DollFamily -H and -A mini dolls discussion

I realized belatedly that my Yue Jian's face suits one of my other characters better, so now Ezra is going to be Orion instead! (Not sure who my previous Orion is going to be yet.) To celebrate, here's a pic I took of him today that looks vaguely like he is plotting my untimely demise.



I so love this boy's expression.

On another note, does anyone have pics of DF-A's Julian or Wind (elf) with custom face-ups? I'm contemplating getting one of them in the future, but I'd prefer my own take on their faces.

@xyuemoto Thanks! I made his necklace myself, and the wig just ended up suiting the character perfectly!

I still need to give him his tattoo and manicure at some point, but for right now, I'm pretty happy.

Did a trade, got in some new clothes, and I think I've found a style I love on my girl Kandy I'm just digging the plunging neckline. The dress came with a shirt to wear under it, but I'm thinking no xD I was planing on going a more emo look for her. Any ideas on how to get this to lean more towards it?

As an aside...if only it wasn't a forever wait to order additional parts. I'm already waiting on heel feet for her but the hands in the same style are killing me. The jointed hands just look funny and I'm thinking of selling the two sets that I have of them.

 

@Peneyofdeath - What if you choose different colour and/or style for the buttons and that ribbon belt?

 

@xyuemoto That's a cool idea. I just grabbed a spiked collar that fit noone and added some length to the chain, so spiked belt xD. Cut the fingers off some slightly too big gloves to give her some fingerless things. Maybe I can find some skull buttons with red to tie in the shoes....

 

A while back I noticed DF-A discontinued most of their 1/4 sculpts (or at the very least they disappeared from Alice's Collections), but now they are all gone from ACBJD except for a chubby BB. Did DF-A just completely discontinue their 40cm line?

 

The regular msd line still shows up on Alice’s Collections for me.

edit: Scratch that, I was looking at DFH. Try emailing AC? They’re still listed on LegendDoll

 

AC has confirmed, the 40cm line was completely discontinued.

However, they said DF-A plans to release new 40cm dolls.

 

Thanks for the info, I'm kinda glad I ordered DFA's Julian before too late now, but it'll be a pain to replace his head if I ever need to. Heck.

 

My DF-H Nan Xing head came in the mail on Friday. I ordered it from Alice’s Collections back in May. I plan on hybrid in her onto a Doll Leaves dream body, when I get around to buying her one, but for now she’s sharing with another head I have at home.

anyways, I did her faceup tonight! I’m really happy with how she turned out! I hope you guys like her, too. I named her Iris.

I bought one of the Doll Family A practice heads from Alice's Collections and was wondering what kind of body fit on it. For reference, this is the head. I've asked in the Large Dolls forum but it sounds like this head might be for an MSD body.

 

@SaltedPretzel It wears a 7" wig and I've had a few myself, they are definitely MSD size and very cute. I had mine on Dollzone bodies.

My DF-H 1/4 Girl body ver. II in Normal Yellow came in yesterday after a year of waiting and finally finishing my layaway. And it is even more beautiful than I thought It's my new favorite MSD body! And the jointed hands are so wonderfully! It's perfect....

...Except like i thought, it is waaay too yellow for my hybrid But luckily, DF-H offers resin matching so I'm gonna sell this body and the jointed hands (It'll be listed on the marketplace probably later today) and request a color matched one instead.

I'm also considering the v2 girl body with an Unoa faceplate. Would anyone be willing double check their body's neck circumference for me? The site says 8cm but I'd really love a second opinion. Or any photos of an unoa head next to/on a DFH body. DFH heads seem to be in the 18cm range so I'm worried about the head looking way too small or not fitting at all...

 

I don't have an unoa but I put a head that takes a 5-6 wig on my df-a v2 body. Not sure if that's similar to a df-h v2 body, but if if is I'll measure and send pictures

 

@skyealloway wow a 5-6 head on the DFA body? I would love to see that even if it's not exact, it might help someone else too.

I have some nude pics of before I modder her wrists to fit smaller hands. Her neck is a bit on the long side, but depending on the angle it doesn't bother me much. I think with a collared outfit the neck length won't be as noticable

 

Popping into this thread because I recently ordered Yue Jian's halloween edition in the normal resin. I have a hard time finding male MSD boys that I like, so I'm super happy that he's on the way. I love his little ghost onesie too...

 

Does anyone have the df-h ver2 girl body? Where do you get clothes for her? I ordered it last month and I'm having the hardest time finding clothes that will fit

 

Is the DFH v2 girl body similar measurements to the DFA v2? If so, then clothes made for Raccoondoll and Iplehouse FID fit well.

 

I'm not sure as I can't find measurements for the dh-a v2 body since it's been discontinued...
The shoulders on the df-h body are a little more narrow than fid/raccoondoll. Sadly, I can't seem to find much for those dolls either. Thanks for the suggestions though.

 

Hi! Popping in here to ask a few questions, although I know this thread is a little sparse. I found a head by sheer accident that may be perfect for one of my characters! (Yue Jian!)

What is the difference between imported and non imported resin options? I presume imported is higher quality?

Anyone had any luck hybriding a head onto a minifee male body or a model delf? Specifically interested in Normal and tan comparisons! I know someone mentioned they do a resin match service, but I’m not sure how you’re supposed to request that?

 

@bliss5 Not sure if you're still looking and can't help with the different resin types of resin matching, but I've tried a Minifee NS head on DF-H normal pink, and while it's not an exact match, it's close enough to work IMO! Especially if the head is DF-H as it's a bit paler and pinker, so you could easily match it with a faceup.

If you're on Insta, I'm pretty sure @kosomolski_dolls has a Yue Jian, Minifees, and possibly one of the older Model Delf bodies and might be willing to try hybriding them for you?

 

Does anyone have the girl body v2 and could check if the neck girth really is 8 cm? I'd like to buy the body but the head I'm planning for it is 7 cm and I'm worried it might not fit. ^^;

 

does anyone know what clothes best fit the 46cm boy body? I'm also looking to hybrid but all of my clothes are minifee sized...

I’m wondering does anyone have any recent comparisons of DFH’s white, pink and yellow resins?

And also photos of Yuejian (Halloween) with these colours ;;

Would really like to order one with the official faceup but can’t tell whether white is like too “paper” white
or that pink is too pink unlike the photo below (i’ve heard of rumours being such)
and that yellow is a strong dark yellow (like the current product photos???)
Doesn’t help that different sources of the product photos have a completely different shade too ;;

 

Can anyone confirm if the DF-H 1/4 Boy Body Ver.3 (46cm) definitely has 6cm feet? Do regular msd shoes (6.5-6.8cm inside) fit okay? I'm worried they're too big for msd shoes but too small for SD shoes. I would love to hear others' experiences.

 

My Chiyu has the ver 3 body and he def has 6cm feet. I just tried two pairs of shoes on him and they both fit just fine! Some boots from Alice's Collections (inner 6.5) and sneakers from ebay I think

Also, has anyone seen anything about dfh having a dark tan before? This is the first time I've seen it! This was posted on CloversSinging's listings for their new 43/44cm bodies.

 

I asked her about it because if they've started doing dark tan, my wallet is gonna cry lol.

Oh wow, the comparison pictures make the old boy bodies look almost fat in comparison and I like the aesthetic of the new body more than the older muscular ones so this might settle the body my remaining bodiless head gets.

But the girl comparison actually confirmed what I already thought; I like the older girl body better.

 

I wonder if they have improved the torso joint.

Anyone has the new 35cm bodies? Are their torso joint the same as the older 1/4 bodies?

 

Love the comparison. I have their "soft" body and it's pretty chunky, which is why I bought it. it's a solid bit of resin and quite a bit more "normal" shaped than most msds which tend to be extremely slender or super ripped lol.

I like the new slender boy body though, it's making me consider if it might work for a doll leaves head I have here. But i'm not sure it's quite tall enough for what I want.

WOW the girl bodies are different. The old one has a much wider neck, which makes me wonder about compatibility of older heads on it.

 

So...I'm working on a male and female "set," Adrien Agreste and Marinette Dupang-Cheng from Miraculous Ladybug. I fell in love with Nan Xing for Adrienne, and went with Myou-Doll Ling Wei for Marinette...but I'm debating the new female body for Marinette now that it's out. What are people's general impressions of it, other than it's hard to find clothes?

Sorry I'm just seeing this! Wrist is about 4.25 cm--sorry, I didn't have a good means of measuring.

Does anyone have good reccomendations for shoes for muscular males?

 

I am not sure when the new girl body came out, I think it was recently...? Too new for anyone to have it yet, I'd assume, but if it's been out longer than that, I'd love to see any examples of it being used with heads from other companies - I'm especially curious about souldoll, since I am thinking of getting this for my Aehael head. ^^



I am debating what color I want to get the body in... I will have my doll head airbrushed to match, whatever I go with, but it seems dfh & dfa's tan resin is fairly close to myou doll coffee...? I found this photo on LittleRebel's website, it seems just a touch oranger/warmer but I don't know how old this photo is.

Just ordered a pink skin Niao Luo head with faceup I could not order a full doll at the moment, but she'll temporary be on a Dollmore girl body, and currently I'm waiting for a Luts order to ship with her wig, shoes, stockings and dress. She'll be my Luts Sweety Bliss's younger sister. Can't wait to get her

the "rounded" body? I have one for a DIM hybrid and it's not really chubby but it's pretty stocky. What a pity they discontinued it, it was unique. Male BJD bodies are really very samey, so whenever there's something a little different it's very exciting.

 

That's sad, the body would have been perfect for the shoushou Coco head I have ordered, especially since doll family h does color matching

Hey, quick question, but does anyone have both the Doll Family-H Slim girl body and a Minifee girl body they could post pictures of together? I love the DFH bodies so much and the Minifee body just gives me a headache sometimes, so I wanted to see if the aesthetic is a decent enough match for a hybrid. I know that the boy body works really well for hybrids, as I currently have two of my boys on the DFH body.

Also, I'd like some slightly taller girls, haha!

 

@Magnus Vale id love to see your hybrids on the DF-H bodies! I like minifee sculpts and their bodies but I find that their heads look to large in proportion for me so I’m curious how ur boys look!

Here are my red boys, they're the current hybrids I have! I think the proportions look much nicer than the minifee body.

 

Omg they’re so handsome! The proportions are def better than the minifee body you’ve inspired me to look into making my own hybrid haha

 

If you do, the white is nearly a perfect match for Fairyland's Beauty White, but you're going to want to go with normal yellow for Fairyland's normal skin! The Normal pink is a bit too pinky, but normal yellow is a really good match.
