My Isabel's status has changed to shipping! Woo hoo!

The tracking number appears to have an extra digit (sigh....), but that's OK. I'll just wait.

I did notice when I was doing comparison photos of my HID, EID, and nSID dolls that HID/EID dolls have the same size hands, but nSID is a tad bit smaller. All the feet are the same size, though. Interesting...

Hi- I was wondering if anyone in the waiting room would know this readily;
I read that ordering ebony skin was only available at the beginning of each month and I wanted to know if this was still the case? I thought I heard some talk about them limiting resins even further and they've seemed to totally removed it as an option on their Choice system listing, so I wanted some insight...

 

Someone else would probably know better, but I believe they only offer ebony in special promotions now? Doll choice is limited to the 1st of the month through the 15th, not necessarily ebony skin, I believe. I could be wrong though, Iples policies are so confusing now haha

 

Iplehouse is becoming a victim of its own success. BJDs don't "scale" - it doesn't get cheaper, the more you make. If anything, it's more expensive, and it takes longer.
Iplehouse is choosing to slash options, rather than increase prices.

Here's my hot take - I wish they would increase prices instead. They have reduced the types of items you can buy (no more hand rings, no Luna in any size but FID, no hand or body blushing, eliminating resin color options), they aren't restocking inventory (good luck trying to buy 12 mm eyes on their site ), and they don't appear to be interested in innovating (I would love a CREAA SID, or an nHID body). Plus, their wait times have increased a LOT (over 4 months for my Isabel, versus 2 months for Aaliyah).

I mean - their dolls are already middle-to-high in the BJD price range. Would adding $50-$75 per doll really make that much of a difference? I would certainly be willing to pay a little more, if it meant faster turnaround times, bringing back discontinued services/items/sculpts, and more innovation.

My Fid Zenon with faceup that I ordered in December shipped already and should be at my home this week!
I'm honestly very surprised, based on the waiting room I expected at least another month.
Plus I also ordered from SartoriaJ the same day, but just some resin parts and clothes not a full doll, and that order was barely delivered last week. I never expected the two orders to arrive so close together

(I didn't get an email notification, I logged in today and saw it was shipped)

Well!!! I’m back here again hahaha I just ordered my EID Vampire Count Baron! I’m so excited; I wanted him before but at the time I missed his selling period…imagine my surprise at seeing him in stock this week so I decided to take the plunge lol! I can’t wait to add him to my collection!

 

How exciting. I love V Count Baron. Did you get both face ups from the promo? or a Custom one? Just curious.

 

Right?! I ordered the vampire head only, I felt like the non-vamp Baron reminds me too much of my Iple Dylan (in my profile pic) but I did take advantage of the event and got an extra EID ‘Ron’ head! I usually do every faceup myself; so no faceups for either!

 

You are lucky that you can do your face up. I got another EID Vamp Baron on the works and he's finally shipping. He took 6 months and 2 days to get him with face ups. I"m a little nervous because my last Baron face up was too light so I gave it another chance and hope he will be okay.

Now my 1st V Baron isn't a vamp, but a werewolf. Here is my Velkan in RS. I loved when they did him in Fantasy version. ( I did not do the face up, his previous owner did.)



I really love Baron, both in FID and HID size. I have since my first one they did as HID Zeus. My guy turned out to be Ares.. That one is lt brown. When Iple use to do that color with LE. Now you got to go with DC to get lt brown which is my favorite color.


ps. I like your avatar pic, he doesn't look like a Dylan, and yeah, more like Baron. I hadn't noticed that before. Dylan to me has slumbering eyes, which Byron does not. Interesting.


pss. OOOH a Ron, I have been tempted to get a Ron as well before.

 

oh my gosh!!! He is STUNNING!! and a werewolf! That’s such an amazing idea; he looks so cool!
I love the sleepy/sultry look of Dylan but Barron has a more intense and handsome look…what a beautiful sculpt; they almost could be like brother sculpts or something but they have completely different vibes you’re right!

Ron was almost one of my first Iplehouse BJD but I scrapped the idea so I’m so happy to pick him up (at least in floating head form ) I’m not sure what look I will go for with him but I bet I have some time to plan hahaha

 

Thank you. I love my Vamps,, but this time, I saw V Baron as something different. And werewolf suited him so well.
This last order has been the longest I've had Iple take in sending one. Ususall 2-3 months use to be their norm.

I have seen one Ron owner pic, so will be nice to see another.

Your collection/characters are beautiful!! I want to see more! How long have you been waiting for your order if you don’t mind me asking?! I remember when I first ordered from Iple during the pandemic after a hiatus from the hobby; it took a few months even though they were blank (understandably). But then my smaller SID Lilly (posted below ) took maybe 1 month not even!
I hope it’s not too long of a wait for either of us!

***Although I definitely need to move some dolls around to make some space!

 

Thank you so much. Your Lilly is just lovely. So sweet. I like the color of her hair. I find white wigs to be hard to find with the right color. No I don't mind you asking. I placed my order on Oct 4 of last year. And he shipped yesterday. So a bit longer than their usual 2-3 months that have been their norm. But Iple did tell me it was going to be a long wait because of the face ups.

I feel like I have hogged the waiting room long enough Just happy to see another person who likes V. Baron as much as I do. I know The fantasy heads are not always eveybody cup of tea.

 

After years of lurking, I placed my order on a light tan Aurora on the old SID woman body today. She's blank, so based on this thread I'm expecting a wait time of around 3 months. I hope they remember her clothes, because our customs just loves the after-shipment of missing products.

Now I just hope I like the skintone and it's not dark enough to make my faceup sealant temperamental! I read that Iple has changed LB over the years, and even after an extensive research I'm not exactly certain what's what, lol.

 

I"m happy to say that My Barons have arrived. And their face ups are just fine.

@vauhtikatti, Yes. Lt Brown has changed thru out the years, at least from Last year, (I haven't bought any lt brown this year) the lt brown they were then calling was more like the older non-french resin formula. Their last lt brown change that occurred in 2016, they renamed it to the Dark Brown when they went back to the previous color around Oct of 2018, (I believe). So now they have two brown colors you can chose from. Lt Brown is my favorite Iple color. Too bad they aren't doing it in the LE now, only thru Doll Choice.

So if you got a Lt brown, it will be lighter than the Dark Brown. It's the more darker Color like Ebony that may present more problems with sealant. I haven't had any problems so far, (keeping fingers crossed) with the many LT Brown doll's I've bought.

 

I order Mari!! I’m putting her on a larger body after seeing a few successful hybrids on Iplehouse’ EID and HID. My other doll isn’t even here yet but I couldn’t help myself!

 

I don't know about anyone else, but I am having such a hard time waiting this go around! haha I'm used to 6 month + waits, in fact the shortest wait I ever had was ironically Dollshe back in 2017, at 5 months.
But for some reason waiting for my Doria and Lawrence, who I ordered at the very beginning of march, (so its barely been 2 months) is killing me

Hi! I decided to go with JID boy. But I am not sure about what iris size I should get...! Does anyone have eyes with iris size 4mm to 6mm on JID? Preferably on Edwin ? My son and I chose JID Edwin to be my mini-son

 

I believe the lovely folks in the JID discussion board would be able to give you a better answer, my best guess is a smaller iris will give a more realistic look since my SID girl took normal iris 12mm eyes just fine.

I'm half annoyed, half excited, as I arrived after a lovely day out today to a missed package notice on the door, from Iplehouse. I check my order every day and it still says preparing for delivery, so it was quite the surprise! Now I can't wait for Monday haha

 

JID boys are quite different. For example, I prefer 6mm iris size for Kyle and 5mm for Daniel. Edwin is closer to Daniel in the eye situation imo

 

Received my EID Lawrence and SID Doria today! Yall weren't kidding on how cheap the boxes have become, ill have to show a side by side of my 2015 box versus these.

Both sculpts are beautiful! And even though I knew how big EID boys were intellectually damn, they are big!

Do the boxes lack foam padding like that one Creaa box earlier in the thread, or just otherwise cheaper and less sturdy?

There are still foam inserts thankfully, but the boxes are extremely thin and are already dented and a little misshapen upon arrival. My old SID box is double walled and very sturdy.

 

Giselle's box tore at a corner so I fixed it with duct tape, it's sad to know that they've gotten worse.

 

To be fair its been 8 years since I ordered my last Iplehouse doll, so it may not be new, just new to me haha

 

Oh my gosh my Vampire Baron w an extra Ron head just switched to shipping!!! Now I wait for him/them to arrive! Next up is my Mari although I assume she will take a little longer!

So something quirky happened with my order. I received a notice from customs that I had to pick a parcel up, and by all accounts it appeared to be from Iple. But when I messaged Iple about my order (which was still marked as in production), they said the doll wasn't done yet.

I've picked up the parcel today, and turns out it IS my new Iplehouse doll. Not sure what happened to the communication among their staff, but I've informed them to change the status of my order to delivered (which is a first, to say the least). Approx 2 months production time for a PG Doll Choice HID female, that's also surprising!

 

My EID vampire Baron arrived today!!!! Such a shock and my Mari also shipped today! That’s extremely fast…just a little over a month for both dolls!!

I was worried about the packaging tbh but I don’t think it’s changed much, inserts still there and everything on my side.

Also, I wonder if Iplehouse changed their resin again lately? My “normal skin” guy is veryyy pink. Whereas my ‘older’ (2 years) doll is slightly paler and a bit more warmer toned (on the yellowish side in comparison!). The difference is actually night and day I’ll try to take a comparison soon.

 

Congrats on receiving your orders! I received my dolls 2 weeks ago and my order on Iple's website still says in production

 

Years ago I received a NS Vamp Claude that was very pinkish looking that I was shocked. The poor guy never got over it .lol. Seriously, I was not expecting that. The next one I got in NS was the more normal color. It was a Vamp Dane. So it seems every once in a while they get that pinkish co!or. Not sure why.

This time around I went with RS for my vamp Baron heads and I guess if I hadn't, I might have gotten another pinkish vamp cause I was debating between NS and RS. Yous is the only other I have heard of now.

Anyone else taking advantage of the 2-head HID sale? I’m definitely looking forward to bringing a HID gal back into my life! It’s hard to settle on a head tho—I know one of them has to be Carina to reshell the character, but the other head I keep debating between Rania, Raffine and Scarlet.

 

Oh boy, my Aurora order might be coming soon then, seeing as they're pacing up.

I hope customs will notify me about the parcel though if Iple won't provide me a tracking. Sometimes customs take weeks to send the little paper reminder, and the parcel is already sent back before the "your parcel is available for clearance" slip reaches my mailbox. I usually declare parcels electronically with the tracking code before they even reach my country physically. Sometimes my postal app automatically adds random parcels headed to my address with my name, but if there's any spelling errors with the name, the app won't add it either.

 

Ahhh whew okay so it’s not only me lol; I thought my girl had yellowed tremendously. It’s like a completely different tone! I love the difference though! I have an HID Baron coming as well and I’m hoping to switch between vamp and human Baron…hopefully he is pinkish as well haha I want him taller! I just finished Alistair my vampire! :

Aurora has shipped! Didn't get any mail, but order status changed to "shipping" and my Posti app picked up the parcel's tracking automatically. So, it ended up being 2 months 2 days wait for a Light Brown blank doll.

 

Sorry for the double post, but Aurora is here! She came as a home delivery which practically NEVER happens here, so she was a day early. I don't have time to play with her before next week, but I did a quick box opening and everything was like it should be. The LB resin is really lovely. I have a sense I'm going to enjoy painting her.

Did anyone take their summer sale?? I was ready to wait until winter sale but I couldn't pass this surprise sale and ordered JID Edwin since my son was also pushing me to just get a doll to shell Mini Him (He is so excited JID has visible packs on abs. LOL) Edwin is my second Iplehouse doll after boy BID Ellia.

 

Nah, I was too poor from buying from Impldoll. I am trying to be good and brave and save up more money.

They are really good with shipping. I have Eid Doria and Fid Stella Vamp and they both had flawless shipping and really good shipping times... Only a few months.
