Little Rebel Doll Discussion

Finally took the jump and ordered a body for my LR Seven.
Ordered a Dika Doll 65 cm female body from Alice Collection. Hope the proportions fit.

 

received my DollFamily H tan hands. not a perfect match but close. The hands have very dainty fingers.
so far, Fairyland is spot-on, but no one wants to share their body. Taylor has to make do with a white body and long sleeves, high collar.

Yes, the match is not perfect but some blushing will make it better, I think.

I ordered a Jelle head in normal skin with a custom face up today!!! I am so excited! Now I just need to decide on a body for him...

 

I forgot the Jelle's were today. I'm kicking myself because I wanted Jelle in Tan. The tan must have sold out fast....

 

I actually set an alarm just to make sure I remembered! But yeah, I checked back on the site no more than two or three hours later and the tan was sold out already!
I would have loved to get Jelle in tan because the tan resin for Little Rebel dolls is beautiful, but mine is going to be a brother to my first boy, Seth, so I opted for the lighter option.

 

Same here. I put a reminder in my cellphone, so I wouldn't forget & so at 16:00 I was ready for it. x'D I really love tan resin dolls (and Jelle in tan looked pretty awesome) but... for the character I had in mind, it needed to be NS. But who knows, perhaps in the future? Little Rebel still has plenty of other beauties, after all...

Also, yeah... a body... I have no idea yet where I'm going to get one. I try to keep an eye on this thread (for some guidance on the matter) because the thought of just randomly ordering a body and hoping the color match will work out doesn't exactly sit well with me for a number of reasons. ^^;

 

I hovered over my keyboard around 16:00 to make sure I do not forget Got a Jelle in normal skin But I shouldn´t have worried so much, since she is still available in that color, hehe. Now for the body! I would love a 60cm girl body, but I have to see if the head is not too big for that first. Looked around a bit already yesterday, but the bodies I liked so far have a too small neck. Spiritdoll would be a good choice, but I hate ordering from them due to their horrendous shipping fees and superlong wait times.

I love Jelle as a girl! Mine is waiting for her body to get here before she gets painted, in case color matching needs to be a thing.
(Also, re SpiritDoll bodies, have you seen this one and this one?)

 

Thank you, @Girrl ! I will wait for the head first before I decide on a body. I would really prefer a 58-60cm body, those two bodies offered are the bigger ones. But since I have both the Elegance and the Proud body at home for other dolls, it will be easy to see what fits better It's too bad that the cheaper bodies like Impldoll, e.g., have only 8-9cm neck circumference.

 

@Ashemanu - I considered impldoll bodies for my male Jelle and had the opposite issue with the necks being too big! Their star male body has a 12 inch neck, which is really too bad because I genuinely like their sculpts.

I'm looking at Akagi Doll bodies right now since they have a sale event on right now and one of their 66cm boy bodies would be a perfect fit, but sadly they don't have a girl body that would work for yours...

 

@Cecelia, have you found a body by now? I got my Jelle head today, it´s really beautiful! I thought it would be smaller, but it still looks good on a smaller body. The only real problem is the neck size. I ended up ordering a 59cm Ringdoll girl body for her, the one one with the 10cm neck size. Hopefully it will work ... size and colorwise. The order was a bit rushed cause the Ringdoll event at Alice Collections is on its last day today.

 

@Ashemanu - I haven't got the head yet, since I got a custom face up, but I have a body on the way! Well, technically two bodies, since I'm getting a slightly smaller body along with a head I kind of fell in love with. I'm hoping the larger body (a discontinued dollzone male body) will fit with the head, but if it ends up being too big I will switch out the other head from the smaller body (an r-line crobidoll body) onto the larger one, and use it instead!

They are both might be a little yellow from being older than the head, but I'm not too concerned about resin matching perfectly as long as the head looks okay.

I hope your body works well for your girl! Ringdoll bodies are so beautiful, and I've heard so many people say they're awesome posers!

 

Impldoll's Model body is a bit small for Little Rebel; Svein the Body Snatcher And their muscular Star body is rather too buff - but I think April Story works quite well Girl Kamu however bear in mind this body is taller than the 60cm claimed in their site.

I just got my Kamu an Angel of Dream body - the match looked pretty good in the dim light of yesterday evening but this morning reveals their pink to be significantly paler. Nothing a bit of blushing can't fix!

My Jelle's intended body arrived on Friday! It's a really nice body, I can't wait to try it out. I tested it with my Luts Senior Delf Karis doll and the resin match was perfect, so I'm expecting it to match the Little Rebel resin color pretty well too.

The Jelle head shipped out a few days ago as well, with an absolutely gorgeous custom faceup! I'll be posting pictures when he arrives, but it might be a few extra days before his eyes get here. He won't be blind for more than a few days though

I have a kaylar in tan and I had to dye him to get him to be the correct color, but now he's a solid 95% match.

I used Rit Dyemore in sandstone and he's on a resinsoul body

I also know for sure that resinsoul will do resin matching for a fee? Not sure about the other companies though.

His head is tan skin but I dyed the body. His body was originally light tan resin? But light tan is really really close to normal skin so his body didn't match his head at all until I dyed it

 

Does anyone know how often the tracking for orders from Little Rebel gets updated? :O It has been about 5 days without updates on the package and I wanted to see if this is the norm. Thanks in advance everyone~

 

That's been pretty common for me. That and telling me my package is "classified" lol. I wouldn't worry about it yet.

My package went from "classified" to suddenly at my door! The faceup on my Jelle is exactly as I'd hoped! I'm so happy I'll take a picture tomorrow when there's light again, though I don't have any eyes or a wig ready for him yet. Or a body lol. Still waiting on it to arrive....

Your Jelle looks wonderful @shinibun !!!! I love the eyes you're using. What a gorgeous face up. Did you manage to find a good body for them yet?!

 

Thank you! I was planning on using brown eyes, but now I'm considering the green. I have a Peakswood boy in their newest tan on order and I'm hoping I'll be able to use that body for my tan LR heads too, but I honestly have no idea on the color match since it's a brand new color lol. I don't want to invest the money into something else until I know, but I'll probably go for a Luts body next year if Peakswood isn't a half decent match.

Got an email with photos of Kaylar who will be released on Nov. 3. I really hadn't planned on getting any more dolls, especially larger ones, but he sure is tempting.

 

Well, the good news...! My Jelle arrived and he's goooorgeous! The bad news... my mum accidentally peeled off a chunk of his face up, then tried to fix it and made it even worse. I wish I could do face ups myself but I'm sooo shaky from my tremors... poor Tate, he's been with me for a day and is already unwell! I feel so bad for him!

 

@cecilia - aw...that's a shame. but there are a lot of very talented faceup artists who might repair his face, or start over with something similar.
c'mon, mum, what's a few dollars more?

 

I bought Min (my tan LR Sarang) a hat! Actually I bought it for another one of my dolls, but Min kind of ended up stealing it...

Now I just gotta buy him a body. I think I've decided on the Loong Soul 62cm boy body. I'm just gonna hope for the best as far as resin matching goes. I've heard lots of good things about LS posing, but the sculpting of the hands are what ultimately sold me.

Does anyone know if Loong Soul usually does any holiday events though? I'm thinking I'll probably wait and see if they will since I'm not in any major hurry.

 

How... how does someone accidentally peel off a piece of face up? O_O

@petiteballerine - Sadly my mum doesn't want to spend money on my dolls, but I'm going to see if I can get together enough money for a repair on my own Its too bad, but she didn't do it on purpose and feels really bad about it, so I am not too upset with her. My Jelle head will be back to normal soon!

@ZylphiaCrowley - Whoa!! HANDSOME!! I'm a big fan of Loong Soul so I'd be really excited to see a Little Rebel / Loong Soul hybrid!

@emac - Good question... I have a very bad hand tremor, so I was unable to attach his eyelashes myself. My mum's offer to help ended up with her not knowing where to put the glue, and though it would have dried clear and not been a big deal, she thought to take it off herself; it had stuck a bit by that point, though, and the stickiness of the glue peeled off some of the face up around the eyes.

@shinibun Thank you! Honestly I'm not a big fan of fur wigs either, that one is just an old wig I made like 8 years ago that I had lying around and decided to put on him until I get him anything different.
