Myou Doll - waiting room V2

Welp, I just bought another doll secondhand and she's on her way... but then I saw the event on Alice's collection and I had been eyeing the Tangwan boy for so long, I had to take advantage of the event. First time ever ordering a Myou doll and also my first time ordering through Alice's collections!

 

My Chelses and Lingwei-2 arrived recently! I have pictures here for anyone curious as there aren't many owner photos of Chelses out there. I'll be posting more in the future.

I took advantage of their recent event and bought a ver.3 three part body in coffee with a free Dietrich head. She was on my wish list and I figured this was the best time. Looking forward to that one, she's my first vampire sculpt!

And here I am waiting for my first BJD! Bought 1/6 Doudou fullset, with faceup, on December 30. I chose a Delia 1/6 head as a gift for the event and got her the company faceup as well... now I am seeing people in the community who ordered in December are starting to get their MYou orders, so I am hopeful... though AC told me in March my girl needs 1-2 months more to be ready and I'm DYING! I got her on the 27cm v1 body because I figured it will be easier to find patterns for her and I liked the peanut joints! I am so curious to see her, though I am afraid she will look a bit too disproportioned... that head is big! So big, in fact, that the 4 wigs I already got her are in 1/6 size, whoops. I don't know if I should save them for another doll or try adding extra elastic to them...

I know I wrote everywhere on the Internet, but I'll ask again here - who's still waiting for their MYOU? I hope mine will be ready at the end of the month, and I don't want to bother ACBJD again. Also, I checked the waitlist and last year people who ordered a headless, non-blushed body got it in 1-2 months, can anybody confirm?

(yeah, I'm ITCHING, but I also cannot leave town for the holidays if they do not get here, so I'm hoping they will NOT still be WIPs in August XD)

EDIT: asked ACBJD a few days ago. My fullset will take one more month, and the body will take 3-5 months.

EDIT: Alice just wrote to me, and they are shipping DouDou to me! My heart is beating out of my chest, I was resigned to wait for another month!!!!

... aaaand my boyfriend gifted me the Myou 30cm pear body for my birthday so that my 1/6 Delia can be complete!!! And he's even choosing her name XD! I hope it will, in fact, arrive for my birthday, but I doubt it. Since I didn't choose any blushing, maybe I have a chance of my order being ready in two months!

Wow, I was under the impression that bodies were done faster!

She got here yesterday!!! Since then I put her in a red wig and green eyes, but wanted to snap a crappy pic of her just out of the box to capture the moment XD! I named her Delphine.

 

After not being in the hobby for a very long time, I am adding to my doll collection with Myoudolls! I ordered two Vers II bodies and received the two free heads as part of the recent event. I forget how excruciating the wait is. Lol

 

they're not having an event now, are they??? I want another Doudou, tan this timeXD

I CAVED! I ordered the 1/4 Doudou I wanted got the v1 body with a Doudou head as gift, asked if I could pay for faceup separately. I already have a few wigs because my 1/6 Doudou can share, I can't want to start sewing for her!

 

I'm still waiting on a doll from February. But I wrote to Alice's yesterday and was told she should ship within the month. Bit longer than I am used to from them. I ordered during the last free head event, so my actual order is ver. III body + Dietrich head in coffee skin.

Also waiting on a doll since February. She’s only a 17cm doll. I was first told it would take 5 months but now we are entering the 7th month waiting. Is this normally the case with this company ?

 

who knows. 3 months, then 4, and 5,.. probably myou doll is no "cheap and fast" anymore.

 

ACBJD has just sent a shipping notification for my order that has my blank Zuzana on a version I body, ordered on June 17. I am so excited to paint her when she gets here!

Edit 9/7/24: My Zuzana arrived yesterday! I was having some doubts about how the version I body looked but others mentioned the posing was better. After seeing it in person, I actually really like how the body looks so that cleared my doubts! Considering the wait for a blank doll wasn't too bad (about 2 1/2 months) I may actually order a blank Delia from them too.

 

I’m at the 5 month mark for my order as I ordered from ACBJD at the end of April and inquired about the status last week. I was told one of the bodies wasn’t ready yet and will take another month, but I received a tracking number today! Definitely happy but also confused. Two bodies, two heads, all blank no makeup, coffee skin.

That happened to me in June with my fullset Yosd Doudou with faceup XD! I also have ordered towards the end of April this time (body, gifted head, all blank) and they told me it would take one more month. Let's hope the magic happens again!

 

I was inspired by the above to also enquire how much long my order would take - I ordered a Dudu and spare head in April, and it's now October. They said one more month. I kind of didn't want to bother them, but on the other hand I'd like to know how much longer to wait!!! Hopefully not too much longer now? I can wait another month!

 

and i'd prefer canceled order already. i never was fan of dollshe waiting times.

 

I would ask! They contacted me and told me my order is ready to ship, so they were on the dot with what they told me!

it was shipped. october 9th. ordered february 26th. and i don't think doll will be ok, since sd dolls' package is no package.

 

Mine was ordered February 22. Shipped on September 20. Still hasn’t arrived….

 

Got mine today, Oct. 11th, ordered April 21st!

 

I ordered Dietrich at the end of February and she arrived yesterday. One hell of a wait. The doll still had mould release on her but was otherwise as nice as any of my other Myou Doll girls, just took a whole lot longer.

 

still waiting mine...it has been posted a month ago! Im so disappointed, I think lost the interest for this doll and felt let down by ACBJD

 

I still don't have my shipping notice, and it's been a month since I asked. Mind you, it's still at the beginning of November. If I still haven't got any news by the end, I'll ask again. I am very much mournfully looking out the window and saying "oh when will my Myou doll return from the war?" at this stage! How much longer to wait?!

My MSD Doudou is ready and about to ship, I was not expecting that! I ordered on Jul. 31st and at the end of September they told me it would take 3-4 months more, but she's readyyyy! Also, I bought a lot of stuff for her and everything came in two days ago, I'm so happy!!!

 

Congratulations!!! No word on mine yet, even though I ordered in April, so I sent a message asking again for how much longer!

 

Yeah, I would ask. My last doll took 7 months, but I had her in October and I think we ordered at the same time. I don't remember if you ordered through ACBJD or not...?

My MSD Doudou came in Thursday in the end, she's so pretty I do not want to put her away to shield her from light XD! (clearing the table so I can at least snap one decent pic to show her off)

My Dudu (and spare head) is finally here!!!
...And, unfortunately, I don't love them as much as I hoped I would.
I knew the proportions were going to look bobble headed to me, which I don't love, but I was hoping it was going to be okay since they were to be a toddler doll - or, alternatively, a hybrid for the other head would work.
Well, I don't love the proportions, the hybrid I had in mind isn't going to work, and I don't think I can find an alternative? Very sad!!!
I'm going to think about it for a bit, but I'll probably put at least the main doll up for sale - I MIGHT keep the spare head if I can find a body that might work, but my searching hasn't turned up much.
Sigh. All that waiting and anticipating and sometimes it doesn't work out! Here's a photo for those that wanted to see anyway:

 

What a bummer. What a shame that it did not meet your expectations. I honestly like bigger heads on dolls (to the point that the opposite makes me feel a little weird XD I'm used to them), but I perfectly get what you mean. I hope you can either sell Dudu or find a way to bond with them. Personally, just my two cents, I'd sit on them (not literally X°°DDD) and wait a little...

(also, Mimi is currently bald and naked because I'm sewing for her, and has been that way since Friday, poor thing, so here's the only crappy shot I have of her arrival day, in the pretty dress and amazing wig I got her. I feel very guilty every time I buy clothes instead of making them, which was the whole point of owning BJDs for me, but hey, when things are pretty, how can I resist them?)

After contemplating it another day and trying some wigs on, I am liking my Dudu more! (dumb name though, at some point hopefully I'll name her?) I'll be doing what you say and thinking about it a bit more - maybe I can get used to the proportions,a nd I'm sure she'll look better once she's dressed, so I could make some clothes. Awkwardly, I want her to be a girl but she's on a male body! Well, it's not that different for child dolls anyway. I'll also do some more research on potential hybrids - maybe there's something that will work to make her a bit taller! I want her to fit in with my Raccoondolls and FID, and she looks fine as a toddler, but if I can find a slightly taller body, I would be happier I think! So - maybe it will work out after all, who knows!

 

She definitely will - I'm a total newbie at this, but I soon realised that once you dress them up, you actually see a whole personality pop up!!!

 

My Myou Chelses is stateside and through customs!!! Fingers crossed that she'll be here before Christmas!

Just ordered my first MYOU doll today from ACBJD, a blank Carr. I’m really excited but hope they can fix my order. I realized right after purchasing that I had a really old address and my maiden name as the shipping information
I set them a message with my order number asking to fix it and I’m just waiting to hear back.

 

Does anyone know why the Myou website is down? I ordered another body, I’m hoping they’re ok

Who did you order through? I just checked with Alice Collections yesterday and the response was 3-5 months wait time for Myou.
