Tinybear (MerMina, Moona, Bracken, etc!!) Discussion Part 3

I have finally decided that I want one of Tinybear's dolls to join my Nabiyette in becoming my second bjd. But I am having the hardest time deciding on which one. As soon as I think I have it figured out I change my mind. I wish I had an extra $800 or so so I can just get four of them. I do want a male but I can't decide if I want Bracken or Milo and in blue or light tan. However, I would also like to get Mina with legs and/or Moona. I love the lilac color but would it look good on either of them? How do you decide when you want them all? I have cruised through this thread and flickr looking at all the pictures, but it just makes me want more of them. How can you decide on just one?

 

I hear you so much! I want Fallow. But I also want mer-Mina. And Moona and Bracken are delightful too. And then do I want a natural-looking skin tone or one of the fantasy colours? If I go for a mermaid, what about the skin/tail combination. All the dolls and options are just too adorable

 

I've been wrestling with that same dilemma for a year now. I think I want a human Mina, and Brakcen. But I love Thisledown and Coco, too. And I'd like a Sika.

By the way, with the new topicness rules, can we talk about Thistledown now?

Tide N Thyme-- I definitely agree with you. There are too many options for all the adorable dolls. Trying to figure out that perfect combination is making me crazy.

Fariy Milliner-- I agree with your choices. I have definitely decided I want a human Mina but not sure as to color and ears. I was leaning towards Bracken for my male. I didn't even see Sika until you mentioned him. Hard to believe with the hours I have spent on the website that I missed him. Now I am back to square one on which boy I want.

Raesha--Your Fallow is stunning. I just love her face! That is another one that I would love to have.

I sure do hope Tinybear isn't making anymore sculpts right now. It will just make the decision that much harder.

Oh, Valli, she's adorable!! I'm not sure about the new rules, but my soon-to-arrive DC Hillary and my avatar boy (5SD Aiden) are no longer OT, so I don't see any reason why Thistledown shouldn't be on topic as well. Can't find the info, though.
Lazuli is always so elegant... Love her face-up. She has attitude. LOL!

cowpeter, congratulations on your new Moona. She looks gorgeous... (I wish I were rich - I'd get one of each. But then I'd probably be beating myself up about which doll to get in what colour... LOL!)

 

I'm really confused about the new rules. Thanks everyone for enjoying my darling Precious. I have Moona also with a mermaid tail, Braken, Mina in tan, Pink BonBon and Tan Coco. I love them all, but the bigger ones are fantastic, I'm just a huge tiny fan and it's all Carries fault. Right from the moment I joined here I kept seeing her refering to tinies and I was hooked. The biggest BJD I have now is 10" and I don't play with him. Love playing in the dollhouses and he doesn't fit.

lol sorry Valli .. I hear you tho ..tinys are still my favorite ...Ive had to sell off most of my large dolls now ... but I still have my very small ones ..and I would never part with my tiny blue Bracken , and my first Moona , Mina ..and I have a Fallow in light tan
you know I dont actually have a thistledown ...will have to do something about that .. no I dont know why she was said to be off topic .. I mean I have or have had most the tinys ever made at one point .. and she really is no different
so lets hope ...caus she is a special little tiny ...and coloured resins are my addiction ..especially the dark and light tan , I love those in the tiny resin x

I got my first two of these little guys over Christmas via the marketplace - and they are both fabulous little dolls! still musing on names, but they fit my 12th scale dollshouses perfectly so they've got homes already!

Here is my crazy pink Russian tooth-fairy. He's... quite a character. And there's a lot of glitter.

 

Bracken is now insisting he needs to come live with me and take up residence in my dollhouse. I was sadly starting to loose interest in it (It was made from a kit 7 years ago when I was younger and my tastes have changed) but new residents would fix that! I also have a character for him in mind... such a mischievious face!

Great. Now I feel like he and Realpuki Aki are having an arguement at the top of their lungs in my head over who gets to come home first. They both have a bit of a dark side, which delights me but is likely to freak out part of my family. Hee hee hee.

Ordering and waiting for a Fairyland Real Puki has put me deeply back into dollhouses and miniatures. And for a long time I've known I would one day need a miniature candy store, for which BonBon would be a perfect owner. I just can't figure out what clothes she could wear. Not that she doesn't look rather sexy nude...

In my own news...my poor neglected girl got a pinch spoiled last night! Stumbled upon a little HAlloween Kelly doll at work last night, and just KNEW my girl would LOVE the outfit she was in. Best $6 I've spent on a Kelly in a LONG time! She also got a little pumpkin that's perfectly sized for her, too!



I need to take the top in a pinch at the sides to fit properly, but I LOVE how it looks on her! And she seems to really like it, too! And amazingly, the little headband with the tiny witch's hat on it fits fairly well, too. A tiny bit of work on IT to stretch out the curve of the plastic headband part and it'll work great for her!

Thanks, both of you! I've been trying to find another copy of the doll I got the outfit from, for a friend who wants it for her Pukis (the Kelly clothes fit them REALLY well, without alteration, so I'm always for trying Kelly things on my girls, and giving them to my friend if they just won't work, even with alterations) and I just can NOT find another one at work! I think I need to find another Target near home to look at, too!

Huge apologies if I'm just missing this information somewhere, but . . . could someone post two measurements of a large Moona or Fallow, please and thank you? I need the underarm length (from armpit to wrist), and the back length from nape of neck to low waist (the place where the hips curve out)? I've found chest, waist, and hip measurements in the Tinies size charts, and I've found the photo chart with measurements of little Moona, but I really need an inner-arm sleeve length and a back length for the large Moona body.

I just won the ebay auction for the gorgeous light tan Fallow, and I'm doing some advance knitting while she packs up for her transatlantic journey!

this discussion gone quiet? Can you still order these dolls? I bought chocolate resin Moona from carrie last year and just got a 2nd hand bracken in normal skin and they are lovely dolls. Has anybody tried them in heidi ott clothes or are there any easy sewing patterns for these lovelies? I cannot find the STICKY on clothes they will fit. Can anyone please help me?

 

Heidi Ott clothes fit. So do some tiny Brats things; if you're talking about the small Moona and Bracken. I have a small and large set of Moona and Brackens, love em so much I had to get a double set! And as far as I know yes you can still order them from the talented creator.
