Like a lot of the time I'll just have Niko or Fay just sit there next to my laptop (most of the time ontop of my research XD) while I do work... Just lounging there... my family find it a bit strange but yeah. Do any of you guys have your dolls keep you company while you do other things? (let's see some picture too^^)
I always have little Seven to keep me company When I'm at work (I'm a call center operator in part time) he always sitts on my table, playing with Jeffree Bear, or writing SMS to his girlfriend
These days Dani's been keeping me company because his box's been hijacked by the latest boy that joined the resin family. This is him chilling out next to my iPad while I'm checking out DOA: He's been holding onto an airway bill from Skynet, waiting for the safe arrival of a dolly we said goodbye to recently. ^_^ Oh! I had him next to me on Sunday while I was watching the Dollmaster. afsgkdfkdfddddff XD;;;;;;;;;;
Andrew is my newest and he is a very nice size to sit on my lap desk and keep me company while I surf the internet.
My darling Pip the puki is often caught just hanging around whatever it is I'm trying to get done. Here she's "helping" me bake.
Always! Chores are more fun with dollies around. Here's Gryffin, my DZ Megi, helping me make the programs for our church service: IMG_0928 by duckies_in_a_row, on Flickr And again keeping me company while I was washing the dishes: IMG_1254 by duckies_in_a_row, on Flickr Kotori, my DZ Tintan, is a HUGE help while knitting and crocheting: IMG_2199 by duckies_in_a_row, on Flickr And Gwendolyn, my Pukipuki Ante, always hangs out on my desk at work: Waiting by duckies_in_a_row, on Flickr Sorry for the picture explosion (not really), but I love showing off my little helpers!
Yunae often finds herself in everything and she's always with me. We went to the Hardrock Cafe and the waitress brought her her own little cup to drink out of. She loved it:
I almost always have one or two of them keeping me company while I use the computer. Here are a couple shots of how things are set up right now:
Hachi keeps me company all over the place! at my studio: next to my laptop at home: on the kitchen counter:
Um, always I often note that my desk could be much neater if I used their space for actual desk things, but I love that they're right there whenever I'm at my computer. If I'm ever working on one out in the living room, it feels weird to look up and notice he/she's missing!
As my dolls "live" on a shelf right next to my desk, they're pretty much always keeping me company when I'm using the computer, sewing or crafting.
Not only do they sit beside my workstation, Wiishu occasionally accompanies me into public (hangs head in shame.) Post Office In the Grocery Store
Acacia and I are very close. We watch Tv together, he's always with me on long drives, he and I are almost like the best of friends. Its nice to not have to feel so alone all the time.
I have this chair right next to my computer. I always have one of my girls with me. Lately, It's been Melody. She's a talker though so I'm not able to get much of anything done. Forget online shopping with her around, she wants everything.
omg all these posts are so cute I bring Kotelet to my friends' room, when i play video games or watch tv or play cards with them. They call him their nephew!
Wow, Kyle looks so good! Jacobean, I always thought he looks kinda smug on the website photos, but he looks very open and relaxed here. My tinies sometimes keep me company sitting on my desk while I look online.
Yep! I like their company. Even before I had bjds, I made a rag doll who kept me company and still does. I'm funny that way lol.
Me and Avalon like watching TV and movies together (I'd take a picture but he's sitting on my desk chair naked since I'm SUPPOSED to be sewing him pants...I'll get to it soon! XD;; )
im a production worked so i can't really take any of my crew with me to work ^^ however i do sometimes take one of them around the house with me mainly when i'm working in my craft room its fun to have a doll with me ^-^ couse i'll look over and be like oh yeah i brought cinder and then just kind of smile
Oh yes, all the time. Every day. Especially on Saturdays like today. I took both my boys with me to work. I'd love to take a pic of them, but I can't have cameras or phones out on the call floor. (It's a call center.) However, here's a pic of Zenith hanging out with me from the other day while I was at home on my computer. I adore their company.
Is it bad that I see "SkyNet" and think Terminator movies? And yeah. I had a rough week at work recently and brought my boy with me for a few days. Sorry I don't have pics though. The poor guy still has no eyes in. Luckily his hair covers it pretty well. But they are so still and peaceful. Dolls help my stress level decrease.
If it wasn't for my dolls I'd be so lonely, lol. I'm your stereotypical lonely otaku who never leaves home, so they're my best companions, as creepily sad as that may sound :, D
i wish i didnt live in an area where its so dang hot all the dang time lol, otherwise id have my boy out all the time!! and to make it worse i have huge windows with no black out curtains! but this one time i was feeling uneasy it was late night and i couldnt sleep so i dressed up my boy to protect him from the sun that would pour through the windows in the morning and my bed is like married to the wall with the windows, i tucked him underneath the thick blankets for further protection and was carefull not to break him underneath me accidentally. but with him i felt at ease and slept well but i freaked out in the morning cuz i didnt expect the sun nor the worm that was hiding beneath his cape layers!!
When my computer was in the living room and my dolls were in my bedroom, one of them often came out to the desk with me! Right now my desk is like 8 feet from the doll cabinet so they're always with me. I do have a couple of off topic dolls on my desk that I play with when I'm reading or watching videos.
I like to have my doll with me when I go gaming. She seems to like to go with me too, or at least not to mind going to D&D with me. I have to leave her home from one of my gaming groups because dolls really creep one of the players out. I miss her a lot those nights.
Gabriel is watching a movie with me because I'm a scaredy-cat and it's a scary movie (also the main character has the same name as me). He likes scary movies.
I love having a cuddle-buddy while hanging out-- and if neither of the cats wants the job, Vince is good at it. It's easier if I'm watching TV without also working on my laptop at the same time... nice to just have something in my arms or on my lap. I don't bring him out just to hold as often as I'd sometimes like, but it's because I'm a little OCD (okay, by 'a little', I mean 'literally diagnosed with a crippling case of'), so if I'm in my pajamas and they haven't been laundered "recently enough", I don't want to hold him because I don't want him to get sweaty or, like... skin-oil-y. So he mostly comes out if I'm sewing for him, or if I don't need my computer and haven't changed into jammies for the night... For some reason, the others are not as 'cuddly' as Vince, so if I'm hanging out with them, they're more likely to be perched on the arm of the couch next to me or something like that. So I can have a doll around just to look at and be cheered up by even if I'm too busy with the computer or too obsessively worried about cleanliness to cuddle.
My boys have their own little room inside my room... But sometimes when I feel like they need more love, I like to put them on my desk next to me when I'm on my laptop! It's too dark to take a picture now
when i get my doll i'll probably take him with me when i go to the hospital for a cystic fibrosis flare (maybe i wont be as lonely then) plus i already take a plush pikachu doll with me so the more the merrier right ^.^ also i imagine that after i first get him that i'll probably keep him close by anyways
I have all of my resin dolls on my computer desk where I sit everyday. I actually just boxed up a bunch of anime figurines today in order to make room for some more dolls that will be here next month.
Fawn, who was my first and is still one of only two MSDs, always sits on my bed. It's not the best for her wig, but I wouldn't have her anywhere else. And Maddy in my avatar has a little spot on my night table and a carry case that fits in my purse. The others are always out where I can see them. They're too beautiful not to be where I can see them all the time.
I often bring my boys down from their shelf to watch movies with me. The last movie we watched together was actually about a doll that killed people xp
Sometimes I have my babies just sit on my desk while I work/game haha, I have mostly tinies so its pretty easy, this one's Heather!
My job lets me work from home four days a month, and you can bet I totally take advantage of those days to be with my dollies. ^w^ I honestly feel like I can concentrate better with them by my side (and unlike my coworkers, they don't spend all their time yak yakking away and distracting me ).

I can't upload any pics atm but I have my kiddos keep me company all the time! Just today, i brought my little reagan with me to work to keep me company~
Kind of? I often have a doll on my desk or near at hand when I'm working on something (especially if it's doll-related and I need measurements). I'm a bit shy of taking them out and about with me, though. I sometimes take other, small toys for silly photos (travelogue style), but I've dropped/broken a few before, so I'm definitely wary of repeating that with dolls, which are even more fragile.
I like to take one with me when I go alone on long drives. Not only does it give me someone to talk to, but I don't feel so alone. The last time I drove from the East Coast back home to Ohio, I didn't have any resin with me, and it was a very lonely drive. I don't think I'll do that again. Ryu
My dolls hang out in my sewing studio and fight over who gets the scraps from the gown I'm working on.
Chaeri is my constant companion at home. She's sitting right now on my table watching me type this. She also goes to work with me and sits at my desk because I have the greatest boss on the planet.
I usually do but I didn't take one with me to hospital sit with my husband while he had a procedure done. Instead of being there for the expected 4 hours it wound up being over 8 hours because of doctor delays. I sure could have used the company and comfort of one of my dolls. I won't make that mistake again.
Hope the procedure went well and you both are home relaxing. I usually bring a bag with hand sewing for dolls, embroidery, etc... I don't read because when I'm anxious I just see words and never remember it. Keeping my hands busy helps, my mind can wander when I'm sewing. I get clumsy when stressed so bringing a doll would end poorly. Hard to break fabric.
I used to have one doll sit on my desk with me during the day. But now that I have cats I can't risk it.
