I too, would like to see WS comparisons. I couldn't resist the Vampire Enrill and I am hoping to get him a pair of DikaDoll jointed hands, I am just not sure of they would match...

I spent Christmas in Florida this year and while looking under some brush I found a tiny snake skeleton that I couldn't help bringing back with me. I think Finny's kind of fascinated by how tiny the bones are.

 

Pen-Pen, I love it too :3 That DH set had so many pieces and accessories, that I can make many looks from it. Only pants are a bit off for Alex, they have a red/green checkered pattern that doesn't really compliment him that amount. but yes, this jacket is the best.

And hey, did you guys notice Little Monica's Fanart competition? The price is a Snow Audrye and you ave untill Jan 24th to apply. Theme theme is to draw something of the new year with your favourite LM doll. So, what is your absolute favourite one?

For me, that would of course be Enrill No suprise there...

And I dunno, I think the checkered part of the jacket brings in the eye. My eyes see that first then travel up his necklace to his face. And man, what a pretty face. (Though you could say I'm a little biased ^_~)

 

Shara - Alexander is a beautiful boy !! I came to admire LM boys a lot ! I can't wait for my own boy to come home. And as Pen-pen pointed it out, is that a SD13 set from DH !? I don't remember it, gorgeous set indeed.


Pen-Pen ~ that is so unique and interesting !!! I am on a skulls & fossils hunt at the moment .. My boy is a vampire Enril so he needs some BLOOD, and dark themed items .. I love your boys rings .. how did you make them =) ?


On other hand, as I am so in love with my boy, I decided to spoil him already so I already got my DH order for them before I even had Shara mention them out.. glad to know they look fantastic on LM boys.

I forgot to ask .. anyone own Enril can tell me if 14mm eyes fit better than 16mm O.O ?
I mean the original OE head ! ?!

 

Its so cool you're getting a gloomy Enrill! I can't wait to see photos!! I *think* Phineas came with 16s but I've opted to go for 14s and I think they work fine. There are no gaps in the ones I got from Alice's Collection and I even think he could go down to 12s if the sclara was big enough.

I actually didn't make them. They were part of this weird woven necklace thing I bought at a Gem show and we never used the necklaces so I pulled them apart and found out they were just the right size for rings.(^ω^)

 

Seconding Pen-Pen, can't wait to see photos of your Vampire Enrill, Chocoang3l! And yeah, Alex's outfit is a SD13 outfit from Dollheart. This Theodore set in fact. I hope your DH items fit your Enrill well, I didn't have much trouble with my set, only I think that the sleeves on the blouse were a little short for my liking. They do reach the wrist, but I like the sleeves to be longer, for that slightly oversized look. The same with the pants, they reach the ankles, but I'd have liked them to be just a tad longer.

Pen-Pen, I do like the checkered fabric on the coat. Like you said, it makes a great detail. But those pants... It's all that same fabric and is a bit too much for me I'd hope DH would sell their stuff separately, I'd so nab a few more coats for Alex! And other miscallanious items... I'm just too chicken to go for those fukubukuros, since I wouldn't know what I'd be getting and fear I'd get something I would have need for...

Is Phinny all casual-wear? Or would you put him in stuff like DH's? Anyway, he looks as good as ever

And on the subject of eyes for Enrill. I have 16mm in Alex, but he came with 14mm acrylics, since those are the default size for Enrill at LM's site. He couldn't wear 16mm high domes, since his eyes are so squinty, but the ED eyes I have for him are low dome enough. The main reason I wanted 16mm for him is because my Volksies use 18-20mm eyes and I wanted as little a difference compared to them as possible.

 

*nodnod* High domes a just a complete no Unfortunately I've only got 18 high dome so besides some lucky jellies and his default green nothing else fits him. Which is just fine for me since I never change his eyes anyway.

I can totally see how the pants can be just a little too much. I bet that coat would look great with a pair of really nice black slacks though. The only thing I can really see Finny in is the Joshua Set and even that would be super dress up. He's the type of guy that wears his shoes until they fall apart and holey ripped up jeans XD I've just been too chicken to try and distress some pants for him and I don't know where to look to find already made ones.

I did just finish a pair of boxers though from some scrap I had from trying to make Booker a coat thing. I don't think he appreciates how hard that fabric is to work with. XD

 

Thank you Pen-Pen . He will be my first SD boy too! I am newly coming in to SD size, so I am very excited to get him and see how I will like him ^_^. Well I saw that Enril the vampire got 16mm eyes inside him, I already got his eyes together with him but I am a bit not certain if I would love those eyes for him .. Also he is only a mystic boy, so I got his original head too which I am planning to give a more matching style of face up n___n ..

I hope I did well when I picked a 16mm pair for his OE head and 14mm for his vampire head ><;; ..
Well if it is a wrong mix , then I will be sad as I got urethane eyes made for him each is $45 :/

That is cool about his rings! I am trying to find some metal jewelry parts flexible enough to be turn in to rings!

Shara , I feel for you as I prefer the sleeves and pants to be a bit on tall side, the ankle and wrist length is counted short lol !
I think the set you chose for your boy is so gorgeous I went for a more dark gloomy one as he is a vampire, and in pale white skin .. so I am glad my Fukubukuro bags came to my liking! I couldn't believe when I opened them and saw nothing but usable outfits. Ok some of the things are soon to be listed for sale, shoes and some other things are not his style, but love all the accessories too !

Well I always say get the random bags that worth $150 items then if it doesn't work sell the ones you don't like.
My first try this time but it is working =) ..

I am getting urethane so they are low dome I guess ^^;; .. They are done by an artist so I am not sure how to tell low dome or not. I will check oscar eyes as I wish to own some of their eyes too.

Oh my Enrill is SO spoiled, I already want to find a wig for him, kinda regret not ordering the original wig as I was thinking, I might want a darker wig for him :/ .. not sure anymore .. now I wish I got the white wig he came with ..

 

At least the really good thing with urethane is the sellability. I don't think you'd be out at all if you wanted to sell them to buy another pair.

Yeah-I was so surprised when they fit him since I'd wanted *some* kind of accessory for him and I found out by accident they fit another doll and by luck they ended up fitting Finnny too. And everyone who sees that wig likes it! XD I got it for Riley (my Lishe) but Finny had no wig when he got here so he stole hers and kinda kept it. Its a For My Doll wig that was initially a disappointment since the red is kind of thin on top and at the right angle with a flash you can see straight through to the wig cap. Thankfully its only shone through from the top and I hardly ever take a shot from there.

You guys are giving me a terrible fever to get a Little Monica boy for my Sophia. I'd love to get some feedback on the boys. I think my favourites are Enrill and Renonne, though Vienni has just made me look at Crow with the eye too, but have you got any other suggestions for me? How do you find the LM boy bodies? Are they ok posers? Has anyone got photos of an LM girl and boy next to each other?

Chocoang3l- I LOVE Crobi wigs. Absolutely love them! They're so nice and stiff with out *feeling* stiff that there's so little styling to have a really good wig. And I have to say, besides the weird fault my wig has, I've seen and felt other FMD wigs and they're amazing. They feel really good to the touch and I know with mine, at least, I hardly have to do anything to get it to look good.

Blanketqueen- omg omg omg Renonne! Better yet get both heads and one body! XD I did a review of the body on another thread that I can find for you once I on my computer. I'm not overly fond of Finny's elbows but I really like everything else. I so cannot wait until I can start saving for my Renonne so it would be so cool to see other people get him too. :3 And I love his new boxers XD He's been lounging in them ever since I made them last night. ^_^;;;

Its definitely more pink than yellow. And I know that with at least Finny, the color lightened *considerably* from what he was in just like 3 months? The bigger hands I have no longer match his body because they were kept in my closet and he's out in my room all the time with the ambient light.

 

Liley, I actually just took a resin comparison with Volks resin which is very creamy: http://flic.kr/p/j9MwDs LM is definitely paler and pinker than Volks. And this is LM girl hand from February 2013 on a Volks 2012 resin.

And for Blankqueen, I've got a comparison of a LM boy next to a LM 'girl' http://flic.kr/p/j9LC4B. It's Demetri on a girl body. I took his shoes off so that you can see the actual height difference. And your Sophia is so lovely, she definitely needs a boyfriend! *enabling* For heads, I'd vote for Enrill *coughbiasedcough* . Although seeing another Renonne would be cool too! Or a Crow! I'm actually thinking of maybe selling one of my other SDs so that if LM ever releases another tan boy, I'll be able to snag it. Fingers crossed for a tan Crow actually

Sure can! The photo is gonna be a little fuzzy because it was part of a picture of Taelan and recently I've been trying to get his hands to match again so he's been wearing them more and they're not as pink as they were before, but this was from the first photo shoot I took with them because they look better with Taelan than Finny because he's got a bigger head. You might have to tilt your screen back a little bit to really see the color difference because I was trying to get it to match at the time. I have no idea why I didn't do a comparison when they we fresh from my closet. :/



I know it looks like the arm is darker but it really wasn't; if anything, just pretend that the colors are switched and that's what the hand looked like instead. If you want I can take a photo of what they look like now since there's still a very slight discrepancy in color.

 

I do think the biggest reason I like Crow... is... his nose & smile ? >.<

Vienni, OMG that nose! I love my Enrill's pointy nose but that thing is just the most gorgeous windbreaker. Now I really would like to have a Crow of my own... An elf or a tan version, please. Or better yet, both in one package

Blankqueen &#8211; Wow, Sophia is just so graceful. I personally love Enrill, but I think that I am biased as well. I have a A-type body on another doll, and I do love it aesthetically &#8211; very manly for a SD13 size. The posing is OK, but I do not need much for that particular character. With the Vampire Enrill I am bringing home, I went with the B-type for the extra joint. I hear this body is great at slouching and that is what I need for the character. Plus, I can see by Pen-Pen&#8217;s pics, the body is very lovely.

Vienni &#8211; Gosh, Crow is just so cute. And I do love the nose as well. And I second Shara &#8211; Enrill&#8217;s nose is the best.

Lileychristie &#8211; Congrats in your Giselle. I do have a question for layaway since this is my first one with LM. Do they send you an invoice when payment is due? Or do you just have to remember when to make you payments?

 

I can do it tomorrow since I'm waiting to go to work atm. I can't wait to see what they look like since I wanna buy Finny some jointed hands too. I really hope they work! I love Finny's body actually and he slumps wonderfully! (Which is a big thing for me with his character)

I have Alex on the two-part torso B-type body and he slouches fine for me. I just loved the sculpting of the pelvic bones on that body, although he never dresses to show them All in all, I love the engineering on this body. Except for the elbows, which we have ranted about previously as well...

Liley, I also want to see how the jointed hands look on your Giselle. I'm hoping to find some hands for my dolls as well.

My poor Sylvie (Roselyn) has never matched her body - it's an older white skin Luts SDF girl body that's yellowed significantly, and her head is LM white. So today I took pastels and a brush to her to even things out a bit. Not a perfect match, but much better.

 

I can't wait either! I forgot to take photos yesterday but I can take some tomorrow since I've got the day off.

And seriously! Your Roselyn is gorgeous!!! That blushing job is awesome!

Ah man, looking at all this lovely spam makes me want to get my boy home faster. I am going to email LM to see when the production for Vampire Enrill will be complete. AS soon as he is ready, I am going to pay off my layaway. I want to get him home ASAP. In the meantime, I am on the hunt for the perfect, long, white wig. I am not sure if I should go with fiber, or fur with an fiber extension.

 

I did. I bent his arm so his elbow kind of popped out then wrapped two tiny rubber bands around his arm to keep it in that position then just shot from a different angle so I wouldn't have to edit it out. Works like a charm. He's actually wearing Booker's eyes at the moment cause I wanted to see what he'd look like with jellies in. They're from Alice's Collection actually if you're looking for a similar pair.

And I agree! Rose is beautiful! That dress is really pretty!

 

Rubber bands indeed are a cheap way to gain more poseability Nice work, Pen-Pen, since I really couldn't tell from the photo.

And thanks guys for the lovely words I love posting photos of my darling boys in this thread. They have so much gorgeous company here! And I really don't see as many LM dolls anywhere else than here on DoA.

I must confess, I went to see LM's site today, to see if what doll might pick at me next. I love so many of them, but currently my top choises are Crow, Dyuke, Chloe and Giselle. Sigh, I'm not getting along with one of my other SD's anyway and we'll see which option first comes available as a substitute. And I'd really, really want a tan doll.
