66cm+ Dolls Purple Resinsoul Yang!

I am so excited. I ordered from Resinsoul at the start of February, and between coronavirus and some delays because I was slow getting them faceup info, he just arrived!
He's a Resinsoul Yang in purple, with jointed hands, horns, pierced ears, and a custom faceup done by the company.
On to the unboxing!


He came in a normal cardboard box, but I didn't want to have to edit out my address. Carrying case was inside.


First look! I wasn't sure what the purple resin was going to look like; images online varied from what looked like a dark gray-purple to a pale lavender. It's lovely, but very tough to accurately photograph. (Spot investigates.)


I wasn't at all sure about my first glimpse of the faceup, but I was very excited to see that I definitely liked the resin color.


I ordered jointed hands as an add-on, and I'm glad I did. Here's a comparison of a standard hand next to the jointed one. This is the first doll I have with jointed hands, and I really like them. The extra posing options are a lot of fun!


I had a fur wig for him, and it's. Uh. Poofier than expected. I keep getting Pris (Blade Runner) or Jareth (Labyrinth) vibes. I think I'm going to have to trim it down a bit.

I had some issues with his clothing, too. One pair of pants I had just didn't suit him. The shirt I planned on him wearing is just a little too tight and wont fit over his shoulders. So he wound up in this. Pants by CapsuleDoll on etsy, shirt and necklace from Alice's Collections.
This is also the photo where I realized shooting on a purple backdrop did very weird things to the appearance of his skin tone.


This is one of my fav photos of the evening. IRL, his skin has a little more of a grayish cast, but this isn't too far off.


This is probably the most accurate photo of his skintone.
My housemate has been on a boredom-induced sewing spree and decided to make him a cloak (pattern from PamSDminiCostuming on etsy). The sword seemed like a natural accessory. He's supposed to be a technomage, why not...

I didn't! I've made a few things but not this nice, lol.
The shirt was ordered from Alice's Collections, the pants were by Capsuledoll on etsy, and the cloak was made by my friend. I'll pass along your compliments, she'll be thrilled.
