Reason for choice:

I wanted a 1/6 companion for my first BJD and I loved the Delia sculpt so much, but I chose her standard 30cm body instead of the 27cm one, to have more variety.

Best Points:

I love her serious face. A little stern, but so expressive, and the pink patches under her eyes give her an especially Victorian touch

Worst Points:

The body is single-jointed and loosely strung, so it poses badly, her arms go all over the place and the torso is very floppy, but I love how dangly and taller she is, as she should ideally be an older sister

Name story:

I asked my boyfriend to choose a 'dolly' name, so he choose Mary Lou. We started calling her 'Frankie' as her head came first and the body later. It stuck, but I still have to incorporate it into her story, character-wise. She's Delphine's older foster sister.

Mary Lou, who goes by 'Frankie' for reasons she won't disclose, lost her parents when she was very young, just like her foster sister Delphine did. She was already a serious child, who liked to ponder well before speaking, but, after the loss she suffered, she became a little more withdrawn. With time, her grief turned into a sort of perennial grumpiness. Since she wants to do something good with her life, she's an ambitious, dedicated, hard-working little girl, who focuses sharply on what she wants to achieve. She likes to be perceived as a very serious, no-nonsense person who's more mature than her age, and feigns annoyance when Delphine, who is unable to stay still and not cause mischief, pulls her into her shenanigans. She actually loves Delphine very deeply, and is extremely amused by her antics - she usually channels all her restraint to avoid laughing, because she has a reputation to maintain. She dislikes being seen as vulnerable, but since Delphine can read her mind, she sees through her act, and doesn't really mind...
