Musume, thank you! I'm loving my new girl Yes, I think they look good together. Their heads are the same size (WD and Rosette).

May I please request some Taren spam ? I've recently found Withdoll and have become a little obsessed with the boys !

 

So much withdoll! Does anyone have the withdoll Rachel or the jude/juwel/belun? I know those are in the basic section and they look so cool!

I just got my Withdoll Eliza, and wanted to share her with ya'll :-)

She's my first Withdoll, and she's so beautiful! I am really impressed with their product.

I ordered her at the beginning of February and got her about..2 weeks ago I want to say. She's gorgeous, and is really well made! I can see some sanding marks on her arms, but I'm okay with that. She is fitting in well with my larger dolls :-)

 

Oh that's awesome. I ordered my Ruby blank mid Feb and still waiting.

Glad she's fitting in well! She tempted me when I first saw her too. I can live vicariously through you haha

Musume, ​she looks great! I love the scarf and she looks great with that wig!

 

She looks so cool! What eyes do you recommend? Cuz I was thinking of simple Brown or black eyes since my emphasis wad the hair and make up. Would low dome glad eyes work? Like mako? Or should I just play safe with eyeco?

 

A little late to the party, but on the subject of what clothes fit, we discussed the girl fits in one of the early discussion threads (probably the second one but I can't find those posts right now). The verdict was that MNF and similar sizes fit well when it comes to regular shirts, pants and skirts. But if the clothes are very fitted, mnf tops will be too tight for large bust wd girls, and tight wd pants will be too tight for MNF girls. They're roughly the same size but WD's have bigger chests and smaller hips. The leg length isn't that much different because MNF's have mile long legs and squished torsos, so pants should be mostly fine length wise. :3
As for the boys, my DZ 1/4 old body boys pretty much wear the same clothes my WD boy does. The shirts are a bit loose but with casual clothes it doesn't matter much. My boy can also wear some of the more loose shirts I've made for my Naraes. xP

periwinklestars, Oh that's cool seeing so many different sized msds with WD. C: I have some comparisons too, but my msd collection is more limited to certain sizes so there's not as much variation.

samson, Ah, I have a Taren (though if you've looked through the thread you've probably seen him already). I'm trying to get inspired to take some new photos of him. :3

Mazokugirl451, Congrats on your Eliza! I'd love to see a closer photo of her face, too. :3

Musume, Coco looks so nice with that blond wig and the white and blue knitwork suits her.

Star*Hero, I don't have a basic Rachel, but from the makos I've owned, I'd say there's a possibility that the dome is a little high and that the eye will sit somewhat deep in the eyewell. However, they're relatively flat in comparison to many other brands so depending on the colour, they might show up just fine (lighter colours especially). Their smallest size is 12mm, which might make Rachel a little dreamy looking, though, because the irises will be pretty big for her small eyes. Brands with smaller irises might be better depending on the look you want for your girl. :3

And on a random note: I'm dying to get those basic Nei/Mai loafer shoe feet for Min Ki. They'd be so perfect for him!

 

Yenna​ Oh yes I have most definitely seen your Taren ( Min Ki) He's most of the reason I'm interested in the sculpt,but I really can't decide between Taren, Aiden or Mai ???????

ARose: How cute is she! Definitely looks young to be on that mature body but I guess some people like that based on some of the other BJDs (Looking at you Fairyland haha)

The eyes she came with are SUPER dark, so I'll be looking for something lighter. She has a second outfit that Musume actually made, that I don't have a lot of photos of yet (Musume, do you still want me to send you pics of her in them via PM?)

 

Oh she is hauntingly beautiful! I bet she'd look amazing with some ice blue eyes. I was SO tempted by her but open mouths put me off (nothing wrong with them, they are beautiful... just every open mouth doll I had I couldn't bond to).

Your picture makes me home sick (I'm from PA, near Pittsburgh but I live in LA now). It's so pretty.

 

I'm almost free from finals here... I've been enjoying all the photos everyone's been posting during my quick study-break lurks through here, though! All these girls especially make me tempted to figure out how to work in a WD girl somewhere... (nooo I have so many others to get first!)

I did take a quick break to snap a photo of Jace in his new wig and eyes, though. It's a little washed out, sadly; I'm still learning this camera. But I still think it shows that things fit him much better now that he's switched to a YO-wig and 10mm eyes:

So many interesting dolls in here!

I was finally able to open up my Aiden (he arrived two weeks ago, but I've been out of town):

He won't be keeping this wig or these eyes, but they'll do for now. And I was surprised by how skinny he is - much tinier than I expected! But such interesting joints! Especially those hips - I've never seen anything like that before!

 

Hervoyel​​​- He's lovely ! Is he brown tan ? If so how do you find the colour ? More spam would be great

 

Thanks! He's the dark brown UV. It's a nice colour - solid but with a slight translucence to it. This is how it compares to Iplehouse's ebony and Illusion Spirit's tan - it's right in between the two in terms of shade, I think:

@Call Me Stephanie- aww, sorry to make you homesick :-( I'm from New Castle, which is about an hour from Pittsburgh proper.

@Musume- she's wearing your dress right now, I'll take some photos when I get home from work!

The only thing I don't like about the doll are her feet joints...I was putting on shoes the other day and the string just came off the foot and up into the body! It took me half an hour to get it back into place, because I've only restrung a doll once. I'm actually afraid because I got her high heeled shoes that will be coming soon, and I'll have to change her into her high heeled feet! Urgh.

I may tighten her up while i'm there, actually, because she's a little stretchy.

And ya'll will enjoy this: My dog is TERRIFIED of her! It's so weird because the other dog doesn't care, and she doesn't mind the 1/3 dolls I have, but this Eliza scares the ever-loving crap outta her! Like, leaves-the-room-and-won't-come-back-until-I-put-her-away scared. I'm not sure what's different about her...

Musume: That's such a shame but I guess it makes sense. I'll know in the future.


Yenna: That's exactly what I was wondering. It looks like they have some variation in proportions (as all dolls do), but not enough to cause trouble when looking for clothes for them. It looks like my Carlos (Kyle) will fit perfectly into his labcoat.


Hervoyel: Thank you SO SO much for the shot of your doll. I've ordered one in Dark Brown UV and Brown Tan UV and it's really nice getting to see an owner photo of Dark Brown UV. I don't think the doll I ordered will be too tan for my project at all! I was so worried about it but he looks PERFECT. Your doll is just gorgeous. Congrats.

 

It's ok, I'm going to visit June and July. Probably going to see if there's a Pittsburgh meet up, used to go to them. I'm from outside Johnstown/Ebensburg.

I am planing on getting my Ruby new eyes since I only have the pair she came with. Do any of you know what size fits her best?

I love to see pics of your doll in her outfit. With my broken wrist, I was unable to dress my Luna in hers. Instead, she's wearing a simple slip on thing. I also had to put a too-big wig on her for now. I think the Lunas are so beautiful. Your wig is great

 

Thank you. and that wig is huuuge on her, but I knew that would happen since it's a Leeke. I'd rather it be too big and still be able to use it than get one too small that I can't use.

I thought that was who she was... I didn't know she had an open mouth... I usually hate open mouths... I hope I don't end up hating my incoming Ruby. :/ Not that it feels she'll ever come. Not sure I'll ever order from WD again. >_<

 

Call Me Stephanie, she doesn't really have an open mouth (At least I don't think so). I think it's because of the angle and her nude pouty lips that make it seam like she has an open mouth. How long have you been waiting for her?

Lylith, Congrats on your boy. He certainly has a style of his own, did you make the outfit?

Call Me Stephanie, Ruby's mouth is slightly open and there's a space to paint teeth in. But because of the shape of the lips, they can also not be painted in and you won't really be able to tell that the mouth is open. I don't like open mouths either, but I do love my Ruby because the lips are so full and cute. She doesn't get that -expression many open mouth dolls tend to have. Also, if you only finished the layaway last month, you've officially been waiting for her for a month, which is not a long time at all. Did you order her with a face up? I'm pretty sure she should be shipping within this month.

 

Yenna Thank you! He's all I wanted and more, I am really happy with him. It took me almost 2 years to find the right sculpt+body for the character I had in mind.

The Outfit was made by Marishka/Beyond wonderland after a picture of an old drawing of mine. She's really talented and the sewing is high quality, I'd recommend her to everyone.

Musume Hi! Thank you a lot, I'm glad you like him too. And yes I did all the golden details. His foot and arm also has mehendi patterns. I did that to otehr dolls and it's always really fun.

Okay guys I need your help. I have been looking at these oval flat back glass eyes. I have a Ruby. Do I get 12mm or would the 10mm look ok?

 

Karlie23 Usually the 12mm would do the trick but Ruby has small eyes, like Taren. The 10mm ones would give you morewhite space and it's easier to have her looking to the side or up that way. My Mei has oval/flat back eyes and he's using 12mm ones.

 

12mm will be just right. I'm pretty certain 10mm will gap because her eyes are quite large.

Thats what would happen to me. Every time I asked they would say this week or next. Mine took about two to three months to get here. And I had a faceup. Just be patient, the wait is so worth it!!

 

I can't wait for her real wig to get here!

And I'm dying for a WD Cathy. She's so pretty... If only I had an endless money pot
