Okay, I said I'd be back when I got my Ell's jeans in, so here's a couple (not so great) photos!

These are Popo68-size jeans from Hua-Shi-Yun, and they're really close to perfect! It takes a bit of effort to get the snap closed, but it holds well, doesn't gap, and he can sit in them just fine. They're also long enough they don't pull halfway up his calves when he sits down either. Nice quality and I'm quite happy with them. ^_^ Hope that helps some other people!

Edit: My Janus Miho is on the original Guy body, but the pants I bought for him fit nicely too. (Same size, different style with elastic at the waist. They're a little looser in the thighs than they would be on the Guy II, but that's fine by me.)

Has anyone received a doll in latte brown yet? If so would you mind taking a few pictures of him/her?

 

I'm pretty sure Latte Brown is the same as their former Suntan. I have a Jina in Suntan right before they did the color renaming if that helps you out at all.

Edit: I double checked, and Migi themselves say Suntan and Latte are the same (http://www.migidoll.com/board/view.php?board_name=DREAMBOARD4&choose2=&choose1=&pagenow=1&CB=&ID=242). I'll get photos for you.

My lighting is horrid but here's my unboxing:

I know that sometimes their colors shift over time but this was ordered literally right before they did the name change so this should be identical to current batches of Latte.
For comparison, I have the following tans I can get you comparison photos to (from Latte/Suntan to these other brands):
Luts Real Skin Brown
Luts Tan
Fairyland Tan
Pipos Sienna
MyouDoll Coffee
BambiCroni Milk Choco

It's without a doubt my favorite shade of tan. It's warm but no where near as warm or olive as Luts tans are.

Edit 500: to answer your earlier question about sizing, honestly, these heads are a little large. They have head/body ratio similar to Luts which run a bit big. I personally would not suggest sizing down to a non migi body unless the proportions were identical or it may look odd. I think the 65 cm body really is the perfect size for the Jina head.

 

Thanks for that! I had a tan Jina and Ryu in 2016, and they were like a yellowish brown (it kind of looks like it would match closely to the cream brown Migi has now but I'm not sure.)
I had the original 62cm Guy body and I really liked that one a lot. I really don't like the newer body. I dislike veins and extra muscles. I've also had Jina on a Supia girl body (the original) and the proportions were fine for what I wanted. I was mostly worried about Ryu since I think his head is a bit bigger and I *know* i want him to be a boy. Jina will probably go either way.

Thank you for the picture that does help! Could you show me a comparison between Migidoll and the Luts browns and tans you have please? I actually had a Luts centaur last year and I remember her color pretty well so that may give me a better frame of reference.

ETA: Here's my Ryu from 2016, It's a lovely color but I'm hoping the latte brown will be a little darker.

Found this wig in a bunch I was going to sell and tried it on Callous, for a 7-8 stretch wig it fits beautifully. It is staying with him, the suit will go back to Bleak.

Could someone please recommend other companies' bodies that would fit the the Migidoll's heads (in size and colour).
I'm trying to find a body to match their "Sugar White" or "Meringue Beige" heads.

 

Has Migidoll ever said anything about that "Grace 63" category on their website? Or has anyone asked? I did some poking around the site, but if there's any info, I must have missed it.
(I mean, they could have just meant to put the Sadol body under that heading, but it's still under Style 65 for whatever reason.)

 

I have no idea which bodies to be honest. Isn't there something about it on the resin matching forums? I think there are some pages Scott hybrid. You can ask there?

Okay, so, nothing surprising (or detailed) about this, but I got an answer to my question from Migidoll:

The category name you inquired about is the name of the doll line we will release later.
We will release a 63-centimeter girl from next year.
We'll start selling heads first, and we're preparing to launch this product now.

Just in case I wasn't the only one hoping for confirmation that they're working on it.
Assuming the posing will be similar to the Guy II body, I for one will definitely be interested.

 

Since we're sort of on the topic. I have a tan Migidoll Ryu head from the Volks matching era. Is there any other tan it would match? I don't fancy trying to get a tan Volks body.

 

Hey Everybody!
I have a question for you guys. Does anyone here own a 63 cm and a 65 cm Migidoll male body? I bought a 63 cm boy secondhand and his right hand (fingers) were broken. I have emailed and Q and A posted on the board on the main site, and they haven't replied. I was wondering if you all know if the 65 cm hands are interchangeable with the old slender 63 cm body? I have also asked them if they can make me a new set to purchase, if they still have the mold, or if the 65's fit. Anyone know? Thanks so much!

 

Wait, if that's your question just two before mine on the board, they did finally get around to answering it. I was wondering why it was taking so long myself.

 

I did post on the board and have been checking it very often but didn't see an answer on it. I'll check again right now. I wonder if maybe a translator has been sick or out? Did you get a reply yet?

A few years ago my daughter bought a Ryu. I encouraged him to change his makeup but he left it until last year. Now she is totally delighted with him. It is impressive what makes a beautiful makeup. I want to put here the before and after

Has anyone put their Migi head on a female Argodoll body? I still have a fairy Jina head rolling around! I'm hard-eyeing the most recent female Granado body, but I strongly prefer the super curvy proportions of Argodoll.

 

I finally got Eleos back from Amaranthe Aesthetics, beautiful face up and so I made a doll profile for him. Can't wait to make him an outfit.

Anyone here made outfits for the 65 body 2 before? Tips on patterns?

Got my Migidoll boys in earlier this month. I ended up getting a Gem of Doll body. It's too small for Ryu, but it works well for Jina. I think I'll name him Mateo. We'll see if it sticks. As for Ryu, I'm kind of eyeballing the Luts SDF body, but I'm not sure if their RSB will match with Latte Brown or not. Any input?

 

@taixonay - Aww, cute! Good question - I hadn't thought to compare them. Latte Brown is supposedly the new name for their previous Suntan, and my Suntan boys from a few years ago are a little darker than my new Luts RSB guy, but otherwise it's a pretty close match. Given that MSC tends to make faces look a bit lighter, that might work out just fine. ...if both colors are consistent, of course...

 

Would you mind taking a picture please? I do think this batch of Latte brown/suntan is darker than the guy I had in 2016. So I may need to consider Luts' light tan.
And yeah, despite being ordered at the same time, my Ryu is from a different batch and is lighter than Jina. :T

I have a Migidoll Jina who's name is Jinnai, but I REALLY want a suntan Ell in the future

 

I might have missed the mention when I backread, but why are most of the Style65 models on the Migidoll site sold out aside from the in stock goods?

 

Huh? I think you can still buy separate heads and bodies for Style65 though? That's how I got my Ell. Separate head and body. No FU options though.

 

Hmmm that might be why. I was looking at the set tab, that was the one that used to have the FU option, and it's all sold out there.

 

That's normal for MD. They'll open a group of dolls for a limited time, and then put them back on "sold out" status. So if you want one with a faceup you just have to wait until it comes around again. ^_^

 

@Sianserais the last few times I checked the MD site (admittedly ages ago) the set dolls were still available. Guess it happens that every time I check their site it's during a time when they're selling the sets?

 

I guess? I haven't exactly been keeping track of their calendar, so I can't tell you how often it happens. The FAQ says the following:

** Out of stock
Some dolls can be out of stock for smooth delivery.
However, those will be restocked after a certain period of time (excluding limited dolls), the restock date will be informed by notice or e-mail.
Also our web site will be updated if the goods are restocked. If the goods you want is out of stock, please let us know by Q&A or e-mail, we will reply soon

 

If you want a faceup from them I guess you should wait? But you don't know which dolls they'll restock. So I just went for a blank head and had my face up artist make him beautiful.

 

I finally bit the bullet and bought a wig for Elliot. Well, I got it a week ago, but I only just put it on. Now he looks just right. (Had to hide in the closet, I miss having my own space.)

Hey all! I apologize if this information is buried in threads somewhere but I was wondering what bodies work best with Migidolls, both for male and female (: One post made it sound like Luts would be a good place to look? I had a female Luts body in the past with a Jina head but it was so long ago that I have no memory of whether or not it was a good pairing. Thanks for your help!

 

I have my vampire Yujin on an April Story 70cm body and vampire Ell on an IOS class70.

 

Migidoll has put their heads on the Sadol girl bodies, so maybe check them out?

 

I have my Jina on an Oasisdoll body, but I can do a couple of comparisons for you! Generally taller SD girls are going to be best because Migidoll has pretty big heads. I've got the following bodies: Oasisdoll ItGirl, Volks SDGr Girl, Sadol Love 60cm, and Sadol Honey 63cm. I'll take some photos tomorrow.

ETA: I like the default Style guy body, but I think any SD17-sized body generally should work. Luts may be a bit too pale. Current Migidoll resin is pretty peachy and matches Volks well.

 

I have mine on a Beyours 65cm body, not sold separately, unfortunately. I heard that the DF-H 65cm body also works.

 

I have a question about wigs. My Jina is currently wearing a (what I believe to be) 8/9 inch wig from Crobidoll. There's a wig I want to get him off of Luts but the style is only available in 9/10. Will it still work if I get a wig cap for that wig?

 

It won't look right even with a wig cap - unless it is supposed to be big and fluffy.
4-5 compared to 5-6, and I think I actually did a bit of sewing on the 5-6 to make it smaller but it just didn't look right. The 4-5 fits and looks right.

@SteamWitch My Supia girls (Roda and Rosy) have head sizes where they can switch between 7/8 (stretchy wigs) and 8/9 with a wig cap. I wasn't sure if Migidolls were similar in that regard since their heads tend to be bigger than some SDs.

 

Hey does anyone out there have Migidoll Ryu girls? I know they exist...I just haven't seen one in ages.

 

Is anyone else excited about the new boys? I think they're really handsome. I like Jian a lot!

I have tentative plans to bring home a Nova, but I don't think I can pull funds together during the event.

 

Jian is adorable (and kind of reminds me of someone, except the nose doesn't fit). I don't know what I would do with him, though. I do like Mercury's face, but sadly, I can tell he's another sculpt where the neck is seated too awkwardly close to the chin for my liking.

 

Would anyone know what companies match Migi;'s latte brown skin? I might get one of these new boys heads.

@Koma - Latte Brown is supposed to be the same as their old suntan, and while I haven't found anything that exactly matches it, Luts RSB is very close, as you can see in the reference photo I posted on the previous page.

 

Unfortunately Migidoll's latte brown isn't consistent between batches. I bought a Ryu and a Jina head at the same time and had one of the headbacks sent to Gem of Doll for color matching. When I received the body and the heads, it turned out the body matched Jina much better than Ryu. Despite being from the same order they were made in different batches and the Jina head is noticeably darker than the Ryu head.

I personally recommend getting a color matched body, but if that doesn't sound appealing I think Luts Real skin brown and light tan may be close. I only have a Luts light tan doll but used to own a doll in real skin brown.

I am getting my very first BJD this week and he is a second hand Migidoll Ryu. I am super excited, the seller was very nice to me and made sure I will have everything I need to get started in the dolly community. The seller is selling off all their male dolls and wanted to help out someone new in the fandom. My name is Shadow, I am turning 27 years old this month, and I am non-binary. @ShadowOath - Welcome! Ryu is an adorable sculpt. I had to adopt one secondhand a while back myself. ^_^ Do you have any specific plans for your new boy?

 

He is adorable for sure. :3 I am still struggling with his character at the moment. I have gotten him yet so I am thinking maybe when I have him I'll have better ideas. I am super excited. His faceup has been washed off by his previous family, so I'm a little nervous to try that for myself but I am excited and already have some ideas. :3 thank you for responding to me.
