And Xiangling is next on my wish-list. Assuming I can handle the SD size doll anyway, I don't have any dolls that big yet.

What colour skin are they? I ordered mine in solid butter.

Xiangling is in Pink and Charlotte is Normal Pink. I got Bing-Yu in solid butter, its very pretty.
So far I think all AS resin is really nice, both in color and texture~

Was her face-up really sparkly? Like reeeeeeaally sparkly? Cuz my charlotte's sure was, haha

*sigh* I really wanted to wait until mid fall to place this order, but alas, MoC is stopping pre-orders so... here I am. Still have a month until they submit my order though

 

At least Cherry (? I think that was her name via mail) -said- that he got shipped - she said I could log into the angell-studio page now, since I have an order number (that she gave me), but... uhm, doesn't work. I'm super chill about the whole thing and will just wait till he shows up though xD I have a lot of time and not even a body for him, so... he can take the scenic route.

 

MOC told me that my Lan Ling had arrived. I have one more layaway payment scheduled on July 2, and then he will be shipped out! The days are really creeping slowly by right now!

 

I just got some photos of the face up from AS for my Charlotte, she can't be that far away

 

My LangLing got here savely, but... seems Niila really doesn't want to be shelled into a doll. The head is gorgeous, but I ordered the wrong color (solid pink is... really pink. Ham pink.) and he's too big for the body I wanted to put him on (a Ringdoll RGM04). While its possible to airbrush the whole head, the problem with the "too big-ness" can't be solved easily, and since I'm unhappy with the doll of his girlfriend, I'll just sell her and stop trying to get these two as dolls :/

Maybe one day, but not now.

I ordered my Lan LIng in Solid Pink, too. I hope it's not super pink!

 

AS Pink is very pink lol
It's really cute though!

 

AS SOLID pink is very, VERY pink, and very, VERY light.
Their NORMAL pink is fairly close to Soom's normal skin.

I can take comparison pictures, if you want. I have every A-S skin tone except gray

 

Oh... I just checked (It's been MONTHS and months since I first did the layaway)... and I ordered Normal Pink (whew!!!). I haven't seen any of AS's skin tones... and they mostly show solid butter in their photos... so it's hard to tell just how pink they go!

Thanks for the information, @AnchixDPx . I'm not as worried about it being too pink now (although it's hard to say until they arrive... AND there's not a lot I can do about it anyway...!!!). I'm sure he'll be OK. I think even the solid pink would look OK to me...

I was just a bit worried about the yellower tones because resin tends to yellow anyway! And pink tends to fade with time. I tend to keep all my dolls, so I try and think in the long term and try not to mind the arrival color, since it changes at least a little on all dolls. (Most dolls are pretty good at maintaining a stable color these days, I think. It's only SOME of my older dolls that have shifted a bit... some of that was due to the older non-UV MSC, too.)

I can't wait to get my Lan LIng home! Just counting down the days until my scheduled last layaway payment, now!

I'm still waiting for my first AS doll to turn up, it will be a while before the next one. I don't want my entire collection looking the same.

 

I made my last layaway payment on Lan Ling... MOC says they will ship out within the next 5 days. I haven't got a tracking number from them yet... but since they're in the US... it shouldn't take long once it's in the mail...!

I got my Charlotte today!! She was ordered on April 1st (no joke ) Interestingly, it took a month from receiving faceup photos to actually receiving her. She is stunning, well worth the wait

 

So I just ordered my grail doll!!! Angell Studio Cynthia!!! Made my first (of 6) layaway payment and I couldn't be more excited!!!!!

Not sure if this counts as an order, but I emailed AS about buying an Alina 1/4 nude head by itself and they said they would make one for me! I paid the paypal invoice about 5 days ago after emailing back and forth, haven't heard back but I'm assuming they'll be making it? Either way I'm excited!! ^^

I ordered my first Angell-Studio doll about two weeks ago. I decided on the Halloween Leira. I can't wait for her to arrive! ^.^

 

Omg I love her... I don't have her, but she's soooo pretty. Did you get her with the faceup?

 

@AnchixDPx I didn't order a face-up right away because I wanted to try my own. However, I did ask them about if they could do a head after your ordered a doll and I am just waiting for a reply. (Just in case the faceup I do just never works out, or I get too nervous to try. -.-)Until I get a reply the worst thing I figured that is going to happen is I order another Leira head with a custom faceup based on Halloween Leira. Then I would just have an extra head I can figure out what to do with, but I guess we'll see what their reply is.

I fell in love with Angell Studio's work because of Halloween Leira. XD

 

You can buy practice heads from places like Alice's Collection for around USD20 too. Then you don't need to worry about paying to send Leira's head back.

I love the factory faceup on my Charlotte, it's better than the Luts doll I've got.

Funny enough the first doll I fell for was their AS Limited Doll Sherry. She was absolutely breathtaking but I didn't have the funds to get her. There was also another doll Baron Samedi The God of Zombie that I'd wanted. However he was already sold out by the time I knew of his existence. I just didn't want to miss out on a third time.

Been going through the tutorials but I feel like I'm not thorough understanding everything. I'm not the artsy craftsy type but I'm willing to learn and put in the effort to be a part of the BJD community hehe. I hope you all get your dolls soon!

Ahh, I ordered my doll HuaRong without pierced ears (I didn't know by default that she doesn't come with pierced ears because she comes with earrings) and I had to wait for their response if I could also put in an order for the addition of pierced ears. This is my very first BJD so I was miserable over my mistake. Going to AngellStudio I explained that I didn't realise that it was a service people normally paid for....
So I waited for their response when an absolutely lovely and understanding person by the name of Lily offered to go check. Yes she confirmed my mistake but to my surprise she offered to ask the factory (?) if they could also add pierced ears to my girl because it was just a very small service fee - for free! I waited a long time and even offered again if I could just simply add the service charge to the cart and somehow combine the purchases together (not sure if that' causes problem for them though).

It took a while for me to hear back from her but she finally replied back to me saying that they wouldn't have any problems adding the pierced ears to my girl for free. I guess it was because it was my very first doll and purchase but I hope they'll realise just how thankful I am over it. Now I just have to wait like everyone has before (unless they're like me who've just bought their doll and are waiting for them to come home keke).

My Alina head arrived! She's so precious Now to fix this wig, get her clothes, sand down the neck.... so much to do!

 

I placed my order on MoC on July 27th 2017 and I emailed MoC regarding wait times. They said lately Angell Studio can take up to 27 weeks for shipment Can anyone give me a ray of light and tell me this is wrong? Hahaha. I’m just an impatient child sometimes, I swear.

 

Pretty sure that's a safe estimate so they don't seem late if it takes longer than 3 months. Going by the dates in the waitlist and what's typical for BJD companies I'd expect 1-2 months for a head and 3-4 for a full doll. Although waits can get that long, they seem on top of things right now!

 

Phew! Let’s hope so!! Thanks for helping calm my mind so I am able to sleep!

I just ordered a DiaoChan as my first Angell Studio. I like the face she has, and from what I’ve seen in the unboxing photosets the company seems to have really good quality, I know their clothing is amazing. Their details are impressive as heck.

 

Ooo congrats! Diao Chan is the next AS doll on my list, she’s absolutely gorgeous.

Sadly, my MoC order with Angell Studio had to be canceled. I had ordered on March 31 and got a refund on October 27th because it had not arrived. I really have to wonder how a company (Angell Studio) misses an order like that. I'm not upset, I'll just order directly from them next time. It's not MoC's fault at all this happened, they were wonderful to give me a refund after 7 months of waiting. But it really is disappointing to wait all that time and not get your product. It's like, what were you even waiting for at that point? But I'm so glad others have had more success even through dealers. I wouldn't wish something like this on anyone. Everyone's dolls are beautiful! Good luck with the waiting, everyone!

@akaisha0 -- Oh! That's terrible! I wonder what happened? Is AS having a slow-down problem? Or was it just that someone dropped the ball and didn't record the order over at AS? (or is there some problem in producing your particular items?) It's too bad you didn't get a good answer, since it would help other people to know if they should make an order or not...

Note down what happened on the Waitlist and other places, just as something that others might need to know, if you can.

I went through MOC for my Lan Ling that arrived last July... he was on long layaway and I had no problems with the order.

@april Got it, and I certainly will. I haven't checked with the dealer to see if AS ever wound up sending them the order after I canceled through the dealer. They were behind at the time which MoC informed me about but it still didn't show up in the two months following that so we wrote it off as being forgotten over at AS. Luckily I don't hear this happens often so that's good at least. I hope everyone has better luck with things AS really has a beautiful selection of things, and while I won't be going back, I love seeing everyone's dolls

 

Hello! I just placed my order for my Bai Rong with human faceup. He will be my first 70 cm boy, and I'm really excited about that! I heard good things about Angell Studio's resin, face-ups and posing, so I'm looking forward to seeing him in real life

I looked through the waitlist to get an idea of how long it would take him to get shipped, but the times tend to differ a lot. The only full (non-fullset) doll with faceup I found was from over a year ago so I'm not sure if that time is still accurate. If anyone can give me an estimate, that would be really appreciated Thank you in advance!

 

I ordered a XiaZhi in milk with face-up and body blushing along with the maid outfit and the red-brown wig on September 16th. Its January 8th and she's still not here. Its starting to piss me off, because last year almost on September 14th I ordered 2 dolls (Hua rong w/faceup, body blushing, the sagittarius fullset with blushing, two outfits with shoes) and it was here on November 3rd.
How is it that last year my huge order came in in 2 months but my new order which isn't even half of that has taken twice as long?

 

And she's shipped yesterday after a polite but strongly worded email with the comparison dates above.
I am so happy she is on her way!

 

Two months in, I’m getting anxious to see that shipping notice. I know it might be two more months before I see it, but still...
