I ended up splurging on a lb Wendy with her vampire head and an additional Isabel head. It is exciting to see they opened the addiction range again
My first doll was an Aria with default face up and she is very special to me since I started swewing to make her more clothes. I really love that girl.
Asking fellow IH users with SID men, for an update recommendation of clothes that fit that body - if there's any other company other than Iple lol. because that body is thick but I want more styling looks for my man other than what's available through Iple. Ty
I've had some success with clothes off Alice's Collections labelled for 70cm dolls. Pants and sleeves are a little long, but for the most part it fits their chunky body pretty well. Stretchy fabrics are also great.
This is my Iplehouse Asa head heavily modified. The body is Dollshe 26F Classic Maxi. The neck circumference is a perfect fit if your interested in hybrids. Introducing Grey Moon Diamond (Steven Universe OC): Spoiler: pic 2
Is the Iplehouse.com (US) site down for everyone? I've checked back the last 2 days and it doesn't load. Do the other language/region links work?
It only showed a blank page for me most of the day yesterday, but was back up last night. I tried this morning (wanted to check available hand options), and it was down. It's also down for me right now. Though I'm in the US, and definitely not who you asked. Down for Everyone or Just Me is also showing the main site as down.
Trying it from Canada, on a safari mobile browser, the English website took about 30 seconds to load (could be my wifi) but navigates normally, and is up to date. Have you tried a different device/a different browser, or clearing your cache/cookies and retrying? edit: I checked it about an hour ago and it worked. Tried it again? Nothing. Won’t load on safari on my phone or edge on my work computer. Edit to my edit: iplehouse.com gives me a blank page. When I click on links to my history on iple’s site, for instance the SID basic page, it goes through, and I can use the site.
Thanks, Chameleon! Looking at the link for the SID Basic page, that is the mobile version of the site which loads for me no problem on my desktop and phone. But the Iplehouse.com default desktop site doesn't. I wonder if it's in my cookies.
Here’s another oddity: I still can’t get through to iplehouse.com to the page where you choose a language, but when I google iplehouse bjd, and click the link to the English desktop site, it works fine (still on mobile safari on my phone)
I also can't access the site! I'm on desktop and firefox, if that means anything. Downforeveryoneorjustme says the site is down at this exact moment.
Ok so my S.O. is in IT and some science was done and we have found something out on this... if you go to https://www.iplehouse.com/ the site is broken/down, but if you got to IPLEHOUSE - ENGLISH (Written here with a spaces to show diff https :// iple house.com/home/? page_no=en_index) it's up and works normal. It's the diff of the www. in the site name. My S.O. says that means there is a missing redirect file. I hope this info helps.
The Iplehouse website is still working for me down in Australia. Have the site issues been cleared up?
Looks like Iplehouse got their issue with the main page solved! I also managed to get my Iple siblings together in their adult forms and took a photo (is clicky link if pic is broken!): From L-R: Iplehouse Storm, Luna, and Giorgio Faceups on Storm and Luna are by Angel Toast, and the Giorgio's is the Iple B Type.
@luluna , @MrFjmg2003 , & @Quiet and Insane : Thank you! They were surprisingly cooperative when trying to stand them together. (I think refreshing the hot glue sueding in their ankles helped )
Popping in~ I'll add pictures when I take them but. Many years ago I bought an EID Akando and an SID Eva (with the circus makeup). I sold them because they were impossible to dress and their joints annoyed me. Skip forward to 2020 and I have a Caleb (sid) and JID Tania. Caleb is awesome, I got the model body because it has the better ankles. I wanted the beefcake body for the character but being able to pose was more important. He also fits better in most clothes. ALMOST fits in his old SD13(? Early senior self) size shirts. Bottoms are a hard no due to that leg length. JID girly is on the old body. Modified (drilled holes in her torso) to pose okay. Ankles were weak. So I swapped her onto a Myou new type 2 body in normal yellow. It's not a match since my Tania is ancient (like ten years now?) but the posing is great and the body looks great in almost all her old clothes. Almost as some I tailored for her and yeah. Gotta re-fix them. I bought a 2nd hand YID Mari from 2022 and she fits my old SID Eva's clothing great. Haven't had much luck finding her heels or shoes yet but she came with a couple pairs fortunately. Still crap ankles, but I'll deal with that because she's just beautiful. Before I got my Mari, I impulse bid on the nYid Ray over on iples auction page and promptly panicked after realizing what shipping would be. Not wanting the hit on my auction profile I sucked it up and paid for him. I have no idea what to do with him now I cannot find a wig I like on him, and his eyes are impossibly hooded so getting anything to show up there is not my strong suit. Good news is his ankles are amazing and even floppy and straight out of the box he can stand? Anyone got ideas on what I should do with him? ETA: depression shopping is. DANGEROUS
Panic buying or not, Ray was already made and had been waiting for a while for an owner. You picked him because you either were looking for something or you connected with him in some way. Give yourself time to reflect on some of the reasons why and you'll be stronger. Maybe he inspired you, or you thought you can make him shine. Everything can't be fixed in a week. I suggest taking some photos of him, for yourself. Then taking some more, if you are thinking of asking for advice or opinions. I understand the difference of buyer's remorse because "I made a stupid or ill informed decision" and "this doll did not look like what I dreamt about". I have an OT-mjd which the seller didn't inform me was damaged and I can't forgive that seller (sell was on another website, btw). The other doll, Maria, I had problems with her out of the box when she shouldn't of had any problems. She needed a few changes and I tried to sell her. I did not want surprise projects, my first year, you know. The problems with both of those dolls were fickle. But, in my head, Maria was something worth saving. I said "oh no, I'm not sure" once I got photos of her. But, once I received her opened the box, my brain went, "I think she needs...". So, maybe the memory of you opening the box, versus what you think of him now, might help. I also had a weird thing that while Maria was next to me, I had to be actively trying to save her. That is another reason for taking the photos. You probably know if you've been thinking "Is he worth trying to save?" versus "Forget it". Do your personal photos tell you, I saw something worth buying?
That is such wonderful advice I think a big ooft was both Mari and Ray arrived the same day (funny but unfortunate), so the one I really wanted (a pretty SD girl) took all of my enthusiasm. Still, do you have any suggestions for styling a dark brown skinned doll? I've tried the one black wig I have on him, on, but it doesn't suit. Maybe I can get my hands on some mohair, but what color eyes? All of my other dolls are characters I've had for 15+ years and bought with that shelling intention. I'm not creative enough in this regard Still, I should give him his own time. Thank you!! I do want to fix him up. There's been beautiful dark skinned dolls with gold blushing floating around and as I just finished arcane in a little in love with some of the tattoos and styling in that.
@MrFjmg2003 - What a great photo! Love that sweater @Hellsing365 - some time and experimentation might help! I have a few darker toned dolls, but only a few right now in the range of Iple's current light and dark browns. I have an Akando in 2010's light brown, and I originally had him with black hair and equally dark eyes. I'm going to be experimenting with changing him into a silver fox once I get him put back together. I have a non-Iple doll with darker resin that I gave royal blue hair and gold eyes. It's by far one of my favorite combos. I have another non-Iple doll that I gave orange hair and brown eyes. And the doll in my avatar is somewhere between Iple Real Skin and Light Brown, I have a very light gray/white wig on her. Definitely try to have fun with it!
I love that you do this I do the same thing, too. It's been so long since I posted in one of these topics. Everyone has some nice dolls and some nice thoughts about their larger Iplehouse dolls Here's a recent one of my beloved SID Eva, which is also a clicky link!
Happy New Year! My Mari arrived on December 31, and I've already got her booked for a faceup and am working on some clothing for her. On the same day, I also received my order of hand options. There are few options for YID girls, but thankfully the SID woman hands fit nicely enough. Here's my Bliss trying one of them out: Flickr
Congrats on your new Mari! I hope her faceup turns out even more beautiful than you hoped for And that's a great photo of Bliss. I was actually thinking about different hands on body sculpts recently. That SID hand looks great on your YID Bliss.
Hi! Newbie here. It's so interesting to hear that Sartoria J, Raccoon Doll, and Iple House are related because these are the main brands I'm eyeing for that mature realistic sculpt! I've placed SID Vampire Countess Wendy into my cart but I'm still on the fence about her. I see other dolls on Iple House that are serving the "goth queen" aesthetic that I see in their promo photos, but the inclusion of the outfit or option to purchase the doll with the outfit don't seem to be there... So my question is, were the dolls in their promo pictures used to come with the outfits and are currently discontinued or sold out? Or were they never sold to begin with?
If you're looking at the ones in the limited edition categories, then the outfits were offered as part of the original release. Rarely, a limited outfit is offered again when IH rereleases some LE dolls, or as an extra option when you buy a doll through Doll Choice, but that seems to only happen if the original stock didn't sell out. The outfits seen in the basic categories were usually sold separately, but many of them are no longer available. Sadly, IH doesn't seem to be releasing much new in recent years, since multiple artists moved on.
Ah, I see. I figured it was something like that.. And as beautiful as Countess Wendy is, I'm sure that money would better go towards my holy grail doll. USD price tag is not cheap. Thanks for answering my question!
@sageyufi - You're welcome! The one suggestion I can make is to keep an eye on Sartoria J (whom I've long suspected was the designer for IH's outfits, but have never asked them to confirm it), because they do release new outfits on a fairly regular basis. Once you get Marketplace access, you could try putting up a want-to-buy thread if there's a specific outfit you really want too. Good luck finding what you want!
Congratulations @Quirked on Mari's arrival. The hand option looks great in this shot of Bliss...fun to use the different hands!
As for eyes for the dark brown skin tones, try light brown, dark brown, green, gold, or very light blue eyes. Here is my dark brown EID Carina, and my light brown EID Lahela-
My Panchita is home (iplehouse Zera). I’m so happy with her. The face up is gorgeous and I love her dark brown color so much. This is the link of the box opening./threads/panchita-la-mexicana-iplehouse-zera.885348/ Panchita La Mexicana
I finally pierced her ears and gave her the gold hoop earrings. I didn’t do a good job and the earrings look crooked but I’m okay with it lol
Your girls are beautiful Susie and congrats on your incoming Zera @MrFjmg2003 she is lovely. I love the plaited wig on her Just leaving a photo by way of a contribution...Bella got some new eyes (Becky Art Studio on Etsy). Bella has smaller, rounder eye wells and I had nothing available that suited. Iplehouse Bella by LyanneNZ, on Flickr
The wig on carina is a monique "snooky" and on lahela, from a etsy seller in Russia about 4 years ago. thanks! Lovely Zera! That makeup is fierce. Bella...............oh how I love thee (sigh) So beautiful.
OT but thought I would poke my head in to say I would dearly love some new clothes from Iple. I haven't liked most of the new designs for the past couple of years and its just the same stuff. They have the ability to really wow with their talent but I feel like it's been so lacking. Most of my dolls are Iples (3 SD girls and two FID, a KID and two BIDs) and they're just the best.
I don't know what I would dress my dolls in if I didn't sew. I know what you mean and have just looked again. Their dolls are "fashion dolls" to me and they have body shapes (and foot shapes) that don't necessarily fit other lines' clothing (and shoes.) Iplehouse are still my favourites too but I am sad that there is not much new activity on their site. I don't think it would take much - even with existing sculpts just offering new face ups and wigs and an outfit here and there to bring new excitement. They have beautiful dolls and sculpts.
Am I going to regret posting this? Probably. Am I going to do it anyways? Yup. Iplehouse makes beautiful face sculpts. I still believe that they make some of the best face sculpts in the industry. BUT. It really feels like they are resting on their laurels. Fairyland just updated their Feeple65 body with the newest pre-order, and they made the "kill heel" feet for both the Feeple65 and the Minifee. I have the Minifee heel feet, and I love them. Many, many other companies are updating their bodies, releasing new face sculpts, and Iplehouse just... isn't. There are maybe one or two face sculpts I'm thinking I would like eventually, but I don't feel that "gotta have it!" feeling when looking at their website now. I've been collecting for five years, and I can tell you a lot of things they discontinued. Can't think of much they've done that's new. And maybe they don't feel they need to. They still regularly get orders (judging by the Q and A section of their website). But it still makes me sad. No innovation, no new outfits, just... the same stuff. I'm worried that they are going to stop selling clothing entirely, judging by the 30% off sale that feels like it's been going for at least half a year now.
I think they soft stopped selling clothing already. Except for two FID outfits, when was the last time they had anything new? They dropped some new old stock about a year ago, it seems they may have did a run of shoes about the same time (which might've also just been new old stock), and that's it. They did redesign the JID and SID female bodies not that long ago, so I don't know if they're resting entirely on their laurels, but I still see what you mean. The JID redesign would only be relevant to me in terms of practical clothing fitment reasons, and I don't like the newer SID body as much as the previous one. I really love the slightly thicker proportions of the previous SID body. I think the previous SID body is far more attractive and endearing. The lack of new face sculpts and clothes is a bit concerning with regards to Iplehouse going forward as an ongoing concern. I used to love checking out their website on the regular and seeing what beautiful new clothes I could get for my beloved dolls. It's nice they've got activity on their Q&A section, but I wonder how long that will last. I probably wouldn't bother with "kill heel" feet from Iplehouse. Maybe if they released a lot of shoes to justify it, but even then. I actually love, love, love my Dollmore Model Doll's high heel feet, which are higher than Iplehouse's feet, but her shoe collection is pretty much exclusively from Dollmore. I can't really just use any other shoes from any other companies, but that's not so bad because Dollmore has a wide variety of shoes for the feet. Can we as consumers believe that there will be a good selection of hypothetical higher heel shoes to go with hypothetical higher heel feet from Iplehouse?
Is anyone planning to order the red dahlia Mari nYID? I'd like the red Carmine outfit. Have messaged Iple to see if they will sell it to me separate. Would this be a split order? Has anyone done one of those before?
Totally fair point. I don't remember when they updated the JID body, and I think the nSID was... 2017? Judging by the unhappy commenter at the bottom, anyway. I recently got the new Impldoll 1/3 body and took a shot with the nYID body to compare the respective peach gold resins, and... yeah. One of them is showing their age. Impldoll Vilma x Iplehouse Mari Granted, if I want updated face sculpts, bodies, or beautiful outfits, I could buy Raccoondoll or SartoriaJ (two artists who left Iplehouse to start their own studios). And I'm so happy for both companies, because they make beautiful dolls! But I gots the nostalgia feelz. I wish Iplehouse would bring on someone to work on the bodies a bit...
Gosh, was the nSID that long ago? I guess I'm living in my own world, since I got my SID Eva in 2014. She's become my dolly world, and new developments be gosh darned It's funny, we were talking about the updated body at the doll meet last weekend, and none of us were talking about it as if it was that old I've been rather fortunate with resin, I guess. I'm partially colorblind, but people do compliment my dolls on how well their resin has held up. I stick with the most normal color, though. I guess that helps some. I've certainly admired Raccoondoll and SartoriaJ. Especially the latter. I haven't dabbled in getting clothes from them yet, but I hear they're a very good fit for Iplehouse dolls. They're so beautiful, too. I wish Iplehouse well in general. Most of my BJD collection is Iplehouse. They filled the niche for me that Volks wasn't filling with the sheer unavailability of SD16 for the longest time. I cherish all of my Iplehouse ladies and girls so much in their own unique ways They really mean a lot to me. I took my Eva to New York City last weekend. I love her so much
If I recall correctly, the people who made clothing for Iplehouse back in the day are the same people who split off to become Freedom Teller. Or they always were Freedom Teller and split off to sell from their own site. Something like that. When Iplehouse first came into existence in... I want to say 2005, they seemed to carry mostly furniture for BJDs. Then they started distributing Freedom Teller clothing. Then they designed Be Yearn and Soo Ri and it's been a wild ride ever since.
I do miss Iple's creativity and new offerings. It feels like the most productive and creative workers have moved on to other companies. I'm glad they are still around....it feels strange not to have ordered from them in a while.
If you don't plan on ordering a doll (or if you did recently) ask that they add that outfit to your current order, and ask for a PayPal invoice. If you want to buy the outfit by its self no other items, just ask them to add it to your cart, it will probably be a "custom order" that will appear in your cart. They have been pretty good at granting request about the outfits. You just have to ask
I've been an "Iple fan" since late 2012 and I think their best collection was the "Carved Heritage" series. I never saw SO many different sculpts, and outfits during that time. I am wiser now, and wish I would have bought several of those outfits as my taste now has gravitated toward more "fancy" outfits. So, thank you SartoriaJ for picking up Iple's slack in that dept.
