Thanks nikopiko and froudfaerie. ^_^ Here are some pics of my Coco....who has become a Fallow by taking over Mina's old body: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?409223
Had a great dolly day today. ^_^ I worked on both of my Sleeping Elf girls--named both, and settled on a permanent look for my Mina! Please welcome Dru (Drucilla)! More pics here! My Coco/Fallow (seen a few posts up in the yellow robe) also got a name finally--and with it, a change of eyes. I was digging the gold, but when she settled on the name Lazuli, she demanded blue eyes to match! Pics to come later.
Thinking of you, Tinybear, and Pete and sending you much love and gentle hugs. I have a question about Large Moona, not the Tiny version. I am having her restrung and painted, and am wondering what size elastic works best for her. Last time I restrung her, the elastic was far too small to give her enough strength to stand. Suggestions? For Ayas: Bracken in blue skin with dark tan Moona
Ember received her new dress for the holidays and wanted to show it off. She loves playing in the tree. When I made her climb down she decided to hand out with 2 of her friends and their pet.
TY, I made those earlier this week for Ember and Shadow, Sebastian has a kelly pajama set on. so they get in the holiday mood. i sprained my foot a week ago but keep walking on it as i have christmas shopping to do lil i will let it rest next week lol.
I just wanted to say I'm expecting a tiny Mina. I also wanted to bump this up from page 2 so I could find it again....lol Is there a sticky for clothes and shoes?
I still need to get my tiny moona some shoes poor girl, if she was not a fire elf i would think her feet would be cold. my shoes for my bobobie tiny are too big and the kelly shoes are too small. i would love to snag a dark tan coco this year. we will see how money goes she is more $$ then alot of the other dolls i want. with 4 kids i try to stay around $100-$140 or less just to not feel guilty when i get a new doll. but she is really cute and would make a great lil friend for my tiny red moona. currently i need to order a body for my large moona head i think she has dibs since she is already here i plan to get her a resinsoul bei body. tried her on a march body it was a lil thicker then i would like so i decided to go with bei, it will be a couple months gotta recover from christmas shopping for the kids. congrats on your incoming mermaid if i was not broke currently i would have snagged one of her instock ones that are for sale.
Disir2K Thank you for the warm wishes! Although I am getting a human Mina...lol What clothes do they fit in?
my little pony girl clothes (on ebay dolls from the 80's), and bratz kidz, are what i have tried on my tiny moona so far. apparently banji and elf doll fit too and puki dresses as tops but i have not tried those myself.
Tiny Moona's can wear Bratz Kidz clothes, & Dawn vintage, for sure. The new Moxie kids will probably fit, as they are basically the same as Bratz. i have a question, does anyone have a Catsy and Moona or Bracken? I'm thinking of ordering a new Catsy and wondered how he would look with my crew of elves?
My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. I wanted to thank you for my beautiful Fallow. Pictures don't do her justice - she is a joy.
Just popping in with a photo of my tiny Cosme McMoon and wondering if anyone has had any news of Carrie? I have been concerned about her and her family.
My Moona, now that she has a face I like. She still hasn't decided on a name, but I'm sure she and I will agree on one soon.
Got my dark tan tiny mermaid Mina head in yesterday! She looks great on my Garden of Dolls Nabiyette body! Can't wait until I have time to paint, wig, and clothe her... >.<;
Here's one of my Minas as herself: I also have a mermaid Mina. Oops, I was afraid of that; I've been edited. I'll put them in a gallery post instead. Ok, here they are: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?466744-Minas-(Tinybear-Minas)-(mild-nudity)
Hello everyone, I was just hoping some of you could participate in my photo request thread about wanting to see tiny dolls that fit in with the 1/12 dollhouse scale http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...and-Their-Props-Furniture-Room-Dollhouse-etc.
I finally got a chance to work on my tiny Mina (on Garden of Dolls Nabiyette body)! I painted her face, blushed her chest, and painter her finger nails and toes. ^_^ Wheee! After I painted her today, I made her a home! Well, I made part of it...the structure was built, but I had to remove some fake greenery, then I shingled the roof with bits of bark (well, it was labeled as bark, but I think it's some kind of fungus actually...) and laid down some fur and feathers for her to lay in. It's hanging from my ceiling fan right now. XD http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v15/freque/sparrow/DSCN0837.jpg
Here's a close up of her faceup! Warning for her not having any clothes at the time it was taken? Gazania is meant to be a butterfly fairy, so she has HEAVILY fantasy faceup. Eventually her friend Dahlia, a Garden of Dolls Nabiyette, will get a new faceup that is just as fantasy to match, her being the flower fairy.
My Mina has arrived! Please meet Sora Now to get her some clothes of her own - the dress she's wearing in this picture is borrowed from my pukipuki... Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Sora by *~KCat~*, on Flickr
Sora is adorable! My little Moona fits in Kelly clothes so you might want to try those, or the tiny Bratz clothes.
My Fallow, Luzuli, got a new party dress and coat. ^_^ Thank you. ^_^ I french braided her hair yesterday...was quite a challenge! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v15/freque/lazuli/DSCN1409.jpg My tiny Mina has mermaid ears, but no tail. >.< http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v15/freque/sparrow/DSCN1445.jpg
I don't mind! I love her on the gardenofdolls body! Honestly I'm in love with those ears more than anything. What size eyes did you use in this girl? They look ITTY BITTY!
They're 6mm, but have a tiny iris. The ones at the bottom of this page: http://denverdoll.com/glibeyes6.php I'm not sure if I like them or not. They are a little too small, I think, but all the other eyes I have are too big. I can't really find any I'm happy with for her... Actually, Lazuli is wearing the very same eyes are in the pic above...after that shot, I took them out and to try them in my slightly smaller eyed Mina. Aya--old spam is good too. :3 Thanks, I do have some eyes from her, but they are glittery and in this tiny size, they ended up looking chunky and weird...I might have to try some more plain ones. And in other news, I finally named my tiny Mina/Nabiyette hybrid today! Completely uncreatively, I just mashed the two sculpt names together and now she is named Minabi. ^_^ Like I said, uncreative, but I think it suits her. I think I need to redo her faceup....her eyebrows are at a slightly weird tilt so she looks worried all the time. And her lipstick isn't even. I think I liked her better blank...
Periwinkle & Vair haven't been out for a while Clickable thumbnail Vair is blue Bracken and Periwinkle is dark tan Moona. His tiny shirt is from Banji and his pants are Bratz Kidz size (not the babyz size, as those are way too tiny) Peri's dress is a dollhouse size gown.
Thanks guys. ^_^ Niko--I know, right? It's she so perfect on that body? Yeah, I had to get the whole Nabiya, but Carrie was able to sell me just the tiny Mina head alone because she was just about to put in an order for a new batch and so was able to order just a head from BBB. It worked out for me though, because I had an extra body to sell off anyway...it was kind of a mess, let's see if I can get this straight... I started with a Coco, a large Mina, and a Nabiyette. Put Coco's head on lrg Mina body to make a Fallow. Put large Mina's head on a ResinSoul Bao body. Put Nabiyette's head on Coco's body and sold that one to Cowpeter, which left me with the Nabiyette body for the tiny Mina head. ^_^ sistercuervo--Adorable! the blue and chocolate look so good together. :3 And since I've already posted my other two Sleeping Elves on this page, here is my large Mina (on RS body), Dru!
Skimo--thank you. ^_^ nytheriel--I don't own this body anymore (the head went to become my Fallow), but here is an old pic of my Coco. :3
nytheriel: I'm the one that adopted that body from Raesha, with a Garden of Dolls Nabiyette head (both companies are cast by Bobobie so it's a dead on resin match). Here's a pic I just took this weekend:
Cowpewter--so good to see her being loved. ^_^ That's a beautiful dress, btw! I had an "ah-HA!" moment with my Mina hybrid today! Check out our photoshoot: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?512312
Sorry for the double post, but...no one has posted in weeks! :P Just got my Fallow back from being repainted--she's so lovely now! ^_^
Welcome back Carrie, it's good to see you posting again. kurogane - your Leif is adorable! I don't think I ever shared my sweet Tiny White Mina on here, so I'll put that right now
mikki your Mina is lovely and that hat is adorable!! kurogane Leif looks quite the dashing pirate, love his jacket!! I'm not sure how big a large Bracken's feet are compaired to a Large Moona but I know Carrie quite often buys the chunky, larger sized boots you get for Blythe dolls. It can be a bit trial and error but most of the Doc Martin style ones are a good start as they tend to be made big, just make sure the inner sole measurements are big enough. Hope that helps!! Took some pics of Whisper (lilac resin Large Moona) a few days ago and just like the way the wind blew her hair in this one!
Wow! so glamorous--she's beautiful! If you're looking for a body, ResinSoul and Bobobie's 27cm bodies are a really good fit and a perfect resin match (since they're all cast in the same factory). I have my Mina head on a RS Bao body. :3
now this is an interesting combination ..a baby Moona on the Thistledown body ..Moona head and she is really sweet
Could someone please help me with clothes for tiny Moona. What clothing will fit her. How about shoes. I am expecting my girl to arrive any day now and am anxious to have a trousseau ready for her. Any help would be appreciated. I am not much of a sewer. Janie
TinyBear! So glad to see you back again. I've loved all the beautiful new wig colors on Flickr. Kar I believe there is a thread about what fits tiny Moona. I do know doll house clothes in 1/12 scale fit and Tiny Bratz fit, too. Mine just wear wee scraps of leather most of the time.
Hello! I'm the owner of a lovely Bracken, and I'd love to restring him and change his eyes but! his head is glued shut! Has anyone else come up against this stumbling block and how did you solve it? I don't want to crack his head open
OMG ..its all changed here trying to find my way around again ! Harlequin ..its shouldnt be glued shut ...I do glue the wigs on ..but its only PVA glue it will peel off ..but Ive never glued on the head caps If he is one of the older Brackens ..the headcaps were held on by Putty ..all the older Bobobie dolls were ..before they started to use magnets If its putty ..it may have gone hard ...I use a blunt sculpting tool to pry open the head caps
Thanks for replying Carrie! He is indeed one of the first Brackens, he belonged to Buodeuwedd (not sure if I spelled that right!) so it probably was just hardened putty, but it definitely set like glue! In the end I carefully pried it apart with the blade of a knife and scraped out the hardened putty so all is well. I'm in the process of customizing him and will post pictures when he's done. Thanks!
I remember him xx Ive just worked out since the site changed Ive got to resubscribe to my threads ..so now I have ..I wont miss any postings xx
I just got my Moona yesterday ^^ Beautiful girl, I couldn't resist her with her freckles. She's supposed to be my Xmas present to myself though, so I just checked her over to make sure she arrived safely then tucked her back in her bag. Not allowed to play with her yet! But she'll be joining my crew of itty bitty fantasy creatures, with my Nabiyette/BonBon hybrid, Pukipuki, and Daisy Dayes centaur. Oh and Carrie, this is the first time I've gotten one of your wigs too, and I can't believe how soft the leather of the cap is. I've got plenty of other tibetan wigs but none have leather this soft, I don't know what you've done special but I love it
I love Carrie's wigs, too. I look forward to seeing your girl at Christmas. It's nice to get a Christmas doll.
