Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 64

Mar 26, 2019

    1. I was hoping to eventually order a tan girl to finish my minifee trio when my finances allowed, but sadly that announcement came at the worst possible timing for me :( I can only hope they'll bring the option back since minifees are so popular. Speaking of, I was going to share a photo of one of mine so this reply wasn't so empty but looks like Flickr hates mobile users :doh

    2. I don't mind at all! Here is my Mirwen (Aynsleigh) with my Soo (Jaedon) with wig:

and a link to a picture of them wigless: http://strawberryreverie.com/shoots/misc/mirwensoo2.jpg

    3. @brightberry I am right there with you on holding off on sending dolls out for faceups right now. I have a few I want to send out and I've been holding off for the time being. It's hard though because you want them to be finished so much but it just isn't worth the risk.

      @~A*K~ you're welcome! :)

Wanted to share a new picture of Pythia, my Nanuri '14 girl. She's my fae druidess and I just love her!

    4. She's gorgeous!

    5. I finally have a Minifee again for the first time in like 8 years. I saw the Juri 19 and just could not resist that mean pout and those teeth! Her body arrived from Fairyland honestly way sooner than expected. Excited to send her out to get a faceup soon

    6. She’s such an adorably grumpy sculpt! Congrats on your new girl.

    7. I've been trying to look for this topic but no luck.

Does anyone know if you can put a-line normal/heel feet on a moe-line body?

I haven't been in the hobby for years so I'm a bit out of the loop.

    8. You unfortunately can not. You would need to replace the ankle piece as the moe feet have a bigger ankle piece that doesn't fit in the a-line feet or the a-line heel feet.

    9. Oh darn that is unfortunate. How hard is it to replace that ankle piece? Do they sell the ankle piece separately at all?

I'm having such a tough time finding nice shoes for the moe feet.

    10. She's pretty but I'm safe; I might be interested on the crown. I'm curious about the event heads, just a matter of time.

    11. Groan... I forgot about event heads! I thought I was safe. The new girl is amazing. But, I can wait on her. I already have a tan Alicia coming in.

    12. I haven't switched the ankle part personally I just know the feet aren't able to be swapped because I have both A-Line and Moe-Line girls and I have tried using the a-line feet on the Moe body and it doesn't work out. It shouldn't been too difficult to swap out though since it wouldn't require you to fully unstring the body. However I don't know if you can buy the ankle part separately. I tried looking at Fairyland's site and it says the magnetic ankle they have available is the Moe one. You could probably contact Fairyland though and see if they would allow you to buy just the A-Line ankle piece.

If it helps, the Moe heel feet do fit decently well into shoes made for the A-line heel feet. And for flat feet I have found some cute Yo-SD shoes that fit (though not all Yo-SD shoes do). These sandals from Luts for example fit well: lutsdoll co.,ltd. I personally really like them so I now have them in 3 different colors for my Moe girls to wear. My Nanuri '19 -2 is wearing them in this picture: Login • Instagram and my Nanuri '19 - 1 is wearing the pink version in this picture: Login • Instagram

    13. The new minifee is lovely and her shoes are just gorgeous. But I think I'm also safe. To scarred to ad an other doll when Carol has not arrived yet. Worried the event head will be really cute though.

    14. About 80% sure I’ll be ordering the new Minifee Sylvia when she’s available. Just debating on whether I should try to bump the order price up to qualify for an event head or not...:sweat

    15. The new event head was posted on Facebook and oh my goodness he looks like the old CP delf El to me! Far more than the minifee El ever did. I can't figure out how to link to a specific facebook post but if you go to Kim Sunhwa's Facebook I'm sure you can find the post. Here is a link: Kim SunHwa

Aaaah I just ordered a doll from a different company but he looks so nostalgic to me! Like the old CP / Fairyland aesthetic coming back!

    16. Wow, that really is a different head from them. I like!

    17. Love the event head. Seems very mature.

    18. Not feeling the event head at all, but it’s because it looks very masculine to me, and I only collect girls. lol. So I’m just going to order Sylvia a la carte once she’s available at DDE, and sit this event out. :sweat

    19. I agree, from far I thought it was a male head. But up close she she looks more feminine and she does has something unique about her different from the other event heads.

    20. I'm also safe with the event head, so safe with the event. I might be joining a split for the crown but that's it. :)

Mystical, magical Eliya. In her new Raouken corset.

    22. Ooooh I really like the event head! It's one of the most unique heads they've released in years, imo. I was already thinking Sylvia would be a great addition to my collection, so I'm definitely going to be ordering during the event :)

    23. I really like how much more mature the event head is! I have been trying to look for a boy MNF but the other sculpts looked a little too young for me. I am so excited to get him to pair for my Carol. I think I might try putting him on a different body though to give him a few cm of height difference.

    24. I haven't paid any attention to my dolls in a few years, but recently took my Mika camping with me lately, as i was feeling up to it.
Was really happy i got her to balance on the tip of this cypress knee xD

    25. I have a similar question about swapping feet. Could you please clarify whether your dolls have the string feet or magnetic feet that you tried swapping? I have 2 A-line dolls with string feet. I'm thinking about buying ankle parts and magnetic feet to switch the string feet over to magnetic. The Fairyland website seems to say that the Moe ankle part will fit the A-line dolls, but if there is doubt maybe I shouldn't spend the money if it won't work.

    26. I bought magnetic a-line heel feet when i had my Moe and used them with the ankle parts she came with, with no issue.

Can't say about the actual ankle part, how that would fit into the calf though.

    27. I was talking about switching the magnetic A-line feet with the magnetic Moe feet. Because the magnetic A-line ankle piece is a different size than the magnetic Moe ankle piece the feet themselves are not interchangeable without an awkward gap.

    28. I just wanted to order a doll on fairyland and see they have discontinued tan. Is that something they do more often and does it come back after a while? They say in one post I have been a able to find its due to quality issues during monssoon season and they don’t know when it will be back. Does that usually take long?

    29. I took some new pictures of my Nanuri 19-2 named Odette today and wanted to share my favorite of the group:

    30. @malvinas She is very beautiful. I love her face up.

    31. @Luna_and_Stelladolls No one knows when they’ll bring the tan back. They implied it could be for a very long time.

    32. *unlurks*

Darn, it looks like I'll have to dye the Altis boy I was planning on putting on layaway later on this year in order to get a tan MNF. :(

I took a few pics of Chiyoko, my 2009 Fire Scarred Shiwoo/Summery NaNuRi girl a couple of days ago. This one next to the hibiscus is my favorite.

So many other beautiful MNFs, I'm loving seeing all the pics! :D

It looks like FL has released their newest fullset! MiniFee Sylvia Designers Complete (Amethyst) . I'm safe from getting her, but wow, she is a gorgeous sculpt! It may be weird, but I only want the shoes and the crown.

It says that Sylvia's an "A-Line." Are they bringing A-line bodies back for their fullsets? I might be more inclined to get a fullset every now and then if they decide to keep doing that!

It looks like I can buy A-line bodies separately, when did FL start doing that again? Seems like I need to check "body parts" more often on FL's site. :doh

    34. Beautiful :D

My impulse purchase was a Tan Mirwen Boy. Keep an eye on the marketplace, I've seen some tan Mirwens every now and then.

    35. Isn't A-line body with cutie legs and large bust the fullset standard these days for the girls? I keep hoping they'll do another moe release, or even a different bust size, but they seem to all be pretty uniformly on that body.

    36. Is Nanuri 19-2 the same as Nanuri 19/20?

    37. @PaeoniaDrop no, Nanuri 19-1 and 19-2 are the winter event from last year. The Nanuri 19/20 head is from this year.

      • x 1
    38. @PaeoniaDrop As @dxgirly said there were two event heads for the Nanuri 18/19 event both referred to as Nanuri 19. Because there were 2 they are referred to as either Nanuri 19-1 or Nanuri 19-2 depending on which event head it is. Odette is the second head of the minifee heads from that event.

    39. OK, well two different people are saying two different things so I don't know what to think. I wondering if one of you has an old doll and they have since changed the molds. Malvinas, were you using the a-line heel feet or flat feet?

    40. @Mimi*Fee both heel and flat. I'll take pictures to show what I mean tonight about the gap and post them here either tonight or tomorrow.

@Mimi*Fee I have pictures that will hopefully help demonstrate my experience trying to use A-Line feet on the Moe body.

Some notes: I tried two different pairs of A-Line heel feet on the Moe body, since I have lots of minifee and thus lots of feet. The A-Line heel feet pictured arrived to me from Denver Doll in February of 2019. I also tried a pair of A-Line Heel feet that were purchased from Denver Doll in September 2017. Interestingly, the feet that arrived in 2017 fit like the pictured A-Line flat feet while the feet from 2019 wouldn't even fit onto the ankle piece. I'm not sure why that would be but I thought it was worth noting.

    41. My moe was back in like 2012/13 i think.
The molds do shrink over time from use-age tho so maybe thats it?

    42. I feel like I barged in here without any nice contributions last time so since I'm on the computer I thought I'd take the opportunity to show off one of my minifees. This is the younger version of my f65 Chloe Teiwa, or as I've nicknamed her, Tiny Tei.

    43. So cute! :D I'm currently waiting for that same sculpt

    44. Thank you :) As in second hand? Looking back on the post I see I wasn't very clear, this one isn't a Chloe! She's just shelling a younger version of the character I have for mine. Tiny Tei is an elf FLAM from the A-line renewal event :3nodding:

    45. Hahahaha, don't worry, I understood what you meant. Also, I know that's not a Chloe, hahaha; so yes, I'm waiting for a second hand FLAM Elf. :)

    46. Better safe than sorry  Congrats, it's such a lovely sculpt! It's one of my favorite minifee sculpts, if not the favorite.

    47. Hello everyone, looks like tan is back??
Does anyone have more info if it's just for Sylvia or for all. I saw you could still order a la carte for tan on DDE.

    48. They posted this in the notice section:
"Also, MNF tan skin option has been reinstated for the summer event period."
"Tan Skin Option will be available during 2020 Summer Event Period for: PukiFee and MiniFee only."

So now they gave me a reason to regret my impulse purchase when they made the announcement of retiring tan skin.

      • x 3
    49. Aww man, I totally would have ordered Sylvia in tan, if I had known they were going to make it available for her. :(

    50. I'm not sure if you mean you already ordered Sylvia in ns. But if you did you can request to change it.

"Also, MNF tan skin option has been reinstated for the summer event period. If you wish to change your order as a result, please contact us at "[email protected]" with your FairyLand order number."

    51. Thank you! I forgot to add that part in my last message.

      You should totally ask them!

      • x 1
    52. @Lillyroos I ordered from DDE Not sure if they’re doing that or not?

    53. I think if asked DDE would do it, since there basically just the in-between. Wouldn't hurt trying if you really want her in tan!
@~A*K~ The way they worded it feels like it's only for the summer?? So maybe it wasn't totally regrettable.

      • x 1
    54. I agree that DDE would do it! :)
It's not totally regrettable, but I could have ordered during the event and get some extra stuff. Oh, well, at least I was able to order, haha.

      • x 1
    55. I just sent an email over to DDE asking if I could. Hopefully they say yes, and just let me pay the difference. Though I’m not sure how that would work with layaway and paying with a debit card? Hopefully they can just send me an invoice for the total difference, and I don’t have to wait for them to refund me, then wait for the funds to return to my bank and then order again.

    56. @~A*K~ I see what you mean now! Yes extra stuff is always nice lol

Fingers crossed DDE is able to help :3nodding:

    57. They let me change her to tan! They just cancelled the original order and refunded the amount I had already paid to one of their gift cards, and then I placed a new order, used the gift card, and paid the difference with my debit card. So glad it worked out.

thank you guys for posting about it here! I never would have known if I hadn’t read this thread today.

I’m so excited to see her in tan :D

    58. *sigh* I have NO idea if this is in another thread or not. I have looked EVERYWHERE trying to find a youtube video or thread on here for this specific answer! Ok well, here it goes: I have recently ordered some high heel feet (the old hook kind) for my old style Mnf Mirwen. I am relatively new to resin bjds. (even though I have owned this doll for many years, I only recently had her faceup done (like a year ago maybe) and got back into my dollies) That being said, I am scared to death of changing her feet and losing ankle parts or unstringing her legs. I saw the restringing thread on here, but it didn't really help me. HOW on EARTH do I change out these feet easily and carefully? I'm attaching a pic of my girl for the heck of it. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers me! [IMG]
