Love it! You have been waiting far too long. Iple is hands down my fave company (6 of my 8 dolls are Iples) but their customer service and some of their business practices are pretty lacklustre. Usually they are one of the fastest companies (none of this 18 months wait rubbish). Now is the time they want to retain loyalty from supporters. I'm fairly sure when you do receive your doll you will be in awe...just like the rest of us Iple addicts. : )
I think I just came at the right time, when they finally realised that EMS is no way recovering very soon. And relying on the small company with no facilities, when their parcels will be on the low priority while haulage giants are sorting their own cargo will bring their business down. UPS shipment is about 110, so I have to pay the difference, about 50$ or so. Now, the other important step is to make them notice that I have paid and press them unto shipping it soon. Lord, why I have to work even in my hobby!
Hopefully it will be just as you say. As of now I am too pissed of to feel any joy. That's my luck/fate, I always come (into hobby, company, person's life, etc.) when change is required and I have to say those unpopular words or do a lot of 'housekeeping' job to make that change happen . I have an impossible dream of helping as many businesses to have a perfect client service as possible, i am a dreamer)))
@Lotte Rotten I'm waiting on a nSID Camilla ordered in March. @Lelm That is so dodgy on their part about the wig and it is unfair that they are unwilling to add the other items you want to buy to an order that hasn't even shipped yet. @Dunpeald Thank you for making them realise that waiting for the EMS shipping to get back to normal will lose them business. I've only waited 3 months so far, but next month I will be contacting them about my order and my shipping options.
Unexpectedly, it says status Shipping! Now any good Australians here, please, tell me how to track it and how long it usually takes to get stuff shipped to our 'little island'? Should I expect any customs fees, taxes, any other attempts of government to earn easy money?
@Kaname Kimura Oh Camilla is a beautiful sculpt- I do hope she will make it home to you soon without any problems. @Dunpeald Did you already pay the difference in shipping to Iplehouse? Please will you keep us updated on how your situation goes? *fingers crossed for you*
I have paid immediately yesterday so they won't have a chance to reconsider)) Status has changed to shipped just an hour or so ago. As it is my first doll, how the shipment can be tracked, do you know?
@Lotte Rotten Thank you and I hope so too. @Dunpeald I've never had to pay customs or any others fees on incoming dolls.
@Dunpeald Oh Congrats- your doll has shipped?!! It's my first time ordering from Iplehouse, but normally the company will email/update the ordering page with a tracking number.
Awesome, thank you. I have heard so many scary stories about huge import taxes, so felt a bit insecure.
Yes, I have checked in the early afternoon and it was the same boring payment accepted, just now it has changed to shipped. Received no email from them. I have found some sort of code on MyIple page in Order details but it doesn't work anywhere. Will have to do the impossible and just wait.
@Dunpeald I'm a complete newbie when it comes to Iplehouse, so I don't know how they handle things with updates on shipped parcels/tracking numbers. But if your order details don't update with a tracking number within 24 hours, I would contact them and ask them to let you know the tracking number for the parcel.
I'm in the US, but they normally give a tracking code that works with EMS and the US Post and a site that should also have a link on your order page near said tracking number. However that is again when shipping to the USA and with EMS. Sometimes it takes a day to update tracking. My last few orders that have shipped took about two weeks each to get through every customs hoop. Before the plague it use to take 4 to 6 days from green on shipping to here.
log into iple got to "my iple"... then click on your order #... tht is your order sheet. Down near the bottom find 'this 105485466_10157382888390976_810816671308058319_o by J L, on Flickr copy and paste the tracking #, click the link above it.... paste the # into the space, hit enter and use that until it enters your local system.
Yup, thank you I have done it, but too soon and system was a bit : 'Slow down your horses, woman'. But it worked later. Should I expect two weeks for delivery? It is two time expensive delivery though...
For me it's been an ave of about two weeks with there normal priority mail costs through them/EMS and that use to be like 4 to 6 days, but last few orders was like two weeks each order, as ever step in customs on the way to the USA held them extra long. I do not know what the ave wait time to down under use to be or is now, but I would say anywhere from a few days to a few week in the mail. Given shipping's either slow going or slowly returning to normal all over right now. I hope you have a shorter travel time for your doll though. ^_^
Under 'normal' circumstances I get my Iples within 5-6 days give or take (Im in WA so a few extra days required as they fly through indonesia to Melbs usually), You can track that EMS number @Lady Tiku showed you via AUSPost or EMS Site, I find the EMS has more details. At the moment I would expect delays. If you can steel yourself for a two week wait and hope for one you'll be covered.
Thank you! Will try to be patient. (and make a unicorn coloured dreadlocks wig for her or something equally silly, i just can't sit still).
I love this idea for a wig! If it comes to fruition, I definitely wanna' see pictures! In other news, I must be experiencing some sort of Iple-itis or crisis of some sort, because I just put another FID on layaway. Gentle Tedros now joins Rex and Stella in the production wing! I was told late October he should be done. We shall see!
I ordered FID Aaliyah yesterday! I hope by the time she's ready to ship they are caught up some, so sad to see all these delays.
Glad to see some good news for a change. Best of luck to everyone who has been waiting so long! I'd hate to see any additional problems crop up for you after all this.
Ohhh, that Gentle Tedros! I wanted him as well, but must lick my wounds first)) I have posted one in tutorials, but DoA is not co-operating with me when I post images(( Working on men's pointe shoes now, will do the wig after that, colour therapy is a good thing))
Do y'all usually get a confirmation email from iplehouse when you place an order? I got the confirmation page and saved it but I did not get an email.
@skyealloway - I think everyone used to, but in the past months there seems to be an issue where some of us aren't getting any emails from them at all anymore. I've also had a similar problem with another service, that required me to switch to a different provider, so I recently asked IH to change my email over to that one as well. I don't know yet if that will fix the problem.
Well, I've finished all my layaway payments on my boy! Now the real waiting game begins I only have one, blank JID in my order so I'm hoping it won't take too long but judging by everyone else's posts in here.... well I won't get my hopes up lol. I ordered him the first week of May and was hoping to see him around August but I guess maybe I should start thinking about October or November now? I don't know, it's my first Iplehouse doll and I've been lucky in other doll purchases to not wait too long so this is all new to me
@kaboomkim - Under normal circumstances, Iplehouse has been one of the faster companies, but yeah, I'm afraid none of us really know what to expect right now. Hopefully the fact that they've finally admitted the need for another shipping option means they won't keep letting people wait so long... You're waiting on an Owen, I see. Do you have any particular plans for him?
Looks like me and Iple House just don't belong together))) Yesterday's status was : Ready for customs clearance - INCHEON HUB Today's status: 00:17 28-Jun-2020 Unsuccessful delivery It hasn't even left Korea. So how? Anyone knows?
This is complete conjecture on my part, but maybe it was turned away at the border due either to lack of flights or lack of space on flights? This has happened to a number of rush-shipped orders for my work.
that's right, it didn't, it actually couldn't as the Incheon is in Korea and the 'Ready to clearance' status was on 21:00 27-Jun-2020. It could not teleport itself it 3 hours to Sydney, pass customs here, got picked up and delivered to my suburb. Might be something with ether Iple House mai#king mistake in filling the postage documents, or UPS having issues with their cargo on Korean customs, or Korean customs officer disliking that parcel and turning it back. Might be. Though it got stuck before custom clearance. So I assume, that might be a paperwork, or customs are overloaded and it is not allowed to store parcels there. No idea. I think it is a sign that my birthday present this year will not be an Iple house doll as it was planned.
My best guess is that they don’t want to store valuable/expensive packages in a place where the might be damaged, so there just isn’t space at the moment with the backlog. It might be harder depending on location, because of the number of direct flights being significantly lower. Even domestically, wait times for stock for us has doubled, if not tripled. this all sucks a bunch, and I get that me coming up with theories might/might not be helpful, I also have a doll stuck in South Korea (shipping to Canada) and it’s stressful. Hopefully they find a way to get your doll to ship.
It's too bad that so many people are still having such difficulties with shipping, particularly those in Australia. I'm in Canada and I have an update on my FID Aaliyah ordered February 5th, along with some clothing items. I had given up checking the Iplehouse website since early June, just to keep from going crazy. I finally checked today and to my surprise it says "delivered" for my order. Well, obviously it hasn't been delivered or I'd have it, but there was an EMS tracking number. Tracking says that it was mailed on June 12th and sat at the airport in Korea until June 26th. It arrived in Vancouver early this morning. Now that it's in Canada I should get it within a few days (I'm in Manitoba). I have heard nothing at all from Iplehouse since I placed my order. I hope that others who've been waiting over 4 months will get their dolls soon, too.
EMS delivery statuses are mad. Either it is something with translation or they have save money on a proper texts when were developing their software. Postal services in Australia is, probably, the worse I had experience with so far. I usually send/ receive tonnes of prints, cards and little souvenirs to/from my friends and participate in Prints Exchanges and every third item is lost. Good that your FID is on your land! You have some awesome patience, I usually ask if something going wrong.
Ah, I see. Makes me wish I had been able to afford more dolls before all the covid stuff But as you said, hopefully, they are on the right track with getting another shipping option. It has to be hard for any business now to admit their shortcomings for fear of losing future business. And yes, Owen will be my boy! I really wanted an MSD boy with a more mature body & face sculpt. I like my boys to be masculine & chiseled and I find that kind of look hard to come by in the MSD size sometimes I have a wig and eyes for him already and he'll be the first doll I attempt to put tattoos on so I'm trying to design some now for a sleeve and chest design, maybe more
Status updated to delivered on my parcel, but it is still in SK and Australian side knows nothing about this parcel. IP said the re-delivery is scheduled. To where, I wonder... IH staff hasn't understood my email as the answer was clearly not related to what I wrote.
I love the idea of tattoos on dolls - art on art as it were. ^_^ Good luck and feel free to share pics when he's home and ready!
My Caleb just changed to shipping, just him and then my Noel boys and I'm out of here until I save a bit for a SID girl I've been eyeing. (not that many of us ever leave for long.)
My EID Lawrence order from January 11th finally arrived! I'm so glad I went for the glow normal skin, it's subtle but very gorgeous. Wish his FID version had it
I just ordered my first doll- Teno- from Alice Collections about a week ago... now I really wonder how long it might take to get him I was thinking I was ready for a ~6+- month wait, but I’m already so impatient! Good luck to everyone waiting on shipping and such!
No news from my side. Still Undelivered on EMS tracker. Iplehouse confirmed that parcel is still in Korea and changed the status to Delivered on their website. Seriously don't know if there is any logic or thinking process behind their actions. Funny thing, IH said I should pay for UPS delivery, and gave me the tracking number, but UPS cannot find the parcel number in their system. Might it be something to do with how it works in SK? Anyone had any experience with that?
My delays are now In Asian airports and US airports. Somehow things spend time in the midwest or western NY even when they are landing in NYC and I'm on the east coast. Occasionally, weird stuff has happened to my packages. As far as UPS, did you talk to a real person? I only have one UPS experience. But my DHL shipping number changed once it was given to USPS. And my UPS order was given to USPS as well without a new number. No brown truck delivery I was looking for. So, there might have been a change in the original shipping number. You'll need a human being to find out.
@Bexalex - No worries - you're not the first person to confuse them. I've even seen people write "Implehouse" sometimes. @Dunpeald - Iplehouse automatically changes your status to "delivered" after a few days so they can go ahead and award your points, so it's not unusual for that to happen before the package actually arrives. Out of curiosity, what site are you using for tracking? Sometimes I get different info from Track-Trace than from the company site (before it gets to my country anyway).
@Sianserais Oh, that might explain why it is stated Delivered! Odd process, but well... IH webpage crashed, so I cannot get to the link. I use the EMS tracking they give on the order page and AusPost, they can track anything moving towards AU, actually they see my parcel in Malaysia, though it is still in Kuala Lampur, because my AU address registered in the system. But no signs of IH parcel on their tracking system. Will have a look at your link, thank you!
@Sianserais Tried Track-Trace with UPS, EMS USPS and, just out of curiosity, with the rest of the companies - nothing, as if parcel does not exist((
Okay, just wondered. Very odd that it appeared in the system and then vanished. I'd be tempted to ask Iplehouse to confirm that the tracking number is correct (if they haven't already), and then maybe call your local UPS office and ask if they can figure it out?
It appears only on the tracking link from the IH website order page. That number never worked on UPS or AusPost tracking system. That's why I doubted they have actually sent it with UPS (or sent at all). IH said that they are sure they have sent the right parcel to the right country, but it is still in Korea and the re-delivery is scheduled (this part is a bit confusing, but I think they mean delivery to their Logistics Hub in Incheon). Looks like I will need to contact UPS, like you have said.
@Dunpeald I'm so sorry to hear all the trouble with the shipping of your doll! I don't pop in often here in the Iplehouse waiting room (makes me too frustrated because of the situation with my own Iple doll being stuck)- but I wanted to check up on you to see if you had received your doll yet... and now this, with the tracking number not working *fingers crossed that your doll will make it home to you soon*
Thank you!!! You are very kind! I can understand how frustrating it can be. I check DoA as often as I check IH tracking, and my mood recently has been so dark that my partner took me to the cat cafe Will hope, though being hopeful is a tiring activity...
@Dunpeald What a great partner you have to take you to a cat cafe to cheer you up- being around animals is definitely a good way to lift ones mood!^^ I have decided to try and 'forget' all about my Iple doll that's been stuck in their office since early April. I did ask Iple a while back if they could ship by a different method, and was told they could ship UPS but it would cost me an extra $74 (too expensive for me to afford right now). I feel the BJD hobby should make one happy- NOT stressed out- so it sucks so much when things go wrong like this. I do hope the parcel with your doll will start to show up on tracking sites SOON- I know this is your first doll, that must make the whole situation so much more frustrating- do keep us updated on how it goes :3
Dolls' Fellows, should I not come back here in future, IH gave the right number, but it gives an outdated information on parcel, and they refused to give me the UPS tracking number. So my partner stepped in and tried to research it a bit further, even called Korea Post several times (neither of us knows Korean, but everything is an experience). So, eventually, to get an alternative parcel number he went to : :::EMS 프리미엄::: it kicked him to Tracking | UPS - United States and there was a new parcel number that UPS and other tracking companies recognized. It actually gave more detailed and updated information on parcel's whereabouts. IH link still says Undelivered. When I went to UPS track directly - it didn't work , but when you go to UPS through EMS Premium, it suddenly gives you a right number that works! So just in case the tracking link from the IH gives you headache, try other ways in addition to the one that Sianserais kindly shared. I am confused beyond words and don't see any logic, but who said there should always be one. Well, here are my little IH adventures P.S.oh, make sure the pop-up windows are not blocked on your computer or that link won't work!
@Dunpeald - Wow, what a mess. Fingers crossed UPS actually knows what they're doing, even if we don't! And thanks for the update - we're probably all going to be wondering about this package until it gets safely home to you!
Yes. Just like me with DHL (and a different doll company) the shipping companies can pass off a package from one service to another and change the number. It's possible IH wouldn't know the changed number because it was EMS' decision.
Sorry for stirring the forum. One of my bosses called me a lab test, as when i join any project I accidentally reveal all that's been under rug swept Just one purchase and a range of issues for IH to work on revealed. like that will make them think, though... Well, that new link says my doll is in Botany, that's Sydney, so being hopeful. The major purpose of that post was to share 'best practice')))
