      @Vetochka

SHe is beautiful. Great picture and scene.

    2. Guys, I'm planing to buy a pair of joint hands for my EID Bibiane, But I don't know which company have matching color with IP normal skin. :( Is there any recommendation?

    3. @Vetochka
She is lifelike and beautiful, amazing shot!

    4. @snowle21 I don't know about resin matching, but in case it is helpful, I feel that Resin Soul's 1/3 boy jointed hands are a great match size wise, and function fantasticly. Plus they are only $38 a pair. I'm personally finding it pretty easy to blush to match heads to body resin, so maybe it's an option for you? In fact, I have a pair for my light tan Grace. I should try and get a picture for you later today if you like. They are very gender neutral and rather pretty.

    5. Hi! Does anyone here happen to have an Aurora that is more tanned than peach gold? If Iple opens some nice Christmas event, I am planning to order myself a HID body and a head with it, but I'd like a darker tone for once, preferably special real. I only found two Auroras with special real and tan skins and they look good, but I'd love to see more! I'm planning to paint her so that she has black thick eyebrows, and she'll be a 1890s style country lady. So... I have a vision, but I'm not sure if it'll work as I have seen her differently so far.

    6. @vauhtikatti This may be the one you've seen, but if you look at the FID version, there is a boho light? brown version of her when you scroll down.

    7. @Mahgiep Yup, it came up in Google, and the two owner dolls on IG. I'm just eager to see more owner faceups to see if my kind of style fits her.

    8. Ah as I suspected!

    9. @GreenTeaSlug Thanks for linking that Dean post! :3nodding: I really like his eye shape. The face mask really brings the focus to his eyes. I am looking forward to seeing owner pictures of him!

    10. @snowle21 Im not sure if this will help you, but this is what I used for my nSID Woman
      HI!!! Welcome to sadol^^

The resin match was perfect to Iplehouse normal, and the size and fit was good too! Im not sure how it will fit EID woman, but if you see SID/nYID hands on EID woman and you like that, you will probably like this too. I would post a picture, but I sold a couple of my Iple's to get fast cash for a doll that I didnt think would last long on the market.

@vauhtikatti on Flickr, there is an Aurora in LB who is very beautiful, owned and photographed by DramaDoll1.
I think Aurora is one of those sculpts that looks great in every skintone

    11. I put my head in here to say if you are thinking of getting an NYID head on the new SID body, it works! There is plenty of room inside the head for the SID neck, and you will be able to move the head around just fine. This is Rosemary, a NYID Vera on the new SID body, small bust. I'm so happy with her and if I hadn't seen someone's Harace here on the new SID body I would never have thought of trying it out, so thank you!

    13. I have a real skin resin Aurora in the FID size, here is a link to a photo, since she is OT I will not post the photo to the thread. I had one of the SID Elf Aurora dolls and thought she was really pretty, but like her in the tan resin better.

    14. Dear @maro

Thank you so much for being so considerate and thoughtful of your customers. It shows incredible responsibility as a company and I really can admire Iplehouse for that.

I agree with many of my fellow enthusiasts here about some of the suggestions made in this thread:

      1. Making heads and bodies available for purchase separately: head sculpts appear to be in especially high demand. As some full dolls can be quite large and expensive, purchasing multiple of them is less likely. Previous buyers interested in a new sculpt but may not have the available space or funds to justify the purchase of another full doll.

      2. Limited edition sculpts / fullsets: limiting availability may increase demand, as customers could potentially be prioritizing other promotions.

      3. Collaborating with international dealers: will increase accessibility internationally as well as help with increased marketing.

      4. Promotional Styling: Certain styles are currently very popular such as street fashion, kpop, and fantasy (including fantasy parts such as horns or animal ears). As Iplehouse offers body sculpts with unique proportions, finding well-fitting clothes can be difficult and discourage costumers so limited fullsets could be popular. Many fans also recommend Iplehouse whenever there is an interest for culturally diverse sculpts. I think this is another strength you can emphasize.

      5. Layaway options: increasing payment options, especially for layaway will increase accessibility for those who prefer to pay in increments.

      6. Increasing audience engagement over social media: community outreach and marketing will foster consumer interest. Increasing audience interaction over social media such as Instagram, facebook and providing personal feedback to fans will help to develop a trusting, supportive relationship between the company and consumers. Some chose to do this by featuring fan works or holding photo / makeup contests. More people may be likely to recommend Iplehouse as a company that has a good relationship with its customers.

Thank you for taking the time reach out to us and for reading all of our suggestions! I hope they are helpful. I wish to see interest and success for Iplehouse increase as this company is very beloved within the hobby.

    15. Thousand thanks for everyone showing some Aurora beauty! You are right, world deserves more tan Auroras. @GreenTeaSlug the face-up on the girl you linked is very close to something I'd like to make work (dark brows and eyes and peachy rose tone lips), and on her I think it looks just like it's meant to be. I'm more than certain I will be getting her in special real or light brown now wow.

Also, depending on whether they make tan skins available on basic dolls during holidays ('cause I am not going for doll choice just to get an EID basic doll), I think I might want to order my first light brown tone doll. I have to admit, I have been a bit scared of buying a tan doll as my customizing style has always been freckles, a lot of reddish tones and reddish hair, and I'd need to completely change it. But I'm ready now. I'd love one of the EID sculpts with Middle Eastern dark features and bright green eyes.

    16. That's so nice of you. I've never touched a Resin Soul bjd before. I had change to touch more than 16 brands of BJD at an offline before but none of them bring the feel of IP resin. Even the color is unique for a basic skin! I consider blushing the joint hand, but they will crack up so fast.
@GreenTeaSlug What a beautiful pair of hand! But the price is beautiful too :))

    17. I just discovered the nYID girl body is a dream to sew dresses for, as it has such a narrow waistline. I haven't sewn before (I think one pair of doll panties and a robe lol), but I came across some lovely autumn fabrics and just made up a simple "pattern" for a sweater consisting of 4 squares and skirt consisting of 2 squares plus ribbons, and I did fine tuning along the way if I needed to. Here's my lady in her new basic dress that I might fine tune more later: (I think it would be cool if the sweater had a v-neck lined with the ribbon showing on the left plus some pearl embroidery, but it's also cool as is.)

Now unfortunately I don't have an Iple head for this body but she is a Phoenix Doll hybrid, so I won't likely be showing her around here much, but just thought I'd show some nYID girl body appreciation.

    18. vauhtikatti that is such a gorgeous outfit! It looks very professional!

    19. Wow I love the dress, so lovely, such a cute color for autumn. Maybe some cute straw hat with vintage shoes and a mini bag will be very cute?
      Thing like this?

    20. @fishcake @snowle21 Thank you! I actually have two stunning hats with paper flowers made by EvaWorkshopBJD on Etsy, but I've been thinking to get some more as my girl collection is growing. I think I should browse Etsy for straw hats too. I have some scrap leather pieces I got from shoe industry, and I thought I could make a bag out of those, or even an old suitcase with a suitable cardboard box.

    21. OMG that sound so cute! I cant wait to see the final result <3

    22. @Vetochka - Oh my goodness, she's gorgeous. So very life-like! :D

    23. Hey guys!

After 4 years being on and off of this website, I finally learned how to post a thread! (I think)

My question is regarding my Iplehouse EID Luo, that I got off here recently. Do only 9-10 wigs work on that size? I’ve seen so many beautiful 8-9 inch wigs and I don’t want want to risk it not fitting. This is such a newb question but I just started collecting, any answers would be appreciated!

    24. @ClearSkyStudios Iplehouse measures his head at 9.3 inch (23.5cm) so I'd think some 8-9 might work as long as it has good stretch. I'd say look for the exact sizes if possible, custom wigs probably not.

      • x 1
    25. I have a Luo. He is a solid 9. 8-9 from other manufacturers can be very tough without trying them on.

    26. I guess the reason I like Dean so much is because he kind of looks like an angrier version of Felix. Which is great for me, because that makes him perfect for Jai's later incarnation...

They did obviously change one aspect of his outfit - that buckle.

    29. Actually, the only buckles I had to... well, buckle,... were the two on his leg-straps. Everything else is held with one zipper and a few snaps. The front buckle on his belt isn't even functional.

    31. @Sianserais thank you for posting him completed!
He looks amazing and I love the colors you chose for him, it makes him look like a mysterious Kingdom Hearts character with that stained glass backdrop

Im going to keep a close eye on your posts, youve got an amazing Dean, and I cant wait to see what you will be doing with Camilla once she arrives

      • x 2
    32. @GreenTeaSlug - I hadn't thought of KH when I chose that backdrop, but I can see that! It's actually just a wall-decal I've had in my collection that I never got around to using until now. As for the colors, purple has always been the color I associate with Jai, and I wanted something to contrast with that. But I actually hadn't thought too much about what his later incarnations look like, since I'm still working on the first story.
I don't usually end up using fullsets on my dolls, but for now I think Dean might just keep this look.
Guess I'd better get working on the concept for Camilla, huh?

    33. [IMG]
One last picture of my Mari before I wipe her company face-up. Something has always felt like it was missing and it's usually on my mind when I look at her. *_* I've tried different eyes, wigs, and clothes on her and that was never it. I plan on giving her a new face-up soon. It's not bad, but I think I will like her more if I change it.

      • x 5
    34. Do you have a specific plan for her? She's such a lovely sculpt, but I can see how the default faceup may feel a little generic. A little more emotion or personality?

    35. @Sianserais, Dean is hot hot HOT! Great photo! :thumbup

@Maechen is that an older Faceup? It reminds me of the faceups on the old JID girls. For me, today, I want more depth, texture and if possible, yah - personality. I hope you can get her right for yourself :)

      • x 1
    36. Correct me if Im wrong, but @Maechen 's beauty is a Haute Couture Mari! One of their newer releases with a newer faceup! I always loved that faceup and skin combination for Mari :)

I think with Iplehouse's sculpts, eyes are very important. Realistic eyes like Masterpiece, Soul in a Box are always good choices to make them appear even more realistic.

Ive ordered Mako's new Soul line because its more wallet friendly and they look amazing in the photos on the website. Have you tried switching her eyes to smaller iris realistic style? I always like big iris's but I was so surprised, in a very good way, to use small iris eyes on my dolls.

I also think if you try positioning the eyes to the side, or in a way that the bottom of the iris, isnt "touching" the bottom eye lid, like its floating just a little but not too much that she looks like shes rolling her eyes will make a big difference

A little trick I also learned is to powder the wig with baby powder lol.. I use the cornstarch based ones, they dull the shine on the wig, and makes them easier to style (also less flyaway), and I personally like wigs that dont have bangs because they look more like real hair unless you like the wiggy look which is fine too, I also use those combs with the razors in them to thin them out, to give them a more human density. I thin the wefts, but never the top weft. I then tie a white silk wide ribbon around the hair and steam it to make it lie flat against the head, made a huge difference without paying extra $$$ for a custom wig

      • x 4
    37. @GreenTeaSlug You always have the best advice. I too immediately go to my collection of small irises the minute a doll arrives. I always set my eyes looking directly at me because it is so important to my doll relationships that they look deep into each other's eyes. My focus is always relationships. I remember when I only had one doll. He started relating to me, sadly. I was obviously a much larger and different species. Those eyes haunted me until I got him his wife to look at! Bossy dolls.

      • x 2
    38. @Sianserais Mari really is a nice sculpt! That is a great way to put it, and I do feel that mine is somewhat lacking in personality and she doesn't give off the vibe I would prefer for her to have. I want to give her straight eyebrows and a gradient red lip color with a hint of pink. I want to move the blush placement to give her a more gentle look and she could have a playful twist to her face if the corners of her mouth were more upturned. I also feel like she could use more definition on her outer lower lash line with darker eyelashes. Iplehouse's white resin is my favorite resin color so far and I want her face-up to accentuate it. I plan on keeping her with black hair but I want a new wig with defined partings at the bangs for some realism. I'd like to look at her and think, "You are my favorite Mari!" because I don't really feel like that right now. My other female doll always makes me smile and I'd like to have the same reaction with Mari.

@IngieBee @GreenTeaSlug is right about my Mari having the Haute Couture face-up! I admired it online a lot but I guess it's not the ideal one for me. I do agree with you on depth and texture as well! I have a clear image for her in my head now. The weather is supposed to warm up slightly this weekend so I hope to give her a face-up then. :)

@GreenTeaSlug She usually wears small iris eyes but my new doll stole her blue eyes since they were they only ones that looked nice on him. :sweat I definitely want to try different eyes, especially the Soul line from Makoeyes! I think a gray or a muted blue-green would look nice with her new lip color. Thank you for the wig tips as well. :3nodding: I didn't think about baby powder or the ribbon! Flyaway strands can be really bothersome sometimes. I appreciate your advice.

Also, a general question about wig sizes. Mari's head size is 8.4"/21cm and all of my 8-9" wigs slip off her head. I have not purchased any specific wigs for her other than the one from Iplehouse when I ordered her. Is it recommended to go with 7-8" size? Nevermind, I got a custom size.

    44. @ResinRapture I love that you used the same fabric and a similar silhouette but still made each piece a little different enough to represent their ages. I always thought it was very cute when mom's and their daughters dressed in matching outfits :)

@IngieBee Your Grace is beautiful! I like the contrast between her evening dress and the brick backdrop, gives it a bit of edge :)

@Bren I havent seen you posting in a while, please share your Grace! She's very memorable and one of my favorite Grace's out there :aheartbea

Im a bit excited now that we are in the fourth quarter of the year, I remember being told we will be seeing a new HID male for the Edge of Galaxy series towards fall, so I hope that is still true and hasnt been postponed. I loved Dean and Leon so Im looking forward to the new guy. Will he be scarred like the older Douglas? Will he be coming with a special head, or cool new weapons? Im hoping its a villain, because they are always dressed more edgy, and I like moodier looking faces on dolls

    45. Thanks, @GreenTeaSlug , there is good light there in the evening when I can sometimes take a picture, LOL :doh

    46. Just had a lot going on in real life. Haven't had much time to spend in the hobby.

In regards to your favorite Grace, I don't think it's me that you have in mind. :? I don't believe I have ever shared mine in this forum.

Edited to add: never mind. I think you may be referring to Hope. LOL I shared her once in regards to her darker brown color. yes????

    47. @LaurieESW @IngieBee Thank you!
@GreenTeaSlug Thanks, I thought about making them in the same style, but decided against it. Tabea is just not the type who wears tiny white collars.
@Bren Wow, that's the first Grace I see in that skintone. Suits her very well.
@collectionkate I don't speak French, but it looks like you said something nice, so thanks :)

    48. @IngieBee - That dress is so ethereal against the solid bricks.

@ResinRapture - Your girls make a wonderful mother and daughter pair. Love the print they are wearing also.

@Bren - Love your Hope! And she seems rare in that resin color.

    49. I was feeling a bit nostalgic and got out the "old" guy that started it all for me. I thought he arrived in 2008, but when I looked it up it was 2009. Once I had him in hand I was sunk and the exodus of most of the other brands of dolls I had at the time began. I don't play with him near as much as I used to, but he's still gorgeous.

    50. Ugh, such gorgeous dolls! Bren, is Hope a Grace? Love my brown Grace too! Such a gorgeous color. I want to make her more ethnic and settled on making her Indian as I love a Sari, or their silky pants suits, etc.. I'm thinking when I get back to seeing I'll assign each doll an ethnicity and make them traditional clothes ... As long as they're not too complex, LOL. After a Sari, I'd make a couple of dirndls just Hamburg, east Prussia and maybe Baveria because Baveria is most famous -since I'm German American. And then Scots / English for my hubby, then, my husband spent time in Africa, so I would love to do a Ndebel, but I'd incorporate a modern twist to all of them, celebrating the past with artistic leeway, LOL. Of course I also need Korean, Japan and China. But except for my Monaglow gowns, I don't do formal Ware. I'll turn the elements into streetware. I think it would be fun and it would allow me to simplify the elements without insult :D

@luluna , Charlemagne looks like she is straight out of 'The Scarlet Letter' and is beautiful!

@JinCIncy , Lao is such a hunk! The sweater and jacket are amazing!

    51. @ResinRapture, Her color is unique. Darker than all my dark brown and lt brown I have thru the years. I've only seen three or four others that perhaps were done in that color. And they were used in promos before 2 or 3 were sold in auction. I believe they were experimenting in the Skin change back when lt brown was changed to the darker color but not as dark as Grace is. And she is really dark, tho not Ebony.

@luluna, Charlemagne looks beautiful. Great corset.

@JinCIncy, I always drool when I see Khalid. Thanks for sharing him again.

@IngieBee Yes, she is. HOpe is a Grace. I don't sew, but a Sari would be great with her tone. Your Grace is lucky that you can sew. Would love to see her if possible. Most Graces I see are lighter skinned.

    54. nvm, Im blind lol, just double checked and indeed Lt brown is so many shades lighter, and in a caramel tone compared to Dk brown. edit****

Peach gold is a color Ive been very pleasantly happy with and hope to order a few more dolls in that color. Its so nice! Ive seen it referred to as lunch meat pink, but its a very nice tan, like naturally tanned white skin. Its very close to Tawny by Soom, but cool toned.

@Bren Yes, I was referring to Hope! I love how natural she looks, and that rich skin color on her really makes her features pop. She looks like she's always been the "it" girl and the attitude to match, because she knows shes beautiful
Ever since seeing your Grace a few months back (I think she was in a photo with Kamau?) I added Elf Grace in LT.Brown to my (ever growing) Iplehouse wishlist

@luluna is she on the nYID body? I think Grace is one of the most underrated dolls, and shes real versatile. I had to google the pronunciation of that name, it sounds elegant and french.
Im very impressed with the structure of her corset, it looks just like the real thing!

@JinCIncy I always loved your Xcor the most, but Khaled and Kamal twins are a very close second! Im so happy you are sharing him again, Ive always been intrigued about his profile but I couldnt find it in your websites or the database here :)

@kagami did you paint that tattoo? Its so well done and detailed!!! You've really taken care of Diana, and refreshed her. I would have never thought she was the old version of her because her skin still has that pink tone <3 Im not surprised, your Bermann is well loved so ofcourse your other dolls are too :aheartbea
Also great find on that wig! That wig color seems impossible to find, I cant even commission someone to do it because its turned out blueish instead of that pure olive color yours has.
