I'm a sucker for cat girls, and she seemed a safe starting point to get involved in BJDs. She was also on sale as a full set for cheaper than she would normally be as just a nude doll, so it was also a very economical price point.

Best Points:

Her overall sculpt is really adorable and very detailed for her size
Her tail is strung, allowing for some very cute posing changes
She's the perfect size for using accessories, furniture and playsets from toy lines including Re-Ment, Sylvanian Family, and Nendoroid

She's very top-heavy

Merope prefers all things sweet and frilly, and she absolutely loathes trousers, because they rarely accommodate her tail. She has several dresses with full skirts and puff sleeves, including the maid ensemble that she arrived with. While it's not her favourite outfit to wear, it does allow her to set up very elaborate jokes, so she's not averse to wearing it.

She also cannot stand scratchy lace, preferring soft tulle embroidered lace or cotton torchon.

Merope is named after the youngest of the Pleiades, and the faintest of the seven stars also named for the sisters.

Merope appears cute and shy, but is secretly a trickster fond of pranks. You wouldn't know it to watch her sipping tea of an afternoon, but she likes to set up traps and tricks for unsuspecting passers-by. If you find her at rest, patiently leafing through a book, she is likely waiting to ensnare her latest victim.

Her greatest joys in life (other than giggling over the minor misfortunes she causes others) are reading and snacking on sweets. She is especially fond of anything involving custard or cream, particularly parfaits.

Merope has prepared a special surprise with tea for the Master, but someone must have warned him of her plans, because he's nowhere to be seen.
