What is the meaning behind your DOA username?

mimi is just a short nickname to my first name miyaku then hime because im japanese and im known for being a weeb/hentai queen , mimi the weeb queen, also some of my friends and bf just call me princess unironically

 

Averia is actually named after one of my BJDs, but there’s also a reason why I chose this name for a BJD. I was at one point, an obsessed fan of Final Fantasy XIII’s Lightning. When I found out that she was supposed to be named Averia instead of Claire Farron, I found it nice and I figured I’d adapt it and give it a new identity. I also have a BJD named Claire though, so it just shows how much of a fan I am of her.

 

Matafleur (a.k.a. Flamestrike) is a female red dragon in the Dragonlance book series. Her part is very small, but I cried the first time I read it, and the name stuck with me.

She fought many battles when young, and retired when she lost her brood to war, taking refuge in a fortress and protecting humans there. She grows old and is pretty much senile (to the point of calling the humans there her "children") when the fortress is attacked by an army with a much younger and stronger dragon. Her will to defend her "children" is so strong she fights the younger dragon and charges with him to the side of a mountain, knocking it down and burying the both of them, saving the humans there.

 

I'm studying Korean and my username on tumblr and discord is "taichas" which means Thai Tea in Korean. My favorite drink!

 

Honestly..? I just really like teeth lol. I have a mini collection of human teeth (mostly my friend’s!) and I just think it sounds nice

 

Helg is a name of my doll. He embodies a character from a book that few people know. But I love this book and this character. The character's full name sounds like Algirdas, but he was often called Helg.

somewhere back in 2006, I played the computer game Newerwinter Nights, there was such a half-elf race, they were called Rivvil in the game, since that time it is my nickname, by which many people know me, even without knowing sometimes a real name

 

I played Dragon Age Inquisition, and srote some fanfiction and the name just stuck

Reeeeeeeeeeeeeealy old nickname. One of my friends pointed out my ears where kind of pointed and I was always reading fantasy novels. So elfy stuck till a little past college. I've moved so much and drifted from any of the friends that had called me that, so now this is the only place I use it(and thats entirely because of the username rules)

When I was playing D&D one time, my character used this spell to create an illusionary world to get out of dangerous situations. She didn't want to get out - it was funny. The DM made all the cute little bunnies turn rabid. Then my friends joked about 'rabid bunnies'.

I use the name everywhere. I misspell rabid on purpose to get the name on most websites.

 

It's a lyric of the White Stripes song 'Fell in Love with a Girl', "red hair with a curl". Not-so-incidentally, that describes both my own hair and what I'm planning for my first doll.

 

Ha! Mine’s just sort of a pun on my middle name, Rosalie. I play a lot of nun/priest/holy characters in video and table top games so I guess that helped inspire it too.

 

I received a Magikarp plush (a fish Pokemon). I wasn't sure what to name it so I asked my best friend to help. They named the Magikarp "Megikarp" after me, and I spiced it up to Meggiekarp so it doesn't look like a misspelling.
Unfortunately there is an actual person named Meggie Karp so the username was sniped on IG, FB, and Twitter. So I also use Meggikarp.

In the book, the main character is described as putting on an expression like a 'honest rabbit' whenever he wants to trick someone. Its such a bizarre description so I went with that!

EmbyQuinn was the original screen name shared by myself and my lifemate. M is the first letter of my given name (Margaret, if you're wondering), B is the first letter of my beloved's name, and Quinn comes from O'Quinn, our shared last name. Eventually, my beloved got another screen name, and I kept EmbyQuinn...and became something of a name in the kisekae and fanfic worlds.

I made this account just over 6 years ago when I was making an OC and named this account after that OC, I no longer draw and don't even remember this OC's back story. I also used this name as an alias for a time, but since coming out as non-binary I just straight up go by my new identified name every where. It's kinda cringey seeing this name on like all of my old platforms though, I was not creative and everything just got the same name

 

My username comes from my universal username across the internet. My best friend nicknamed me "caiterpie" because my name is Caitlin and then the nickname turned to "caiterprince" because I want to both be like and be swept up by a princely person! Now, it also represents what I plan on changing my last name to! Caitlin Prince!

 

This is the name I use everywhere. long story short, my old username I used for art was from my high school era, and when I was around 25 I couldn't handle it no matter how I tried to change it so I pretty much when full out change.

It's pretty much 100% just my favorite number and I have a healthy obsession with space. That and my gaming username is Ohrion (added in a silent h to make it so I could use orion without numbers xD) so continued with the star theme in my life. Was Ventisette Stelle but was too long for a handful of sites so I mixed the italian with english. I also use variations of _27_stars when I need to have an alt account. (I use 27星 for pixiv and am low key in love with it being read as nijunana hoshi)

 

I used to have purple hair so my friends dubbed me as a grape lol, so it's just grape in Japanese. Clever, I know

 

A long time ago, when I was a 10-year-old kid and thought that gibberish was as good as actual Japanese, I made up a screenname for myself and my very first online OC. I used that screenname absolutely everywhere and for everything until I decided to change it; DoA is probably the only place where I still go by this screenname.

 

I just used my first name and the 2 X's. I've been a member for years and I wish I had picked something more creative ! I guess I didn't really grasp the concept either of a screen-name at the time...
