That’s correct. The back is also a bit different in the 1.0. It doesn’t really allow a slouch because it’s missing the part in the middle.

I took out my dolls the other day for the first time in a while and actually took a decent photo of all my unoas- at least all my full fledged ones

 

@MaudMAryFlynn - That's a wonderful group that you have there! Really like the outfit on the left pink-haired one--very cute! Do you have any plans to add more full Unoas?

I just recently received a Unoa Sist and thought I would pop in here again. She's already one of my most favorite dolls ever and she doesn't even have a face-up yet (or proper eyes/clothes/wig)! Unoas just seem to have a special something to them and make very good company.

 

What a beautiful group, @MaudMAryFlynn! I love the idea of taking a group shot of all your dolls from the same company. You can really see the "family resemblance" even though they're all styled differently

I still haven't completed my paradise kit Sist, but I love playing with her. My wife recently started making resin/polymer eyes, and I'm really keen on getting her to help me make some that will work with the Unoa eyemech. I want her to have cute sparkly eyes but I really like being able to move them around so easily.

 

Definitely! It's my dream to own at least one of every of the 1/4 sculpts (I consider the elders and chibis to be 1/4 since they're similar in scale even if DoA doesn't )
Sist is my favorite sculpt! She's so versatile and charming- I can't wait to see yours!

Waah I haven't heard of people making custom eyes for the unoa eye mech before! That's so neat!

 

I guess I need to join this thread since I'm keeping my b-el. He is such a sweet heart of a hybrid, he has been on three bodies so far and looks great on all of them. I'm pretty sure he is keeping the souloid body because he looks great.

 

I've been contemplating a Souloid-Unoa hybrid for a while, so I'm a bit jelly, @SteamWitch xD

Oh! I did this same hybrid (girl body, B-el face) and I loved it too! Yours looks great!

So I've admired Unoas for a while now, but somehow only just discovered the elf ear attachments, which moved them from a want to a need haha. Now I have a Lusis faceplate and elf ears on their way~ I'm not super into the Unoa bodies though, so I'm going to make her my first hybrid, currently thinking I'll get a Leeke art body for her at some point

 

Hi does anyone know the neck size for their faceplates and headbacks? I was trying to find measurements but found nothing sadly.

Lusis has been my grail for so long. Bless the secondhand market and Unoalchemy for making Unoas more affordable and available.

Mine fits nicely on the Soulkid neck which is 7.7cm according to their measurements. Range of motion on that neck is very nice too.

Been less in love with my Lusis lately, so trying to play around with her before her next faceup and popped her in my DZ girl's wig. It's big on her, but I actually like both pink and the bob style on her. Admittedly, I'd forgotten I'd bought her these eyes and ordered her new ones too, under the impression that I only had her old blue/grey ones... >.>

 

I got some of the cute kitty ears for my b-el. I had to make some radical cuts in this wig so may make one specifically for him. Bloodbank is so cute he makes my cheeks hurt.
He is a Souldoll Souloid hybrid. He is a cyborg bloodbank for my vampires who dote on him already. He is going to be so spoiled when he arrives back in their den.

Hi! I'm in the process of buying an L-bi kit but the seller can't find the eye mechanism. Does anyone know if it's possible to order a replacement?

 

You can try asking Unoalchemy, or put a thread in the marketplace, most people don't use their mechanisms.

 

Does he have the same eye mechanism as the unoa girls? Or were his different? (Or, since he was the 1.5 prototype, do he and the 1.5 share and not the 1.0?)

 

The mechanism was identical for my 1.5 girls and Chibi, so I guess it's the same for boys as well.

 

1.0, 1.5 girls and 1.5 boys all have the same mechanism.

Why is it that right around the holidays my longing for dolls is always the strongest? I thought I could go another year or so before I seriously started looking to add a Unoa to my collection but now I'm not so sure.

 

@maddison3m Unoalchemy is closed in December, but you could still get yourself a late Xmas present in January ;]

Hi all!

I've been looking for an Unoa Lusis for some time now and was offered one to buy secondhand.

The doll has at least some of the guides that came with it as new, but the box is for Sis, not Lusis. The age of the doll is approximately 10 years, no receipts are left and there has been several owners.

Can you advise what to look in order to determine if she is legit or not?

 

A lot of the original dolls came with both Lusis and Sist default faceplates, so it being a Sist box isn't terribly surprising. I don't think that recasters ever bothered re-creating the instruction sheets or boxes, historically. A 10-yr-old Unoa is a pretty safe bet, especially if she's got several past known owners.

Do you have a photo of the box, by any chance?

That looks legit to me. All mine look like that, and I think it would be hard to copy that red fabric being so cheap looking. I wouldn't worry if the box says Sist, you may end up getting a Sist faceplate too.
