Iplehouse Waiting Room v35

Feb 3, 2020

    1. @deredereyanyan I would wait till July when they have their summer event sale.

    2. Love your avatar-doll, by the way. ^_^ Yeah, well, I do wonder if new safety rules have slowed down production some, but we do know they're still shipping out to some countries.
Out of curiosity, are you keeping Jessica on the EID body? The HID is a better poser, if it matters.

    3. I'm kinda trying to height-match so probably EID
My 70cm granado is "tallish adult man" and this would be his ~26 year old adoptive daughter

    4. also @quake probably good idea

    5. Yay! I'm joining you guys in here! I just put a FID Muscle Rex and FID Athletic Stella on layaway! I may pay them off much earlier than the plan I have set up, but wanted the option to not. They're telling me that they should be done by October or November at the latest. I'm hoping that the pandemic still isn't plaguing us and EMS at that point. Wishful thinking? Probably. Lol.

    6. Gotcha. Just thought I'd put that out there in case you didn't know. ^_^

    7. My EID Lawrence order from early January finally shipped! :D
Let's hope he'll arrive here without much drama.

I'm curious to see the glow normal skin. I wanted him to look very realistic when painted, so I thought the glow might be the better option.

    8. My EID Dylan arrived today. Trying to decide if I keep his default faceup or send him out for a new one.

      • x 1
    9. I'm curious as to why you'd want to give him a new face. Was it a custom? (I've had a custom face up that came back from Iple not quite what I was expecting)
Or is the actual face that much different from the website pics? I have a Dylan coming (hopefully soon) with face option-B and am hoping it actually looks like the pictures.

    10. That was a worry of mine, too! I browsed Instagram for people that got Rex and Stella to see if anyone else got the same face I opted for. It was my way of seeing how similar they were to the product images. They seemed pretty on par for the most part.

    11. I also got the option B face-up but on normal skin, so his lips look orangey-brown in color. The brows and eyes are stunning but the lips are a turn-off.

    12. Here is a quick close-up of NS EID Dylan With face-up B option.

    13. I really love the work by Iples artists but I agree: the lips aren't doing it for me. Unfortunately I've noticed that on many of the male dolls they end up having weird colored zombie lips. It's to the point where I will have them do custom lips based on female dolls (with "natural" lip colors) just to get them looking more "human".
My Dylan should be exactly like yours (same skin color and makeup option). I'm just a little bummed now, but I'm sure I'll warm up to him......I hope :atremblin

    14. Hmm. I know at least sometimes they've adjusted the colors of default faceups to better match the skintone, but given how dark this option was, I guess they assumed you wanted to keep it dramatic. (It doesn't look that bad in your photo, though.) Could you maybe alter it a bit with an overcoat of pastel or something?

    15. Yeah, it's a tough one. His eyes and brows are lovely, but the lips are just...wrong. Zombie lips is a good way of putting it. I really hoped they would adjust it to the skintone but that's not the case.

I'm afraid if I try that it will appear as if he's wearing lipstick, which is not what I was going for. :(

    16. Well, Thanks for posting a picture! I have sent Iple a note asking that if my doll hasn't had his face done yet, that I would like to change it to a custom makeup order, giving him lips like Bichun EID option-A. We'll see if its too late or not :doh

    17. Glad to help, hopefully it will save you from the same issue. He's still pretty though.

    18. @cyranstar - He is gorgeous...but if you are unhappy with his lips...maybe you could lightly remove some of the coloring with a Mr Super Clear eraser...getting past the MSC layer and onto the painted layer...and then lightly apply some pastel to alter what color is left. then use a color pencil for some definition and then just seal the lips with the clear gloss or matt sealer you put on the lips. (Tamiya gloss)

    19. Three months down waiting for my Camilla, her outfit from sartoriaJ has arrived and I can't wait to see her wear it~

    20. I'm so happy: Iple replied to my request to change Dylan's lips from the default option-B lips to Bichun option-A. Apparently his lips hadn't been done yet so they were able to change my order with a very small fee. Yipee!!

    21. I am joining the iplehouse bandwagon ordered my dolls since march and one of those is an EID Bichun can't wait to get him

He is one of those dolls that I fell in love since 2016

    22. Congrats! Welcome to the waiting room! I’m super tempted by the EID size, but am going to start relatively smaller with FID.

    23. Oh thank you I'm more on SD side of things.. FID is great too

    24. Well, my Aaliyah EID has finally caught a flight! She sat at the post office from May 28 to June 17. She's on her way to Anchorage, Alaska. Now I have to wait for her to make her way to Ontario.

    25. I'm happy to hear that some packages are getting movement again! That bodes very well for all of us! I just hope that the pandemic doesn't rear it's ugly head again too soon and cause everything to shut down again, ugh. My dolls aren't supposed to be coming my way until October or November. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm hoping for nothing but the best!

    26. There is a bad resurgence in Beijing right now. But South Korea and EMS are moving for sure. Hope the Beijing virus doesn't spread again in Asia.

    27. Congratulations @Ryishe! I hope that your Aaliyah reaches you soon. Mind if I ask when you ordered her? I ordered a FID Aaliyah on February 2nd, so I hope that she'll be shipping soon now that EMS seems to be delivering to Canada again.

    28. I ordered her on January 11th.

    29. oh! What makeup did you request?

    30. I ordered Face up B, without the freckles. She's peach gold skin, so I'm hoping she looks good.

    31. She will look awesome!
In March, I ordered a doll choice Aaliyah. SID original small bust body SRS and I requested Aria "B" type makeup, change lip color to Bibiane "A" type, and add freckles, and add moles like on HID Bella "B" type. I wrote to Iple 2 days ago asking for a status update, they told me she'll ship early August. So from March to August, 5 month wait. (sigh) :sorry

    32. hope it's not much more than that and you get your Aaliyah soon...does the doll choice take longer?

    33. Iplehouse has me back on the forum because I just put in my order and I'm so excited.

I'm waiting on an FID Tedros (maybe my favorite sculpt, though it's a tight race), and I'm told I can expect him to ship late October, so that's giving me time to prepare some stuff for him.

This is the first time I'm ordering a doll with a faceup instead of doing my own painting.

    34. They told me the same when I placed my order for FID Rex and FID Stella at the beginning of the month! They also said if there are any delays with the pandemic, it could also be November. I'm really hoping for October! I just want my dolls home with me!

    35. Yeah, I hope the delays aren't too bad, but then I understand they're to be expected during the pandemic... my sister had ordered from another company and she'd begun her layaway a while back but because she paid her doll off at the start of when we went into lockdown here, she had more of a wait than normal... Fingers crossed for both of us! (Rex and Stella are both such gorgeous sculpts as well!)

    36. Are there any waiting room folks here from New Zealand? I was determined to just sit and be patient and wait but it's hard to find anything out about EMS shipping to NZ and I know it wasn't available at all before.

I ordered an HID girl back in January. I don't want to ask Iplehouse questions as I know they will be busy but just curious if anyone here knows. I should just forget about my order and spend time working on a wardrobe for her ;)

    37. My EID Dylan I ordered early January just shipped late last week...he's not out of Korea yet...waiting for a flight, I guess. :)

"We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece."

      • x 1
    38. Ahhh so its not just shipping that is holding things up. I will be patient ;) I am certain she will be worth the wait. Hope your Dylan arrives soon!

    39. a friend orderd from Satoria and her parcel spent almost two weeks 'processing' before getting a flight, so it looks like international mail is "really" slow right now...

    40. Yeah, I've been anxiously tracking a parcel sent to a friend overseas and it's been sat in one center for a week now. So I guess that's where it's going to fly out from and first it's got to quarantine?

    41. I think it's less about 'quarentine'. and more about how all levels of mail processing now take longer due to social distancing rules which may mean less workers per x amount of space so less hands doing the work AND internatinal flights have yet to return to the former volume they once were. Flights from Korea to YVR which is where my my orders enter Canada from used to fly out no stops 'once per day' and at high season twice. and things went so fast in mail processing and to getting on/off planes... I could order late sunday for me, first thing for Korea monday and have my order by wednesday/thursday. If it was a doll just change ordered to 'changed to shipping'. There just are not as many ppl and planes doing the hands on work now because we can't cram ppl in work spaces anymore.

    42. Ah, that's a good point.

    43. I'm not in NZ @LyanneNZ, but I can tell you that EMS is now shipping from Korea to Manitoba, Canada and 3 weeks ago they weren't. It seems like more flights are being added all the time, both international and domestic, so that's good news for those of us waiting for packages.

    44. That's encouraging news @Hmac58 thank you! :)

    45. Airlines carry a lot of our mail (my husband works for one in the ground crew). Airline flights have been drastically cut (worldwide); for example, where he works is not a hub but had 20 flights a day. They are down to 5. All this to say, packages and mail are moving a lot slower, waiting for their turn on the planes. Fewer planes, fewer workers = longer wait times.

I hope everyone's parcel makes it on a flight soon and safely wings their way home.

    46. I am so angry at Iple House, they are seriously too stuck on their own comfort and totally unable to react on crisis adequately. Loads of other bjd companies found the ways to deliver, even if with delays. All I get from IH are the 'whatever, kind of sorry' lazy emails.
It is more comfortable to wait until a small EMS will scratch out some places on other companies' cargo crafts by the end of the year, sure, it is much cheaper. And however bad they will behave towards clients, there always will be orders, so I do understand why they ignore a small group of customers living in the countries EMS cannot deliver. They just don't care.
Next week it will be a 7th month of wait.

    47. Doll choice does not take any longer.

    48. Hi Lyanne!

I placed a order in March, I'm still waiting, they told me she'll ship early August.
If they are currently issuing dolls at a 5 month wait, yours should be coming soon ;)
It doesn't hurt to ask though.

      • x 1
    49. @Dunpeald Did you get another 'we can't send to Australia' message?
Their behaviour towards some of their customers is really disappointing.
Iplehouse is my favourite company and it just makes me sad.

      • x 1
    50. Yes, that and there is nothing we can do about so we are sorry, but no shipment will be made. I am just so at the end of my rope. I am starting volunteering, so will have neither time, nor money. And have no other dolls, this was meant to be my first(((

    51. @Dunpeald Was this Iplehouse order going to be your very first BJD? : ( I'm so sorry that your first BJD purchase is this troublesome. I placed my order back in Dec- at this point I have lost all interest in the doll, wish I could just cancel my order- but unfortunately, that's not possible unless I want to lose 30% of the price of the doll (since doll is made, just stuck in the Iplehouse office)...

      • x 1
    52. That is very frustrating indeed. I wish IH could behave like they care about clients and the word professional means something to them, but looks like it is not in their culture.

      • x 1
    53. @Dunpeald I am so sorry that your first bjd is taken so long. It is really frustrating that they are treating some of us this way.

@Lotte Rotten It sucks that you have had to wait that long with no end in sight. May I ask which doll you are waiting on?

    54. My friend! There is hope!
Look what my last polite, but angry letter brought:
'Due to the high cost of shipping using other shipping methods, we've been waiting for the expectation that EMS shipping will resume, but we can provide a different method for those who have waited too long.'
So there is an option for the doll to be sent by UPS, but with additional shipment payment.
Please do ask them if that is possible for you as well?

    55. @Dunpeald Thank you for finding that out!
They really need to make a news post about this, so people can make that choice to go for the different shipping option.

      • x 2
    56. Hun, you should have seen my email to them, that had prompted this offer. Very polite, but so vicious, I had to remember my times in PR to write something like that.
They should have some sort of database, so that they could collect all orders to a certain date that's been not shipped, send an email offering another delivery option, and move on with those who agreed. To EMS they can report it as an emergency action to maintain good services and fair business. I think they might have a penalty for using other suppliers, if they have an exclusive relationships with EMS.
But, that's why God gave them legal and marketing professionals!

      • x 1
    57. @Dunpeald Ehhhh?!! I remember someone else had asked them if it was possible to use another shipping method- and Iplehouse said No back then- but now they say that they can ship by different company?? I guess what they really needed was a 'polite but angry' email from you!! My gosh, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired... :vein
Will you let us know what other shipping method they will offer you and for how much more $$??

@Kaname Kimura Thank you- I'm waiting for a nyid Nancy... but this whole mess with shipping problems have left me with no excitement left for my Iplehouse girl... :( What doll are you waiting for?

    58. My FID Dane has been waiting to ship since the end of April. Iple told me that he was all packed up and ready to go, so they wouldn't add the outfit and shoes I asked them to. Then just last week they emailed me to say -oh the wig colour you ordered is sold out...I wrote back and said: "Welllll, you told me my order was already packed and ready to ship, so if that was true, how can that wig be sold out??" They offered to swap the wig which they appear to have done, but didn't add the extra accessories I asked for. They offered to send my doll via EMS premium (AUD$100) er no. Underwhelmed.

    59. I'm Aus so pretty much the same part of the world : ) PS happy to see your "boutique" albums are up on Flickr again. Youre' very talented!
