BlueFairy (Tiny Fairy) discussion Part 12

I have one Bluefairy with an actual CoA, I think it’s from 2016? None of my older or newer ones have them though. I’m not sure why they did it briefly then gave up on it.

Knowing that TF doesn't really use COAs is very useful information.

That's exactly how my Arthur head arrived as well!

 

I didn't know they were planning to renew the site (I knew only about the factory change) and that's why, when I was trying to enter to review historical information of my purchases, I asked here what was going on... I don't have any backup either

Exactly!! Only one of my TF has a certificate (it's similar to a card) because BlueFairy issued them only for a short period of time. I don't remember any formal communication about it.

 

Waaa ow crap I didn't know they were going to erase all history. =__= I would've loved to have saved the details of my purchases especially for my first dolls from 2006. I guess I'm to blame as not having to done that earlier.

 

the closest thing my Louis came with to a certificate was a cardboard name tag on his bag. My other doll came with nothing at all.

And ooo that's sad to lose the old photos. I am nostalgic about a fair few of the old bf things, as they're the first bjd brand I ever saw and loved.

 

Right??? My first one was a ns Olive in 2007. I've bought so many dolls from them over the years.

 

re: COAs - I was going through some of my boxes recently, and found in one of those brown top-split-open type boxes a card inside that was folded in half (to a business card size) and neatly stapled shut. I figured maybe there's a COA inside, and pried open the staple. Blank inside, and the two "fronts" just had company name and their logo text. I guess the mini carrier bag they send some dolls in could be considered their company proof, but that's a recent thing and who knows when they'll stop that. (And a mini carrier bag is too useful to let go!)

Aw, Olive is such a lovely sculpt! All your Olives are so unique!

I hope to find an Olive available someday - or maybe BlueFairy will release her again. We'll see!

 

She's such a popular sculpt, there's usually one or two on Mandarake whenever I check!

There's one right now, a full set girl, and judging from her outfit/wig, she's quite old! That's the ~2005ish era set. And of course, the single-jointed original body. If she's within your budget, I'd say go for it

 

Oh, thanks! The last time I tried to order from Madarake my card info got stolen (ugh) so I've avoided it since then, but I will look into it! I appreciate you letting me know!

Even if that doesn't work out, I know she's a pretty common sculpt, so I imagine one will turn up eventually.

 

Guys, quick question. Feel free to whip me for not reading the whole thread, but as far as I understood, now Bluefairy allows different sculpts for preorder every x months, but I don't see any price info on their website. Bluefairy introduced me to bjds long before I could own at least one, and I would love to own a TF May because of that, but... how? I am more inclined to buy her used at this point, but out of scientific curiosity... how do you order from them nowadays?

I believe they have abandoned the fixed monthly pre-orders and now they announce what they will be selling. Right now they have opened pre-order for all sculpts offering a new skin color. You'd have to order the Tiny Fairy one and once you have completed the process, you need to tell them in the Q&A your order number and that you want a May that's how I completed the last orders with them, I hope I was clear.

 

uh °_°. That sounds pretty chaotic and open to human error

 

The US website appears not to be open yet (they said on Instagram those orders would open a little later). When it does, maybe things will be clearer? I would still prefer just to order a head, but I'm not sure that is possible.

 

I'm able to see the new pre-order in the international site now and there's an option per size but you can't select the head directly in there, so I'm assuming the method would be as I described because that's how I completed my last orders with them.

 

oh, I think I found it, but I am not finding any differences between the various TF bodies, only for the SF ones

 

I'm going to get a Valentine Olive in the new skin tone once I figure out what the heck these body options mean haha

Or... How to. I hope they nail down the int site before the end of the order period

I also would like to place an order for a Tinyfairy in Light Brown skin but it seems the only body option available is TF Tender/ Dazzling ....
and I'm a fan of the New Girl body option!

I have to say that I looked at the price, gave myself a heart attack, then decided to buy her used, so now I feel more at peace XD. Kinda.

EDIT: does anybody know how you can order just a head without the body, and how much would it cost? the website is not really helpful and I would love to make a hybrid with a less expensive body in the future

 

Well, surprise from out of the blue, the TF Heemang that I ordered back in the "Last Choice" order in May arrived today. (Not sure how long she'd been out in the mail system--we had a huge snowstorm in the US Midwest and no mail at all since last Friday!) She's a beauty and looks somewhat like an older version of Sarang. Face-up was not in the old Bluefairy style and I might have to wipe it and re-do it when it's not 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside. I'll try to take some pictures this weekend. If there's time, I'll find my Sarang and take a picture of them together!

My May arrived on December 30th, got to unbox her last week and did my first bjd cleaning and restringing. She was well kept, but still pretty old and floppy - she now poses a little better than before despite my restringing not being a particularly good job. She came with a set of clothes, a wig and a pair of shoes, but I still need to wash at least the wig and clothes as they have that musty smell despite being in very good condition, with just a little staining here and there. I want to sew her some stuff and find a new wig for her, I am absolutely in love (and now want a new one, of course XD! Probably ShinyFairy Hana)! Will post pics as soon as I can! She came in a pillowed cardboard box that I think is old Bluefairy and I want to somehow freshen up the cushions, too...

@juuhachigo Congratulations on your May and good luck with cleaning the clothes and freshening the cushions. I used wood based kitty litter to my siblings doll which I sold. They had some insences in their home and doll had a strong flowery smell on it so I put all the kitty litter in a container and doll parts in there. I worked well for it. Maybe it would help?

 

oooo, thanks! IK ended up unstringing her and washed her in the sink with warm water and a drop pf dish soap, scrubbing lightly with a melanine sponge, since I had to restring her anyway. It worked (no staining or smell left) but I think I will use kitty litter for the pillowcase at least! I still have to wash the clothes and wig

 

any news on anything bluefairy recently?

does anybody know if you can order anything from them? I would love to own a couple of new BF dolls but I have to figure their preorder system out

 

I'm confused as well.The site says mobile order only in the notice section but there are no buy buttons only add to wishlist buttons and there don't seem to be any responses on the QA board. I just want to buy a bunch of shoes.

as far as I had tried in December, only the Korean website has 'working' buttons at the moment, but since they haven't updated in a while, I can't understand what preorders are open. I hope they're not going out of business! I will wait eagerly XD

 

Here is the response from Bluefairy, not sure if they will have shoes in stock in the future but I did see they have 2 special dolls listed for May.

I haven't been active for quite a while, and haven't followed anything Bluefairy. (I know they moved their factory) I would love to get an Olive in normal skin. I have her in beauty white on an old gentle body, but it's just not speaking to me. I looked at the pre-order that is active this week and I noticed you can only order dolls in Snow White, Beauty White and light Brown. Did they discontinue Normal skin? I am so confused.

 

And you can only order certain heads! I have never bought BF new, but I've followed them through the years and they cost a LOT more now. I don't think I'll be ever able to afford one of them new, sadly!

EDIT: Hang on, for the size I'm interested in for a future preorder I think they mistakenly added the standard body twice on the international website, that's why the price skyrocketed so much!

 

Yeah they've done that for a while. You can only order certain heads each month (first week). But you could see the schedule ahead, so you would know when to purchase. I don't see anything like that now. Another thing I noticed. You can only order the Dazzling body and the Tender body for Tiny Fairy. All other bodies are not even shown on the site. Are they also discontinued? That would be sad. I loved the girl body. Especially the classic, but I've come around to their double jointed ones, since I have a Junior with it. So I'm considering to or order a NS Olive head (I have a spare body), or a beauty white girl body (she's on a Gentle body now. Sweet but just not it for her. Maybe that's more the problem then the skin colour). But both options don't seem to be available

 

I know for a fact that they discontinued the single-jointed TF body...? The one my used TF May has is the Classic Blossom, I think...? I have no experience with the newer bodies, sadly. Yeah, they announced the heads for the June preorder soon after the PocketFairy All-Type order ended. I'm a little disappointed - I am dying to buy SF Hana (and probably TF Sarang in the future) but I would love to plan the purchase a little in advance, without playing Russian roulette on my wallet XD

 

Yes, the classic one has been discontinued for a couple of years. I would consider ordering the Neo girl body (double jointed). But that is not shown on the site anymore. Only Dazzling & Tender.
Another weird issue I have with them is that they seem to have deleted my account. I can not log in or retrieve my password. I get a message that my account doesn't exist Anyone else experienced this? I have no idea if I had any points left or anything.

 

I'm a new customer and I've just created mine, but they did change their website a while back - they probably remade the whole database and deleted inactive users?
What's the difference between Dazzling and Tender, out of curiosity?

 

Hmm.. Could be. My last order was in 2021. Not super recent, but also not extremely long ago. Oh well, I guess I'll just create a new account when I want to order something again.
The Dazzling (female) and Tender (male) are both more mature slim msd type bodies. Nothing like their old girl/blossom/boy/etc bodies. They are fine, but not for me.

Uh, I don't know why I did not guess one was a male body and one was female. Mhh, you're right, I also prefer less mature bodies!

 

When they moved to the new site all of your information was removed/deleted including purchase history and you need to create a new account with a new password.

Wow I had no idea the bodies had been updated so much! I have a tf from 2009 and these are very different!

 

Well, they added a bunch of different bodies next to their girl/boy/blossom etc a couple of years ago. More mature slim msd type. But you could still order the other ones. Now they're suddenly gone. Don't know what it means... On the japanese site you can still view all the bodies: Option parts - TF Body

 

Can any of you give me advice on how to match Bluefairy's Beauty White? I want to get Sarang someday but shipping to my country from Korea is absurdly high, so I would like to ask them, in the future, if I can purchase only a painted head from them. I will find a body to match elsewhere.
