I was thinking about hybriding a girl and after looking at comparison pictures with other 65 cm bodies I think you're right, the curvier one is too realistic for feeple60 heads.
Time to look for other options I guess

 

Today I received my feeple60 head back from having a face up. I'm so pleased with her, she's my first feeple60 (and SD).


I've really loved seeing everyone else's pics

Beautiful face-up on your Ellana, @Mechromancia ! Mirwen is my all-time favorite FL sculpt.

 

I don't think the neck would fit?? It's much larger in diameter. I have a couple of heads on impldoll model bodies. These would be perfect and fit very well except their necks are too flat on top and don't allow for looking up and down. When I get my new model bodies which will be ordered to match the FL resin, I will mold a rounded end with epoxy putty. I'm using shapeways neck adapters. I think this body is a super fit, and the price is amazing

 

Any custom Ria's? Default Ria's are welcome too!

My two big babes have flown off together for faceups! I miss them so much already!

Hello everyone. I just wanted to show my body review for Impldoll with a ShuShu head (I know, my faceup sucks! - I'll be sending her out soon :P ) Anyway, aside from the color and that I need to round out the top of her neck, I think this body is pretty amazing, especially for the price of about $220 especially with free shipping from Alice's Collection! I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the two pink bodies I have, but I did just order three custom colored bodies for my floating FL heads So hopefully her new body will match in resin color, or be in the same hue

Just a note, she won't arch her back. This could be because she is very tight, and it could be that if she were looser and if she were sueded, she could arch, nothing is preventing it, except for a strong pull forward when you try. I might try making a ridge to hook on with epoxy putty when I round up the neck?

@IngieBee Aesthetically and proportionately I think the body works wonderfully as a hybrid! At a very quick glance I didn’t notice it wasn’t a FL body. Do they have another skin tone option that might work better? I would love to see pictures after the new faceup and neck modification.

 

@Castillerja no on the resin color options other than custom, which I am doing and is costing me $50 as a one time charge to do 3 bodies. I think that's super reasonable. Now I have to figure out what to put on the two pink bodies I have But I'm sure I'll find something!

Also, in case anyone is thinking of using this body, I want to reiterate that the neck needs to be rounded , as it's very flat on top. This causes the head not to be able to look up or down. It could be rounded via grinding, but if you want to keep the length of the neck, I am hoping that epoxy putty will do the job. It shouldn't take much.

 

Oh gosh yeah! That sounds super reasonable, especially considering many companies would charge that or more just for one body.

 

Only problem is, I'm sending in a head cap, which is pretty scary! And that adds to the cost. But Alice's Collections has free shipping which is amazing! So I'm saving a lot there

 

Hmmm yes, a head cap is difficult to replace. Why not send in a hand or a foot? At least those items are offered as parts.

You're shushu head looks really good on that impldoll body! And it's really affordable I'll definitely look into that if I get another SD. Thanks for all the info on it

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I was active here on DoA (or in the doll hobby in general) but recently my spark has been reignited and I'm hoping to be getting a F60 Mirwen soon.

Did anyone notice the update to Fariyland's post yet?:

Due to external managerial reasons that has taken place rather recently, we are extending the temporary pause for next 2-3 more weeks.

We do apologise for the delay.

A little bummed that my wait to make an order has been delayed further but I'm hopeful that with their return will be good news/event/new releases. I love Fairyland and am excited to get into the realm of SD with a Feeple 60 once they return from hiatus.

 

Thank you @Loganberry I will look her up! There is a certain Shushu look that I wish to capture, and of course I didn't, LOL. I hope I can get someone to do that for me!

Happy to, @hsifalissa ! It's just such an inexpensive body, that's better than so many other inexpensive bodies and with all the event heads we get, it's nice to give them their own body to live on, LOL

 

Hello everyone, I'm peeking into this thread to say that I volunteered as an archivist the other night and read through all 52 pages of part 12! You all have such lovely dolls, and I had a lot of fun reading the discourse. Reading about the F60 boy in development is such great news! I'm very excited to see the result.

Since Fairyland has postponed their sales (admittedly making me nervous), I understand there's not as much to discuss lately, so I thought I'd give a prompt of sorts if that's alright:

What is everyone's favourite F60 sculpt? Or, what is your favourite of the F60s you own?

Since I've been updating the relevant wiki pages, I've had to look up a lot of info, and I stumbled across the FLA60 head. I think it might be tied with Mirwen for my favourite F60 sculpt.

 

@aestellica Welcome, welcome! Mine is Ria for sure, so much that I had to get her recently, haha!

 

@aestellica I'm a sucker for Lacrima. Especially Vampire Lacrima. The way her teeth are set into her plump bottom lip, it's just so darn adorable!

New Thread!! Yaaay. (er... am I forgetting?) Actually, I found one of those balls for the neck device that came with one of my second hand bodies, which was broken. I forgot I had it. I sent it in, so if it gets lost, no biggie So all is well

I find it hard to have an absolute favorite. I really love all the FL faces, even the odd ones, like my Juri 2013 who I'm going to have to try redoing her faceup :P I used a set of pastels I forgot were bad, and they smear when you put on the varnish, they bleed and they get darker and streak, really bad stuff. I found the good box of pastels, and need to try it again

 

Favourite sculpt you say? I don't think I can pick just one since my favourite sculpts are the girls I own; Celine, Scarlett and Vampire Lacrima. I also really love Ria, I think she might just end up being my favourite out of the lot (once I've ordered her and see her in person)

Ugh when is fairyland open again?! I saw on their q&a section, so many people asking about the spring event and when they'll be open again.

Also, i have a question regarding leekeworld shoes.

Would these heels fit the f60 heel feet? I'm struggling to find heel shoes that my girls will be able to stand in!

 

@jp_bestie - I'd love to know if those shoes fit, too. Going by the measurements, I'm afraid they might be a little too long. These Dollmore heels are a perfect fit: Dollmore.net :: Everything for Doll & more and come in several colors. My Mirwen is wearing a pair in black in post #5 above. She has a doll stand in the photo, but she can stand in these shoes unaided if you get her balance just right.

Out of all my Cygnes (3) Sydney (tan) has become my favorite. She just looks good no matter what style I put her in.

@stuartsmycat thank you too! I noticed Cygnes is another big favorite, and I adore her as well! I especially love the frosted faceup on tan, like your's, it's amazing! I love her clothes, but especially her beret! I need to get my but sewing, my girls have no clothes!

Here is my other FLA60. In many ways this sculpt is like a Lishe, which may be why I have been collecting them, LOL. More of them are on the market! I believe this is the one Sabrina in ?Russia? painted, which you can see in many photos on flickr, with the doll in the pool, etc... I've compared her faceup to the closeups of her's and they are identical in every way, so although I wasn't told she was the artist, I'm 100% certain she is the same doll.

I have a pale pink body from Impldoll that I hope I can blush a white skinned FLA60 head to match, which I just bought off the market place. Fingers crossed I can do a decent job, otherwise she'll have to go visit AngelToast too, LOL.

Well, I did an oopsie, LOL. I thought I bought another FLA60 head, but I actually bought a FL60 A head, which I believe is an event head from 2016. This is fine because I mostly bought it because it was a pretty WS head that I plan to blush and fit on one of my impldoll bodies that are too pink for my FL heads. I have new bodies coming in with custom resin that should fit my FL heads better. I hope I can do a good job matching the color!

 

@IngieBee I never realised those heads had 'names' so similar to each other and you're right, the FL60 A head was from the 2016 event when FairyLine60 Scarlett was released I actually have one myself and it's a really cute sculpt, I guarantee you won't regret buying it.

Speaking of my FL60 A head, Cosmik actually has a few of his decora hairclips now. I'm hoping we might hear more about the Feeple60 boy body when Fairyland reopens because I'd love to give him one instead of doing a hybrid.

 

Oh WOW, he's AMAZING, @Magical Rin ! This is going to be fun! Gosh, I wish they'd just sell bodies so we can finish up all the floating heads they create!

 

@IngieBee haha~ thank you! Considering I didn't like the sculpt initially I've become very fond of it now, it has so much potential. Can't wait to see what you do with yours once it arrives Ugh, I know right? I do seriously wonder why they have chosen not to sell Feeple60 bodies separately when they sell MiniFee ones I'm just hoping they go through with making a new Feeple60 boy body and aren't just stringing us along.

 

Ah, it's been three weeks right? I hope they open back up soon! Before all this, I was planning on making an order, but decided to wait for an event. Regardless, I'm pretty excited to see what they come up with. A Feeple60 boy would be cool, but I would love to see a Fairyline60 version of the Alicia tail (gorgeous) or a true mermaid. Or a Fairyline60 centaur (though that might break the bank). I'm really curious.

 

Has anyone else asked Fairyland when they're coming back?
I asked them on monday regarding when they think they'll be back and i also asked about a maybe spring event. They completely ignored the question about the event and just repeated themselves about the hiatus.
i dont use nor have facebook but has Kim Sun-hwa on facebook mentioned anything new?

 

I haven't asked but it looks as though a lot of people are asking, LOL. I'd like to know what they are up to more than anything! I hope it'll be good when they come back!

 

We're definitely at the 3 week mark now, the longer estimate given as to when they'd return from hiatus. I'm so anxious to make an order but now also nervous that the second they open back up they'll be super flooded with orders and my wait will be hellish, haha.

Checking this thread every day and appreciating the cuties that everyone is posting, thereby making me even more anxious. I need my first SD like nooooow :B
