Charm Doll Minis

I love my Renard but everything is so short on him! I'm thinking of trying him with some Obitsu 50 clothing so I don't have to see his ankles all the time

 

Seconding this request. I'm so far successful in holding off on buying Dynami until I get back to work (on a 6 week recovery "vacation") but also? I wants him! And he'll be joining a trio of minifee so. It'd be good to see it first.

 

Gonna drop this link here since it has my Charmdoll Renard in comparison to some other MSD bodies. I will take some more specific pics of him tomorrow with some of my Minifees and other dolls, if that'd help.

EDIT: If there are any specific requests, I have Luts Model Delfs and a Kid45, a few minifee Motion boys and an active girl, SOOM Little Gems old type bodies, Doll Leaves both types, Withdoll, Myou Doll Body Type II Hybrids, a few Hybrids on Magic Time bodies, a Dream Valley Boy on the B4-04 body, a Dika Doll boy, a Doll Family-H boy, and a Resinsoul Boy on the mature body.

Caspian looks like the youngest brother who grew to be tallest. I love how sweet he is!

He definitely worried a lot about intimidating people when he realized how tall he was getting, so he went full in on the cutesy aesthetic! I was definitely a bit surprised by his height when he arrived.

He isn't my tallest MSD boy, though, that honor goes to either my DV Bethel or Grayson. Chaos is still a bit shorter, but he's a wolf taur.

Sadly he would be too tall for me. Does anyone know if any other companies match CD normal yellow so I could try and get a shorter body?

 

Maybe try Loongsoul? I hear they are connected to Charmdoll and that probably means they use the same resin formulas.

He looks awesome! How do you like the quality of his Fullset and faceup? And how's his posing? I'm still waiting for mine (month 4 now) and just can't wait to get him... He'll be my first "first-owner" BJD from the company, all my others are 2nd hand so I'm very excited!

If it's any help, here's what the body looks like next to some other MSD bodies.

From viewers left- Myou V1, Luts kid delf V6, Charm Doll V2, Asleep Eidolon (old body), Asleep Eidolon (new body).
I don't have a Fairyland doll to compare but looking at measurements, the Luts is the same hight and hip width but the chest/waist is larger. It looks like the body width on slim mini clothes might work, the main issue would be things might be a bit short on the body, arms & legs.

 

Thank you so much! That's actually a lot of help. The chest and waist thankfully doesn't matter much to me. As long as the ankles and wrists aren't sticking out, I'm good.

 

If it helps, I believe Luts Kid Delfs are the same height as minifees, so the length wouldn't be that much different.

Thanks for posting the comparison; I didn't realize Charmdoll bodies were so skinny. I kinda like it though.

Eric in person is VERY white and not that pinky. Outside in the current smoke + cloud cover, he looks properly white skinned. The normal yellow is much more 'standard' doll color.

This thread was kinda dangerous to read lol, I wasn't a fan of Renard before but now I think he's so cute AGH I already have so many dolls on my wishlist I'm saving up for this is dangerous, my poor wallet

 

Does anyone know where to order Charm Doll heads on their own? Is that even an option? The Eric head looks perfect for one of my female OCs, but I'd prefer not to have to buy a whole second body and be left with a spare male body.

 

They don't sell the head separately. You can find someone who willing to buy the body later or open a split

 

Thank you, I went ahead and did buy Eric and a separate female body. I'll likely end up selling the male body as soon as it gets here (if anyone in this thread wants his body, let me know!). Hopefully there's no issues with fitting the male head onto the female body; the neck circumference between the two have a few millimeters difference but the head circumferences appear to be the same for most of their MSD sized dolls so it shouldn't be disproportionate.

I ordered the elf ears for my Little Lord Eric, I'll post pictures of them once he arrives.

I was wondering-- has anyone been able to get charmdoll girls' feet into slim msd/minifee heels? (like boots or closed-toe ones from he-meife on ebay) i realize CD only offers flat feet (as far as i know anyway) but i've seen some situations where you can kinda get away with it anyway....

I have these exact shoes in question, but.... my Circe won't be here for at least another 3-4 months. I want to buy her shoes!
I guess if no one has done it yet I will reply and answer my own question when she arrives...

Minifee Shoes, soom rosette, loongsoul 1/4 and some random shoes from taobao make an ok fit.

Loongsoul is a hard to come by, sadly.

You can have the Minifee original one by participate in a split of full set.

*The good point of soom shoes is that they made from genuine leather, and can last decades*

I'm wondering if anyone knows if Charm Doll's new pink is close to Luts real skin white? I'm thinking of putting a CD head on a Luts rs white body and wondering if new pink would be a reasonable match. (I know CD's white is a pure white so doesn't have the pink tone of Lut's white). Thanks in advance for the help!

 

My Eric arrived today! I order the Little Lord version for the elf ear attachments and they look fantastic. I attached them with some sticky tack that ACBJD included, though I will likely switch it out for some white tack instead of the blue/green they provided, since the color shows through a bit.

Here's some photos of him (or rather, her since I got him to shell a female OC of mine) with wig and eyes on the Charm 42cm Girl Body Ver.II. The head fits perfectly on the female body, and while the elf ears aren't especially easy to see once the wig is on, her headband helps a lot to have them visible. A different style wig might show them off easier. Also worth mentioning that while the official measurements list his eye size as 14mm, I've found that 10mm looks a bit better. The eyes in the images below are 10mm.

Does Charm Doll do tan events?

I vaguely recall someone mentioning charm doll tan being a match to a tan artist head on the Marketplace at one point, but I've never seen Charm Doll do a tan event... or, at least, not one that has been offered on Alice Collections. I like their msd girl body, but their basic colors just seem far too pale. :

 

@Hime_Takamura thank you for sharing! they're interesting attachments.. I kinda wish they were more sturdy because I def would bump those off and lose them

 

They had several tan resin events before. It is the same as Loong Soul tan resin.

 

I was really worried that they would get in the way while I was putting her wig on and inserting her eyes, but they're surprisingly unobtrusive, and the sticky tack keeps them on pretty securely. The inside of the ear attachment is sculpted to sit flush with the head's ears so I don't have any concern about them coming off. I'd probably be nervous if I took her out somewhere and end up taking them off just in case, but since she's just being displayed I'm not too worried.

 

I ordered charmdoll x inplick’s Ayaan. I saw him and just had to add him to my collection. He will be my 3rd charm doll boy

 

My Circe arrived the other day after eight months! I got her in Normal Yellow with the company faceup and I'm absolutely in love!

My boys have arrived after getting their face-ups! Still waiting on their clothes, so I just threw them in some other dolls' outfits for now.

 

Just as a heads up, charmdoll (& sister company loongsoul) are discontinuing a fair amount of 1/4 (+1/6 and 1/3) sculpts including Renard, who seemed to be popular here. You can see them all here!

Would 12/6 eyes work for Renard, or would 10mm eyes be preferable? I’m buying him secondhand, but want to get everything ready for him before he arrives. So excited!

 

Hello! I was wondering if anyone here has a doll with the Ver.II boy body and can verify the height with head? On AC it says 45cm, but so does the Ver.I, and the photo with the bodies next to each other definitely makes them look different heights. I'm curious if they just didn't scale them accurately or if they're actually different. Thanks!

 

Happy to report that 12mm eyes fit perfectly fine. 14mm work as well, while 10mm are too small.

 

I have both bodies, and the Ver. 1 body is bigger than the Ver. 2. The Ver. 2, I’ve never measured, but it’s about the same size as all of my other 45cm dolls. The Ver. 2, though, is about the same height as my Dollzone 47cm body. I measured it at one point last year, and if I remember corrected it was either 47cm or 48 with the Renard head.

 

I wasn’t sure if this forum would be the best place to ask, but has anyone had any issues with the right hands on the Ver. 2 body not having full movement? I’ve had this issue with my first Charm Doll boy that I got a few years ago, and while it went away on my second doll, I didn’t have the issue with any of my newer ones until today. I assume it was something that I did, my Charm Doll Merlin came with a second set of hands and I was trying them on. I’ve switched hands on a few of my other dolls before, just not Charm Doll. Anyway, when I went to switch the right hand back to his default, I can’t move it in any direction anymore. It feels tight like my first Charm Doll. I’ve tried putting the hand back on in different ways with the same result. Looking at the other side, where the elbow is, it doesn’t look twisted on the inside? And it looks just like my other Charm Dolls. I’m not sure what the issue is. For my first Charm Doll boy, I never bothered trying to fix it since even after a few years and him not being as tight as a new doll can be, that hand just does not want to come out enough to even see the whole hook.

Anyway, thank you in advance if someone has any idea or if I should just make a separate thread. I’m not very forum savvy, but I’ve only had this issue with my Charm Doll boys.

 

Thank you for the info! That's a shame, I was hoping the Ver. 1 was standard height and the Ver. 2 was on the shorter end lol. There's a head of theirs that looks like it would work well for a project I have in mind, so I'm debating whether I want to buy the full doll with a body I might not use for anything (if it was shorter, it might've worked instead of the one I was originally planning to use), or just wait and see if I can find a different head that I can buy separately.

Is there anyone here who can tell me if CD Normal Yellow or Normal Pink will match the NS of any of the following companies; Soom, Fairyland, Supia, Withdoll? I have a Withdoll head on the way and would like to put him on a CD body so, so badly

 

This is the charm doll thread so it might help if you ask this on a thread for Doll Chateau or Dollzone (who are sister companies, with the same colors)

Fairyland is a light peachy-pink resin. New supiadoll (from the last few years) is an exact match for Withdoll, as Withdoll does Supiadoll's casting for them. For charm doll (if you meant to ask about them), I believe their NSP is a very, very VERY light pink, kind of like a white-pink resin. She's a few years old, but I could DM you a pic of my Dollzone NSP next to a beige Withdoll and NS fairyland. I can't help with soom or charm doll, though. From what I have though, I think I can confidently say there would probably need to be paint-matching for the skin tones, though.

 

I did mean to ask about Charm Doll I just got the letters mixed up while I sat as a passenger on twisty roads

I got the impression that their NS Pink was very pale, almost like a Rose White/Mia Pink type color? I recently ordered a Withdoll head that I need a body for, and Charmdoll has one of the prettiest msd boy bodies I’ve seen in a long time someone in a Facebook group shared a picture with me of their NS Yellow and Fairyland NS, and they don’t match at all - the CD being much paler

 

My fiancee was right, I already chose a second doll even before receiving my first one. I am strongly eyeing Dyami, his smile is so cute! I plan to get him on layaway when I have my budget sorted out, as I heard the wait times from Charm Doll are quite long! I'm thinking about getting the light tan, and a black short slightly curly wig for him...

So Halson was discontinued back in December 2025, and I just found out now There are sculpts older than him that didn't leave the rotation. I don't understand. He's so beautiful, it's going to be hard to forget him. Now that I'm focusing on 1/4 dolls, it was on my wish list, how sad

 

@NuttyRojita Legenddoll still have Halson on their list, you can try purchase through them if you really want the doll. Sometime even if they are discontinued we still can find the sculpt we like via dealer or 2nd hand market, so you need not to feel that bad
