I know it seems crazy, but I've saved up for twenty years or more, waiting for the dolls that said Stephen and Wesley to me. The only dolls I've personally bought since I got into the hobby ten years ago were my ChicLines Morgaine and Vanye. Wiishu and Pook, were gifts, as were my backup Wiishu and Pook. Granado was having a 10th anniversary sale that coincided with my finishing the last book in S & W story arc, and I just decided it was time to quit waffling and commit. I loved the elegant and graceful look of the Adagio for Stephen, and the lean, athletic, rock-climber vigor for Wesley. I knew when I ordered the Adagio that the lack of a mobility joint was going to be an issue, but I figure, frankly, I can construct one, and that body is just so pretty.

But I also want, eventually, to do other characters from the series, and I REALLY don't want a bunch of 70cm dolls. Not just the money, but the space! These two have confiscated a chair in the living room. Granado's little 30cm dolls seemed a good compromise. I just hope they don't drive me crazy making clothes for them, cuz they're really tiny.

One nice thing about Granado are all the different types of bodies. So far, the Vigor is by far the best poser, but they have another, that came out after I made the order, the Ascent, which is basically the Adagio (Stephen) with a peanut mobility joint in the thigh. I'm pretty sure it will be my favorite to play with.

@Teddy I so glad! I do these things because they make me happy and Wiishu lives to make people smile! Box openings are probably my favorite to do because that's when the dynamic between the kids is established. Wiishu and Wesley surprised and delighted me!

 

Anevai got a faceup and new wig! I decided I need much stronger magnifying glasses to do stuff on this scale! Her brows are much courser in photographs than in RL. Ah, well, for the first one in years and only my third faceup, I think she ended up pretty OK.

 

@MaleficentMrsofEvil She's quite wonderful, tho I haven't any other than Morgaine (a FL Chicline) to compare her to, and M is also great. I'm going to do a posing shoot with her...maybe I'll try to get that done today, now that she has her pretty face. I'll put it up in the "reference" tab.
