Oh my gosh Taelar!!! I'm so sorry to hear that! i'd be so upset. Though I bet you are. ^^;
I would for sure take a few pictures of it and email AS and ask if you can get a replacement because it's so smashed. I would imagine that they'd help you out with it. It was the Head back that got smashed?? I've never had a broken part like then with a doll, so I can't say, but I feel that through email, AS has amazing customer service. I would sincerely hope that they'd send you a replacement part. And I think most companies if you get back to them after receiving your shipment within a few days they have a rule in place that they'll help you out. Please keep us updated on it and I hope that it all goes smoothly!

 

Oh no! That's TERRIBLE! I would email them with photos right away. I've never dealt with anyone else but MoC, so I don't know how Angell Studio's customer service is by using their email directly. I wish you the best of luck, please keep us updated!

Taeler, so glad to hear that AS is working to remedy the situation. Though it's awful your head cap was broken, it's always good to hear a company working with their customers.
I'm glad they replied quickly. Hopefully that is some relief!

On a personal note. I managed to raise enough money to pay off my layaway, but I think I'll hold off until MoC sends me a shipping notice. I'm so excited about my Ice Queen though.
Can't wait to see everyone's dolls come in safely.

Oh, phew -- what a relief! I am so sorry to hear that his headcap arrived smashed to bits. That must have been so upsetting to open the box and see that! If that had happened to me, I probably would have cried. I'm glad that AS is being really great about making a replacement for you. I hope they can send it soon!

It looks like you can order her directly from Angell-Studio via her product page: http://www.angell-studio.com/en/?product-2533.html. She doesn't appear to be available through Mint On Card yet, so I'm guessing you'll probably just have to order her from AS.

 

Moc also just got back fromchina, so it may take a bit for them to get her up

Not all Hildas are off-topic -- the fantasy Frozen Queen version with the translucent leg is off-topic for DOA because of her lack of ankle joint. But, the human-looking Hilda is on-topic, and the Frozen Queen Hilda with conventional legs is on-topic. Either way, members have listed several kinds of Hildas on the waiting list, so go ahead and add your name and order!

Yeah, the mods locked down the announcement thread for Frozen Queen Hilda for being off-topic. She came with the option of conventional jointed legs, though, right? I mean, there are plenty of dolls that come with optional one-piece high-heeled leg parts, and I realize those are off-topic for DOA; but I could swear that Frozen Queen Hilda had the option of conventional jointed legs. Am I just misremembering?

 

I think the body she comes on is a new body from A-S that is only a high heeled leg body.

I believe she is on topic as long as she does not have her heel legs which do not have joints. So you can still list her just not exactly on topic for the legs. That is pretty much it for her.

 

The body she comes on doesnt offer regular feet :/

And congrats Anchix! It's always nice when the doll arrives at the dealer before the end of the layaway. That way you know it's waiting for you!^^ The last two pre-orders I had with MoC didn't arrive until AFTER my 6 mo layaway was over.<:O

Okay, so got Kimi today. Only they sent "her" on the boy body instead of the girl body I ordered! Just sent them an email asking if they'd send the correct part of the torso. I really don't feel like going through the trouble of shipping the body back and waiting for another one, so if that's the only thing they'll do, I'll just keep it and sand her into a girl. lol It's a yosd, so I figure the body is androgynous enough that it won't matter much. Other than the mix-up, it's a really nice doll! Poses well already.

 

Taking off my shipping notice. AS made an error and gave me the wrong tracking number to a different order (I thought something was fishy when Canada Post still hadn't received a shipping notice after 5 days and the EMS website said it was in New York, so I contacted them), and by the sounds of it, he isn't sent out yet.
Sigh.
Though reading the other mix up as well, MasahtiJade, I hope they didn't end up sending you my boy Kimi and I end up getting your girl! I doubt it, hopefully.

They did offer a solution that doesn't involve sending him back, so mod time! But don't worry Uenna, I'll wait for your order to come in, just in case.

 

Aw, you're so sweet! Though if it was a matter of them not even noticing that you asked for a female body, I think you're right in thinking that my boy is probably going to arrive as he should. I don't imagine mine will be shipping out for another couple of weeks since I asked for a face up, so if you want to get modding, I say go ahead. If there happens to be a mix up with mine somehow, AS will probably fix it for me, I'd hope lol.

Uenna, I'd hope so too. But no offense to AS, but from looking back at any minor problems they have had, they don't seem greatly willing to just ship the item back for free, etc. And I'm really in no hurry to do the mod. I wanna give her(him) a face-up first!
