Ahh gosh, I wish I could afford Kaylar right now....! I kinda overspent last month though, since I'm starting my Christmas present shopping early. As I type this there's only one normal skin Kaylar left in stock~ I'm really excited to see everyone's Kaylars when they arrive!

On another note, I have sent out my Jelle head to be fixed up after the accident. I'm very glad that I was able to find someone willing to save him!

So I have been thinking... I'd like to put my Kai II head on a skinny male or androgynous body. (The character is from a goblin-type race, and they don't have a binary sex spectrum.) It's currently on a Resinsoul 1/3 male body, and I like the height (shorter than my other 65-70cm boys), but the color isn't great. I've been researching resin matches but it's hard to find ones with the skinny non muscular body type. Does anyone here have suggestions?

I've just ordered the Ethan head in normal skin during this Christmas sale. Now I really wanna put him on a 5star doll adult male body. Anyone knows about the resin match? Would it make a good hybrid?

 

Hello all you beautiful people! I've been lurking around here for a while and admiring all the guys and gals. It's been a dream of mine to own a LitteRebel boy since I first saw them to be honest. But there was always some other doll that I "needed" to bring home first because they had a character I wanted to shell, or I needed to hurry buying because it was a limited or second hand.
I got my Kaylar in tan skin home yesterday and am totally in love! It was probably fate or something and it was this specific sculpt that was meant to come home.
But now I need to find a body for him. I saw someone talking about Iplehouse SID. There was no mention about proportions? The SID neck is thicker so I'm worried it wouldn't work. Is there any darling here who could help me?

 

Yo, I have an Iplehouse SID guy that I can pop my LR Sarang head on to when I get home from work today if that might help?

@Nihmo Okay so I'm home and snapped a few photos and you'll have to excuse the poor lighting and color difference because my Sarang is tan skin and my SID is normal skin but uh...





I'm gonna go ahead and say that it's not a good fit. This little test did, however give me a good laugh. In all seriousness, I couldn't see it working even with extensive modding. The head refuses to hold any position aside from the downward stare of shame, and the body proportions are all kinds of weird.

That being said, I bought my SID in 2011 so his measurements might be a little different from the latest SID measurements since I think Iplehouse has changed the SID bodies since 2011. Sadly, I don't own a newer SID to find out.

 

Thank you so much Zylphia for taking the time to help me out! As disappointed as it might have made me I have to agree I got a bit of a laugh out of it as well. Just like you say I can't see that working even with modding. Darnit!

Hey everyone! It's a little quiet in this new thread so far!

I'm very excited because I've just purchased a Little Rebel Seven hybrid from my friend and he's in transit as we speak. Seven was actually the first LR doll I owned, but at the time I couldn't figure out how I wanted to paint him and I sold him. Getting him back again makes him the first doll I've ever re-purchased, but I'm so glad for the chance. I know it will probably be quite a while until I can give him a face-up (winter and all) but I think this time I'll be able to make him shine and in the meanwhile I just can't wait to start making some clothes for him!

Anybody else have exciting LR projects going on?

 

I'm waiting on a Migidoll body for my Kaylar. I don't want to give him a faceup until I have the body in case I need to do some resin matching. I'm so in love with him! I look forward to seeing your beauty too!

 

I need to stop being lame and send Lucia out for a faceup, especially since her body arrived and it would be awesome to have her all together at last

I wasn't really happy with any wigs I had on hand for my recently acquired Seven, so I made my first brushed yarn wig for him. I'm so happy with how he looks!

I have received DollFamily-H 65 cm 3parts torso body for my Nikita (LR Ethan) after 5 months awaiting)

It fits and matches perfectly! It needs some blushing, glueing and re-stringing, but there are no seams, it poses well and looks very lively and lovely)

 

@Kasia_I - he looks so good. may I ask why you need to glue (joints?) and restring? I bought the DFH jointed hands
for my tan Kaylar head so he can use a normal skin Akagi body with turtleneck and long sleeves. but, was looking at
the 65cm if the hands matched which they do pretty well. I don't really want another big body, but what nice fit!

 

I like when the doll moves tightly and DF tan resin is a little bit slick to move in such a way.
This is just my preference, a kind of process to get aquainted with the doll and get ajusted to him or she: to wash the body, to polish some seams if they are, to make the blushing, ajust the elastic tension, to glue the sockets. Sometimes I make some modifications as carving between fingers =)

*I call it glueing though I use acrylic paints diluent ant matte varnish for it - I like this way more than hotglueing because the glue layer is often thicker*

 

These are some home photos to compare LittleRebel and DollFamily tan. Nikita's head has some blue blushing tints, so it looks a little bit greenish (as the real skin does).

The girl is white Fantasia Barbara on April Story 16 girl body. Her head is rather small, she wears 12 cm eyes with small iris.

 

LR tan is also very very close to Cerberus Project tan. amost exactly the same as my Rho from a few years ago and Sylvia vampire from last year.
neither of those dolls want to give up their bodies for Kaylar. good grief.

He looks like a 16-17 years boy. The chest muscles look a little bit stronger than they should be, but nevertheless, that's not a problem, I think

 

Has anyone put Ethan on the SDF body, not the SDF65? I have a feeling it won't look how I like, but that's the body I have free at the moment so I'm hoping I can make use of it. I have the older type 2 body, but I don't think the proportions are too different between the types. Any help would be much appreciated!

It was light tan skin, afaik. I didn't see a "dark tan" option in the box during the order.

Yes, the jointed hands are the DF-H ones that they put with the body as a gift.
I think, fit and match are perfect like they are made by one brand)

Hi all...does anyone happen to have a female Iplehouse body (a sid or an eid) to test fit a Little Rebel head on? I know the fit for the male bodies is off, but I'm looking at shelling a larger girl and the Iple bodies would be awesome for her if the proportions work out.

 

This is a Luts senior 62cm body (the neck is 10cm, and the shoulders are 12cm), maybe it can help you as a reference for other similar size bodies.

I've got my Jelle on Impldoll's muscular Idol woman body (she wears SID/EID clothes) and I think the proportions look great (the color match would be better too if Impl hadn't gone so heavy with the tangerine blushing on the body, ugh)

 

Hello! I see many hybrids with DF-H tan, but their tan is french resin, isn't it? I look it at the Alice Collection website. I want to ask how quality this resin is?
And does anybody see tan skin comparison with DF-A and Dollzone?

I'm here as well to see about hybrid options aside from Luts (not that I dislike Luts bodies )
I want the lankiest body possible, so DZ and DC are both on my radar right now (also Resinsoul, though I'm not crazy about their aesthetic)

 

I moved my LR André to a Doll Zone B60-005 boy body in normal pink (instead of the 70cm body he was previously on, so that my LR boys would all be on the shorter side) and I think the fit and resin match are great. I'll try to snap a pic tonight.

Hello everyone! I'm usually just a lurker, but now that I've ordered a Kaylar head in tan it's time to take action and find a body for him I've seen quite a few people hybrid their LR heads with the Doll Family H 65cm body, but I was wondering if any of you happen to own a Doll Family A 62cm (preferably version II) body and could show me a picture of a LR head on it? I'm hoping to find a body for my Kaylar that is less than 65cm, available in tan (preferably one close to LR tan), and has a 13-14cm shoulder width. My budget for the moment is currently no more than $350 + shipping so it's a little bit of a struggle. Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help me

Fantasy Doll is who casts LR's heads, so they have a custom LR tan you can request for a perfect match.

I have DollFamily-H 65 cm tan body for Ethan head, it matches almost perfectly. You can search for the photo in LR thread somewhere above

 

I kind of forgot to look into an actual LR thread since I picked up my Kai, or look into posting in this thread for that matter.

Somebody had mentioned being somewhat interested in seeing a LR head on a Resinsoul body, and my Azabien (Kai) is on the slim 70cm RS body (from 2015, in their normal skin):

I feel like the proportions are pretty decent. Overall, it seems that bodies with a 10-10.5cm neck circumference are pretty workable for LR heads.

Also, I'm planning to do an overhaul on Azabien's look, so I'll post some after-process photos of them once I finish their look

 

hello ! does anyone know if LR's tan matches with dream valley's tan color at all, and if there's any photo comparisons? if not what is the experience like having a dyed head? is there anything I should look out for? thank you !
