Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - part eleven

To the last reply on thread ten - I think they'll sell out a lot faster once they're listed on the FL site because they will ship to anywhere. I don't believe DDE ships worldwide?

 

I think price is a huge factor. I suppose its hard to balance an idea with reality when it comes to making a doll. I think she is absolutely gorgeous, just out of my price range. I am hoping they come out with different body options to fit the fairyline sd that are not as expensive.

 

I really wanted to order direct from Fairyland, so I asked them about Scarlett stock, they said they had a number set aside for their website.

I think it was just a translation issue -- in their notice, I read "remaining stock" as "the stock that is left over after DDE's sales", but what they probably meant was "the stock that remains after DDE's allotment".

I am not too worried anymore about her selling out lightning quick, as she still is available on DDE's website after a week, and I believe DDE does ship worldwide. And I can't think of any F60's that sold out super quick. Delfs, perhaps, back in the day of Elf El and Lishe . . . but nowadays it is mostly the MNF that are super popular.

 

It certainly seems like there will be stock of Scarlett to go around! I wasn't personally interested enough in the fantasy tail to get it myself, but I look forward to seeing what others do with it. Does anyone have plans to blush/dye the tail? I've seen a couple of Sia's with dyed tails that are quite lovely.:3

 

@itzreeseybetch I know DDE will ship worldwide. People outside the US don't like to order through DDE if they can help it because while doll companies may under declare the item (even if they claim they don't, lookin at you Luts sending me my "$40" doll gift) DDE will not underdeclare.

 

Seconding the colored tails! It was stated that it'll be "transparent brown" but based on the promo pics, it will be see-through enough to let the cogs design show.
Applying transparent acrylic paints or airbrushed watercolor can add color to it, or painting it with a flat color to hide the designs underneath would be possible too. I can't wait to see everyone's plans!
(Too bad I can't order too. I'm still wishful thinking that FL will re-release non-Moe FL60 though.)

 

@Effulgence I hope they'd be open to selling just the fantasy parts too! While I'm not getting Scarlett, I would love to see FL give people the option to buy her human set and get other fantasy parts later without needing to purchase a whole other doll. Yeah people can do group/split orders but they can be hard to put together if fantasy parts are going to be limited, like all the past ones have been.

 

Well, I just broke bank. I don't know whether to be ecstatic or concerned, lol (leaning toward ecstatic, but concerned creeps in with the extra editing projects I'll have to keep up, in addition to normal work!! haha). I haven't even received my Full set Ringdoll K style-B, and ordered the Full Option Scarlett in tan!!!! I. Just. Love. Steampunk!!! And I really think Scarlett will looks amazing in tan skin!! She will be my first Fairland doll ever (totally feeling driven!!). I mean, live in the day you know...grab happiness when you can (cue maniacal laugh ).

Now, I've heard the tans with this company can be hit or miss on finishing? Not like Dollzone, for example, where there is literally NO sandline or sanding marks on my tan Gill . Curious what you think of their tan bjds....?

 

@marci12 I think I got a good tan batch! Most of her seams were very very small, the same as my normal and white skin dolls, but there were some sanding marks on her legs. Thanks so much!! Yeah, that's noticeable, but with the outfit Scarlett comes with, I'm hoping anything that apparent will be hideable. I hope my doll is lucky also then, and there's not many areas like that. I can deal with seam lines, but a lot of obvious color discrepancies is a bit much. I pray it won't be toooo bad; little things give your dolls character and a more human element though . Your dolls are stunning!!

 

@marci12 That's true I think her outfit covers most of the seam areas anyway! My girl has some "marbling" that isn't streaks, it's very faint dots that I think look like birth marks! They're only on a couple spots on her and too light to photograph, but in person I think it looks like skin texture And thank you very much

 

Ahh I get it. Yeah I can see why that would deter people. I definitely wouldn't buy as much stuff as I do now if we had to pay customs fees for it all.

 

Oh yeah, Im sure you guys covered this like further back or something, but this Scarlett will be my first feeple sized doll from fairyland. I have a feeling their feet is maybe smaller than other sd sizes, no? Is it hard to find them shoes that fit (like with the minifees)?

 

@Vickster I have yet to buy shoes, but I hope this comparison can help! If her feet are still the Moe feet, then they're not smaller really, but wider and chubbier than other SD girl feet. Here is a Feeple60 Moe foot next to my Little Monica Harmony girl's foot. They are both 6cm in length, even though in the photo it looks like the Feeple foot is longer (that's just the photo distorting a little, my phone has a hard time focusing on things so close to the lens).

 

That's wonderful to know! Fairyland states in the Fairyline60 Measurement table that the flat feet are 6.5cm and high-heeled feet are 6.0cm in length. What isn't stated is width of the foot. Do you know how wide the foot is? Would you say the foot is 3 or 4cm wide? Thank you so much for the information and photo reference.

Oh fantastic! Thank you so much for taking time to measure the foot and responding so quick! I really appreciate your kindness. Does that mean if a shoe is 3cm wide it would be too tight for the foot?

 

@Charm505 Oh you're right they are 6.5cm not 6cm! That was my mistake in my original post (@Vickster when you read these go by 6.5cm not 6 like I originally said!) The widest part is just shy of 3cm

 

I posted this info in the previous thread: Dollmore's basic high heel pumps for SD girls fit Moe feet perfectly. The size is 7cm by 3cm. The colors currently in stock are black, silver, red and red enamel. If I remember to take a photo I'll post it here later.

What I'd like to find is a simple bodice pattern and pants (like jeans) pattern that fits my Lunnula's badonkadonk!

 

Check the Feeple 60 what fits thread. Me and a bunch of others have added lots of clothes and shoes that fit feeple moe. For shoes, SD10 is a safe size and seems to fit

 

I checked the DoA Feeple60 wiki (FeePle60 - DoA BJD Wiki | Den of Angels) but it's ambiguous on what exactly fits. It just says Feeple60s will fit Delf, SD and SD13. The only other place I checked was the DoA Feeple60 database (/threads/feeple-people-–-a-feeple-60-database.548453/) but it shows a picture of Feeple60s and their character background story. I must be missing something. Am I looking in the wrong places?

@Effulgence Thank you! Her eyes are from Oscar Doll! In Clarissa the gold really pops, but when they're in my white skin Little Monica girl the pink really pops! They're very versatile eyes

 

@Cuteasadoll thats one lovely girl. I agree with previous comment that the hair color really matches her very well! What color hair do you have in mind for her? And is she really a Celine? Her lips somewhat looks different, maybe its just the angle. Still lovely.

Aww man, now I really want a Celine in feeple size too! >.<

 

@Vickster She might end up keeping this wig altogether, but she's going to have an alpaca wig tied up in a messy bun! Here is the alpaca all dyed, I'm waiting for it to get to me now.

She is a Celine! Her lips look different because they're painted in more on the upper lip, and the gradient on the bottom works in favor of not making it look quite so big. You can see a little bit of one of her cute teeth in the photo

 

I plan to buy human head for my vampire Lacrima.
Every time when I see her I realize that I'm totally in love...
But now it's just a head. I will buy Feeple60 body this year and then I will see her more often (now she lives in the box)!

I just placed an order for a basic Scarlett FL60 with extra hands and heel feet I hope the body does not disappoint, I can't wait until I can get to play with it ^^

 

I had my cart all ready to go and to pay at like 6:05 and then i don't know what happened but it said there was no stock left and everything just disappeared. I had to put everything back in again. I felt my heart skip a beat just then.

Valarie's temporary eyes arrived the day before I went back to University, I bought her with me and took a few photos. Excuse the lighting, it's horrendous in my on-campus room Going to buy her and my boys some Oscar Eyes soon.

 

I'm SO sad that basic F60's weren't included in the tan event, I've waited months to save up for a Celine ! I did ask when the next event would be, they said it would be "in the near future" ?? Maybe they have more dolls to release soon.

Oh... And I partially caved and bought a NS Scarlett head through a split, but will she fit on a normal moe body? I did a bit of searching to find out but I couldn't see a definite answer, hopefully there isn't any size issues like a few of the MiniFee sculpts not fitting on Fairyline bodies. She'll be my first big Fairyland doll *yayness* ...Unless I magically find a tan Celine on the MP here *grabby hands*

 

I've had this happen on other company websites when I tried to order right at the beginning of an event. If it's the same situation, it just means they updated the product pages between when you placed the items in your cart and when you went to checkout. Thus, due to the change in coding, the items disappeared from your cart.

Ayu still haven't her own body so I have to use nYID body for photo shooting. The neck is too big for Feeple60 head...

Silentia ~ the pink hair really stands out with her blue eyes! And hey, at least the resin match makes for a nice picture.

@Vanille ~ The FL60 body looks like it is based on the F60 Moe body (while the FL40 body looks closer to the A-line MNF), and they didn't note that there'd be fit problems like they did for the FL40, so I would be very surprised if Scarlett's head didn't fit the Moe body. You could always ask on the Q&A board if you want to be sure, though. ^^

Fairyland seems to offer tan skin pretty often, hopefully they'll offer it either during an upcoming event (Spring? Summer?) or during a mini-event for some other new doll release.

@Magical Rin, your Celine is reminding me of 1) why I have been wanting a Celine, and 2) why I want to get a FL tan eventually. xD She looks great in those rich colors!

 

Thanks! Celine is such a nice sculpt, she's really expressive and Fairyland's tan is a really nice colour, not too dark like I was worried it might be XD

@michellebebe Thank you! It's a Leekeworld wig in Lavender Rose! I don't know what exact style it is because I bought it secondhand.

 

Paid for my Scarlett last night, I'm so excited! I've been wanting a Feeple60 for ages, but between moving and the original line being discontinued, the time just never seemed right to actually get one. So glad Scarlett was released, and at a good time!

I'm kinda glad for the wait though, I still need to unpack all my doll stuff and get a new display cabinet.

 

Congrats as well! I did the full option in tan. What color did you choose for Scarlett?

 

Well, mine is coming without the faceup... if you can wait the 3-4 months for her to arrive.

I ordered the Basic Scarlett in NS since I have a Feeple60 Chloe in Tan already. Just not sure when I will get another so didn't want to limit and I really fell in love with her as she looks in the company pics we have. I am doing 3-4 month layaway but hope to just have it paid off when she gets in. Grats to everyone who was able to get her

I didn't go for the fullset so I ordered a basic Scarlett. To help with the wait I bought a F60 event head (that will hopefully arrive tomorrow). I hope to paint it as a warm up trial for Scarlett.

No, those are Lunnula's eyes I am keeping. I'm not 100% sure what wig/ Eye combo shell get. I guess that's the fun part that I get to play with her tonight and find out who she will be. I'm pretty sure when my Lacrima Head is given a faceup shes going to steal the body since I only have one Feeple body right now. I'll spam again when I think I have a keeper combo!
