Unoas are slender minis, which is to say they are about the same height as the Volks MSD and similar dolls but proportioned in a more adult manner. Other slender minis include the Narindoll Narae and Narin, the Minifee line now sold at Fairydoll, and Limho and Limwha. Unoas take a 6/7 size wig.

    3. Oooh new Unoa thread! Here's my Lusis, Eun-soo :)

    4. New thread! My three faces of cyborg BB.

    5. Hi all! I just bought an Unoa Lusis and I've been trying to research where to get clothes for her, and all of the threads I've found are really old, and most of the links/shops are dead. Do y'all have any recommendations? I'm most interested in punk/gothic lolita-esque stuff, but honestly I'm looking into anything that fits and making a bookmark list!

    6. Hey everyone! If anyone was wondering when Alchemic Labo will start taking orders, I have an answer. They recently replied to me that they will hopefully be taking orders in May :)

      • x 1
    7. Thanks!! Unoa Alchemy said they are also opening again in May (likely because that's when Alchemic Labo is?).

Also, I got my Lusis in~

    8. I might have thought they were the same thing haha. Yeah the reply i got was also from Unoalchemy :D

    9. If I remember correctly, I believe Unoa Alchemy is an official distributor for Alchemic Labo? But, I'm not sure if they function independently of Alchemic Labo or not.

    10. So looks like they are not the same thing, and they only sell B-Grade kits. I had no idea :)

    11. It's so long until May! My Lusis needs a friend!

Cheddot asked for clothing shopping tips, I would also be interested in those. And any diy guides too!

I ordered some wigs for Lusis from Alices collections just around christmas and was very happy with the fit and quality.

    12. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but does this thread include the thinner girls like Bella? I get the bodies confused. :(

    13. As long as she is a mini girl I'm sure she is welcome.

I no longer have the cyborg body for BB but I still have the three heads. This one decided to come out to play. They are non-gender specific but tend to act more feminine though the body they are on is male. I'm just watching as they make decisions about how to act and what to look like. A name is in the works.

    14. Still no determined name or look but I tried this 5-6 wig on and it looks great.

    15. I got in my secondhand unoa a few weeks ago and her blushed hands and feet are turning green... I don't know how old she is but I took off the blushing on one foot and the resin seemed fine underneath. Has anyone else experienced this?

    16. Some sealants do turn colors, I used Testers and it seems to turn yellow over time making the doll look like it's yellowing when it's just the sealant. Who knows what sealant was originally used but it's good the resin is fine. That is why everyone seems to put up the the toxicity of MSC, it is a long lasting clear sealant. Use respiratory protection when using any sealant though.

    17. Hey everyone. Has anyone contacted Unoalchemy regarding August orders and heard back/received an invoice? It's my first time ordering through them and I emailed last Thursday, followed up this Wednesday and still havent heard back. Is this normal? Thanks!

    18. I have send them an email on the 28th of August and did not hear back as well:(

    19. With all the post they are making on IG it seems they are very busy.
      From their IG
Alchemiclabo are preparing to make many U-NOA products for the doll event "Doll Show57" in Asakusa, tokyo at 22, September, 2019.
So many sized, many kind of doll maker and dealer join in this doll event.

    20. Ah, good to know they are just busy then:)

    21. I am so happy they are offering tan skin now. It is beautiful!!! Unoa is my favourite bjd, for sure.
They are available to order now on Unoalchemy - Unoa distributor

    22. Still, so many years past away... I like this dolls, but have only small and plastic one Unoa Quluts Light.

    23. Hey all! I'm getting back into doll collecting and I just bought an L-bi! I'm so excited! He's been a grail doll for me for years. :)

    24. Looks like AL is considering new parts for the elder sister line. I’ve considered Belia in the past, but the new face they posted on IG looks closer to Cream/Mocha—my favorite Araki girl sculpt. If this means a doll akin to U-Noa 2nd that’s more proportional to the elder sister line is a potential release, well...:eusa_pray

      Pics can be found here.

    25. Thanks! It's good to be back! And glad to see the forums are still relatively active!

And @Fira-kun those legs though! The new body looks great! Is the head size what they're scaling to, or just that sculpt?

    26. I really like the new legs ! I had an Elder in the past and I really liked how delicate she was, but the new additions make her even prettier ! Not too fond of the new faces for now however.

My latest unoa pic for good measure. Please share more pics everyone !

    27. @Myra Judging from their recent posts, it’s an entirely new faceplate, along with legs and hands retrofitted for the elder body. I’m also waiting for some clearer pictures of the face, but from a distance it looks like a softer appearance, like the new 1/6 faces. Nothing’s guaranteed either, but AL felt it worthwhile to post pics, so...

That being said, anyone ever try putting a Cream/Mocha faceplate on an elder sister headback? I doubt it fits, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say they tried it either. The last comparison photo makes them look closer than I thought, but I’ve never seen them in person.

    28. Ahhh, update, I just got my L-Bi in. He's blank, yellowed, dirty, and a little stiff. I love him to effin' pieces!!! Pictures to come in the future when I get him dressed and face-uped.

Side note: does anyone know where to buy a teeth part?

    29. Hello! I'm new to the thread and have a chibi unoa :D

I'm wondering if anyone has an idea of when orders will be open again? I wanting to order a chibi with all the parts!

    30. @Biku_27

      I'm wondering the very same thing ; ;

      • x 1
    31. Finger crossed that orders open up!!

    32. Same here ;~;

    33. I've been waiting for orders to open up so I can get a headback for the lusis plate I was gifted from a friend for christmas, and to get the other lusis expressions *_*

    34. I'm also waiting for orders to open up again. I'd love to grab a couple of Fairy Skin Ange faceplates for a hybrid!
It would probably to rude to ask Unoalchemy when the next order period might be though...
Its been quite a while since they were last open for orders too, I hope everything is alright~

    35. I'm in love with Unoas, I'd love to get one one day. Are the bodies still single jointed though?

    36. @soda-and-doggos Unoas are amazing! I feel like everyone should try to experience them at least once during their time in the hobby, they are just so magical and captivating in a way that few other dolls really feel. I suppose others feel the same way since they've remained well known and beloved in the hobby for such a long time. I can't wait to own one again~ :aheartbea
Anyway, I believe all their current bodies have double jointed elbows now, but still single jointed knees. Its been a while since I had a Unoa body, but I remember it being somewhat limited in the amount of poses it could do, but what it could do was always quite elegant, natural and effortless looking~ There are tons of bodies to hybrid them onto with how popular slim MSDs have become now though.

      • x 1
    37. I don't know if anyone is active on here but has anyone else had a problem with the posing of their Unoa? I own a B-grade Lusis and she just cannot pose at all. She can't sit up straight and her legs are floppy, only her arms are posable to a good extent. I'm super confused because when I pull on her S hook I can feel a large amount of tension so its not like she's strung loosely. Any suggestions of what to do would be great ;;

And if the best option is restringing; are there any recommended types of elastic or places that sell strong elastic?

      • x 1
    38. Brand new Unoa owner here and I can confirm that posing them can be a liiiiittle wonky -- my girl (a 1.5 body, second hand) stands and sits fine but her wrists specifically are pretty limited. I think part of that is because of a bent s-hook in one of her hands but I won't be able to replace it for a while so that'll remain a mystery.

Mellifluous -- it sounds to me like there might be a problem with the way the elastic's knot is sitting in the chest cavity? Or maybe something with the little "bonus" torso piece that sits in the gap between the chest and hip pieces of the body. New elastic definitely couldn't hurt -- I've got some on the way from Luts but I'm sure you could get some that isn't "branded" for BJDs and have it work just fine. I believe these bodies use 3mm elastic cord? 5mm would probably be too big.

    39. Finally got my hands on a Lusis plate and a Lusis wink plate. They're shipping to me now, I'm so excited.

I have a question, though. Anyone who has these two plates, are the teeth parts the same interchangable piece? I have a friend who also has a Lusis plate but doesn't have a tooth part. I want to give her one of my tooth parts-- I really don't NEED two, I wouldn't mind moving the one back and forth between the two plates so long as it would fit. Is this possible?

    40. I guess they're interchangeable. I have just finished doing the faceups on my Lusis plates, I have all of them but Wink, and the OE and Sleep faces were brand new out of the package, and I have no idea which teeth part went with which. The dreaming one had had a faceup already so I knew which teeth part she had, and the Yawn has a tongue so that was easy...but the other two, who knows. Both teeth went in and even snapped in, and don't need putty to hold them, unlike pretty much all of my other FPs with teeth, so that was nice.

    41. Hello, Unoa Lusis has been really high on my list of dolls I'd love to own ever since I'd first seen a bjd. Since 9 out of 10 pictures in the database don't seem to work, can I please get some Lusis spam?

    42. Here is some !

    43. Aww! I love your girls! They are both equally adorable in their own ways.

    44. Well well... I am obsessed with Lusis and this is Jaime!

...And her twin that hasn't got a name yet. I'm waiting until she gets a new face-up... Not sure if she'll keep the Lusis faceplate or if I want Sist faceplates on her yet. ...So they all will be getting faceups. [Insert the Cash Flying Away emoji]

      Sorry for phone-quality pics. :)

I found a lot of inspo on Instagram, so I'd look for the #UnoaLusis tag here!

    45. Thank you ! I don't own the Paradise Skin faceplate anymore though ! She didn't stay long because she couldn't compete with the other one, but also because I initially planned on keeping the Sist (the girl from my avatar).

    46. I haven't done much with my BJDs for the last few years, but the pandemic coincided with my dog needing major surgery and 12 weeks of down time, so I've had time to play a bit. My Bully has been resurrected on a 1.0 body for the first time in years! It's good to see her face again!

    47. @wally I love your bully's look!!! I just got a bully fp recently and I can't wait to get a body for her. She's got so much attitude. :D
I hope your puppy is making a steady recovery. :aheartbea

    48. Such a cutie with that face and styling, @wally . Hope your pupper has a good recovery.<3

    49. Sorry for asking a question that may have been covered, but Unoalchemy.com is now defunct, correct? So any orders for unoa will have to be through japan only?

      • x 1
    50. I haven’t a clue what’s going on with unoa and the website, so I’m hoping for a reply too.

      • x 2
    51. In the wiki they are still listed as *on hiatus*, without any time frame given, did you see?

      • x 1
    52. Thank you. I didn’t see that.

But the site Itself doesn’t exist anymore.

The site used to be up, even when they were on hiatus, so I thought something changed.

      • x 1
    53. Yep, I think that you have a point there. As far as I remember they are here on DoA, maybe send them a friendly plea for an update? Since they run/ ran a business, they should not feel inconvenienced by people asking after it, right?

      • x 2
    54. Hi,

Ooh, I didn’t know they were on here. Good idea, I’ll try to send them a message. Thanks for letting me know.:)

      • x 1
    55. I think they are in the unoa freaks facebook group too, and it looks like their email is [email protected] if u wanna try that.

I just tried going to the website the other day, but saw it was gone xD I've been out of the doll world for a few years lol.

      • x 1
    56. I mean.... If they're on hiatus for an extended period of time, they probably don't want to be paying for website hosting for something that they're not using for revenue. I hope everything is well for them though.

    57. I’ve also been out of the doll world a few years but am looking to expand my Unoa family. Thanks for the info.
