What fits Iplehouse SID Man?

Oh dear! I typo'd pretty bad! I really meant to say iplehouse hoodies in my last post. But now I want a really cool sweater too! Thank you for the inspiration!

Judging the context, I assume Super Gems are the same thing as mecha angels, right? Btw, your little fluff story made me laugh! That brings me to a third question: Which underwears can fit this guy? I'm aware it''s probably not possible to have underwear where it doesn't get consumed by the joints, but I rather my boy look like he's sagging than actually showing crack in nice pants with plumber syndrome. I forget where, but i do like those Calvin Klein underwear I saw but not sure if it can even fit.

So to summarize, I want to know of these articles of clothing:

1. Glasses
2. hoodies
3. underwear

Super Gems are 65cm tall and Mecha Angels are 78cm tall. Mechas aren't are bulky like an EID, SID, Idealian, or Mega Gem though, they're long and skinny. Stretchy Mecha Angel clothes would probably fit a SID, but everything is going to be a bit too long.

Here, actually, have a terrible terrible photo of my Claude trying on a frilly shirt/corset combo that I'm like 99% sure was originally tailored for Mecha Angels (bought it second hand and haven't had a chance to try it on my MA guy that just recently arrived yet cause it's been buried in a box somewhere).

The width fits fine, but as you can see, the sleeves and the torso of the corset thing are both far too long. It'd be fine if it was something that was stretchy and allowed to look a little sloppy though.

And JepMZ: you're right. Those Calvin Klein undies made for 70cm will fit. They fit my EID and Idealian so SID should have no problem. They do wedge quite painfully, but if you're like me and can't stand to see them naked, these are good. Those square glasses are actually quite nice. They'll make your boy look like a nerd, but a good-looking nerd.

Um...as for SID clothes. Unless you've stowed away a ton of cash to buy from Iple's site or from Freedom Teller, you basically have to either make them yourself or have them custom made.

Does SSDF fit the SID boys? Or am I mistaken.
Also someone told me Regular SD clothes would fit them but I have my doubts.

 

Regular SD is not going to fit.

SSDF trousers may fit, see this post from earlier in the thread. SSDF dress/button-up shirts will not fit because the SID arm balls are too big to fit into the sleeves. SSDF t-shirts or stretchy tops may fit. If you search the thread for "SSDF," you can find more specific recommendations.

I spent yesterday reading through every post made on this thread, forgive me if I have forgotten anything.
Has anyone tried SSDF stretchy fabric shirts or jumpers? Or is it all dress shirts with buttons etc. That have been tried in this size as far as tops go?

i bring more questions! Anyone who bought wigs from Sunny's World, would a wig size 8~8.5 fit better on an SID or an 8.5~9 wig? I'm aware my Claude will have a circu,ference of 9.4 but I don't know what the usual company's actual fitting would be like.

And I got my first secondhand ih clothes in my hands (before my doll ever arrived). I have an ancient blue striped shirt, and ancient khaki pants. Actually, I forgot i also bought the brand new Model M sized leather pants too. Should i wash these clothes first? and how do I do that without fearing shrinkage?

 

I have a 8-8.5, perfect fit for my Storm!
I'm not an expert on leather items, I generally avoid them for fear of staining, hopefully someone can advise you better.

 

Hand wash (Woolite), cold, for everything but the leather (pleather?) pants.

Hey guys!~ I'm thinking about buying an SID man so I need to start clothes shopping....from what I'm told I'm better off buying SSDF shoes than SID shoes? I want boots or dress shoes.

 

I've never bought Iple's SID dress shoes (Freedom Teller's are quite nice), but the SID boots I've bought all fit perfectly. You just have to make sure the ankle joints are properly aligned, or they're hard to zip up.

 

I wouldn't say 'better off' SSDF will widen the variety of shoes definitely. BUT you need to be a 'bit' careful. I use SSDF for my Soul Doll zenith boy whose feet are almost exactly the same size as a SID. The heel of the zenith angles in while the SID heel is more straight up. What you need to be careful of is the 'shape' of the shoe. Narrow pointy toed shoe/boots might not work... but if the toe is a bit wider it's fine ^^ Also loafer types no luck yet for me finding any to fit SID's from the Luts selection. Footwear with zippers and ties are your best bet in order to get the foot in with a bit more ease ^^

Okay thanks everyone! I think I'll stick to Iple for boots and Freedomteller for dress shoes right now...I just have to decide which I want. I was bummed that FreedomTeller didn't have any brown dress shoes for SID.

Another question, I've read a lot about t-shirts and things for 70cm boys being tight in the arms and chest but sort of fitting elsewhere? I really love this jumper from nine9:

EDIT: Guys I just discovered the new Crobidoll G Line Boy Dolls (78cm!!) and I'm wondering if their tops would fit the SID men?? The G Line boys have slightly larger measurements in the shoulders, chest and arm length but only like 1-3cm!

Because they're listed as "70cm, Uncle, SSDF, IP, Loongsoul, Spiritdoll," on their Taobao site, I pre-ordered the oxfords and the boots.
I managed to get them on my Soom Idealians but not the EID guys. When I later compared them to actual EID boots, they were almost half a centimeter short at the front.
I went on their English site (scratching my head), and it says "The shoe model is based on SSDF size, SSDF 's feet size is 9.5cm (9.8cm is wearable as prefered)" Man! If I had known I wouldn't have cause myself so much grief. But yeah...if I can force my Idealians to fit, SIDs can definitely wear them. Which also means general SSDF shoes (the ones that aren't big-toed coz those fit EIDs) are a good fit for SIDs.

 

Thanks [MENTION=64185]yuan_mdx[/MENTION], I ordered them and the oxfords look great. They fit SIDs even with socks. A friend of mine ordered the slightly narrower boots and she said they don't fit, though.

 

Glad they worked out for you. The boots DON'T fit SID? Dang. I noticed they WERE a tad narrower than the oxfords but I did still manage to squeeze the ID72 feet in. Just shows iple guy's feet are wider in general.

 

I have used a wooden spatula to get some Alice Collections shoes on their feet, and once they're on and widened a bit they're fine, even with socks. Maybe it's just a matter of patience .

I have an SID and I am looking for the infamous leather pants look. Does anyone know of any alternative companies that sell leather or pleather pants for SID males?

 

Does anyone here have their SID in a ForMyDoll wig and could tell me what size they wear? I know that the SID head measurement fits in the 8-9 range but I've heard of people putting stretchy 7-8 wigs on them too...

Okya so im getting an Iplehouse SID Eric and i was just wondering, based on your experience and this huge thread what fits them? i usually order from Taobao so if anyone knows if taobao stuff fits them let me know. i have seen some clothes on Taobao that say SSD and dragon doll size i'm guessing those are a hit or miss. if you have had any experience with this size let me know. also 70cm yay or nay? because that would be my next choice.

 

@Kyali13 Not sure about Taobao sizes, but I usually choose T-shirts or any tops from stretchy fabric in 70+ size, it's usually nicely tight around the muscles. I wouldn't recommend fabrics that don't stretch and pants, since 70+ dolls are skinnier than SID.

 

ok, i found some clothes on Taobao that say IP/ID im guessing thats Iplehouse and Idelian size which im pretty sure is gonna fit him and it might be big but i can always just sew it up

 

So cool that more people are making clothes for the large sized guys. IP/ID probably means more EID sized, but better bigger than too small, I guess!

Bumping this up, especially since Iplehouse's clothing selection seems to be kind of lacking lately. These guys get no love!

 

I just bought a couple of items from BlueBloodDoll and was happy with the fit. Shouldn't come as a surprise, since they were marked specifically for SID, but I thought I'd mention it because I was wary of this jacket before ordering. I know that even a model EID is substantially larger than an SID, but the jacket is fine! It doesn't fit super closely, but it looks perfectly natural and I'm glad I took a chance on it. These pants look absolutely painted on, highly recommend for any rocker boys if/when they restock!

Here we go! So this is Rom, my SID Claude, wearing this jacket. Unfortunately the rest of this look was bought from people at meetups, so I don't know where the other items came from. The jacket isn't super fitted, but it still has the right look and feel so I'm happy with it. The only real disappointment is fake pockets, but that's kind of something I expect from doll clothes!

Does anyone have any experience with Rrabit's 70cm clothing? The measurements look like they could work. Plus, my experience with their stuff is that it's generally pretty huge/stretchy.

 

As a head's up, SartoriaJ confirmed that these jeans fit SID: GRANADO_Blue Gray Pants

Looks like anything advertised for Granado VINdoll is going to be a decent fit, judging from the measurements. I'll report back when I get them!

 

I'm wondering about two clothing options specifically:

Can SID guys wear Volks SD17 outfits and shoes?
Can they wear Luts SSDF outfits and shoes?

If you have Volks or Luts clothes, could you let me know? Photos would be even better. I'm scared to buy a guy and then not be able to find clothes. Thanks!!!

 

I think the SSDF shoes tend to fit pretty well ^_^ Are you talking about the SID muscle body (aka the original) or their SID model body? I only have the muscle bodies (I got them before the model body came out) but I can definitely say that my SD17 outfits wouldn't fit them at all. SSDF outfits are a hit and miss but the pants are too long for sure.

 

Very new to all this, so I apologize for the ignorance.

Question: what other dolls have similar proportions to SID Man? I would like to know what to take a chance on but I must admit I am feeling overwhelmed with all the options and don't know where to begin. I am about to get a SID Felix soon and I what to see what could fit if I gave it a chance.

 

almost none. Unless a maker says it fits Iple SID do not risk wasting your money.. Look on Esty for ppl who make specificr for that size and for places that offer custom sizing. Example a few makers state they do custom for Iple dolls and list which ones. Legend and Alice Collections both have sellers that do custom and do mention Iple's by name. For now SatoriaJ and Freedom Teller also make for these boys. Watch ebay for second hand "iplehous" outfits and of course in here in the marketplace when you gain access. Also in facebook there are iplehuse groups that sell... Just be sure you are in groups that only allow legit dolls

@Whale You could try PABADoll on Etsy. I bought almost all my Dane´s clothes there. Look for clothing with the Custom option and give them the measurements of your boy. Works like a charm, shipping is fast and the quality is really good for the price.

@manabusama - I believe several of my guys are wearing shoes/boots meant to fit Luts SSDF boys, though I remember at least one pair being a tight fit to get on.

 

I did, and they definitely have larger feet. It says 9.2 cm, so I got to go for larger SD size shoes then.

I have! Sleeves are just a tiny bit long, but still look good! Pants are definitely too long, though, but not by much, and you can opt to roll the hem. I put a black, frilly shirt on my guy and bought a "leather" shirt to use as a jacket for him. He looks amazing in it! I'll try to get a pic uploaded to show~

SID guys are a bit thick for their size, so fill out close to larger sizes.
