Ooh, new thread. Just gonna drop a photo of my Miru boy, Charlie. Sorry, he is not as sweet as ludens' girl. xD

Charlie is awesome!! I hope to order a Miru head for a Narsha body someday. I just ordered the Miso head. I didn't want to miss out on it. I'm sorry that they don't work with DDE anymore. I hoping Miso will work on an Iplehouse KID body.

Coming out of lurk-mode (briefly?) to celebrate the new thread and say how much I enjoy seeing everyone's wonderful pictures!

And also to share a picture of my Julia from DiM's J. Baek line, so anyone thinking about snatching one of these cuties up while they still can, at least has a bit more reference. She's still only halfway into her face-up, despite having arrived quite a while ago now, but otherwise it might be many more weeks again before I could share her with you guys.

The J. Baek heads areever so tiny! And beautiful too: so glad I added her to my order in the end.

I've actually even got her on an IpleHouse KID body, which works fine, as her head is pretty much the same size as IH's Lonnie. She just has some more "mature" features, like her nose and a more elongated face which makes it bigger (both in appearance and also slightly in size). (In my face-up I tried to make her look as young as I could, though)
To show how small her head is: she's wearing a 5-6" Monique wig there (granted, those have quite a lot of stretch in them.)
Technically, because of the KID body my Julia is YO-SD size, so I'm not sure if I can continue posting her here?

 

Oh! So pretty! So happy to hear that they will work on the KID body. Guess I will go ahead and put one on layaway. I'm never sure which thread hybrids should be posted in.

 

She is so pretty! I think that if the head is from DiM's Happy line, you can continue posting here ^_^

And yes, I'd agree, as long as part of the doll is from DiM, you should be able to post it here. I always like to see hybrids.

Speaking of weird hybrids, I modded a DiM Seet Aria head to fit MSD bodies. Does she belong in here now?

 

Oh, I was wondering if that was possible! What did you have to do to make it work? I might talk myself into sanding something, but additive mods mean painting it and matching the color exactly right and... ugh.

Wanted so show a pic of my girl Minori, she finally got a faceup and I'm so in love with her.

@thessalyrose and cewie, I had to use a dremel to make her neck opening waaay wider, then I used apoxie sculpt to strengthen the resin around the dremeled parts and get the hole back into the right shape, with the groove for an s-hook and all that. I havent bothered to paint the mods because you cant see it from the outside really, lol. She still needs a little work.
She's on a dollstown 5 years body. Her head is so huge I think it would look ok on an sd body too.

Question for you guys. My Miso just arrived today, but I can't find her high-heeled feet anywhere in the box or the bubblewrap/packaging. Does DIM hide them someplace I maybe haven't looked?

ETA: D'oh. Found them in her box, shoved way into the foam slot above her head. Whew! False alarm. Carry on...

I don't know if you still remember me from early in the previous thread but I finally found the right wig for my still unnamed (shame on me) girl. Gone is that temporary brown wig. Now all she needs is her face-up; which I can start on as soon as the protection mask (forgot the correct term for it , respiratory?) gets here and the weather clears up. After that I can finally take her to the nearby park; which has a tiny forest-area for some decent pictures~

As for the question I got back then ; she's on the Doll chateau body.
I also know the wig has a lot of fly-aways but it's in-character for her. I doubt something similar to a forest sprite would keep her hair very neatly and comb it daily. :p

I have also been looking at hybridizing my DIM head with an Aquarius body… What color resin is the body? Normal skin? The match looks very good! Does the head fit good on the neck? After seeing your picture I think I'm definitely gonna get me a Aquarius body! Thank you!

 

DIM NS doesn't really match Luts NS; DIM is more pink, while Luts is more yellow. I have a really recent (April 2014) DIM Miso and an October 2013 Luts SDF, both in their companies' respective NS resins.

 

Sorry if I've jumped in the wrong thread, but I have been unable to find any owner pictures of DIM's GSE Ekaterina. I'm seriously considering her for a sister to my JID Owen boy given her features and a posing review of the body I saw. Anyone have any spam perchance?

I'm also finding their site a bit confusing (regarding the event if nothing else). Yep ... still a newb to this ordering thing and finding threads on DoA. Whoops.

(Also I love all these DIM happy kids and hybrids--they don't fit into my collection plans, but what little personalities!!)

 

I am loving all the spam and actually have something to add: my Larina received her face-up this weekend after spending over 2 months without one on a bookshelve. I had trouble seeing what I wanted to do with her. Finally this weekend I just started and this is the result - what do you think?

Athenril - thank you . I buy my eyes on ebay from Mybayer2008 - their glass eyes, 12mm - these are brown with golden glitters in them. I tend to wait until they have a sale - and buy them for a price around 7,50 dollar including the shipping. Not bad for eyes that I like very much. Larina and Benetia have the same but with different colours.

I got a shipping notice for my Miso head. I'm super excited! It will be a while before her body comes. Iplehouse is way backed up on their orders. Wish I had the funds to order more DIM heads on my wishlist while they are on sale, but doesn't look like that is going to happen. Next time.

Dancing Bee - Congrats on your Miso head coming and I know how you feel. I would love to get some heads too (Flowne, Laia and Bellosse perhaps) but I am out of money and have too many floating heads that need bodies first... next time hopefully...

 

DancingBee, you're hybriding with an Iplehouse body? I want to see it! O: How cool is that! Usually people hybrid DiM dolls with more delicate bodies like DC, but I think a healthy Iple bod would look awesome, too.

I love Charlie! What a great camera. I'm going to use a KID body. The JID is too curvy for me. I used to have a Kassia, but I never played with her, so she went bye bye.

Miso sailed right through customs and arrived today. I have a normal skin Iplehouse boy KID body on layaway for her, but I put her on my white skin girl body. I think the skintone is actually a pretty good match. I do think that the head is a touch too big. I might look into a Minifee body for her. Not sure. Have to think about it. Here she is.

DancingBee, she is so sweet! I recently received my Miso too, but I haven't found her "look" yet, so no photos. I love yours! Miso just has the best face -- she makes me so happy!

 

Got my girl the other day and carved out the time to get her first face up done. I'm not 100% on it, maybe ill re do the eyebrows, but it'll do for now! Still need to finish her tat's and maybe make her a two toned psychobilly wig but all things in time.

The resin match isn't perfect, but it's pretty close to the pinkish snow skin body with some blushing. I love her to bits, her face is so well sculpted, though her faceplate magnets aren't very strong.

 

Hello- just popping in. I'm new to mini dolls, but I have a couple planned for the future. I wanted to know if anyone knows if the Flowne head (the elf eared one) fits the new happy girl body? I need a less mature body, and I'm not sure I want to mess with a minifee hybrid! I'm just wondering, because I think I see some discrepancies in the neck sizes- but again- I have no experience here. Are there any other bodies that can hybridize besides doll chateau? I'm also really hoping that they don't discontinue flowne anytime.. she seems popular enough? Worried she'll be too tall for her fraternal twin (male) who is being planned...

 

DIM will tell you it fits, I modded the neck of the new girl body for a head that was meant for it... (rounded the top and made it slope off a bit)... Larina or Benetia did not make a difference in how they fit on the neck (Benetia was released with the same older body as Flowne). But there are plenty of people who don't think it is a problem. With the sanding the head will have a better range of motion.
