@AntarelNefertili - Thank you for the resin comparison info. I bought a dfh body in normal yellow to match a head that is close to loongsoul normal yellow but slightly yellower. I was worried when it was apparent that dfh fixed their normal pink and that it might have been the better choice but maybe I did pick the correct colour if it is still obviously pink. Though I noticed one dealer that had imported and non imported resin colour options for dfh, so I guess there is a chance the colour I got wont match as well as I think (the dealer I ordered from did not have the options)...

 

Hi! Question, does DFA-H Lou Yunci fit DFA-H 68cm body? Does it not look awkward? Like the head looks awkwardly bigger than the body?

 

Lou Yunci is sold with the 68cm body as default for what I saw, so it should fit well?

May I ask about MSDs here? I wanted to see if anyone owning the 41cm v2 girl body would double check the neck circumference for a hybrid I want to do... site says 8cm but I'd love a second opinion!

Well, I finally took the plunge and decided to order a Doll Family H boy body (DF-H 1/3 Boy Body Ver.4 56CM) for a supiadoll lina head at some point to finally make a lina boy I've wanted for like 10+ years LOL. I'm really hoping the proportions and size are okay given that it's a more petite boy body. I ordered the body in NS pink (Supiadoll NS is more peachy/has a bit more yellow, so the head may need some extra pink blushing, but I think I can manage it) and plan to get the supia head in NS.

I couldn't find anyone who had done something similar, so I'll make sure to post some pictures when I get the body. I might end up with the body before the head, but I can put my NS supiadoll haeun on it to see how the resins/sizes compare.

 

Congrats! DF-H's stuff is really nice quality, especially for the price. They also do really good resin matching too so if you want to do an exact match in the future, try that service out!

Does anyone have a Scylla? Kind of curious about the head but want like more angles than the sales pics.

 

DF-H has two new bodies. A 62cm body and a 72cm body. I really like the looks of both of them. I just wish the 72cm body was more like 70cm.

In my opinion, he is very different from the company's photo. Sculpt is realistic (and now is the most realistic my doll despite pretty simple faceup).
If you say what angles you need, I can do it.

Alas. Scylla is pretty but I don't think he will fit for the character I had in mind.

But I'm excited about the new 72cm body. It's so hard to find 70cm range dolls that don't have too much muscle definition. I'm glad I didn't talk myself into settling for a body before this came out or I'd be kicking myself. Time to get saving.

 

got my 65cm boy body in tan in the other day!! i love it!! it’s a terrible match for the head i originally got it for but im on the fence about keeping the head anyway lol



i got the imported tan resin and my only question is, is dfh imported resin always so shiny or does my boy just need like...a good clean or something? It’s not a big deal, just not what im used to since all my dolls so far have come to me pretty matte

 

@nanaminore - I have one of their msd bodies in this resin colour and it is also shiny like. I think it is the type of resin they use. Really nice to see this body can do this pose. Im waiting on the two part 65cm body to arrive soon and also for a little rebel hybrid.

 

i just ordered a blank Chad doll in white resin, anyone that has the white could you tell me if it's like stark paper white or more natural?

 

Actually, it's not the type of resin, it's the mold. Or more precisely the master object. if they polished it up nicely, the mold will produce polished resin. You can probably take some very fine sand paper and take away the shine. Too fine, you can increase the shine. I'm not sure myself what number to use, but I thought I'd share what I know about casting :/

@Enchiridion Um, it's got a VERY slight creaminess to it?


We have left to right DF-A, Supiadoll and DF-H . Before laying them out together I thought they were all paper white. DF-A is the whitest, Supia has a slight tint and finally DF-H is just a tad darker than Supiadoll. Photos are never great and it totally depends on the monitor, but it seems DF-H has a very slight color to it?

@nanaminore I can confirm that the tan is supposed to be shiny. The non-imported normal yellow is also on the shiny side, so I guess it's just a characteristic of the company.

 

I've been eyeballing Doll Family H dolls for a while, and I finally ordered Chad. Was going to originally get Agares or Yuzhou, but in the end, I wanted to go for something different. I also may or may not be curious about these new body parts.

 

I just got mail from Cloversinging that my Youguang was shipped so it's actually a little more than 4 months wait for me (ordered him in early November during the 11.11 sales).
It's funny cause I was thinking about him and I wanted to ask if there were any news, than this morning I saw the mail and I was so hyped! Can't wait to get him.

Yeah!! I was honestly super surprised when I got my shipping notice??? I didn’t expect him for the next 1 or 2 months at least, seeing how much the wait usually is for DF-H. I am pretty happy, can’t wait to see him!
But I must say that until now all the dolls I ordered with Cloversinging came faster than I expected, I dunno if I’m just lucky or she’s really faster than other dealers.

 

Hey guys, short question!
I ordered a 75cm body from them, and while they were willing to do my desired color (a darker gray than their standard gray), they sadly couldn't make the transparent lower arms and hands I had hoped for.

I know that Resinsoul and Impldoll do transparent resin, and had hoped they would be willing to just sell me separate parts too.
Does anyone here have one of their big bodies (72cm for RS, Idol for Impl) and can tell me whether it would be possible to swap lower arms (with or without joint)?
In case of the Idol bodies a full arm swap might be possible too, but getting those arms to match color wise to the torso might be difficult (but still an option if the Impl forearm won't work with the DF upper arm). Wish I could find more detailed measurements at least!

Right now the arms from this Impl body are my favorite, because they are similar enough in shape compared to the DF body:

I'm having some clothes commissioned for a 75cm DF-H Body, but I don't have the body in hand yet. Does anyone know how fast their turn around usually is?

 

Last weekend I finally got my Youguang on the 68cm body. What can I say... I'm in love! He's so handsome, even bald he looks good it took only 4 months for him to be shipped, I was quite surprised.

@Jayoen I guess you got your answer from Rurimas But for most companies functioning normally, it does take about 4 months, but I've found that due to Covid, it's been taking longer. Though that might be getting better now

 

Hello! I just sent in my layaway request for a DF-H Nox a few days ago and was wondering if anyone else has ordered him and if they have photos of his head blank by any chance. I ordered him with a generic faceup to start with, but eventually I intend to redo it since I'm styling him after one of my D&D characters and the blanks would be a nice reference point to think about how I'd like to do the faceup and ask for advice from my very experienced sibling-in-law.

For anyone interested, here's some art of the character he's going to be styled into! (Art 1, Art 2) I've ordered some modern style clothes in his size and color palette to dress him in when he arrives but I'd like to be able to make him clothes like some of the ones I've designed for him in my D&D campaign (which I look forward to sharing here when I have the chance to make them in the future).

Thank you! Yeah, recently I have been thinking about examples of real life faces for a 3D examples of his face shape and then I found the listing for Nox and his head mold is so perfect I could cry! I'm really looking forward to making clothes for him since I get to fully realize all the fun clothing design ideas I have for my character.

Oh Wow! I love your artist's depictions of him! Nox is such an amazing sculpt, he'll be perfect as an elf. And, I'm sure he'll be hot in modern clothes, too!

So I was going to get just a body from DF-H for my new floating head, but ACBJD had the new dolls on 15% off, making a full doll cheaper than just the body So I just ordered a Hong Zhao

The DF-H 65cm body I ordered arrived today. I bought it for my rosy white Switch Milhwa head, so ordered the body to be resin matched. The match is pretty spot on and the proportions aren't to bad. The head feels a little bit pin-headed on the body, but with a wig and clothes that'll probably help mask that. The head has a good range of motion as well.

Now to decide on a face-up and artist and I can hopefully get another doll finished this year.

 

Cloudedmind, congrats on getting the 65cm body. I'm a big fan of that body.

It would be great to see pixs of the head and body match with the Switch and DF-H.

 

@Rabbit-moon This is my first DF-H body, and it is rather nice. It's a little kicky and wants to curl up, but after the strings loosen a bit hopefully that'll lessen.

If I have time this weekend, I'll try to take some pictures.

Hello everyone, does anyone know if the imported pink resin looks the same as the Chinese pink resin?

I got an floating head in Chinese pink resin but wanted to buy a whole doll in imported resin.

 

I just saw that until 5/9 DFH has free resin matching when I was idly browsing Alice Collections

Gosh I was gonna hold off on a body I wanted but now I am wondering if I might just swing it now.

RIP. Transparent is too weird to go under the resin matching umbrella and costs $120.

Back to not as much hurry to get the body again. lol

 

@IngieBee I have the DF-H 63 cm girl body in tan resin on her way to me right now, she's already made it into the US and should hopefully arrive within the next few days. I'll take some photos when she arrives and will post them to the thread, along with my first impressions!

OK, free color AND jointed hands or heeled legs, I had to order. I put the body on layaway, and I only had 1 day to get the order in, so I contacted them with my order to hopefully receive an invoice tonight. I sure hope they work on weekends at Alice's collections

@IngieBee Yay!!! That's an awesome deal, I'm sure that Alice's will take care of you. I'll still plan to post photos and a quick "review" once my 63 cm girl body arrives, but I don't think that we're going to be disappointed, I feel pretty confident in DF-H's engineering and aesthetics

 

@Gamine I have never had a DF-H doll before and most people seem to have the boys here (as @Rurimas said, the girls are more recent) Unfortunately, I'm getting the body for a Fairyland head, which is also why I needed resin matching. It's an older F65 sculpt.

 

Ordered a DF-H Hong Zhao on Friday (couldn’t resist due to the Event deal . Plus I needed a new shell for a character anyway). She’s in the imported tan. Does anyone know how it compares to Resinsoul coffee? I’m expecing it to be a lit darker and less yellowy-olive than the characters current shell, which is in RS Coffee skin.

Not sure if we can mention off-topic dolls but if anyone knows how it compares to Smart Doll Tea I’d also appreciate it! (if this isn’t allowed, let me know and I can remove this bit) or if theres anywhere better to ask please redirect me
