I'm super excited about the tan options as well. The only thing stopping me from getting a sophia before was that I really don't need another pale doll. ^^;

 

I totally agree with you. At first I thought they labelled the colours wrong. I also checked Santa Dyuke's page, and it says he's in brown skin. But the limited period brown skin looks much lighter than santa Dyuke's colour, it's more like tan. really confusing

 

Yeah I think the new brown skin tone is kinda different with the Santa Dyuke.
I would love to see more comparison photos.
Let's ask LM to take photos of their dolls in all different skin tone. XD

 

I went ahead and ordered sophia in brown. It does look like it's paler and warmer (maybe more like volks sunlight?) while tan is just a bit darker and more olive. You can really see the olive tones in the new limited tiny.

I ordered Sophia in Tan (as mentioned in previous thread)
I guess it is slightly unnerving without many comparison photos. I have admired the sculpt for a while now and couldn't resist her in Tan. I initially thought the Gloomy Miyo was their "Brown" as the event photo makes Tan look much darker to me.

I can't wait to see the results from everyone.

 

This event is giving me some anxiety!! My budget is so tight this month, but I've been itching for a tan girl and I've always loved Little Monica's sculpts. This is such a great opportunity! My other problem is that I can't decide between Sophia and Chloe. I suppose if I can't decide or make this work financially, I'll have another chance when they have this event in the summer.

 

I thought the same thing about Miyo! If you look at the headcap pics at the bottom of the doll pages though, it really doesn't seem like there's more than a shade or two's difference in actual darkness. It's more that the olive undertones of the tan really stand out against the sunny warmth of the brown. If you're game, I'd be happy to do a good shoot featuring my girl's resin tone, and we can compare when they get in.

@overlordu I really should not have spent the money on this girl, so I feel you. >_< I trawled through all the sophia pics on flickr before I finally pulled the trigger on my order.

 

I can't wait to see everyone's tan LM dolls! I don't think I could buy a tan doll from them until I see some owner pics, I want to see what some girls look like with darker skin! Currently I have two dolls on layaway, one of which is a LM Roselyn in white skin so there's no way I can afford a third right now

 

I'm so happy with everyone's order & support for their new skin tones.

Maybe I should get a brown/tan boy too ?

Every time I see some LM doll here I'm stunned because they're so beautiful !! It makes me sad that I have almost no time for my boys
But !! I'm on a good way of saving money for LM Haazel so I hope I will order him soon !

 

Oh she's @Kirarashine here in DoA. I think she's not really active, but here's a photo of my Luts Blanchet & her Roselyn on our doll meet a couple weeks ago. I hope it helps.

just wondering, is little monica normal skin resin as yellow as it looks in their sample pics? im looking for a pale, yellow toned body to match an old elfdoll head i got.

 

@Botflybaby If the sample pic you are looking at is the head cap one, the normal skin in that pic is a lot yellower than in real life. The chest(?) sample pic is more accurate to the actual color.

 

My Roselyn has shipped and is on her way to me! She lands in the US in about seven hours I can't wait to share her here! Hopefully it's only a few more days!

Ah Rain is soo cute! What skin tone is she? She looks slightly grey? xD

 

Hm.. I don't know about 2016 resin, but I have older resin, the newest is from early 2015.
For me, their NS is kinda peachy, but not as peachy as the older Fairyland Feeple line.
Perhaps more~less similar to older Luts after 2011 IMHO.

She is so pretty !! HUGE congrats~~~

@Magical Ghoul Thank you! She's in white skin, and Chloe's faceup has some areas of blue/grey shading in there But the resin in person is the palest pink! It's very subtle but it adds that touch of life to her.

@mo29368 It's a Leekeworld wig in Lavender Rose! I bought it secondhand so I don't know exactly which which wig it is, but it seems the color is available for many of their styles

So I can't remember if I mentioned here (I did in my unboxing thread) but Little Monica had sent me two left heel feet! And the right foot just arrived today They shipped out the replacement part as soon as they had gotten my photo proof, they're amazing! I've only had her for a week but it already feels like longer

 

Does anyone know the average wait time for a head? I'm gonna order a Giselle head in two weeks and I'm already super anxious! Her face is just perfect to be one of my boys! I know I plan on hybriding, I'm still drifting between potential bodies...

 

@NamelessPierrot I'm not sure the average, but look for @mionnaise in the waiting room! I know for sure she had a pretty nice wait time for her Gloomy Sophia head, and then there will likely be other head orders recorded there

 

Coming up on the 9 week mark and I am getting antsy! So hard to be patient when it is so close...I keep stalking Korean sites too just to see the slim chance of any new owners of LM tan dolls yet.

 

Got my shipping notice! If all goes well I should have my Tan Sophia by this Friday. I can't wait to see the resin in person. I have seen 2 owner pics of the brown skin on LM Naver (Korean blog site) but no Tan as of yet.

@Cuteasadoll your girl has inspired me to order a Sophia with the Chloe faceup! I love Sophia's sculpt, but not her default faceup, and also love the Chloe faceup. I seriously had no idea you could swap faceups until you posted your girl!

 

@Kimchi Oh my gosh I can't wait to see how Sophia looks with it!! Have you ordered already or is she just on the wishlist right now? Yes I didn't know you could swap until I looked into what "Other Type Faceup" meant!

 

@Cuteasadoll, once I get my budget updated and taxes filed (i.e. adult things ), I'll be placing my order! I've been doing lots of dolly head and body swapping and a body opened up that I think would be perfect for her. I've loved Sophia since she was an nDoll Aiko (though I'll admit it took me years to figure out that Sophia and Aiko were one and the same ), so I think it's about time I just got her already.

That's always good to hear! Either way, I'm very patient. It'll be a nice change of pace, though, to be able to put a doll together, faceup and all, right after opening the box.

And yeah, Mako typically takes a month to make eyes, but they are like clockwork ime. I've never had to wait more than that 4 week production time.

Hardly wanted to do any sort of box opening focus, but here is a few shots. Also no time or patience to really edit them right now. lol!:

 

Here are some more quick shots of her with face up and wig. Very pleased with her tan. Its got a nice warm color and seems darker than website a bit. I love that it is though!!! Was nervous at doing her faceup but happy it came put well on my first try on her. 3rd Try on BJD 8n general.

 

@Loeki She's FLAWLESS oh my goodness! How is the resin quality? from photos it look's like there's barely any seam lines or marbling!

 

Resin is nice and smooth. However the seam lines are pretty prevalent on her inner calves. I will show later. But I expected this especially with Tan. No Marbling not even in joints area. Very satisfied with my Rosemary. Thanks!
