DollShe craft 28M and 26F Fashion Pose 44/41 cm size - Part 4

Mar 25, 2019

    1. Yeah I've never purchased from Dollshe before but I've heard that the wait times can be pretty wild. How bad are we talking for events like this?

    2. I am at the over 1+ year mark, I also got him from BJDivas which are a great dealer to get dolls from the layaway plan was very generous. The last time I ordered from Dollshe direct was 4yrs ago and the wait time then for my SD size girl was 6-8 months. So times have changed when it comes to getting dolls from him, also he is a small company so not many staff as well and his health does interfere from time to time.

    3. Wow @redmaiko, I love that photo! Great composition and beautiful doll

    4. oh wow! welp, good to know at least, lol. I ordered directly from the dollshe site, so we'll see how that goes XD Maybe he'll wind up being a christmas present to myself if I luck out XD

      • x 1
    5. I've been waiting for a year and a half-ish? Just for reference. I go through BJDivas to save on shipping.

A bit of Nox. I tried out some moodier lighting, and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

    6. I ordered him directly from the company, so I guess we'll see how it goes XD
      I love your boy @rianne , he's gorgeous!
Also, does anyone know where I can find exact measurements on the 28m fashion body? I'm trying to figure out if my boy is going to be able to share clothes or not X'D

    7. @Hakari-chan The measurements for the 28m are listed at the bottom of this page. I ordered an Arsene directly from Dollshe as well in February because it was a great deal and I had no luck finding one on the marketplace. I'm so lucky that someone posted one for trade for an Iplehouse Bichun that I had just sitting in a box. So last week I received him and I'm just so happy. Now I can patiently wait the year + till I receive him. Then I'll have the Arsene & Mystic body.

I also have a 28m and in terms of length they're pretty much the same. The 28m body has wider hips and a larger chest, so in those areas the clothing won't fit. Personally, those are the areas which bother me the most if they're too loose or too tight, so my Grant Phillipe won't be able to share clothes with my Arsene.

      • x 1
    8. @ATBryant oh thanks so much that's very helpful! Looks like the body is pretty similarly proportioned by my boy on a Nidum Dolls body so that's good news!
and wow, that is lucky finding a trade like that!

    9. I was going to ask about waiting times, but I see somebody else already did. Thank you for the answer, and WOW! Over a year of waiting time. I am very tempted on ordering Amanda, but I'm not sure if I will after reading about the long waiting times.

What happens if you move during than time? Can you change your address. Have somebody had have this happend before?

    10. I ordered with BJDivas so I would think if you move you can let them know your new address to ship it to. So far I don't plan on moving unless I win the lottery.

    11. I know this must exist somewhere, and I feel super dumb for not being able to find it, but is there:

      A. An image showing how the different dollshe resin colors compare to each other

And b. An image comparing resin colors between companies that includes dollshe?

    12. <3 It's been so quiet that P wanted to break the lull.

    13. Just over two years wait nearly finished for me—BJDivas confirms your address before they send you your doll. I was a student and have since moved. Twice. So, I sent them my updated address.

On a related note, anyone have recommendations for wigs, shoes, or eyes for fashion Diana? Clothes I can make, and I can probably hash out a temporary wig, but I’m hopeless with shoes or eyes.

    14. @rebeccag12363 Congrats! Diana is so gorgeous, I kind of put one on order a couple months ago. :sweat Wish I could help with the recommendations. I can only tell they are similar in size to minifee from the size comparions on Flickr.

Our dolls must have been shipped to them the same time. BJDivas sent my Khan yesterday. He should be here Saturday. After a couple days of quarantine I will open him. :sighHorrible, nasty pandemic.

    15. Still waiting for my David to come home, don't know when that will be.......been working my a@#$ off and no time to play with my resin dolls at all, don't want them to get this @*^$# virus at all! My skin is so dry from scrubbing each day

    16. Well, she's home! and I did a fairly quick faceup with the supplies I have... my spray sealant didn't make it the last time I moved, apparently, so I sponged on brush-on sealant instead because... I'm impatient! and the result is kind of shiny, but doesn't look too awful. I'll redo it once more spray sealant comes. And her eyes are still in the post as well, so these are some quick paper ones drawn to make extra sure I had the right iris size... Anyway, meet Mara!

The only thing I have on hand that fits her is a single pair of sunglasses. I have my work cut out for me!

    17. @rebeccag12363 Congrats!! I am wondering if Tonner Tyler or Ellowyne stuff would fit? I have some of those for my Chicline girls, and they are only a centimeter shorter than Diana. Don't know for sure though.

    18. I’m wondering that too. I’ve used a Tonner sized pattern for my soul doll girl to great result, but the collar was designed for a larger neck and head. Looks fine on a soulkid, their heads are smaller than usual but still proportionally bigger than a human It looked like it was eating poor Diana! Also she really doesn’t have an hourglass figure — she’s got narrow hips and comparatively broad shoulders and her waist is noticeably much lower than my other dolls when she wears their clothing. The waist height is gonna throw off the fit to a lot of stuff, I expect.

    19. Hello!
Is there any information about how Erica, Ausley and Amanda correlate with each other in size? Are they of the same size (I mean skull size, not the circumference for wig fitting) or someone is bigger than another one?

    20. Does anyone have a doll in any of the greys? Particularly the honey grey options?

    21. Sorry that I can't help with the 2 previous questions. I'm waiting for Amanda, Diana, and Bernard. I ordered Amanda in March and Diana and Bernard just in early August. I am prepared for long waits but since it's been 6 months since I ordered Amanda I sent Dollshe Craft an email asking if they can tell me when she will be shipped. I thought that I'd post the reply on this thread in case others who are also waiting are interested.

Sorry for the delay in delivery. The replication schedule is being delayed due to a surge in order quantity. I want to hire a new employee to prepare for fast delivery.
      Please wait a little longer.

      Have a wonderful day.

      Sincerely yours,
      DollShe Craft

    22. I stumbled upon Ausley literally today and while she's not in the 'plans', the current sale is so tempting.

Does anyone have experience with both the honey and the pure skins in terms of their differences, pros/cons? Is the Honey french resin-ish?

She's crazy different aesthetics from my other dolls and so I'm a bit tempted to step out of the 'safe' zone in terms of resin...

    23. @twylight I don't have a lot of experience with the honey vs pure skins, but I did see honey skin at a doll meet a few years ago. It looks nice in the SD size, but odd in MSD. It seems to be too much translucence for the smaller dolls. That is IMHO, though. I hope others have info for you too! :)

I have a question of my own: For the few people to got Diana with the ballet feet-could someone tell me the length and width of them, please? I know there aren't a lot of them out there still. :sweat

      • x 1

    24. <3 Thank you for your thoughts! I did some intense photo research ;) and discovered the same thing you mentioned - it seems too translucent on the smaller dolls, so I went with the pure skin. :)

Ordered an Ausley, was SUPER tempted to order a Diana as she's lovely but in the ended decided against it. Still, excited for the Ausley whenever she might get here. Gives me time to finish my other dolls.

    25. @redmaiko Can't help with the Diana ballet foot length, but the width, if it's anything like her heel feet, is probably 2cm.

Anyone know how well Evangeline Ghastly heel shoes fit these ladies? I have no idea if anyone else has fashion Diana with heel feet to test it out, but maybe an idea of how they fit the larger ladies would give me some ideas. Turns out I am a miserable doll cobbler.

    26. @rebeccag12363 Thank you! I don't completely trust Dollshe's measurements. :sweat

    27. @rebeccag12363 Evangeline's sandals are not really suitable for Diana's feet. The arch is too steep and, you probably could not get a hard shoe on at all. When I put on a whole doll they didn't hold up to the stress.:pout:

      DIANA BOX OPENING

      • x 3
    28. Thanks for posting the box opening pics @Richie. Do you mind if I ask how long you had to wait for your Diana?

    29. @Richie Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like my best bet is going to be to practice making shoes... or else befriend some shoe-making elves.

@Hmac58 I had to wait almost exactly 25 months for my Diana.

    30. From the comparison pics I have seen on Flickr, I have to have something here that will already fit Diana. Dollshe always makes big feet and they look around the size of minifee. They look to be larger than Tonner feet (I use those shoes on my Chicline). It's only been about 6 months since I ordered her, so it will be a while. Anyway...I am rambling now. I shouldn't even be thinking about Diana as I still have a long wait I am sure.

    31. @rebeccag12363 Yikes! That's the longest Dollshe wait that I've heard about. I won't hold my breath for mine.

    32. @Hmac58 I placed the order on June 5th, 2017 and received her on February 24th 2020. So it took 32 months. Mind that she was in the first order after the initial release.

I ordered fashion Monica Bellucci on December 27th, 2017. That's 34 months and counting.*_*

      • x 1
    33. Obviously a great deal of patience is needed to deal with Dollshe. @Richie I love the idea of the Monica Bellucci doll but have never been able to even find a pic of one anywhere. Have you?

    34. IF there are pictures of Monica I would love to see them, once I do see any I know I would love to order her, but I am still waiting for my Fashion David Knucci so the wait times seem endless......

    35. @Hmac58 The Monica Bellucci sculpt has not been announced as finished yet. There is a page where you can order her. I am sure Dollshe will more than do her justice. Also, there's the promise of a new 26F body. I really need a pose-plus female to match my other Dollshe men. I am coming up on three years wait time for her, but MB is such a beautiful woman that I'm hanging in there! :drool

    36. Thanks @Richie. I agree, if anyone can do Monica Bellucci justice it's Dollshe :3nodding:

    37. Marco, Lisa and Leo have been added to the Fashion Maxi size. I would love to have Leo, but I don't want to wait 5 years for a doll.

    38. Oof I'd LOVE to have Marco, but I totally agree on the waiting time. That'll be a no from me.

    40. @pinkandyellow It's for real, but good luck getting him within 2 years. I have 3 Dollshe orders and have been waiting 21 months, 13 months, and 6 months for them with no end in sight for any of them. If you don't mind the wait, then go for it!!

(Edited because I've actually been waiting longer than I thought!)

    41. I hope they're good at keeping in contact so you can change the information on file if anything changes! Imagine ordering a doll and then moving. >.<

What about this sketch group thing? It's says 3 months; do they mean that?

    42. I would really hope so! Luckily I have the option to have mine shipped to my parents' house, since I've moved a few times and gotten married since I ordered!

I don't trust the 3 months unfortunately. ***The last time there was a sketch order was 3? years ago and none of those have shipped.*** Apparently I was thinking of the order made dolls! Not sketch preorders!!

The waiting room is a good place to check wait times. The wait list is on the first page.

    43. @Thymeseer There were other sketch orders besides the recent five? In the grand scheme of things I could still be considered a Dollshe newbie, so I am curious. I only knew about the order made ones. :?:sweat

      • x 1
    44. @redmaiko Shoot I went and looked and I was thinking of the order made ones! My mistake!!! Good catch.

    45. No worries! I was wondering if I had missed something! :) I have seen a Leonardo Dicaprio on Flickr, and I have the two Johnny Depp Fashion heads, but I haven't seen the others. I am pretty sure there are one or two people waiting for Monica for several years now. :(

    46. Hmmmm... maybe I'll do a sketch group, then! An exciting, totally new doll, for super cheap.... sounds fun!

Hmmm... it says on the website, "We will offer the opportunity for early investment on development of prototype and purchase the doll at discounted rate of 50% before its official release." But the normal price says $732, and the discounted price is $170. Definitely less than 50%... does that mean one would have to pay more later?

    47. I would ask Dollshe if you would have to pay more later, heck the $170 for the doll better be the sale price cause the wait times seems like forever and a day, going on 2yrs when 4/18/2021 comes for my Fashion David to come home.....

    48. the sale continues to tempt me but the style of dollshe is SO different to my other dolls. Does anyone happen to have a photo of the dollshe minis alongside non fashion style dolls? I have a fair few msd but they're all more typical "Slim msd" rather than the "fashion" scale of dollshe and Granado etc. I'm wondering HOW out of place one would look alongside the bigger headed crew.

      • x 2
    49. @purple_monkfish Extremely out of place! You own DiM right? I can try and put together a comparison of my DollShe King Corey and DiM Benetia. They are the exact same height, and the exact same... nothing else. I don’t think you could even try and pretend they worked together. I have them as separate crews, myself!

      • x 2
    50. Lol that's what I thought. Yeah I have some DIM, impldoll, resinsoul, doll chateau, doll leaves, dollzone and dream valley. All are big heads for sure.

I'd still love to see the comparison though, just to see how the fashion scale dolls actually LOOK in the er... resin.. so to speak hah.

    51. @purple_monkfish Here you go:
Entirely incompatible, it's not even just that the head is big, it's that Dollshe bodies have an entirely different style to typical MSD, including slim MSDs.

I was lucky enough that when I purchased mine, 4 or 5 years ago, I got him in five months. Given the way things are with DollShe now, I don't know if I could recommend settling in for the ride these days. But if you do, they really are exceptional dolls. Had he managed to see that Fashion Mini line through, I would have made one more purchase, but I noped out of that after a year of waiting and cancelled my order - I made the right call it seems.

      • x 2
    52. yeah I had a dollshe molly briefly and she was beautifully constructed. But the wait time is horrible.

thanks for pics! helps me visualise how the dollshe dolls are proportioned.

    53. I have an old picture of my Saint with some slightly less big-headed 1/4 dolls (Resinsoul Tang body/Batchix head and Souldoll Soulkid). The 18M body compared to the slightly more realistic sculpts aren't as badly mismatched, but I definitely look at Saint next to others and think "His head could fit inside theirs". The Dollshe heads are even a lot smaller than Iplehouse FID. I do wish they were a hair bigger to offset the bulk of clothing on the big shoulders.

      • x 5
    54. Lol Saint looks so concerned, like he's worried the other two are gonna hurt him.
      Poor pinheaded boy.

      What wonderfully expressive hands though.

    55. For some context, my Diana looks in-scale with my 1/6 fashion Momonita. I mean, they look like different species -- Momonita looks like a halfling, Diana looks human -- but they have the same size head. They can swap wigs (my first pictures of Diana have her wearing my Momonita's spare wig) and could probably swap eyes without it being *too* weird (Momonita needs a slightly larger iris size but it could still work) but neither look right next to my more typically 1/4 scale MYOU Delia or Soulkid Yeon soo.

Sadly I'm out of town right now so I can't snap any photos... but the scale of Dollshe dolls is definitely something different.

    56. I finally have my Ausley in a wig and dressed in something that her character would actually wear! Still no shoes, but we take what we can get in this house.
I desperately want other dolls in her scale. I'm considering trying a Dollmore fashion guy or gal.

    57. I would still like to find some nice dresses for my Amanda to wear, but I don't know where to look, any help is greatly appreciated.

    58. Found that my Raouken corsets for my MNF girls also work well enough on the small bust for the fashion Dollshe size girls.

    59. Decided I'd have more fun with my Diana if I redid her faceup and let her become her own character rather than the one I'd been trying to force on her. She looks a lot more pleased with short dark hair (stolen from my Momonita - I need to order her her own!) and some more modern clothes. Go figure.

I sent an etsy message to Elenpriv, who makes gorgeous doll clothes, to try and figure out what size Diana might need. I'm good enough at sewing shirts and dresses, but really this doll needs better jeans than what I can manage. As far as shoes... she can kinda share sandals with my other dolls, which tells me some smaller slim msd shoes might work. I don't have a lot of doll shoes, though, so I can't really test that.
