Hi everyone,

Last night I placed orders with Alice’s Collections and also MaskCatDoll directly. From Alice’s Collections I’ve ordered Astrid 57cm and a Frances head. From MaskCat I’ve got an outfit and a bust for Frances’ head. Naturally the gorgeous new 1/6 bust was released just after I ordered so I’m going to need to talk to them about adding it. Typical timing!

Should I have any luck with getting job, I want to order her on my birthday in December.

 

I got a shipping notice, ordered in January. Only issue is the tracking number doesn't work, and the website is confusing and not in English.

In the meantime, I already fell for Frances and considering both Feline and Joy...

I so understand you! I'm waiting for little Joy and already thinking about ordering another Maskcat doll! I love so much their girls and I hope they will release more 1/4 sized dolls in the future. The 1/3 size is a little too much for me....

 

Are you ordering directly for Maskcat site or through Alice Collections?
I am planning to order, but need a 3-4 month layaway, so not sure what to do.

 

@Flaxen Hair Girl: I totally thought about that too, telling myself "don't get Yael even if you love her, she's too big, she's 57 cm and you're 148cm, that's almost 40% of your height, you'll never be able to handle her, get Joy, she's not even 20% of your height".
But I saw that the limited fullest of Yael was still available and I did love everything about it, and I reasoned that I could always get Joy later, so...heart triumphs over reason. And what a crushing defeat it was!
I love Joy's face, elegant, a bit mischevious. There is not much pictures of Joy on DoA, but she looks so pretty on the company pictures. I hope yours arrive soon!

@Dunpeald: I ordered directly from their website, in one payment. Maskcat offer a 50-50 layaway, though I guess you could try to contact them to negociate? Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the layaway system, it's not very popular where I come from (except leasing for middling to expensive cars). I hope you can find the solution that is best for you.

Eheh, totally agreed - I'm 158cm Though I recently ordered a Dodolls Dream Margaret which is a small SD, around 50cm! But it was love at first sight, she's really unique!
Maskcat dolls are so beautiful, I'm really tempted by their large dolls. Maybe, in Autumn, who knows...

 

Has anybody on this thread received their Maskcat doll recently? I'm wondering what the wait time is right now. I'm 2 months into my wait for Feline and I'm expecting that it will be at least another couple of months. I guess I could always email the artist and ask...

 

I just ordered a Joy from Alice Collection~

I ordered several things so I hope that doesn't delay her!

 

The tracking number still says not allowed to track. Based on what I've heard online, this happens with ems. Makes me a bit nervous.

 

That is a stressful situation @Greymews. I had a doll from another company sit at the airport in Korea from June 5 to June 20 and EMS had no tracking until today when they said that it was on a plane to Canada. Things are still very messed up it seems. One positive thing is that more international and domestic flights are being added all the time.

 

What you said is just what my googling said, I assume she's stuck in China, and I'll be updated once she moves.
6 months is a long wait, my longest, I tend to pick quicker companies.

 

She showed up yesterday! No warning, and packaged super safely. I will need to sort out pics, but she is fantastic and came with 2 wigs!

I've just receiving my shipping notice from MaskCatDoll. I mentioned before that I've got one order coming from Alice's Collections, and one from MaskCatDoll directly, and things are moving!

My order containing an outfit and two busts - the 1/3 and 1/6 - is now on the way :-)

It's coming via DHL - so it'll be interesting to see how quickly it gets to Australia!

 

I'd heard that DHL wasn't delivering to Australia yet @Bootsy, so that's very good news. I think that you ordered around the end of May so a very reasonable wait time.

 

I wasn’t expecting anything for months yet, so I was really surprised by the shipping notice! It’s made me even more impatient though, I’m so keen to get my dolls but no movement on those yet. I find myself obsessively watching MaskCatDoll box opening videos on YouTube...

 

And my parcel is here! DHL were lightning fast. I haven’t opened it yet but can’t wait

I just received a shipping notice for my Feline in tan resin. I'm so excited! She should arrive next week. That's almost exactly 3 months from ordering, which is very good considering what's been going on in the world during that time.

This thread has been a bit quiet (lol) but I’m just jumping in anyway because I just ordered Maskcat’s Ronia and I’m soooooo excited!

this is my first post in a waiting room, i ordered one of the maskcat's big girls taking advantage of the extra free wig event, banyo said she might hold a special event this winter but i couldn't wait any longer
i've been looking foward to purchase one since they came out. i made the order this month through a familar dealer and they replied it's currently a 7-8 month wait which sounds a little crazy for me this will mean should arrive in the middle of the social-economic crack so im crossing all my fingers there will be no problems in the delivery.

I ordered Feline in the very beginning of June, so I guess I’ll get her in August/September? I’ve also ordered Joy in the beginning of July and I’ll be ordering Inez in the beginning of august so I can have the full trio. I’m scared how much customs will cost, probably $80 CAD per doll. I’m glad that DHL is quick though, I order a lot from AliExpress and DHL has never failed me. I feel like one of those expectant mothers and all I can do to pass the time waiting is sewing clothes for my doll children in hopes that it will fit them.

 

When I ordered my Joy at the end of June, my dealer told me the current wait was about six months, so unfortunately it might be a similar wait for you.

Oh wow, that's like half a year! I wonder if it's because of high demand since most people seemed to be getting theirs in 3-4 months? I guess the 6 months is just an estimation like in the worst case scenario. Who knows? As long as it arrives at the right address and safely then that's good enough for me.

I assume that six months is a generous estimate to keep me from asking about the progress of my order but six months is what I'm planning on.
If it's earlier, then all the better!

I today received a notice from DHL, my Maskcatdoll Joy is on her way home! She should arrive on August 18th, that means exactly 3 months after I placed my order at Maskcat online store
So excited! I'll post photos as soon as she arrives!

Agreed! Because of Covid-19 I experienced a 8 months wait time for a couple of dolls I ordered 3 months is great!

 

im glad to hear that and congrats your new girl. i've also been told the current wait list for manufracture is 8 months! maybe it's loger on bigger dolls?

 

Congrats @Flaxen Hair Girl! I also received a notification early this morning that Feline and Joy are dispatched. I ordered Feline in the beginning of June and Joy in the beginning of July. Guess our Joys were shipped at the same time! I wonder if they share the same birthday, they could be twins haha.

How nice! Our Joys will be long-distance sisters! According to DHL notice, she should arrive on August 18th, but based on my own experience, the parcel could be here already on Monday. DHL delivers at lightning speed
She will be a Leo, great star sign!

I think it all depends on where the manufacturer is located. My 8 months wait time was for dolls by European companies that work with casting factories based in China. So, during the lockdown, the usual 4 months time wait gets a 8 months wait time. Production was discontinued, then European companies couldn't receive the dolls from the casting factories, everything was delayed.
But, fingers crossed, things are slowly changing

I ordered the doll directly from Maskcatdoll online store. It usually takes a bit less, without intermediary/authorized agents/stores.
I'm sure you'll get yours soon!

But thinking I still have a long waiting time ahead will maybe make me more patient
Internally my mind is still going "Maybe it'll arrive soon! Omg! I want it now! Today! Maybe next week? Maybe in another month! Gaaaaaah!"

 

I think you'll receive a notice soon! The production time, as indicated in their website, is the same than small dolls so...I'm crossing my fingers for you!
