Hi everyone. I just wanted to share that my Micheal arrived today. He is absolutely gorgeous. I am in love.

My Cain head arrived about 2 weeks (or more) ago very suddenly, before I got a shipping notice or the status of my order had updated. Granado Chocolate is a really good match to the dark brown LoongSoul used for Black Dragon, but I think he needs a neck donut or something because the neck hole on Cain's head is a bit wider than Black Dragon's, and much, much deeper. Any suggestions on where/how I can find/make one?

 

Did you see the new Granado event with a new 70cm and 49cm Acsent bodies?

 

Yes, and the 49 Shadow is a temptation that I cannot afford *sigh*. I purchased the limited Luts unicorn boy and after adding in a face-up, shipping and the hideous US/CAN exchange rate, I'm out of buying anything resin for a good long while (he worked out to be nearly rent for me *winces*).

 

I'm truing to decide between Shadow and Ninth! I would like to get the 70cm also but that may be too much!

 

Does anyone know the neck width of the 70cm Absent and Vigor bodies? I am wanting to get a body for my blood wood Duke head but can't find the measurements for those bodies on the granado website.

 

The website says they don’t have exact measurements of the 70 cm Ascent body yet. But they are very good about answering questions.

 

They said for a rough estimate multiply the 49cm measurements by 1.43 if I remember correctly.

 

Ohhhh a Michael! My primary male doll used to be shelled as that sculpt before sizing issues made me decide Noah was a better fit. Great to see Michael still gets some love.

I've used this tutorial for two of my hybrids, and it works a treat!

When you tried to do a sappy Valentines-esque photoshoot, but ended up with an album cover of a metal band instead. Camera angles (and killer heels on the two women) make their height difference less than it looks.

I have little patience sewing modern male clothing, so I tend to just order them pre-made for mixing and matching. With the popularity of the 75cm size these days, it's actually easier than before to browse certain types of outfits that fit without trying.

 

He might not need the glasses, but he does look very good in them.

 

what size neck does the granado big boys have? what size wigs do they wear?
I am trying to find heads with a 12.5 neck

 

The 75cm body has a 12.8cm neck. The measurements are on the body listing.

Teehee, looks like those glasses are there to stay on his permanent getup already, fits him too well. XD I actually bought a second Noah head during the recent anniv event, because I'd like to give Guórén a warpaint version just like his favorite gal.

 

Oooh a warpaint version would look awesome!

 

I finally had enough confidence in my faceup skills to redo my first Noah's faceup. My second Noah head (for his warpaint version) actually arrived within 1 month of ordering during the event period, which was record time for any company I've encountered so far.

@Girrl Learning faceups wasn't even on my timetable until I was pushed by a not-so-good experience sending heads out to be painted. At least I can already fix chipped makeup without having to wait in line for slots.

Perhaps my search skills are flagging, but hopefully it’s ok to ask here as I can’t find too much info that is from this year.

How often does Granado open their sales on their website at the moment? They had an event in May, which I missed, but wondered if they are likely to open head sales again this year?

Sorry if this is a repeat question.

 

Their actual heads tend to the tiny side for 1/3 dolls. But size varies. Which sculpt are you wondering about?

 

Does anyone have a Granado and a Doll Family H in normal yellow and can compare the resins for me? Granado has a body I'm hoping to use with my DFH head but I don't know if the resins match (posting this to the other company's thread as well so sorry for the cross posting!)

 

DF-H's yellow might be pretty liight, their Pink is like petal white. But that means the head would work, because it can be blushed to match the body. Hybrids are always easier to me if the head is the light part because you just use the faceup to tint it to match the body.

 

If it helps, I made this comparison photo of DF-H Normal Pink with recent Granado New Normal before. Colors are not 100% a match, but definitely workable with blushing.

While I'm at it, here's Warpaint-Noah with his girls. He badly needs his torso piece blushed like my Iple Scarlet and Mari (and maybe his jointed hands too), but I get lazy just thinking about having to unstring that heavy bod.

Does anyone happen to have photos of a Neptune with company faceup? Preferably the without beard version. I have a secondhand Neptune on the way and I think he has company faceup but am uncertain. I'm having difficulty finding owner photos of Neptune with company faceup. And not sure how well Granado faceups look in comparison to company photos.

 

I would like to ask, does any of you have hybrid of Iplehouse or SartoriaJ head on Male 49Adagio2 body? I wonder if it's possible and if there is any color match (except normal skin) between Granado resin with these two companies. Thanks in advance for any reply.

 

I ordered the 49Adagio2 body but I don't have it yet. I do have the 49Ascent body and Sartoria and Iplehouse boys. I could only help with normal or white skin comparisons.

 

I checked that the Ascent body has similar measurements like Adagio. So if you will be willing to take some pictures with SartoriaJ's and Iplehouse's head on the Granado body I would be really grateful . I would like to see if it makes sense to do such a hybrid. Thank you very much in advance.

Neptune arrived! Still unsure if this is company faceup or not. I'm leaning towards it is based on brows. He has an unfortunate chip in said brows but I'll hopefully turn that into a scar~

Hi all, I'm wondering if I could hybrid an Island Doll Odin head to a Granado Evol70 body. The neck size seems like a pretty good match at 12/11.8cm, but I am unsure about the resin match. Does anyone have a combination of Island Doll and Granado by any chance?

I did some quick searching and I have a couple ideas for you:
1: Gamble and get a vindoll body in normal and the island doll head in island there's a good picture of island in this thread /threads/dol...r-normal-yellow-or-pink.718291/#post-11971036
2: I saw when I poked around that island doll resin matches, you could obviously ask a dealer if it's possible for them to match whatever granado resin tone you like.

 

Thank you for the suggestions! It does look like Island Doll Island skin would be close to Granado normal or maybe one shade darker, so I might get lucky. Sunburned and Granado tan seem pretty close as well. But I‘ll definitely try to find out if Island Doll can resin match!

 

Island Doll resin is ever so slightly transparent, but a bit of blushing could mask that neatly if you get a good color match otherwise.

 

Hi guys...has anyone here an Adagio 70cm body and bought an outfit from Sadol for it?
I want to order their newest one, but I feel like none of the bodies in the drop-down menu really fits. Sadol themselves said the closest might be the Switch 70 Attractive, but comparing them the Adagio is too chunky at the important parts (like hips/waist...so the pants will certainly not fit).

Spent so much time yesterday clicking through the bodies, but I have the bad feeling none really work.

Edit: Decided against the outfit now, for that price I really expect something that fits-fits, and not just half of it or whatever
