Withdoll Mini Discussion - Part 5

I've decided to get a basic edition Juwel in the near future, so I'm curious if anyone knows his head measurement? I want to know if the wigs I already have will work and if he'll look ok next to my other msd girl >&#969;<

 

So happy~! Malik got home today from getting his faceup done. I'm going to have to work a bit on taming his wig but I'm so happy with how he turned out.

 

@lemonlime: My Juwel wears a 7/8 wig and it fits him greatly. I have some photos of him with another MSD girl in my flickr, but the girl is a Dollmore Catish (and she's slightly bigger than most female MSD)
@Zia89: Malik is gorgeous! And I love his turtleneck sweater, fits strangely well with his untamed wig.

Some help with choosing eyes?
I got for my Uliat black sclera eyes with a white-grey iris, they look great but they are really difficult to put in place (they are high-domed and the higher part touches the half- open-eyes eyelid) and a pain to show in photos. For this photo I had to put a led lamp in front of him!

I tried for him these acrylic Pabol eyes and now I'm torn between the two pairs: I'll probably make a final decision when Uliat will have his face-up, but not I'm really curious about what one do you like best!

My Aiden, or Emil as I found out recently, is still sitting around without a faceup. He looks lovely without it so it's not much of a bother either :P I will get him one, I just have to redo a few things since he did a bit of a 180 upon arriving here and now is a bit of a different guy than I'd planned on so I have to figure out his appearance all over again XD

 

Hello everyone! I just finished reading through this entire thread... (Lot of really good information in here!). I just put down the down payment on two Withdolls, they'll be the second and third BJDs I ever owned! An Aiden in Brown Tan UV and a Kyle in Dark Brown UV. I don't think I've been this excited in months, and I still have three months to go!

I have been reading this tread through and it has been helpfull! I desided that my next doll will be a boy from Withdoll. But it is so hard to choose only one! And thanks to all of the pretty pictures I wan´t some of the girls too! Anyway I trying to choose between Kyle and Aidan. But Witch maid Emma is suddenly awailable again and I want her too! And then there is pretty Witch maid Ruby... She has so stunning face. I am so greedy. And I don´t have enough money to buy them all.

I think that Kyle could be the one. Maybe.

So... I'm confused. Wrote a message to WD and made it password protected because my address was in the message (had to message them because they got my new address wrong)... I see that they replied to my message but when I go to read it, it tells me the password is wrong. I'm so confused. T_T I wish I could see what they wrong 'cause I also asked when they thought they'd be shipping her.

 

Got my Beau (Withdoll aiden) back after send him out to get freckles added to the Withdoll default face up and I must say their real skin is made for freckles

ETA: LOL, you said that and I tried and first time it worked. They fixed my address and said it should ship next week. Fingers crossed it does... I ordered in Feb... though I'm not sure if they are a company who waits to start an order AFTER layaway is finished or if they start an order once you pay the first installment.

 

Yea see it's weird. I think it has to do with their password length limits.
Uh, I irdered my Aiden on layaway during their event last June (July?) and it took like...4 months? 2.5-3 of those months being them telling me their gonna send it out next week when they didn't. It took until I told them I was moving cross country xD

 

Wheatear: Thanks! I know I sure couldn't decide between them... If I had to get one, I'd probably get Aiden though, he's got such a masculine sculpt with his square jaw and I love that. Not enough masculine MSDs, I don't think. Kyle is really handsome too, though, with those partially lidded eyes and them LIPS. XD


Musume: I'm really excited about their tan skins. They have the most unique tans of any company I've ever seen... I think they'll be gorgeous and perfect for the specific characters I have in mind.


ARoseInTime: Wooooow, he's gorgeous! Those freckles really looks great on him. I think it did wonders for the face. I wasn't a huge fan of the default faceup on their company photos, but those freckles really bring it together.


Stephanie, I think I read them say somewhere on the site that they start once you pay the first installment, but I think that's unlikely to be true, judging from some of the wait times.


ARoseInTime: Ouch, I hope my boys don't take that long to arrive! I was going to do a two month layaway, but now I'm scrambling to pay it off as soon as I can to try to hasten their arrival. I'm hoping to have them here by early July, but I might be just being hopeful.

Also, I have a question. (hope I'm not bothering) If I were to put glasses on Kyle and Aiden, should I buy 1/6 glasses or 1/4? I know they have small heads... I'm thinking the 1/6 glasses.

xD Yea, it says like...45 days, so after 50-60 days I started asking. But it took awhile. And you got two dolls...both in Brown...it's gonna take you a bit ^^


Uh, same size you'd get a mnf's?
my Aiden and my incoming mnf (who actually owns the white wig in the photo of my Aiden) share the same wig so i'd imagine the glasses size being similar

 

moondream6, I have a few pairs of YO-size glasses I can dig out and try on my Kyle, if that's any help for you! I'm pretty sure they'll be a good fit, though. I just got a new YO-size wig for Jace and it's now a perfect fit! (I hope to have time to share photos soon!)

Rose, Vicemage, Musume, thanks for the information! I almost bought ALL their stuff before they arrived (so glad I didn't. As it stands, I have two pairs of glasses and wigs in the wrong sizes prepared... XD) Luckily I waited until I ordered and read this post to buy their eyes! I never would have bought eyes in the proper sizes. x_x It's really helpful (and a little odd o.o) to know that I need to buy Yo-SD size stuff for their heads and MSD stuff for their bodies. XD Still though, it's worth the newbie stumbling blocks for those faces! And those TANS ugh . I'm so excited. XD I'll be excited for a lonnnnng time, it looks like.

Just finished the face-up for Uliat. I'm not really satisfied with the eyebrows e he still needs eyelashes (I tried to made some using hair cut from his wig, but they ended being awful), but it's a starting.

I have a question about the heel feet for those of you who have these dolls. Do they send you like the bootie parts or is there a barefoot heel foot they send you? And, if there's no barefoot heel part, does the flat foot fit in the shoes they sell on the site?

They having a sale on the body and planning on getting her. Another question about the feet size? Are the Withdoll Feet smaller (narrow) than Soom's little gem's wide feet?

 

Musume already answered, but we have a few photos of the different WD shoes here. You can see the high heel foot in the third photo without a shoe. Those and flat feet come with all girl dolls.

As long as the Soom resin isn't heavily yellowed, it will match. We have a comparison here (the non-yellowed 2009 hand is a match to new soom dolls). And this person has a Goss head on a WD girl body. There are some more photos in their gallery too. And yes the feet are narrower, as is the whole body.

I am gonna make an order pretty soon since they have a sale! I finally desided that I am gonna order Aiden and Ruby. Ruby looks better with a doll I currently own than Emma. But now I am wondering about the skincolor! Are there any comparison pictures about normal skin and rosewhite skin? I want pale skin but not white. I am not sure is normal too dark or rosewhite too pink. I found few pics that have bodyparts but are there any with whole dolls or heads?

So today I got a package in the mail that I had no idea what it was. It said 'doll' on the customs form. I opened it up and it turned out to be another pair of fullset Luna pants. I have no idea why Withdoll sent them to me. I'm wondering if they meant to send them to someone else. I never got an email from them. I'm going to contact them to ask, but for now I have two pairs of Lunas pants. woo?

I actually just took them out of the package and the belts are different than what came on the ones that I got with my doll. The one my Luna came with was all undone and the belts were mega long. These ones are all attached looking like they should be. either way, still contacting them just in case.

 

LuckyXIII, maybe it was a replacement for the pair of the fullset that was defective for your order (even if you didn't ask for it)?

Well, I made some quick clothing for Uliat and finally put him with the rest of my resin family. He still needs his horns (he is based on an albino D&D tiefling played by a friend), white eyelashes and his boots, but I'm so happy to have finally freed him form the box and enjoy him!

I just heard back from WD. They said I got "pennies from Heaven". It was a oops on their end but that I get to keep the pants. So yay for limited freebies! Now if only I had another doll who could wear them. My other msd are too big!

Hello guys! I'm new to this hobby and got the Withdoll Ruby as my first doll. I still have a lot of work to do with her. I'm in the process of making her clothes and a wig on the way!

Kinda..kinda not. My mnf m-line loose sweater from smpdoll (which they on't selll anymore) fits my boy and so do my mnf lacing stockings. the wrist area is a little tight on the sweater and the thighs a little tight on the stockings.
They're like..a little bigger than slim, but have to wear regular msd shirts cause they're so broad? I don't have any other mnf clothing yet.

It's actually loose around the waist/not fitting and a wee bit loose around the chest area, but the shoulders fill it lol.

The boys at least are definitely way too tall for any MNF pants (I picked WD in part because of the huge height contrast between him and his MNF boyfriend, in fact); I can't speak for the girls as I don't have one. My group pool of clothes has fit Jace just as well as it does anyone else, and there's always adjustments that can be made, as well.

Just wanted to hop in and share a new picture I took of my girl. Finally got her restrung on the temporary body, so that she could properly stand. The pumpkin head is rather heavy, so she needed to be tighter.
Still working on getting her actual body, but at least she's whole for now. &#9829;

I think this summer, around my birthday, I should be able to put in the order for her body. (Dollzone is taking about 5-6 months to ship though, so she might not be complete until December or so. :< )

WD are taller and skinnier than MNF. I don't have a girl MNF to take comparison pics with but I've seen and heard about the comparison between the two. So a WD girl could wear MNF clothes, but the pants will be too short and a little big. Not sure how the boys compare. The only msd girl I have is an Iplehouse JID. Much too big! I also have a Soom msd and the boy and girl bodies are the same size and they are also much too big to share clothes with WD msds.

 

Whenever my MNF head finally decides to show up, I'll definitely be bringing in some body comparisons between the boys! I only have headless comparisons right now, but the WD boy body is considerably taller than the MNF boy. They do seem to be fairly similar girths, though, so could possibly share shirts and shorts.

I have a few different kinds of MSD's. I will try to undress them and take a comparison pic for everyone. I have mostly slim MSD's so most of them can wear pretty much the same clothes, with a few exceptions. I broke my right wrist (dominant hand), so everything is very challenging, but I will see what I can do in the next day or so.

Call Me Stephanie, they are just a little smaller, curvier with a thinner waist and smaller feet that fit the Tonner shoes.
