    1. What a great display of your group. Woman power! :daisy

    2. Volks announced the fate GO dolls will start shipping October 31! :dance

Btw, has anyone pre-ordered multiple dolls from Volks JP before? When I ordered I could only have one per order.. but when they ship can you combine them?

    3. I'm just a newbie here do take anything I say with a grain of salt. If they are preorder dolls they cannot be shipped with in-stock items. But for multiple preorder dolls I think they stagger the release dates in order to not overflow their warehouse. As for multiple in-stock dolls, maybe there's a limit on package size that they are willing to handle. I forgot if there was a logo on my package but if there was maybe they don't print it on larger boxes. This is all just my guess so..... :)

@petiteballerine @oriscany I don't like the dynamite bust for 2B but would the large dollfie bust fit into her shirt?

    4. Thank you!
I see :Oc I guess it's probably the package size limit.. even when I go pay the remaining amount, they won't let me put them together. (They're all from the same collab and are released together.)

    5. Sooo I think the Lina Inverse DD mentioned halfway down this Volks Hobby blog post has now surfaced in Twitter photos...!!!

She looks wonderful! A great translation of her very 90s face and character design into the DD aesthetic. :D

    7. She looks amazing. I was really hoping I wouldn't like her. But she's gorgeous.

    8. She's astonishing. Looks just like the character and Slayers is one of my favorite anime... Think I'm gonna have to try to get one. Time to put up a couple more dolls for sale and see if any of them will move since the ones I've been trying to sell haven't. XD;

    9. Slayers was one of my favorite Mangas when I was younger. I think they managed to catch her look really well. It will be hard to withstand her.

    10. My custom 2B has come home! I'm really happy with how she doesn't even look like a vinyl doll, she reminds me more of a classic old-school Luts girl now...

    12. hello everyone :) I've recently gotten back into the doll hobby and I just got the newest member to the family! I ordered a DDP Coron (Azami) this week and I am so smitten with her shy little face!! Hopefully I'll be finishing up her dress this weekend so I can share some pictures <3

    15. Not me struggling to upload pics from flickr

    16. If it's useful to anybody, I received my DD Dynamite body today and tried the breastplate on my old old old DD2 body. It's immediately obvious why they're not compatible, but if you're gonna keep her dressed it wouldn't be so bad.

    17. Love everyone's girls! Here's my Kizuna Ai as Usagi. I've been looking for a new sculpt to replace my Usagi and I think she works really well!

    19. It broke my link to instagram, somethings buggy with the forum lately :doh

    20. It might just be Instagram, people in other places have been having problems with linking stuff from there too.

    21. @monkeypizzasonic Suppose it could have been the codes, it's still linked from Instagram I just changed the format lol.
I've noticed a ton of broken photos everywhere recently

    22. Added a new member to the family today! Isn't she cute?

She'll be replacing my DDH-06 as ST AR-15, since that head went and turned orange on me lol. She's also wearing one of the new bodysuits. They're pretty nice.

The texture of her head is super weird, since I'm so used to the rough paper-like feel of MSC.

    23. @hellFlower She's cute! is she a Karin? That's such a cute sculpt.

Guess who's figure I found in storage today! Lowkey getting Coraline vibes from it lol. "Hello Coraline and Coraline... doll?"

    24. That is perfect! I love seeing her with her mini me!

      • x 1
    25. @Galahndriel Yes she's a Karin! I pined after her for a year before deciding, yes I do really want this doll! Her cuteness got me in the end...

Venus and mini-Venus are cute together! It's so easy to forget how big these dolls are are until I see them next to a normal sized figure like figmas or S.H Figuarts.

    26. Hello DD owners! I have sort of a question. How much staining is too much staining to you? I purchased what might very well be the most stained DDdy I have every seen for super cheap and for some reason decided I will try my hand at destaining her. Crazy, I know. She hasn't arrived yet so for now I'm doing my research into what to use to attempt this recovery.

    27. That doll def has too much staining for me xD!
I hope you share your cleaning results w/ us, I'm curious if it can all be removed!
From the 2nd pic, it also seems like her head has yellowed a lot?

    28. @Cap'n depends on the price! For a super low price, it would be great to clean up and customize. Maybe full back or body tattoos? Or if you just want to clean her up and have her wear clothes to cover it, that is fine too! Do you have a head in mind for her or did you get the head in the picture? I am not sure how much can be done for that yellowed of a head, but it may make a great practice head for face ups. Regardless, I think it is worth it for the right price.

    29. @flivine
      @NabeeRain

I'll just say that she was very cheap. The head she's coming with isn't a DD head and I believe it's resin. Still trying to figure out what it is exactly but I'm waiting til she arrives to get a better idea. I have a floating DD head lying around but I don't yet know if the color is the same. The doll is in a lot of ways a mystery.

And a full back tattoo might be what I end up doing! I'm going to primarily focus on getting the the front of her destained because based on the pics it doesn't look as bad as the back. But that back..... :nowords:

      • x 2
    30. @Cap'n I cannot wait to see before and after pictures!

    31. @Cap'n What are you thinking of using to de-stain her?

    32. @Cloudedmind
Going to start with a benzoyl peroxide zit cream and see how far that gets me for a few weeks. I'll order some of the volks brand stuff later if necessary.

      • x 1
    33. @Cap'n Looking forward to seeing how she turns out.

    34. Oh that s such a smart idea to have a tattoo on the back to cover it up :O!

    35. @Cap'n no such thing as too much for a doll customiser! I think your tattoo idea will work just fine

      • x 1
    36. I can vouch for benzoyl peroxide for taking black stains out of vinyl. I had a DD that I bought secondhand who had black toes and rings around her legs, just below the knees . The previous owner kept her in black stockings with shoes. The zit cream worked really well, it just took a while with repeated treatments. I put on a heavy layer of cream and wrapped it with cling wrap to keep it moist and left it on for a week. I did this three times and the black was just barely there. I could have done more, but got impatient (and she was going to wear shoes and white stockings, lol).

    37. @kurogane
I'm glad to find others who managed to remove severe staining! When I Googled around to find others removing stains, almost all I found was super tiny stains that only needed 1-2 sessions to remove. I was a bit worried that no one else had achieved something to this extent. Do you have any photos of the before and after?

    38. @Cap'n sorry, I deleted all my photos when I sold her. I remember back when I did research, putting the stain with zit cream under a lamp helped the stain to disappear faster, but I was uncomfortable with that as light isn’t good for vinyl, and I think it was more for the heat, but not good either. I’ve never tried the Volks stain remover, and if you try it, I’d love to hear your results!

    39. @kurogane
Yeah I saw people mentioning leaving their dolls under lamps or in a windowsill after applying the cream and, I mean, if it's for a small stain I'd probably be ok with that, but this is going to take weeks so I would not be comfortable with that. I may try finding a place for the head to stay while treated and pull it out once a day to run a hair dryer over it for a bit. But even with that I'm a bit apprehensive because heat + vinyl sounds like a bad idea. :nowords:
And if I end up ordering the Volks stuff I'll be sure to post results!

    40. Yesterday, I got my FGO dollfie girls :)!

    41. Volks USA is having a holiday d'coords lottery! Super excited to see what sculpts they have...even though I can't enter this time around unless they end up doing a really bad job with Elsa.

    42. @flivine those F/GO girls are so cute! Really makes me regret missing the order for them TT.TT

    43. Thanks =^-^=
D'aww ;-; Hopefully you can find them secondhand eventually!!

      • x 1
    44. I love looking at D'Coords even if I never get any! I always like seeing them. (I too will be refraining this time around because I am holding out hope that I will just fall in love with Elsa.)

      • x 1
    45. I'd love it if one of the D'Coords was a DD boy, but I have no idea how likely that is. :sweat

      • x 2
    46. Ohhh, I would LOVE to see this too! :3nodding:

    47. That would be really fun to see! They have to do it eventually. I could see them being concerned that the males just aren't as big of a market as the girls just sell out faster than the boys.

    48. So thanks to a lovely shopping service, I am getting ready to start a layaway for a tan skin Dollfie Dream boy! He is a surprise for sure, just mentioned in passing to my SS that I was hoping that some of the wigs I got in a grab bag (the Volks SD and DD wig grab bags) would work and I would use them for a future tan boy, they offered me this gorgeous guy. He is head DCH-14! Can anyone else share some photos of their lovely tan DD, or just DD boys in general?

    50. Thank you so much!! It will be a couple months before I can get him home, but I will absolutely be posting him here once I get him home! I'll be posting him more on IG to!

    51. Question, has anyone gotten the Dream Fitter eye tools? Do you like them? How do they work?

    52. My friend has Dream Fitter and I've fussed with it. Honestly, I hate it and would never waste my money. It's just a bit of foam you stuff inside the head and then you have a rubber-tipped pen (sold separately, of course) to adjust the eyes from the front. The problem is the foam doesn't put enough pressure against the back of the eyes, so if you bump the doll too hard while posing, the eyes get knocked out of alignment and now you need to fuss them back into place.

      • x 1
    53. @Cauldroness thank you that is very helpful! Do you prefer to use traditional putty with your DDs? Do you known if they still glue eyes into the limiteds? Sorry for so many questions! The last time I owned a DD she was a strung DDI!

    54. Yeah, I just use an oil-free white poster-putty. I think Faber-Castell is my favorite of the brands I've tried so far. Alcolin and Elmer's are both tolerable if FC isn't available.

And yes, Volks glues eyes into all DDs, not just limiteds. Standard Models also have hot glued eyes. Ripping them out is my least favorite part of getting a new DD.

      • x 1
    55. @Cauldroness I do have putty, so that should work well. Thank you for all of your help! It is too bad they are still glueing the eyes in. Oh well, at least I don’t have to worry about accidentally pulling her lashes off lol!

    56. @NabeeRain - I use the Dream Fitter in my DDH06 and it's always done a really good job of holding her eyes in place. Maybe does it a little too well, honestly. The foam fills the 06 head completely and holds the eyes super tightly - so tightly that I can't actually move the eyes using the little rubber stick thing!

I always had a lot of trouble with eye putty in my 06, because instead of having a simple eyewell, the eyeholes have these raised rims that the eyeball perches on. In order to use putty I needed to first fill up the sides to make an eyewell, then add more to hold the eye in place. I always ended up with goo all over the dang place. The Dream Fitter was a huge relief for me, although just how good it is probably depends a lot on the headsculpt.

      • x 1
    57. @Gallye Hmm I wonder how the 06 compares in size to Sailor Mercury’s head. I appreciate the information! I was hoping to change her eyes out soon. I love the Mercury sculpt and want to customizer her a little bit.

    58. Since DD boys were brought up in the thread: My boy's finally here and it couldn't have been a perfect time to show him off.

Cyrus is finally back! I reshelled him after struggling so much bonding with his old DDH-08 version. He looks so much more in-model like this. Not to mention his smile is sooo irresistibly sweet that I can't help swooning over him all day. I'm forever grateful for Kizuna AI's existence as a Dollfie Dream because he wouldn't be here without her T_T :aheartbea

    60. Returning from a long DOA hiatus to join this thread! My friend and I have been talking lately about buying DDs, and she finally got hers! But, I've yet to buy mine as I wait for Volks USA to restock. Does anyone know if they usually restock heads in a timely matter? Or maybe COVID is keeping Japan from sending shipments? I'm just waiting for a DDH-09 to become available.
