Just placed an order for a 57cm body through Alice's. It's going to be for my Magic Time Gold head. While I don't think the resin match will be perfect, I just love the aesthetics of the Maskcat body so much I'm willing to live with it. Wonder if I'll end up getting it this year?

 

I've recently ordered a doll from another company (completely unexpectedly!!). I've joined their Waiting Room and they have a list which includes everyone's orders and dates etc. so that we can dream about when our dolls will arrive! There doesn't seem to be one for Maskcat but then I also don't know how to make one or whether anyone would even be interested?

 

Today it is 4 months since I ordered my Ronia! Hope she will arrive soon
I could make a list like that, but it would have to be later once I have my computer ^^

 

Well, if @Bootsy, if you are interested, I ordered my Yael (fullset) the 9th of June so I am at 3 months and a few days into my wait! I expect it will be soon finished and shipped, though shipping is heavily delayed because of COVID-19, it is a step in the right direction.

I got my shipping notice today. So excited!

 

I asked Alice's Collections if they knew what the current waiting time was from MaskCat. They replied that it was about 6-7 months.
The waiting time was always going to be different between ordering from Alice's Collections and direct from MaskCat, but I thought it was interesting.

 

They told me that it would be about six months when I ordered from them in June.
Still waiting....

I just received my Ronia! I ordered her on July 20th I am yet to open her but I’ll try to post her here when I do!

 

Some unexpected good news!

I emailed Alice Collections about my order and according to Maskcat, my Joy should be done in 20 days!

She should be home in time for Christmas!

 

Just placed an order for a Bruna with normal skin and the company faceup! I was originally going to wait until late November, but when I got a bit of extra money I decided to just go ahead and put down the first 50%, because I've been wanting her for months, and it doesn't hurt to order it earlier rather than later! I'll add my order to the waitlist now!

 

My Ronia finally arrived yesterday, just a few days less than 6 months since ordering.
Unfortunately one of her fingers had broken, but I messaged Alice's collections about that and they would see what they could do about it.
I hope I'll get a new one, but luckily she came with a cute extra set of hands I can use while I wait ^^

Edit: I just got a reply that they will send me a new hand to replace the broken one

 

Allelouia! After 48 days in postal limbo, my Yael is finally home!

She's definitely gorgeous, much more than what I expected. The dress and earrings are well-made and it definitely was worth it to splurge for the fullset. I am impressed by the faceup as well.

Unfortunately, the left leg suffered of a bit of chip near the ankle. Fortunately, it was small and easily repaired with a bit of glue. It's barely noticeable (you really have to search for it) and easily covered with socks and shoes.

In summary: I don't regret anything. XD

I am swamped with work, but I will try to take some pictures this week-end!

And congratulations @lyaam12! That shipping limbo time is terrible! When did you order from Maskcat? I'm assuming with the fullset it would take a little longer than basic, but I know snyblind's Ronia took almost 6 months.

I'm sorry about the ankle chip, but it sounds like it could have been much worse!

 

@StellaMarigold : Oh it definitely could have been worse. She has her boots on now, but even without, you have know it's there and get really close. Because of the postal limbo and the situation of the postal service, I was afraid she would come with more damage, so I am very relieved.

I ordered in the beginning of June, the ninth if I am not wrong. I reveived my shipping notice in the beginning of October (6th maybe). It may or may not be relevant, but I ordered 3 wigs with Yael (all beautiful) and I ordered directly from Maskatdoll.

 

Thank you, @lyaam12! So it seems like 6-ish months is about standard for the current shipping conditions (on the website it says 3-4 months).

Yael is gorgeous - definitely one of my favorites! I look forward to your photos!

 

@lyaam12 congrats on getting your doll! Sorry to hear about the chipped leg. Maybe if you took a picture of it they could send you a new part?

 

Took some pictures! I apologize for the poor quality of the backdrop (I am in the middle of moving) and for the poor quality of the pictures (I am a mediocre photographer). I believe she is quite easy to photograph though! The first two pictures are with the eyes that Maskcatdoll sent her with, the later ones are with the eyes I commissioned for her.

And the unfortunate chip. As you can see, it is barely visible and I already glued it back. Not bad for a hell of a trip, that took almost 50 days, with 7 trips forth and back between the warehouse and the airport in the middle of a pandemic!

As you can guess, I am over the moon with happiness. My pictures don't really do her justice though, however I hope that they can help someone make his or her mind up about getting her, because I hesitated a lot when I ordered her in June because of a lack of owner photos. And she is beyond beautiful, I can only encourage you to consider her.

Just ordered my second Maskcatdoll! It's a Feline - 26 cm line! I wish time could run

 

I just ordered my first Maskcat doll! I ordered Astrid with normal skin and no faceup from Maskcat directly and am getting 2 of their little 7 year anniversary cats!! I'm so excited!!!

That's good to know that the Astrid doll mold needs repair, so it might take longer! Thank you for sharing.

 

I'm waiting on a tan Lilias and I ordered her on December 1st so I'll get their cute little cat event doll too, so excited and I ordered an Astrid in light skin color. I am so so excited!

@Kati1562 So exciting! I ordered my Bruna in tan at the end of the event. It took me so long, because I've been switching perpetually between Lilias and Bruna, took the one out and put the other back in... but in the end I went with Bruna, because I knew, I will place my order for Astrid in normal skin in December and they would look good together. Lilias in tan is so gorgeous too. I really like Zee's Studio dolls and I'd love to see her as a druid in tan with white hair Maybe next year

 

Lilias really was an Impulse buy. I planned to get her later next year but everyone around me, even my mom was so amazed by her and told me she was gorgeous and then maskcat dropped that event and I just had to buy her now . Also I got extra payment because of Christmas and I usually save a lot so I treated myself.
Congrats on buying Bruna, I love all of their dolls, they are just so dreamy!

 

Congratulations to everyone on making their purchases! I'm still trying to decide. At first I thought Margo full doll with extra Ronia head, but then I started looking more closely at Juni (I like the "brightness" in her face) and now I'm thinking full Ronia with an extra Juni head. But it's very hard to choose! They are all beautiful.

 

@StellaMarigold It really is so hard to choose!! Their girls are all so lovely!! Juni is so elegant and warm, and Ronia is so precious (with a touch of sad which I find very darling in dolls!) I understand the dilemma!

@quake Congrats for your purchase!! I also was looking and Bruna!! She's so very very lovely!! I can't wait to see yours if you share pictures after she arrives!!

 

@melodystarlite - I know what you mean about Ronia looking a bit sad - I definitely have a weakness for melancholy dolls! She also strongly reminds of of a porcelain doll I had as a child (and that I loved and sadly was broken).

 

@StellaMarigold Absolutely!! Melancholy is the right word for sure. And I'm sorry to hear about your childhood doll being broken! I also had porcelain dolls growing up, and I relate. They can be so delicate!

my order from july arrived, doll is so beautiful; she came in perfect condition. *resin quality and joints movement is great i'm satisfied, i am yet to work on her faceup and hands blushing.

On the 5th of January I received my shipping notice from Alice's Collections! I ordered on the 29th May 2020 so I have been waiting for 7 months and 9 days for my doll to ship. I was starting to think she'd never arrive! *happy dance*

 

@Bootsy: Yaaaaay!!!! Only a few days more I imagine!

 

My last DHL parcel was only a couple of days, this one is coming EMS so hopefully! Of course, I have to go away tomorrow and won't be home until late Monday so it better not be too fast :-)

@Snyblind - that's so great! Maskcat seems like a really good company - I haven't ordered from them yet, but they've answered my many questions so patiently!

I asked to have the second half of my invoice sent over, and after I'd paid, Maskcat said they thought they could send my Bruna (ordered in early November) after CNY! I wasn't expecting her to ship for another two months!

@StellaMarigold I think you’re initial impression is spot on. I’ve ordered from Maskcat before and from my experience they are one of the easiest going companies I’ve done business with.

hi there^^ Just popping in and getting excited for everyone after reading back a few pages.
I ordered tan Lillias back in November and I am getting antsy. I ordered through Etsy and it says I can leave a review after arrival on February 13th (!)
I think really I may have 2-3 more months of wait. But I am hopeful that it could be soon

 

After months of pining, I ordered Yael! I've been smitten since the first moment I saw her, so this moment was inevitable

 

My last payment is due on 15th this month, I have been told not to even expect/hope the doll coming sooner than 4 month
Looks like it will be a long wait....

 

I just got my Juni in the mail and she's so beautiful! She's my first doll ever and I couldn't be happier that I chose Maskcat!

@Twistedcaldal - Congratulations! I would love to see photos as well whenever you want to share them - Juni, Margo, and Ronia are all on my list, but I haven't been able to decide between them, and there are so few owner photos of Juni!
