@Azael I had a Sara for most of high school and all of college. The proportions of the MSD body are beautiful, and the poses are very stable. The construction is also rather interesting as the joints are made with gears in addition to stringing. I think the only frustration that people have with the body is that the gears prevent in between poses. The YoSD collaboration with Fallindoll also produced very cute dolls (if those were the dolls you were referring to). The joints on these dolls are constructed normally, but they are very well sculpted and fit together with a low profile. I had a Lily.
@americanseamstress And yup that's why I'm excited for her! I'm not the best at posing to begin with so...it'll be alright I hope. I just hope her body is proportionate to the floating heads I have. I've only seen one photo with a head I have and it seemed to work (not a full body shot so I still have my fingers crossed). Ah those must be the ones! I hadn't realized they were a collaboration. I also love the anthro Hujoos, they don't seem to really need wigs so maybe I won't have the same problem as I did with my Berry. Though to be fair, she did pretty well with a short wig. Edit: I received my Hujoo Dana before the new year and I absolutely adore her! The posing is great. I just wish I could get her to stand on carpet like my Obitsu. And she's perfectly proportioned for one of my floating heads! The string fell through while I was waiting for the s hook (and couldn't find my chopstick) so me and Hubby had to "restring" her. It was difficult but we managed! And...yeah I don't think I'll be changing her head (an old luts with the hook attaching to the headplate) anytime soon. That's okay, I don't mind getting another Action body!
I have but one Hujoo, an orange Berry that caught my eye due to her unique color. Her name is Kim Ju-hwang. "Ju-hwang" means "orange" in Korean, and as for "Kim"...well, all my dolls need a surname! Ju-hwang was my starter doll. I wanted to learn how a strung doll felt, and how to set eyes with putty, but I didn't yet want to sink a ton of money on a resin doll. Ju-hwang proved to fit the bill perfectly. She now has a place of honor with my on-topic squad and a place in their storyline (she's the girlfriend of my werewolf character, Alistair). I went back to Hujoo's site recently and discovered that they had nothing left. Are they folding???
@RagingMoon1987 I just looked today and the website seems OK. It even looks like they have a new Yo-SD. Is Ju-hwang a daydreamer? Love the blue streak in her hair!
@americanseamstress LOL, she can be a daydreamer, yes! Here's what she usually looks like; her wig is half blue and half green, an Etsy find. Don't let that shy face fool you; she's not afraid of anything! That's good news about Hujoo's website; I guess I was just looking in the wrong place. I must go take a gander. Thanks for the info!
@RagingMoon1987 Now I see how the style works! Cute—love the bows! And I will be careful not to underestimate her!
I recently bought a secondhand Rose (yosd) off eBay. I saw the doll and wasn’t going to bid, but that face! The face up just was so cute. I went back just to look, and since no one had bid, I thought I’d place one. Well, I won! Anyway, the character I had planned was going to be a cutesy girl, but I tried on my favorite wig, and now she is a he named Evan. I had an outfit I was going to get rid of, it fit...same with a pair of shoes I’ve had forever than no one could wear, and a pair of eyes I loved that fit. So Evan is a conglomeration of unused items that work together...finally! He is based off the video game Ni No Kuni 2, as I even had a pair of resin kitty ears that fit (also in the get rid of box). I really like the abs plastic and would love more bjds made with it. Looks like I will need to share pics here.
@kurogane So cute! I love the eyes—they look so kind—and the combination with the ears is so adorable!
Ooooh! I can contribute my little Hujoos. Erf is my Robo-rabi. He is the majordomo around here. He calls all the shots from the background. According to him, this place would fall into disrepair and chaos without him. I also have a catdragon named Kihi. I did some modding on him and he is a real sassy cat with a dragon tail. I'm not sure where his original tail had gone?
Beautiful dolls. I just order a Azela from junkyspot. Ashe will be blank for a while, but as soon as I get her I will share some pictures with you guys Does somebody else have some of the Hujoo 60cm girls Amie, Io, or Azela?
I have an Io, but right now I have an Isul for the head and it’s dyed blue. The posing is really nice, except for the hip joint, which is nonfunctional and seems to serve only as easy access to the tail magnet insert (the bodies for Io, Azela, and Amie are the same for this part).
Hello Nice to see you here. I will love to see more pictures of your hybrid. I saw the picture you shared and it was looking very unique. By the way I finally got my vindoll the one, I bought with the money from the body I sold you. He is awesome She is going to be my first abs doll. So far I have only handle resin and vinyl. Would she be to heavy? Any advice?
@MrFjmg2003 I can get you more pictures later in the week—I’m slowly moving all my dolls from storage. I’m so glad you were able to purchase a Vindoll! I meant to congratulate you, but perhaps I only liked your post in the thread! ABS is lighter than the vinyl kips and lighter than resin. The vinyl lips, however, are very dense. I think she will be slightly heavier than Vindoll, if I had to guess, as the ABS parts are much thicker than Vindoll’s vinyl shell.
I've got a 1/3 size Hujoo Azela fullset... this was from her opening. I really need to take more photos. I painted a lot more spots on her since then...!
Thank you she is beautiful. This make me so excited to get mine. If God permits I will have her by the end of the week
Congrats!!! I hope she arrives soon! She is my only ABS plastic doll. I liked how it felt a lot. Slightly lighter than resin, but a good feel, very similar to resin. Easy to paint. I didn't do any major mods, so I don't know about that. I think she poses OK. I'm sure you will like her.
I got my Minerva (Azela), and she is gorgeous. I'm not sure when she will get a face up but she is so beautiful even without one. I had to give her a good cleaning, before taking pictures. I order her from junkyspot and she was very stain and had some dust and water stain. But regardless I love her she is so COOL! So,I present to all you my gorgeous Minerva the cat lady
@MrFjmg2003 She looks great! Hoped you can buff off the stain with magic eraser. That sucks that she came stained, but she’s adorable nonetheless.
@MrFjmg2003 oh, congratulations! Another gorgeous girl! Your girls have so much style! I enjoy seeing them!
I probably never would have bought one on my own, but I received a Berry as a gift. Once I got her all painted up, I found her to be quite cute indeed.
@Addictiya Nice! Is that the ABS Fallindoll X Hujoo Collaboration fennec Fox? Super cute! @Adalaire Cute! Your Berry is really sweet! That sculpt wasn’t available when I ordered my YoSD Hujoo humanoid (as opposed to anthro) Dolls.
Thank you. I was able to clean her up with the magic eraser. I can't wait to send her to get a face up. He so cool. I love his outfit I love her freckles. She looks so adorable
I haven't send my Minerva to get a face up yet. Poor thing but I recently won a wig on a semi contest somebody did on the Obitsu forum. I won a lot of things and the wig was one of those. I have tried this wig in all my female dolls, but I think I finally find an owner. I think this wig makes Minerva looks super sexy. Also the long hair wig was getting stuck in all her joints. I love long hair wigs, but they drive me crazy in dolls that use elastic strings because they get stuck in all the joints lol. When I had resin dolls it was a battle with the wigs constantly getting stuck in the joints. Minerva is very similar to a resin doll. She even feels the same. Here is a pic of Minerva in her new wig. My goal if God permits is to send her next month to get a face up
@MrFjmg2003 Minerva is gorgeous! That wig is perfect for her, and winning it makes it even more special.
Thank you so much. It is kind of hard to photograph the ears. I need to find the perfect angle because if not they don't come in the pictures at all. I think I glue them way to low. I'm to lazy to go back and try to glue the magnets on the top lol. Thank you. I agree I never win anything so now I'm super happy I won something
This question is for the ones that have order from the Hujoo site before. Doesn't somebody knows how often Hujoo restock? I really, really want a Hujoo Io, but she is sold out. I was reading on the Hujoo site and it says she is not limited which it makes me believe she might be in stock again. There's several Hujoo dolls out of stock. Did you guys know if they will be instock again or once sold out they never come back? If they do get restock how long does it takes? Thank you so much for the help.
Have you tried the Junky Spot? You can ask them if they can get you one. I did order from Hujoo directly. I ordered the Little Roses and Neve from there as soon as Little Rose came out. They went out of stock pretty soon, and have never returned as far as I know. I did not have any problems with the order. Did you see the new USD Aion? She is a cutie. Is there Korean website? You might try it. They most likely do not have anyone who speaks English well. Hope you get your doll!
Is Freya/Nanofreya considered off topic? I don't have her but I would love to get a Nanofreya on Christmas maybe
I got this beautiful second hand Hujoo Io from Facebook a week ago. The price was very low and fair. I been wanting one so bad. The body is in perfect condition, but the head has a crack on her cheek. I knew this when I bought it but I was hoping the crack was just on the outside but is goes inside the head too. It is very deep. The good news is the super awesome of @americanseamstress had a Io head and she gave it to me. The head is dye blue, but I'm hopeful I will be able to clean the head and replace it. If it doesn't work I might look for another head to use with the body. But I hope it does because I love the Io head. It looks so sweet So sad the head is broken because it has a beautiful face up. I named her Aymea This is the crack. It is almost visible but is very deep.
My Aymea is finally complete. She got her new head with the default face up. She even has eyelashes. I love her so much
Thank you. She looks so beautiful. I cannot believe my dream of owning a Hujoo Io came true. Here is more Aymea. Now as a platinum blonde :p
I have two of the Freya dolls, but I haven't completely finished them yet. They both need some clothes, and only have a few random odds and ends so far. The seafoam (glow in the dark) one has a face up from her original owner (still contemplating whether I want to redo it or not), and I gave the white doll her finishing touches recently. Sorry for the Instagram photo compression making everything look extra grainy.
@americanseamstress - Thank you! I thought that it would be a good complement to the galaxy theme on the glow in the dark girl. They, and my little AnAn, are named after Pleiades, so I wanted star-themed looks for them.
@MrFjmg2003 I love the freckles! And I like how you’ve styles Minerva as well! I’m surprised I like her with hair, but I really do!
Hello, I hope everybody had a Merry Christmas. Sorry for spamming so much, but I been waiting for so long for somebody else to post pictures of their gorgeous Hujoo dolls and nothing yet. I really like sharing pictures and I recently change Minerva look so I wanted to share her with you. Now Minerva is ready for the Mew Year LOL
Than you. That was not intentional, I actually pick the dress because it has purple in it like her choker. It was a surprise when I saw the pictures and I notice that the eyes matches the dress. I think the change to a lighter color wig help too
I think it definitely makes her faceup look softer somehow, while the darker wig makes it look more severe, but also more modern minimalistic--I didn't notice the blush and subtle shading on the faceup until the lighter wig, although the close-up also helps.
LOL I think that was because until a few weeks ago Iwas using my tablet to take pictures. Recently I started using a camera and that has improve the pictures a little bit more. Mostly because I'm able to zoom in and out Another pictures of Aymea with a different wig. I like to try different hair styles in my dolls
I have a hujoo nano rabi (gray) that I love. He was my first strung doll (other than some long-suffering Megos back in the day...), and he's been a wonderful little companion. I've had him for over two years, and still haven't brought myself to give him a faceup yet! I do think that I will eventually give him some more definition, but for now, he's perfect just as he is.
Oh I am so happy to have found this thread! I have a Hujoo Janus Gata since sometime last year and it's such a fun little doll
