What fits Iplehouse SID Man?

I'm definitely interested in learning this, too. I have a SID body, but he only has Iple clothing and nothing in the shoe department. I do know that Tata Hound shirts do fit him if they are stretchy and don't button up at the front, but that's all I've been able to try so far

I am going to be purchasing two dolls from Iplehouse, (EID Bichun, and SID Eva.) Regarding SID Eva, I usually buy most of my clothing through Dollmore, but I can't seem to find clothing to fit her odd size (62 cm.)
They have clothing on the Iplehouse site in her size, but it's a very limited selection.

If anyone can help me out with links to sites that sell clothing that would fit her, I would really appreciate it!!!

 

There is a thread that was started about SID girl clothes. Some of the Dollmore Model clothes will fit but pants and L/S tops would be too long.

 

Is there perhaps a thread about SID guys that I'm missing? *hopes* I searched the forum all over, but I can't find any clothing recommendations. Ouch, I'd better not be reduced to sewing! Poor boy. xD

I too would welcome more information about where to buy clothes for SID men. So far, I have been improvising. I have commissioned some pants from Marsh, and bought a 70cm shirt from honestrabbit. I know Marsh makes excellent quality pants, so I am looking forward to these, and all being well the 70cm shirt will fit

 

I would like to know as well. I have just purchased an SID Storm and bought several outfits from IH as well, but I would like to know what else can fit!

jacobean, I compared the measurements, and it doesn't seem likely. Glamor Model could be worth a try, depending on whether the clothes are stretchy or loose-fitting, but I'm not rich enough to afford lotteries.^^;

I just bought Storm I'm in the same boat with clothes as everyone here. Looking for advice about what fits. He has no shoes yet. Maybe I'll have to place another order with Iple.

Me too! I have an SID body on the way, but am really clueless about shoes. I've found only a couple of companies that make dolls with feet as long as the SID man's, but none of the shoes are really what I'm looking for.

Also, I've found that with my Limwha Mano, although his feet measure longer than a Volks SD man, he can still wear Volks/Dollheart SD13 shoes. I think it is because his feet are so narrow. This leaves me wondering if my SID guy will actually be able to wear shoes meant for guys with shorter feet?

Anyone with an SID guy out there? Have you found other brands of shoes that work besides Iple?

EDIT: I just checked out Sunny's 70cm shoes on eBay, and I'm not so sure they will fit? According to Iple, an SID man's feet are 9.2 cm, and the shoes that Sunny's has have an inner length of only 8.7 cm, with an OUTER length of 9.5 cm.

 

jacobean, You're welcome! It looks to me right now that stuff is either too small or too large for SIDs Like, EID or Idealian stuff should be huge, but everything else is too narrow. Even SpiritDoll Proud stuff, as I looked now!

Though it looks better than Glamor Model even, doesn't it? Hmm... Not that they have a huge selection themselves. ^^;

I wouldn't bet on it. I got SID shoes from Iple and even pulling THEM on is an effort maybe I'm doing something wrong of course, but they're pretty big, so one should look at the INNER length. And don't forget the inner width!

Mmm... Okay, so from my point of view:

Most Glamor Model doll tops will work, but pants won't. I haven't even gotten to use the underwear Eshu was talking about -bought it, got it to fit but then it got stuck on my boys' thigh joints, so I didn't find it usefull at all-.

Luts Super Senior Delf shoes will mostly fit, though I've only tried on the white cowboy boots and some sandals (which work, though a little tight). I'm unsure if the clothing will, but I'm not giving it a try... Just in case it doesn't.

Some Nine9Style 70cm trausers will fit if they're elastic and I think the same goes for every other 70cm clothing that's elastic.

I think I've got shirts covered, now it's just finding pants. Do you know if EID man pants will fit at all? Or would that be horrible?

 

Any one tried any SSDF clothing yet? The measurements seem to be closest out of all the big guys. I think I'm gonna try that out but I'm getting my SID on layaway so it will be months before I can find out. If it doesn't fit I can give it to my Super Gem lol Plan B

 

Ow, sorry. My guy doesn't wear underwear regularly (man that sounded bad) just for short periods of time, to pose, maybe I didn't notice the issue because of that. I was just happy his butt looks much better than the Glamor Model's in them, lol. I take back the rec then, anyway. Sorry again.

I can say about the SID jeans fitting an EID that mine DIDN'T fasten totally. I have -crappy- pictures of it, in case anyone's interested. I also have these old pictures of my Lee in EID clothing.



And no, it didn't work at all UXD The pants kept falling and the tops were too big. I use some EID tops for my small kids because they make them look cute, like this one:

 

I've see some pics of SID's wearing EID shirts, they look far too big. I'm mostly thinking about shoes now, has anyone tried 10cm converse or canvas shoes on them? I think they might be a little too long?

 

I use EID shoes for my SIDs because Iplehouse tends to make shoes too small even for their size. I bought those black trainers in both sizes and when I used them on the dolls they were supposed to work for -my Storm and my former Luo-, they were too tight on both and were a pain to put in and to take out, so I sold my SID ones and kept the EID sized ones to use them for my SIDs.

Here's my SID Lee with EID shoes. They don't look too big to my taste... I like the way they look, in fact xD



I haven't tried any other kind of shoes aside these ones from Luts, which fit perfectly (I think mostly every Super Senior Delf shoes will fit since Super Seniors have a 9,5cm foot while SIDs have a 9,2cm).

My sister has bought some other SSD shoes to try, I'll tell her to stop by and tell us her impressions when she receives them!

He's Nähm, my Lee. You can see he's wearing SSDelf boots by Luts. All SSDelf shoes fit SID boys perfectly. In the pic, he's wearing Luts SSDelf gloves. They fit him perfect too. So yeah, SSDelf is a good option for SIDs *w*

 

great! he looks awesome! SSDf are the only other doll with the close measurements I can find. My SSDF outfits should arrive today but I don't yet have the SID to try them on lol.

 

I think SSDF clothes might not fit well on SID because SIDs are not so thin. Maybe you can make some stretchy clothes fit your SID, but I don't think clothes as jeans and such can look well. In any case, keep us posted, please!!

I know SSDF shoes fit for sure. I have bought some pairs in different styles and they all fit my SID ^--^

 

I'm (quietly) confident the tops will fit, the chest measurements are very similar. I have my doubts about the jeans (even thought they are close measurement wise.) Either way at least we'll finally know for sure and I also have another doll they will fit on, so it won't all go to waste.

The tops I'm not sure of but I have purchased a few for my boy when he gets here, I hope they fit! I read some hound sized tops will fit, such as jumpers, but not shirts as SID's chest are too wide.

I just got some Crobidoll shoes for my guy, I'm quite certain they will fit, they look huge and have lots of room inside. I'm going by, if it's too big for my Super Gem I'm hoping it will fit my SID.

Which doll do you like best, Akando, Luo, or Felix?
If it Felix best you might as well just get him, you'll have to buy all new stuff for a EID anyway right?

 

I ordered Felix yesterday, for same reason - didn't want to buy all new clothes for EID. And I could't decide who I like best - Luo or Akando! So Felix it is! At least for now - I HOPE there will be NO EID lately for me!

I think Iple should make some pants with thinner material so they dolls can sit better. I mean, no one else is doing these dolls, or their clothing, it almost seems like their duty to me, to clothe these little suckers properly!

 

So...this is probably something I should know. Can these boys sit well in any pants? Besides the training/sweat ones Iple has?

 

According to my own experience, NO, they can't sit well with pants. Specially, with jeans (even from Iplehouse), my SIDs can't sit with them if I don't unbutton them.

 

The girls SIDs are the same with the skinny fit jeans. The best pants to make the girls sit in are stretchy Model doll ones. Whilst looking at boy clothing on the Iple site it does actually make a note of saying the boy cannot sit well in the pants advertised. Crazy! What will fit them??

 

Hm. Hopefully somewhere will make some nice jeans for these men with thinner material that has a little stretch to it. At least with the EID boys if you order a Superhero size, the model size dolls could sit easily in them.

 

so are the website measurements for these guys accurate? i printed a scaled straight picture off of one and they just seem so massive >_> (i'm trying to sew for one so a printed out scale even though its flat helps for shorts lengths and T-Shirt lengths)

 

As far as I know, Billy. I've never read anyone say otherwise. They are pretty big guys.

 

Yeah!! Iplehouse does GORGEOUS dolls, but the hip joint engineering is really flawed for sitting (I do believe a doll this expensive should be able to sit, LOL!!) The BIDs -- same thing. When the legs lift forward to sit, it's not a very attractive sight from behind -- all that resin from needs somewhere to go. As Sharingan said, There are some really nice stretchy fabrics and denims -- maybe iple needs to get in more pants with stretch.

I come bearing many pictures of clothes that fit! These are all items already owned by my SSDF boy.


70cm sized Nine9style top. It does NOT button up all the way, and it's tight on the arms, but perhaps some gents will like that?


SSDF Dress Shoes from Luts. They'd be a bit better with socks, but since they can be tied tightly they're a good fit. These loafers fit too, but I don't have a picture.


Luts SSDF "Basic Washing Jean." That waist button just would NOT do up. Sitting is only going to happen if his shirt can cover his lap/plumber's crack, but that seems to be a frequent Iplehouse boy issue.


Luts SSDF trousers from the Barron set. Sitting was not impossible, but made difficult by the SID body's... endowment. You can probably see it in the front picture. If I were buying for just an SID, I'd hem these up. Also, I doubt that the shirt and jacket from this set would fit (I didn't bother trying).


Sadol SSDF trousers from a discontinued set (but it was released at the same time as this set, and I think the cut of the trousers is the same). I'll probably just roll up the hems on this, since A) my SSDF still needs to wear them, and B) my SID boy is supposed to be short anyway. Sitting was hard but not impossible.

Things that did NOT fit: SSDF Sadol dress shirts. I tried with one and the sleeves wouldn't go over the huuuuge balls of the SID arms at the shoulder. Because the SSDF is so slender on top, I doubt that any tailored shirt for SSDF will fit SID. I still have a few sweaters and some SSDF Sadol jeans to try, so I'll take pictures when I do that!

I don't remember which thread I saw it in, but, someone said that the Iplehouse SID black tennis shoe looking type shoes (the ones with the orange and white stripes) didn't fit at all? Does anyone have these who can confirm this for me?

I hope that's not true. I bought those from someone on the marketplace because they were labeled as SID shoes. I don't have my Claude yet to test them though. ><*
