Okie doke, so yours looks like some of my own A types. Which blushed can match a souldoll body for example. Now [MENTION=65183]Sabrian[/MENTION] you also sent me your piccie,, which also looks pinkish, very similar to my souldoll vito NS, which is a wee bit pinker. So, I am thinking souldoll can be a good match, if anyone likes those bodies. I have yet t find fault on them, I got 2, a really old one first release, then the souldoll double, and now I am thinkin I will buy the new double

 

I like the look of the old double body. I might get that for my Cho, then. Doll Leaves matches really well but I don't like their sd bodies. I'm keeping that Doll Factory body in mind though, I think their white might work really well. It will probably be a while before I order anything tho xD

Edit: I have a souldoll zenith, it's a very handsomely sculpted body. The neck is really thick tho and I think it's the same for the new double. I can check if the head fits if you want!

It's looking very overcast today, I hope it will be that way this afternoon. I feel like taking some pictures of my Miho since I got all these new migi boys I can't do anything with yet!

 

ACK Why do I ever look at Migidoll?! I need Elf Owen like burning....He's so perfect....

 

Actually, I bought the new double yesterday with the sale together with a friend who wanted a head that will be discontinued >_< I think the zenith may be a tad too thick for the migi, but tbh I don't usually boy bodies taller than 65cm, because of practicality XD .... NOW the wait increases to more pain, still waiting on shipping notice from migidoll and now also add the souldoll LOL

 

Oh good luck! I just saw their measurements were the same for the neck circumference. I think the new double is just a shorter version of zenith. That's what it looks like, anyway.

 

Oh man, Siho is amazing! He's got a very "Korean pop star" vibe to him that I really like, but I'm biased XD I'm not in the market for any new dolls right now, but if I were...

 

Yes , is pretty much the small version XD! Problem is I am still waiting for a bloody shipping date :/ nothing yet from migidoll, except what the order tracking system their website has :<

Thank you! He's the new release, and the only SD of my collection so far. He towers over the rest of my crew. It's taken me a bit to get used to this size (I have him on the 62cm guy body, which I know is on the smaller side of SDs), but I've come to really appreciate it!

 

ashooree > I personally like shorter SDs too. They're much easier to handle.

cian, agreed! Maybe someday I'll be more adventurous and go larger, but I just don't have the space right now. Your Miho is amazing! I love his eyes, they're perfect for him.

Oh wow, Mishita, your Mu is fantastic- love the pose, the background, the way he looks like he could step right out of a dystopian society...awesome. Sorry to hear about the shipping worries, though.

 

Anybody have a good guide for clothes on the BNB 16th body (64cm)? I have a closet full of nine9style SD13 and SD17 clothes. The SD13 bottoms fit but limits movement (can't even get him to sit!) and the SD17 is too baggy in both tops and bottoms.

I see some people talking about hybrids with Souldoll bodies, and I can say the resin match between NS-A and Souldoll NS is pretty good, but not perfect. I have my Jean on a Souldoll Zenith girl body, and I really like it a lot. Not a big fan of the hand set it came with (I bought it secondhand and didn't have a choice) but other than that, it's a really super body. I've never had any problems with any of the Souldoll bodies I've got.

I love all the fantastic little resin people. Migidolls are beautiful. I'm super excited cuz I just ordered the elf ear Owen head. I also got one of each of the smaller boy heads. Sun and Mir, so I qualified for the sleeping Jina. Not sure what I'm going to do with that one... I also finished paying off the dollzone body for my Ryu. Hopefully it makes it home with enough time for me to do the face-up before I have to pack up my studio to move. I have his wig and eyes already. And his boots lol. But I don't have any clothes made for him D:

Also, I wonder if I'm the only person who's not as impressed by Migi's sleeping sculpts compared to their open eyed sculpts. ...>_< Their dreaming sculpts though, that's a different thing. I love those.

 

Indeed! Though I did get a bunch of fabrics to make him some button-down shirts, and little vests. There will probably be more than a few photoshoots of him with his boyfriend that have a lack of clothing. Werewolves... what can I say?

With the order that we just placed, and now the Yujin I just snagged off the market, we're up to eleven Migidolls. Two Ryus, a Fairy Jina, two Ells (one sleeping, one vampire), Mu, Cho, Yujin, Sun and Mir, and the Elf Owen. Not sure if I should count the sleeping Jina, because that one probably won't stay, because Myrretah's Fairy Jina, Vail, insists on being the only Jina in the household. All of them are hybrids, though. Jaide will get the dollzone body that is on the way, and the other Ryu, Sslvyr, will probably get one of the doll chateau bodies. Vail has an old doll family body. The Mu, Ferri, will be getting the old Souldoll Double body. The sleeping Ell, Dietric, has a Senior Delf body, and the vampire Ell, Kennedy, will get a Doll Legend 60cm body. The rest.... still a bit up in the air. (well, the little ones either have a body waiting, or have one picked out, but they are OT for this thread)

With a lot of companies, especially ones that have more anime-inspired faces, like Fairyland, I prefer the sleeping or dreaming sculpts because I can decide how big I want the eyes without having to worry about covering up epoxy. But with Migidoll, I like their open eye sculpts best, because their faces are so well proportioned.

I got some clothes in the last days, and all of my dolls (except Kay 2...he'll be Loki'd in the next days ) are complete now, woho.

My Jina with the black hair doesnt't really know if he's a boy or girl, haha (he has a male body, but the face is soooo girly)...so I guess he's transgender

 

OkamiKodomo > That's a lot of Migis, haha. And I agree with what you say about Migi's eyes being proportionate to their faces. (Though, I do like Fairyland's open eyes and modded open eyes sculpt so that's a different opinion ><)

Miez_LaKatz > Yay, clothes for them, and that's a lot of Migis you have there too, haha. I have a similar problem with my Jina. I used to think he's just a boy with long pink hair and a girly face, but sometimes I feel like calling him a her. Errrr. Haha. I've taken to just treating him as genderfluid/genderneutral though.

 

Oh it's not even that I dislike Fairyland sculpts, though many of the MNFs are just not to my taste, I just prefer their sleeping versions. I have a 2014 Feeple Juri though that I adore exactly how he is. You will probably get to see pics of him once I finish Kennedy, as they're best friends. It's a long way off though, as the elf Owen and the M Cute boys are the last purchase for a while. I need to move at the end of the summer, so it's time to save money.

The Jina sculpt is so pretty, it can go either way. I love sculpts that can do that, be either male or female. It's great way to shell a character that is genderfluid or to get a girl character that is a little more masculine/boy character that is a little more feminine.

 

OkamiKodomo > Oh, haha, I think I misinterpreted what you meant about Fairyland then. I can't really say which version (OE or Dreaming) I prefer though. Hm, Jina is really pretty. Mine goes between being cool and dressed in black (still with his pink hair) and being somewhat girly. I like that the Migi girls are a bit more masculine, though actually their boys are somewhat feminine (not so much, but some sculpts can pass off as girls).

 

Nah, no worries. (And actually I think my Juri is a 2013... I don't even remember) It's just an example of a company that favors Big Eyes Small Mouth aesthetic, so I tend to gravitate towards the sleeping versions, so I can have the eyes to my taste. Only down side to smaller eyes is that it's hard to find manufactured eyes that fit without gapping, that have small enough irises to not make the doll look doe-eyed. I usually buy a few pairs of eyes hoping for the best, but end up caving in and making them myself.

If both of my Ryus didn't already have characters outlined for them, I'd be tempted to make one a girl. That little smile would make a perfect saucy little lady that knows how to rebuild an engine, and climbs trees with the best of them.

 

Absolutely My Jina girl with the very feminine hair still looks like a tomboy while my Jina boy is just very very sweet

Oh wow, what a heart throb! I love the versatility of Migidoll boys (and girls!), and I especially love the very realistic look about them. I can't say I've ever seen one migidoll look the same as the next

 

Going to jump on the bandwagon and show you my favourite boy, a Migidoll Yujin head on a crobidoll body Onyx♥ I also have a Janus Miho but his wig hasn't arrived yet ;w;

Hey everyone! So I'm relatively new to the BJD hobby and I need some expert advice.
I've been dying to buy a migidoll miho forever. Thing is, I'm not a massive fan of the body. It looks a bit too slim and lanky which doesn't suit the character I have in mind. I know most doll bodies are really tall but my character is supposed to be relatively short and cute
Any recommendations as to what bodies match a normal skin migi head? I've only looked at a Spiritdoll Elegance body so far but I'd like to know what other alternatives are out there. Thanks!

What kind of bodies are you looking for? Short and slim? Short and muscular? And how short are you looking at? 60cm? Under 63cm? Migidolls match quite a lot of bodies out there, so it's easier to help if we know what you're looking for.

So it occurs to me that I have had my beautiful, precious little poser, a Miho, for over a year, and I don't think I've ever posted him to share with all of you. I must remedy that! Although I don't have access to most of my photos right now, here's my boy, Alex, saying hello with a selfie!

Anyone out there own an Owen?

I used to back in the day, but not for a long period of time.....I just got my Elf Owen and I have ZERO eyes that work for him. I'm thinking he's a 12mm, but not sure. Then I couldn't remember the eyes I had in the original Owen - are they open more on Owen than on Elf Owen? I couldn't find Owen listed on Migi's site (was he discontinued?) but here is Elf Owen (how many more times can I type Owen in one post?).

Basically I'm wondering if 12mm Makoeyes would look good in him, keeping in mind that they're a bit smaller than a normal 12.

I really need more eyes in smaller sizes. Every doll I've gotten in the last year is 10-12 and I have mostly 14-16s :\\\\

I leave you with some River spam as encouragement (who also wears 12mm eyes - I swear I have those black and red eyes in every size now.)

 

River is such a gorgeous sculpt. I love his strong jawline!

I just stopped by the site for the first time in a while and saw Joe... I think I may have yet another Migidoll on my wishlist. I'm also loving the look of Siho, though I'd really like to see a blank sculpt picture for him.

Yep, original Owen was discontinued way back on Feb 2013, so I was actually pretty surprised when he was (kinda) brought back for the current website's anniversary.

Elf Owen kinda has the narrow, "cynical"-type eyes, whereas original Owen was pretty wide-eyed (orig. Owen's pages: head, full, suntan (although the preview picture at the top is Jina's, the rest of the page are Owen's pictures).

That is a nicely sculpted pair of lips woo. Haha. I was going to say how that photo doesn't show up, but I clicked "reply with quote" and it showed up inside the reply box (but not on your comment). I'm not sure if this is just an issue I'm having with the photo. But I can see it now, and wwoooo. Migidoll has been skipping over blank photos for some of their dolls recently, and I think it's a pity! I like a lot of their sculpts when I can see them blank.

 

Did anyone hear order Black Knight Cho? If so, have you received him? I ordered the full set on May 13th and am getting a little antsy waiting for him.

 

I finished the face-up on one of my Ryus. I had to match him to a dollzone Yellow body, so this is not what their normal looks like. I made his eyes, too, and the wig is Leekeworld's premium synthetic mohair in Burgundy. (style is LP-014_E with the curls relaxed with warm water)

I have a question for those of you who have Migidoll's guy body. When clothed does it look androgynous? I'm asking because I'm toying with the idea of get a suntan Jina but I want to make the sculpt a girl without going through the hassle of trying to hybrid. Any advice or suggestions and even pictures would be very much appreciated.
