    2. Willow is more impressed with the new thread than she looks.....

    3. Last weekend the spotlight was on my newest Pukifee/Realfee, an unnamed Pupu. I brought her to my friend, who also makes mohair wigs and she was supposed to get a blue wig. But my friend knows what I like and threw some more colors at me.
And now she's ginger lol. My friend said I could give her a faceup right away, but since I'm no good at natural subtle faceups, I was having a hard time. Luckily it's my friend's specialty so now I have this beautiful little redhead <3
      [IMG]
She will get different eyes and she obviously needs some clothes, but I'm so happy with her <3
Two out of three of my Realfees are redheads now. And my fourth will have firetruck red hair, so she sort of counts lol.

    4. She's really pretty, Snow. I love the first page of a thread, so much wonderful spam. The Mari on the hippogriff body is adorable.

My Soso faceplate finally made it home, now I need to get her a body, since my Mari made off with the body that was intended for this plate.

    5. Great spamming everyone! I love seeing what you are all doing with your Pupu's and Soso's especially.
@Snow I love the softness of your Pupu's face up, she's a very sweet little redhead. :)
@clochette who did that face up? It's really gorgeous! :aheartbea

    6. Thank you! Pam Ford (PamSD) does al my non-default faceups. She does great work.

    7. Yay for new threads! Everyone's little ones look so adorable!

    8. Oh I love the earrings! What did you use?

    9. Jippo and Papageno want to be on the first page, too (unless this will already go to the second page). Here they are trying some origami:

    10. These little guys are bursting at the seams with cuteness!

    11. Such cute kids....Sunshine Jade, who did the faceup on your Pupu?

Pam uses a Dremel to do the piercing, they're actual earrings. I'll likely replace them with a tiny pair of hoops.

    12. Oh my goodness you guys! My package from DDE just arrived with my Violet Rus and my Agra tan fullset June and I'm smitten. I am going to take pictures shortly, but I needed to geek out on here at their arrival. And can I just say that June looks incredible in Agra tan. I wasn't sure how the face up and the tiny freckles would turn out against that tan, but oh my goodness, he looks amazing. He is one of my favorite dolls now for sure. I wasn't expecting that to happen at all. I'll post pics soon, but I'm going to go back to enjoying my dolls for a bit. I had another doll I have been waiting for for 7 months show up today too. It's like Christmas. So many dolls around me!

    13. Congratulations, I get the need to play! :) Look forward to seeing them all soon.

    14. Quick Pano spam :)

I've neglected my dolls alot this year, really need to do something with them :sweat
      Loving all the spam <3

    15. Thank you! :blush Xhanthi did her faceup. :aheartbea

    16. Congratulations!! Have fun! :)

    17. My girl's been here for couple of days already but aside from filming the box opening, I haven't taken pictures of her, really. Today her onesie arrived and I took a picture of her with her shark! He's actually finger puppet, from Ikea, but is just the right size and unusual enough to her take liking in! Her face-up is by me but I think it'll be only be temporary. And she's still wigless but the hood of her onesie covered that a bit.[IMG]

    18. Love the onesie and shark! Great angle for your picture too.

    19. Yeah, they're super cute, I love them too! And thanks!!!

    20. Great group shot Heather! You're getting quite a collection going there. :)

    21. been settling into a new space so I haven't really shared that Rue, my Mari, finally came back from the faceup artist! Now all my girls are together, hanging out on a temporary shelf while things get organized. :)

    22. Oh grief, look at all the RLF cuteness!!! I just love these dolls :aheartbea:aheartbea:aheartbea
I made some PJs for my three hybrid girls - they are gonna have a sleep over!

    23. @heavenlydevil Aww, cutie! :3

@LuckyXIII I love seeing group photos! And gosh, you Pano is just the most adorable! x3

      @CuriousRaven Pretty girls! :D

@Ban Sidhe What lucky girls! Those PJs looks very comfy! :)

      Marnie's headband
      by Akara, on Flickr

I found the May fullset clothes for Marnie and they fit her so well when she's on the hippogriff body. I also made her a headband to go with it but I'm not sure what lenght I should cut the lace at so for now it will be long ~

      • x 13
    24. @Akara Thanks!!! Your girl looks absolutely adorable!! I just love everything about her :D

I ended up wiping Starchild's face-up and changed her eyes to ones I had forgotten I had!! I might actually keep her without face-up, I rather like how she looks!! A bit funny and strange, and it fits to her, she is an alien after all!!

    25. Wig for my girl arrived yesterday and it's wonderful but... I'm not at all sure about it. Honestly, I think I got used to her being bald and kind of like it better now. So she might stay bald? And faceupless? Would that be weird?

    26. Whatever floats your boat. She's your doll, so she should look the way you want her to regardless of what anyone else thinks :D

      • x 1
    27. That's true! Thanks!

    28. I second the whatever floats your boat opinion! SO cute!

    29. My Pano is bald. I think these Realfee have such a great head shape that bald looks like a completely natural option for them.

I have another doll who may stay blank. She would certainly look better to others with a face up, but I'm so in love with her sculpt I just can't beat to paint over it!

I think your alien is adorable!

    30. I have a baldy Pano too and I second the opinion that RLFs have great shaped heads! I have two bald RFs too, but aren't they just miniature RLFs ;)

    31. I finally got a chance to do some faces - first is my little Minx.

[IMG]Minx by Martha David, on Flickr

Eyelashes are still coming- need to complete some wigs and clothing - They don't want pictures until they feel complete.

    32. @Ban Sidhe
      @stuartsmycat
      @Call Me Stephanie

Thanks, everyone!! I've decided to keep her bald, and at least for the time being, without face-up!! If I ever feel like I get bored of either, I may change it, but for now, she's as she is and I love her!!

FYI, I got magic sponges with one of my doll packages and I had put them on kitchen counter so my mom could put them away. When I asked her about them, she said she hadn't seen them and then suddenly got horrified face... She had thrown them away. :D She thought they were some kind of weird packing material.

    33. Heavenly: Thankfully they are pretty cheap at just about any chain store, at least in the US. No idea where you're from. But an easy mistake to make.

Spih: OMG so cute! Amazing work!

    34. @spih that is absolutely amazing. It's so coooool! :D I have great admiration for anyone who can sew that tiny.

I love seeing how diverse everyone's dolls are.
@heavenlydevil I know someone who had been unable to get a faceup for their doll for a long time and they had gotten so used to the blank face that the doll ended up with a very subtle faceup, because otherwise it wouldn't be the same doll anymore xD I always like blank faces myself. And the fun thing about these dolls is that you can do whatever you want with them over and over again.

@Akara Marnie looks perfect on the hippogriff body and it's as if the May fullset was made for it!

I've been spending a lot of time on the Realfee girls, and this is an 'older' photo, but the recent one I wanted to post is out of focus oops.
From left to right, Dera is a character that was a Littlefee. And then I bought a blue Pano and suddenly she's a blue Realfee lol. I modded the face and spraypainted it. Of course she needs a lot more work.
The Pupu was a bit of an impulse buy (for the body Haru came on) but she's so precious to me now. I'm happy to let you know she's not naked anymore. I'm thinking of naming her Elise.
I gave Hillevi french braids after this pic, which was a first for me. I want to give her a new faceup. Her perfect dress is from atelierAylaview. She's a lovely girl I met on Jointed Hearts in Sweden. I don't think she's on DOA but she's on instagram.
Peruna is just being Peruna, haha. She also needs a new faceup because it's slightly chuffed. I've been taking her on holiday and on trips for over a year.

    35. Soooo cuuute! :aheartbea

    36. Your Pupu is so sweet! I love her faceup, she looks like a nice little girl and she reminds me of Ginny Weasley.

I'd actually love to see a pupu with modded human ears......I might be charmed enough to add her to my wish list! Though I find, at least in pictures, that the realfees have oddly large hands and feet. Is it just me or are they a little more hobbit-proportioned? If they were more natural, I'd like to get one eventually, but I think those hand and feet proportions would be a dealbreaker for me.

    37. Thanks! I usually do my own faceups but I always have trouble with natural looking ones so my friend did a very lovely one on her xD

And yeah, the Realfee definitely have non-human proportions a little bit. It's the big hands and heads. Which is why mine are Pukifee haha.
The hands kind of scared me off when they first released but they don't feel as big anymore now.

    38. @Snow Oh, I'm not the only one then!! Great :3 Also did you know that one of your doll's names means potato in my native language? O_o

@spih That outfit is sooo cute!!! I love it :3

@Call Me Stephanie Yeah, I think they're pretty cheap here too! (I'm in Finland) And we had couple of them so it wasn't a problem, really, I just thought it was funny!

I found bag full of barbie clothes while in flea market today, and some of them fit Starchild! There was top and some panties that were perfect! Here she is with her new top and skirt (that was actually dress) in which she looks adorable, playing with her toys! (This is only some of her toys. I'm toy collector and gave her all my tiny toys. She's spoiled.)

    39. Haha yeah I know! xD She's my little potato :P
Starchild's dress looks really cute. I also have a bunch of random tiny toys for my Realfees xD It's mostly Kinder surprise egg things haha.

    40. It's not just you -- the RealFees, like the RealPukis, have outsized 'gnome' hands & feet.

I'm not crazy about the proportions myself; I'd like smaller hands for my RLF fauns/mermaid. But on the positive side, my LTF Leah head/RLF bunny-body girl can 'borrow' Littlefee hands... they're big on her little twig arms, but not much bigger than the RLF hands! And since Hari O'Malley is the naughty 'fairy godmother' to my LTF toddler Keili (Ante), her 'little girl face, crabbed old granny body proportions' look isn't (in this one case) a deal-breaker for me...

    41. I know what you mean. When I first got my girls I thought their hands photographed 'large'. (not their feet though - their feet are perfect) But the truth is - proportionally, the hands are NOT big. Any drawing or anatomy class will tell you an open hand is about the size of a person's face. That means RLF hands are still on the small side. An RLF hand only reaches from the chin of a Pukifee face to about the upper lid of an eye. The problem is, PKF and RF hands are sooooo small proportionally, they make RLF hands LOOK big. ;)

    42. I'm sure you're right. The RealFees & RealPukis still have skinny little twig arms, though!

    43. Oh okay cool!! Yeah, it's actually a barbie top with barbie dress under it. :3 Yeah, I have some kinder surprise eggs toys too, but a lot of mine are like from those little toy capsule thingies. I was rly into them at one point and have whole bunch of tiny hello kitty toys from them!!

This is true, I am an artist and I also think hands look okay, but each on their own. :3 I've heard a lot of people saying the body looks weird and maybe it does, a little bit but I love it because it's so unusual and cute and chubby!

    49. @916mvk Wow, I love that photo!! She looks so pretty and kinda angelic.

    50. She's so gorgeous. Looks like she's deep in meditation and at peace with the world. A very clever photo! :)

    51. Thanks, realfees are one of the greatest posers I have ever seen. I tried one at PNW BJD Expo that spring and decided firmly to get one. Or two...:wiggle

    52. Oh wow. That's a lovely photo.

I'm waiting on a second hand Pano and May at the moment. I can't wait :)

    53. ah I bought a june, he is so cute, he doesn't have a face-up but like heavenlydevil said not sure if he needs one....I will just let him be and will see how he will develope

    54. Finally modded my realfee's ears last week. I was thinking of it since I bought her, but never had enough decisiveness.
Now I'm very satisfied with her ear shape. Convenient with lying poses, changing clothes, carrying, wearing hats, styling wigs - and so on and so on!) And she looks such a cutie pie now :kitty2 I'm very glad I didn't manage to sell her when I tried.
Rona immediately got herself brand new name, new eyes, new faceup and asked for a pile of new clothes (eyes and wig on photo are temporary though, I'm waiting for ordered ones to arrive).
Thinking of little antlers for her and a matching fawny faceup, maybe. Not quite sure yet.
