xD Errr, i've never really poked my head in this thread before but I have all the reason to now as I quite spontaneously ordered an Annabeth on the ver1 boy body~
I was really regretting not ordering something from DIM first discount period so the second I saw they were doing one final sale I just jumped on it. I was kind of waffling back and forth over maybe just grabbing a Flowne head but for whatever reason Annabeth deeply captivated me despite it not being a sculpt I really ever noticed before. Its quite uncharacteristic for me to order dolls at random that I have no prior plans/characters for and I really have no idea what he'll be, but I had literally zero hesitation taking the plunge in ordering him despite that so I suppose i'll take it as a sign of fate that he is meant to be with me, even if I don't know the reason yet haha~

Congrats to all that have new orders in! DIM was always so nice to order from --- but I usually got confused. I will be appreciating vacariously and sitting this order period out, and hanging onto my Laia who hasn't visited in a while

 

Well I'm absolutely devastated, DiM isn't making available any of the sculpts I had planned to buy. I'm reconsidering even buying the body I was going to get at this point, I'm so upset.

 

Hello all!

With the last sale period, I ordered a Larina head! Finally! After many years of wanting one, I will finally have her!
There was an option to order her in white skin, so I did that. I'm hoping she will match Doll Chateau WS.

 

Ordered my Flowne head Hopefully her AE body will be here waiting for her when she arrives.

 

@Hyperion, my #1 sculpt isn't available either.

You can check the Waiting Room for that. The order list should give you some idea. But keep in mind they warned about longer waits for the event because they'll probably be getting loads of orders which will take longer to process.

 

I went ahead and ordered my Gayane! I was originally going to get the full doll, but with Christmas shopping right around the corner it wouldn't be reasonable, so I got the head only. I've wanted her for a while, I'm excited!

I ordered a Flowne elf head in white skin, something I've been wanting for a while. I was thinking of getting her a Dollzone 42cm B45-012 girl body. I haven't been able to find any resin comparisons from DiM and DZ white skin, so I may have to just take a chance.

Does anyone know what size eye Flowne wears?

 

@Hime_Takamura , I have a DiM Nicole head on a DZ white skin body and its a great match. I know Nicole had a different sculptor but since she was sold through DiM I assume she was cast in the same place.

 

@Cydril Thank you so much! How does the head fit on the neck? Will I need to mod the neck on the body?

 

The head fits great for Nicole, but I dont know how her measurements are compared to Flownes

I really wanted Lucinda, kinda bummed she was sold out this time. I picked up a Laia head instead.

 

I think Lucinda and Amelie both went out of stock at the beginning of the previous sale... it's a bummer, but I'm not surprised they're not available again.

I'm still debating on who I'm going to snag - either a Flowne, Annabeth, or Gayane.

 

Annabeeeeeth! Mine is on her way home, I was hoping to see her in person before placing my order, but as they didn't post an end date I guess that's not happening. I'm debating over Gayane on the #1 boy body to be Annabeth's older brother ... now that little sister Amelie won't be happening either.

 

Does anyone have any owner pictures of this head, I'd love to see what people have done with this sculpt. c:

I was wondering this too, since i ordered a flowne head, along with an ace and jullis head (and a happy boy v2 body for them all to temporarily share..!!)
if anyone knows the eye sizes for ace and jullis too, that'd be great! i'm guessing 14mm? but i won't be ordering their eyes for a while, lol

 

I have seen Fairyland Minifee, Dollzone MSD and DollChateau MSD work really well for the Happy heads ^^

 

I am getting a DollLeaves body which I have also seen used as a good hybrid.

 

@Cydril beautiful hybrid, thanks for showing!

@Bearpeach Some hybrids will fit well but not resin match well. If you are concerned with finding a close resin color it will be more difficult. I received a heads from the recent order period this summer and the resin color is exceptionally light and pink.

If I remember correctly I've heard many say that Dollzone / Dollchateau normal pink could be a good color match, but I've heard that their resins vary in color over time. I've definitely seen hybrids with Fairyland but I believe the Doll in Mind heads had to be blushed darker to match.

Dollzone's new pink is a pretty good match, the old pink matches better, but it's a pretty good match still. Lighting makes a big difference though, in person it's a decent match and some photos look great, but others really show off the difference.
I have my Larina on a dollzone pink body

 

Loongsoul pink is a good match too. I'm saving up for the new Wanwan body for one of my girls.
