Dollmore Kid discussion part 4

I've had the Latte girl on my wish list since the release. Love her face so much

I've decided to go for her over Vian. But I'd like to get her on a Judith girl body. I'd like to make her part of my Furry family I think, so she'll be a mix between human and some kind of animal. Currently she's just on my wish list. I don't know yet when I can order her.

My sweet Owen (Dollmore Pado) wanted to remind his fellow Americans to vote today:

 

It was nice changing from her clownish goth style and back to her ballet outfit.

Since I got her, Leah have just been Leah. I haven't really had any character for her. But all it took was to turn one of her eyes around to figure out her character

I guess she's more of a blind ghostly character rather than a dark and Goth one. Not exactly a ghost but she's a half blind medium who love everything sweet, old and ghostly.

There is updated pictures for boy and girl Torrie. They look so cool

The Torrie sculpt is one of my favorites. But I have no reason to get one even though I would very much love to. But I wouldn't know what to do with a Torrie character. And I don't know if it would fit in with any of my dolls. I guess all I can do is admire the sculpt.

Have anyone ever had a bjd sculpt before that they really liked even though it would be difficult to fit it in with the other dolls or giving it a character?

 

I missed my chance at getting a Catish Doll - Vnu. Wonder if Torrie could make a good Neko girl character.

 

Hello everyone. I've become sentimental recently, really missing the sweet wind memory torrie I had years ago. I remember really loving her body. Her ears were annoying, and the white skin was stark. Contemplating trying a dollmore kid again though, maybe in normal or tan, or maybe a hybrid with a different head...

 

There are a lot of heads to choose from now! I love the normal skin.

 

I was just looking at the website. Jeemin is so cute! And is the Judith body the same but with big boobs? Is the ballet body the same but point feet? So many options!
EDIT: answered my own questions- Judith body is way different. Not for me. Ballet body is basically the same looking but with more cut away around her rear so the legs can flex backward.

I still like the good ol kid body

 

You can buy ballet feet for the regular body!

 

I can relate to how you feel. I feel that way often about my Vian girl... Once in a while I feel I maybe should get her again. But I'm also unsure if I should.

But I've had my eyes on the Latte girl for a while. A tanned Vian cat character with white dollpire hands and white feets would have been pretty cool to

I'd really love to have another dollmore kid one day. But I don't know what to choose

 

I have just ordered the "Snow Blossom Vian" I came to a point where I missed my old Vian girl too much... The past days that have been I've been looking at all the Vian girls on Dollmore, especially the pink skin Vian. I like how her skin tone and face-up makes her look more mature. I can't believe I finally ordered a Vian (happy tears)

I don't know If I can call the fox my soul/ spirit animal. I'm not like the people who call them selves "Otherkin", and identifies as different kinds of animal species. I identify as a human, but I've had a serious fox obsession for quite a while now and my Fursona is a fox. The fox is everything to me these days. It's fox this, fox that The Snow Blossom Vian is a Kitsunemimi girl and she's my favorite Dollmore Kid sculpt. So I was sold!

Do anyone know if Dollmore Kid Snow Blossom Vian pink skin is the same as Catish Pink Fluxus Reaa pink skin? I'd love to order her Dollpire hands.

I asked them if it were the same. This is the answer I got. No mention if it were the same or not

Any if y'all happen to also have a Resinsoul MSD that you could take comparison pics with? I know Resinsoul has several different bodies...with several different neck sizes. I loved the dollmore kid body so much when I had it I'd love to get another but I've been taken in by some Resinsoul sculpts. I'm having a hard time finding any recent discussion of possible hybrids. Poor neglected dollmore kids..

 

Hope my Vian ships soon. Can't wait to get her home. I've missed having a Vian so much!

My Dollmore Kid crew I'm a huge Dollmore Kid fan Snow Blossom Vian, the newest member. Haven't found her a name yet. Had to put putty under her shoes to keep her from falling. My Aidan twins (Abby and Dorian). And last Ciel girl (Rave). 3 girls and 1 boy.

The crew isn't complete though without one kid in tan skin and one kid in white skin. And Dorian can't be the only boy so..

 

@manabusama, what a gorgeous crew! That Vian is utterly amazing...love, love, love her! Oh yes, more...you need more so you can share them with us and I can live vicariously through your wonderful collection!

 

2 more Dollmore Kids at least. One tan and one white skin. I am already planning the next Dollmore kid. A dollie addict never rests, always enjoying the hobby And I need a Pado in the crew so I'm thinking about getting the Sleepy Eyes Suntan Pado boy. But before I can order him, I have a KDF who really needs a boyfriend!

I looked through so many names, including fox names. I named my Vian "Evie". I think that name is really cute on her

 

Vian is lovely! There is definitely room for two or more kids on the shelf!

I just had to try something else on her. Maybe recreate my old Vian's snow demon look just for fun. I think I'm gonna keep her as a snow fox spirit/ kitsunemimi girl, but trying on new styles is fun

Ok, Last pictures of Evie. I love the clip on ears that came with her outfit. But it looks more like bear ears than fox ears. Still super cute

 

@manabusama - your Vian is lovely! I like the fullset look, but I adore her more casual look also. Where did you get those horns for her? They're amazing. And I'm happy to see that you were able to get another Vian, after missing your old one so much.

 

Thank you I prefer the casual look better. Doubt she'll be using the fullset look much. She's just so cute in that other outfit. I know someone on Etsy who makes faux fur tails for BJDs. Currently she's having a little break though. I don't really see her as a fox anymore so I'm thinking about getting her a white curled husky tail. I don't know what animal species she is other than that she's a winter half beast or something. My old Vian was a snow demon.

I'm finishing up a Marketplace transaction to bring home a Suntan Paran. It's my first Dollmore Kid girl. Any recommendations for clothing brands that fit the girl body?

@skyealloway - this is a bit late, but are you still interested in ResinSoul MSD vs. Dollmore Kid bodies? I have multiple RS MSD dolls (boys and girls), 2 DM Kid boys, and will shortly have a DM Kid girl. I could take a few photos for you.

Congrats Paran is so cute Well Luts shoes and outfits fit very well. And Outfits from Alice's Collections. Alice's Collections have so much of BJD stuff. It's my no.1 place to go for clothes.Their shoes however are to small/ tight for Dollmore and Luts kids. Some might fit though. But Luts have a lot of shoes that fit.

@lilly22 only if it's not too inconvenient. I'm not actively looking to get a new doll anytime soon but could be a new doll on the wishlist

 

I also really need a tanned Dollmore Kid I have a girl Ciel in normal skin, and a boy and girl Aidan (discontinued Dollmore Kid sculpt) in normal skin. And my newest, girl Vian in pink/ snow blossom skin.

I should get a boy though because I have 3 girls and only 1 boy. I really really love the Sleepy Eyes Suntan Pado! But I feel my Dollmore Kid crew is not complete without a white skin boy or girl. And they are limited so I guess a white skin one will have to be prioritized.

 

My Ujee, Morgan, got a new face-up! Hopefully this will encourage me to take more pictures of them!

You're very lucky to own an Ujee. Nice face-up If Dollmore had re-released both Ujee and Calvin I'd have had a hard time resisting to buy them!

@manabusama --Thank you! I don't own a lot of minis, but that little Ujee face was just too irresistible. It's those little teeth that get me every single time! I'm so sad that Dollmore stopped making Ujee and Calvin, because they really are too cute for words.

 

Osaka There is one person on DeviantArt who have both Ujee and Calvin. I first time saw the pictures of them there many years ago. And I really loved them! But you never think the day will come that a company discontinue some of their bjd sculpts. I could have bought them if I hadn't been so slow, but I prioritized other bjds You're really lucky that you at least got Ujee. It's an awseome sculpt

I knew I wanted to get either an Ujee or a Calvin to play with my best friend's dolls, since they only had minis. I finally settled on Ujee--those teeth-- and I've had him almost 11 years now. I feel bad, he's one of my favorites and I barely have any pictures of him! I play with him a lot, though. There's a bunch of Dollmore dolls that I've missed out on over the years--I probably should get Pado and Paran before they disappear too!

 

This is a Calvin I had. I thought he was super-cute.

 

Oh, Johnny was such a cutie! I really do miss those old Dollmore sculpts, all big eyes and the very best noses. ^3^

I too am into those older dolls. I have seen Calvin on the secondhand market once in a while. I also admired the more recent Vora sculpt, but it was discontinued, too. Now I'm loving Geoul and Sora. I've always been a fan of Dollmore, and I love that they have so much variety. Wouldn't it be nice if they could just whip up an old doll on request, too.

 

Hehe, I'm jealous of both of you! I know that sooner or later all companies must discontinue some sculpts in order to create new sculpts. But Dollmore is the company I hated most to see sculpts go. There were something about their old sculpts that I loved so much! Nowadays BJD companies obsesses so much over creating the most perfect looking dolls over uniqueness, like Ujee and Calvin. But I guess Dollmore have always been good at creating unique dolls and give us a lot of variety.

I'm glad I at least have my Ciel girl though before this sculpt also get discontinued. And I have my Aidan twins who were discontinued a couple of years ago. Joshua I was real sad to see go. But I never got any further than to just look at owner pictures of her. I kinda regret not getting her.

Pado is one of the sculpts that I really must get. I really really love the sleepy eyes normal skin Pado. I've loved him for quite a while. But in my mind I should get the suntanned sleepy eyes Pado because my Dollmore Kid collection misses a tanned kid. So I have a big big dilemma

Talking about discontinued sculpts, I just remembered I have a Renee head in a box. But I'm unsure what to do with it. I probably should get it a body before it yellows any more!

 

I tried to re-upload a picture in a prior Dollmore kid thread, which I transfered from my old Photobucket account to my newer Flickr one, but failed to do so. Positive thing is, it also rekindled exactly what I fell in love with in his sculpt.
So, here´s the 1st picture I posted of my Vian boy shortly after his arrival:

He's adorable! I have a Sona girl and a Zinna ballerina kid. The only good thing about the photobucket debacle is that I went through a lot of old photos and realized how many of my kids have no pictures!

I don't know what it is about Dollmore kids, but they are so addictive! I know that my next Dollmore kid should be a suntanned boy because three of my kids are in normal skin, and one are in snow blssom pink skin. But the boy Cecile are so adorable, and I really like the boy sleepy eyes Pado!

I have a feeling I gotta dedicate a whole shelf to Dollmore Kids so that I have room for a couple more.

 

My girl is a hybrid, so I hope she's still welcome here, but I haven't seen any other Momos in quite awhile so I thought I would share (maybe not since I last posted mine years ago)! Her company photos are uuuuh. Not the most flattering.
