Congrats! Desu's eyes are on the big side, yeah.

Ephram has left Japan! He should be with VolksUSA in a few weeks and then he'll finally come home! I'm so excited to see him again.

 

I'm not the best photographer but I got my girls those ornament minnie ears and they look so cute I highly recommend getting them if anyone is going to Disneyland.

 

@I<3MySD - when I owned a Suiseiseki, I used 18mm high dome Silver eyes in her and they fit perfectly.

@Sadomina - congrats on the F06!! She's going to look really cool all freshened up.

I am excited because my F78 is out now for a faceup and I can't wait to see what she looks like all painted up.

I've been looking for a sleeping Tae head in my price range for years, and I finally found and bought one yesterday! I'm really excited.

Does anyone know if there's a heeled foot from any doll company with good resin match that can work on an sd13 girl? I want to put nicer heels on my dolls, but the low arch of sd13 heeled feet are limiting. I saw a photo of an sd13 with sdgr girl hands though so I guess they can have the elegant and expressive sdgr girl hands at least?

 

@Adele Oh my god, how adorable! I was already planning on picking a pair up for a friend, but I might have to cave and get some ears for myself as well.

Sato still hasn't responded to my email about an Omukae and I think it's too late to send a follow-up since my visit is on the 21st T_T So much for an Omukae there. If I felt they'd respond I'd send another and just ask what date(s) they have open and plan around that?

Edit: Pardon my extremely slapdash phone pics & suitcase, here's Lady Oscar disrobed for those who were curious about the smaller bust (@mx_95 in particular!). I think it's about equivalent to or slightly larger than a DD S-bust? Definitely smaller than all my M-bust girls.

Volks has their pre-order for SDGr girl hands. They say they fit SD10 girls as well but I'm wondering if anyone has photos of an SD10 girl wearing a pair of SDGr girl hands (any one of the hands, I'm interested in the scale of the fingers compared to the width of the forearm).

 

@Astro aaah, thank you A LOT! I really appreciate it, never saw better photos of her body! TT Her chest looks really natural and pretty, more like on smaller Volks bodies. At the same time it can be hidden under the jackets etc... Gorgeous! They couldn't pick a better character for this than Oscar. Here's hoping some other dolls will have it too, even limited, but still.

 

@Peachdolly : I'm afraid I can't name any alternative feet off the top of my head, all the dolls coming out that can wear properly high heels seem to have heel LEGS these days^^;; but I can tell you this: my SD13 girl is currently wearing these heels below, meant for SD16/SDGr/Smartdoll (that heel is about 2 inches), and she's wearing them with Volks heel feet. When I put them on her they indeed seemed too high, as in they fit but her toes stuck up so her soles couldn't go flat against the floor. I started fiddling a little, carefully trying to position them better and even planning on modding the back ridge of the feet for more poseability, when there was a click and they snapped into the correct position. I'm pretty sure they're just overextended/the ankle ball shifted and I'm not sure how good it looks in lower cut shoes, but she can stand in these now, unaided at that (as she is in this picture). So those SD13 heels do have more range than it seems at first, maybe that helps.

Hi I’m wondering if anyone has ever tried putting the sd10 heeled feet on the sdgr flat feet legs? I have a doll coming that only have the flat feet. I just wondering if it’s possible.

 

@Yurikun forget what I originally wrote, I just tried it again to confirm what I originally did

It works, its interchangeable with SD / SD13 girls high heel feet.

She will not be able to stand in SDgrG / SD16 heels, but she will be able to wear SD/SD13 heels and stand in them. This is because the design of the foot (the back part) will not allow it to go more back, so the design of the ankle joint / back of the foot will only allow her to stand in short heels, like the high heels made for SD/SD13 by Volks.

She can wear SDgrG and SD16 heels, but will not be able to stand in them.

 

Hey everyone,

I have a volks F59 Saki head and SD13 body that I bought through the full choice system. Is it possible to hybrid this head with the current SD16 body in the FCS? Can I hybrid other body parts from the SD13 body onto it?

Does anyone have reference photos?

@echotexture The F59 head will definitely fit on the 16 body - you can see an example here. What pieces of the SD16 and SD13 bodies were you looking to hybrid?

 

Hi. May b someone know about volks exchange service more details , really need clear information. If I have older head with out magnet, old head type. They replaced for the same, no magnet, or new version with magnet? I talked about fcs F-16 head..)

I have a question for you all. I recently impulse bought a beautiful F-16 boy (he’s due to arrive on Saturday and I am over-the-top excited to welcome him home) and now I’m doing some eye and wig shopping to prepare. Do any of you have any images of 18mm vs 16mm eyes in an F-16 head?

I have! I can send it to you on PM if you want! Personalny I prefer him with 18 mm but he looks pretty realistic with 16

 

@Kykycik I believe that when heads (or other parts) are replaced they are replaced with the current version. I don't know that a head that old would still be eligible, though. All of the details are here and I highly recommend contacting them if you're interested.

I am surprised that a new one was unveiled so soon! I hope we get more details; will she be normal pink like Rapunzel? White???

I think the thing that most excites me is that she will probably have high heel legs and... GLASS SLIPPERS! (please mother SD, give her high heel legs and dont make it difficult by making the optional legs purchasable only to Japan / US buyers...)

I was very tempted to get Rapunzel and turn her into Ariel, but stopped last minute because Ariel is probably going to be produced in the future. Im very glad I did because Cinderella is irresistible with that upside down shaped lips of hers Im going to start saving up lol

Did they change the earrings to be a part of her headband instead?

 

She's pretty, thankfully I'm not a Cinderella fan and she's in that sculpt family they've been doing lately that doesn't do anything for me personally so I'm safe. XD

 

I did not expect such announcement so quick! Cinderella is very pretty but thankfully I can skip her. I wouldn't be able to afford a second one after winning Rapunzel I think only Elsa would be another must have for me. Very excited to see more pictures though. I wonder if Ariel or Belle will be done next? they seem to be releasing princesses which had a one-off previously.

OMG! I'm also not too big on Cinderella but her sculpt is gorgeous. I guess I'll have plenty of time to save for her!! I'm so stoked.

Seeing the full face, as beautiful as she is, I would have liked a little bit of nose to her face. She's still amazing and beautiful, but not my type. I hope she will have some resin or glass heels, but I have a feeling its going to be silver. Im still excited to see their interpretation of it. I will wait for some more pictures, to make up my mind lol

@Ellia I had to look for the Disney park Cinderella's and you are right, some of the actresses had it as a part of the headband lol
Something I never noticed before, at first I thought the earrings were huge pearl earrings until I noticed them stuck on the band.

 

@GreenTeaSlug Personally I think the something more flat than pearls should have been used for the headband, it looks a little odd with them sticking out so much. Or earrings would work too. It doesn't take away from the beauty of the sculpt though. I wish she wasn't released so soon!

 

I saw some owner pictures (I think?) of Rapunzel and seeing her like this, she is so cute. I like her so much more now!

@snowgray Wow that's pinker than I expected... I wonder if all future Disney collabs will be released in this new resin tone.

 

Volks' dolls always look better IRL than in the stock photos so I'm not surprised Rapunzel is so lovely.

It's very pink but I think it will mellow out over time!

I imagine they won't use this skin tone for Snow White or Elsa if they get to them. If they ever do Tiana definitely not. XD
