Do other similarly structured Japanese snacks count? There were these creme filled tube things (kinda like inside-out Pocky) that I got like 5 boxes of at a con once, ate two boxes worth, and got sick... Dx Pretz, what about Pretz? Haven't tried them but they look yummy. My favorite pocky is strawberry but I only like the version that's sweet, not the more tangy one with bright pink flakes, that I see sold more nowadays. I don't mind it and it probably has more real strawberry than the more yogurt-y one but idk. Occasionally I can manage to eat the banana chocolate ones as well but it depends on my mood. Cookies & Creme are yummy too but remind me too much of the ones that I ate too much of so I'm steering clear of those. My absolute favorite biscuit snack though is very similar to pocky but more... fancy looking, I would say? If I remember right it's called Fran and it's basically chocolate pocky but more buttery and with better and thicker chocolate. Comes in smaller amounts though.
I used to buy Korean-brand "pocky" in Korea Town in California. They had this one kind called Castle Magic or something like that. It was vanilla icing and had candy sprinkles and it was the most delicious thing in the world! I moved away but went back for a visit like 10 years later, and the store had been bought by Philippinos so all the Korean and Japanese snacks were gone. But even when I still lived in California, they stopped carrying Castle Magic brand and just had Japanese pocky. The worst flavor I ever tried was green tea. I couldn't even give it away. lol
Strawberry hands down for flavour and scent! Mmmmm Pumpkin is another good one but hard to find... I also like green tea, origional chocolate is okay but kinda plain in comparison. Edit: elaborating on answer
There is a kind that's double-rich Matcha... it's a matcha biscuit stick, with the matcha cream on it. That one is my favourite by far Though I do really want to try Berry Chocolat.
I’m one of the weird ones who don’t really like it that much and I also have moderate wheat sensitivity. I’ve tasted Strawberry, Matcha, a couple of different chocolate types, one with some crunchy bits in the chocolate coating. I do like many of the special KitKat flavors though, the mini bars. I don’t really eat much sweets, I like fruit. My downfalls are gourmet ice cream/gelato, macarons or a fruit tart when I do indulge.
I've only ever had the guts to eat strawberry, since I really don't like chocolate. I feel like I might like any white chocolate or cookies and cream flavors though.
I love strawberry for something a little tart, and I am a a deep lover of dark chocolate. I would try other chocolate types but my biggest issue is eating the whole box, so I only buy when I am at an Asian market in Arlington Heights.
Pocky Blond chocolate! My current favourite of all. It sale only in Japan but I found it in some snack shops.
I've had Blond Chocolat too recently. Very tasty, I think I'd bump it to being my second favorite. Shame it's so rare.
Good old strawberry will always win me over. Though I do love the various mousse ones they've done over the years (barring the matcha, which tasted like burning for some reason. Bad batch? Because I otherwise love matcha).
strawberry is my all time fav! i also like matcha! i never really eat the chocolate ones. technically they all have dairy so i shouldn't eat any but i love pocky anyways ^u^
