^ Part of my main story crew could sing a musical for you, if that counts. But actually replace ... I dunno. Probably not. That would feel like stealing a character, if that makes sense.

< feels so freaking good to be among musicians again. That one guy cracks me up a million times each rehearsal, and half the time is because he's saying stuff I'd been thinking but wouldn't dare say out loud.

v What situation or setting would your doll feel at home in? (Except from, you know, their actual home.)

 

^ although clover isn't too big on crowded places, she would feel comfortable at a game competition.

< oh wow few more hours and it's december.

v do your dolls have seasonal clothing?

 

^ Not all of them, but I'm trying to work on that. Katie has an xmas (sock) sweater, and part of my main crew have festive clothing. Given the fact I've had a bit of a population explosion on the doll shelf, not all the guys have sweaters yet ... but the socks haul from a couple days ago will hopefully change that.

< oh my, I have a bit of a musical crush on our cantor. That woman is 100% pure genius.

v What's your current project? (Can be making something, trying to get something re-homed, shelling someone, commissioning a special outfit ... anything counts.)

 

^ they are slowly getting them. I still have a lot to do for half of my crew, but, by and large, I am getting there.

EDIT: OOOps! too slow. I am trying my hand at making basic peasant blouses for my F65, I am hoping to make an underbust jacket to go with them.

< there is something to be said for bad health: it gets you to concentrate on more interesting things in life, like, BJDs for instance. .

V Who is getting the Xmas pullover this year and who is getting the socks?

 

^ Reid has an abundance of "ugly Christmas sweaters", mostly because he has the skills to make his own. His favourite is one with duplicate stitch lettering that says "Merry F*in' Christmas" (where the middle word is actually spelled out). Anyone on Reid's gift-giving list could potentially be the recipient of knitted Christmas socks. The most likely candidate to be gifted an ugly Christmas sweater is Reid's son, Rowan.

< urghhh.... my bullshit tolerance is at 0% today. I was feeling actual rage at a couple of whiny children on the bus, and I nearly screamed at some woman who stopped me on the street just to ask me if my take-away coffee was good. This has been the longest week of my life and I DO NOT WANT to be at work today.

V What's your doll/character's favourite holiday tradition?

 

^ I honestly don't think any of my characters have holiday traditions? John never celebrated any holidays prior to his accident, but he might want to now. Which could be his tradition.
His doll was given an ornament as a gift so I had him hang it...so the doll can have a tradition lol
Actually he's currently tangled in lights, which I did to him last year. So there, I found a real one.

V What are your thoughts on body blushing? Yes or no? Why?

 

^ Body blushing is a yes for me but just for the hands and feet if the doll has an outfit that shows those two limbs off, for the torso and hips and such, not as much. I don't see the point to blushing a torso that's gonna be covered up with clothing, mind you most of my dolls prefer to wear clothing that covers them rather than skimpy stuff so....it's an opinion! Though if it's a male doll with the abs and such, I'd seriously consider adding definition to those just 'cause they're abs. xD

<I got my pastel chalks in today so my Amara can have a faceup now! I'm so excited...and yet tired now, so maybe this weekend stuff will happen

v What is the ideal present your bjd would love most in all the world? Doesn't have to be realistic! My Amara wants her own orchestra....

^ Kai, lol Destiny would be ecstatic if she got kai.

< I am sometimes very amazed at the level of ridiculousness of some people.

v naughty or nice? What list will santa find your doll character on? And why?

 

^It's all across the spectrum, you could say. Most would be on the good list or on the borderline, while Zelle might qualify for just barely making it on the the naughty list. She's short tempered and hot headed, and it gets her in trouble a lot, I guess you could say.

< Two more weeks left of this semester. Hope it goes fast...

V One of your crew is a painter, and another is their client who has hired them to paint them in the nude.
Which of your crew would fill each role, and is there something more than client/artist involved in it?

^ Atonia is a humble painter when princess Tacet of the house of Auratus comes to her demanding she be able to commission her. Atonia is shocked when she gets there to paint Tacet and the girl is nude but for a swathe of pink silk draped over the back of the chair the drifts down one leg. Atonia adjusts ists position, and in the process makes Tacet very much want more than a painting. She’s just gotten a sketch laid out when she notices her model has assumed a more provocative position, until ultimately something beautiful does ensue.

V what is the most trouble any one of your dolls/characters has ever been in?

 

^ having his head cut off in a war he doesn't understand. That's why I'll never buy him his body unless it is better looking than the one available.

< I should have avoided the vegetables.

V If your BJD could choose his place of birth, where and when would she/he be born?

 

^ Lady Red would choose to be born in the late nineties in Amsterdam so she could be a twentysomething now. Women have a lot more rights than they did in her time (the dark ages). Amsterdam because it just has a similar vibe to her, and a lot more explanation would be nsfw. She appreciates that they don’t seem to judge people for sleeping around as much there, or at least that’s how it seems to me.

< Wow that guy does not want to be my friend. Oops.

V where and when would your doll choose to be born?

 

^ I think most of mine would choose to be born exactly where and when they actually were born. Scarlett would be the exception to that. She'd probably want to be born in the 1930s or 40s, so she would be the right age to be a glamorous 50s actress.

< I'm trying hard to care, honestly, bot so much is not right.

V Does your doll/character enjoy grocery shopping? Why or why not?

 

^ Mara loves it when she has time, because it's giving her ideas for what to cook / bake / treat her loved ones to next. When she doesn't have time for much, she dislikes it for the same reason: Lots of ideas + no time = frustration.
Jamie hates it with a passion, because it means going out and *shudder* being amongst people.
Katie usually forgets she needs to go, then when she realizes she's out of food runs out without a list, gets overwhelmed, and ends up buying the same things she always gets, which isn't a very enjoyable way of doing things.
Jo likes it, because she usually comes home with lots of fresh fruit and veggies, resulting in yummy meals and healthy, yet tasty snacks.

v We had snow the other day and the elves wanted to run right outside and play. What's your doll/character's favourite season and why?

 

^ Alex's favorite season is fall because everything dies. And because he hates spring (too wet and too green), summer (too hot) and winter (too cold and snow.). Fall is all that's left.

> When you decide to downsize your collection and then realize you really want to remake two dolls you were just thinking of selling and it's only 11 am and you're at work. Want to go home now.

V Have you ever completely changed one of your dolls? What did you do and how did it go?

 

^ well, my Chiwoo girl was meant to be into ribbons, cute dresses, lace etc. It turns out she is a tomboy, prefers shorts, boots and trousers, likes to run wild, and in the whole is very street-wise, or should I say world-wise. I even added freckles to her home-made face up and she looks great in her brother's short wig.

< That beef burger knocked me for six. Isn't the thing meant to give you energy?

V It is winter time. Your BJD is given the opportunity to go wherever he/she wants with you in tow. Where does he/she decide to go and do?

 

^ Most of them (especially the ones who are more or less "my age" and miss "real winters" with snow and stuff) would want to go somewhere with snow and frozen lakes to go sledding and ice skating. I'd totally be on board with that! One or two would probably want to go somewhere warmer, but that's definitely not my thing to do in winter. I like my seasons in their proper order.

< Yay for two rehearsals in a row, and yay for concert tomorrow! Feels like xmas already, I'm so excited it's ridiculous.

v What does your doll/character get excited about that others (probably) don't?

 

^ Macarons (Good. Macarons). You could bribe Kouri decently well into doing anything for a few exquisitely crafted macarons. Then you've got Sora, who would quite easily kill for his marbles...don't say they're "just marbles" if you don't want to burst into flames.

< My brain hurts.

v Do any of your dolls/characters have disabilities?

 

^ Ed has his automail, as prosthetics for his missing limbs (that mod's still in progress), Prae is blind, and Maren has visual issues due to his albinism. I think that's all of them.

< I knew this would happen today, so I'm not surprised, just frustrated. You're wrong all the time about this issue, and surprise, you were wrong again and, as usual, things broke down and now I'm stuck waiting.

v What would your doll/character give anything for?

 

^ Azrael would give up anything for the man she’s protecting, whether she’s a guardian angel still or whether she’s already a reaper. She’s already literally died for him.

<I just want to order her! Why can’t I have money? Student life....

V repeating this: what would your doll/character give up everything for?

 

^ Jack.
But then he'd also give up everything for a hot dog or a sandwich...so...

V Is your doll/dolls character hoping for something special for the holidays?

 

^ My girls want me to get them a pla-kit dragon from AileenDoll - they just have to be good (but really I’m waiting to see if they’ll release their Rot one)

v Gonna continue the question: what do your dolls want for Christmas??

 

^ Ian just wants his dang flannel. Which, he should get for Christmas, but it'll be a little late since I don't have the money at the moment.

< Just decorated the tree, I feel accomplished.

v Does your doll('s character) like decorating for the holidays? If yes, what kind of decorations do they put up? If no, why don't they like it?

 

^ Most of my boys are from other worlds that don't have Christmas but since they have arrived here they have embraced at least the giving/sharing and jolly portion of the holiday. The Pub decorates because it expected and makes the other customers happy. The younger ones just want all the presents. (I may put lights on Hart's antlers!!!)

^Dang cold front, my nose is runny, yuk!

v What are you or your dolls planning for the new year?

 

^ To finally complete my two floaters and get poor Elliot some friends. Gobbie is there, but storywise he is not supposed to know she exist until way later, so he is all on his lonesome. And then come clothes. I also have a special project to complete, if my job lets me stay home long enough to get anything done.

> Hiding in my sleeping bag from the cold. Hopefully don't have to work in it again tomorrow.

v What do you wish you could get for your dolls?

 

^ Rooms or backgrounds/drops, props for my DC character dolls and the OCs I have who exist in the future. furniture that is more like furniture people own instead of the crazy fancy or cute stuff most doll companies make. Like old, beat-up stuff. My dolls aren't rich. They have crap. A bathtub for a 70cm doll. anything for a 70cm doll. Suits in different colors. Clothes in a more post-apacalypic style, like the old Anotherspace stuff. Pretty much everything.

V It's event time again! Are you partaking in any companies events??

 

^ Yes! With the new SID Model body, Iple is back in the running and I have joined an event GO hoping to get Mr. Troublemaker home (Michael, the last of my main story OCs who has so far rejected every sculpt I've thrown at him). Iple has had a suitable sculpt for him for years, but the lack of body options ruled him out. Not anymore

< ugh. Yesterday kicked off the concert season and it was great ... why am I feeling so completely bleh today? Is there such a thing as an emotional hangover? If so, I got it.

v Similar question, is there any event that's been waiting just for you? (And if so, what are you getting?)

 

^ Mmm... Yes and no? Doll In Mind's event where they made some of their discontinued heads available was perfect for figuring out what sculpt I wanted Ashton to be, but unfortunately I had jack diddly bumpkis for money at the time it happened. So no Laia for me!

< I just realized my story doesn't need main characters. I feel so free!

v Have you ever made any major changes not to your doll's characters, but to their story? Whether it's changing the plot, the structure of it, changing who's the main character, or what have you.

 

^ when I decided to screw up the entire timeline by making Tacet and Euphony twins that was... good. And the. Made Cacophony unrelated and suddenly both of the twins want him and that was also good. But I love writing her, and this put her in book one, so...

<why must this series be so bad but so addictive?

< 63F in my bedroom but it feels colder, because there is snow here in my yard three blocks from the shore in Texas.

v Do your characters like the snow or do they prefer a balmy beach somewhere?

 

^ No, and actually no.....my dolls like neither snow nor do they like beaches. Too much sand, sun and water.

> Now that lunch is over I can pretend that it's a new day and start fresh. My computer will work the rest of the day. It will. Because if not I'm chucking it out a window. I don't have a window, but someone will and it's going out.

^ Elliot curses. But he curses no matter what. Ji-Han might let his cool facade slip. And Ollie would move around, paving, talking, whatever.

v What is something rare your doll would want to see?

 

^ Well, Starr wants to see/meet aliens, it's is as rare as it could be impossible.He technically has already been abducted by aliens but has amnesia and can't remember. Shh, don't tell him.

< So many dolls I want right now and so very, very little money to order them with. Prioritising is hard

v Have any of your dolls met aliens or maybe some other strange/supernatural being?

 

^ Ray dates a supernatural being from another world for a year and a half before he was killed, and Miracle, who really needs a name that isn’t his GF’s nickname for him dates an angel while he’s human, and ultimately winds up with a reaper and a gargoyle. Then Frost, while they’re briefly human in their novella dates a grim reaper from ancient Roman society who apparently was in love with a prior incarnation of them.

The rest of my characters are non humans.

V what’s the next thing you plan on ordering for your doll?

 

^ Hands. Poor Sven needs the default Miro shovels / paddles replaced. Apart from that ... looks like I'm pretty much done buying stuff for the time being. Bit of resin still to happen, then we'll see.

< Where's my motivation gone? I have all the free time today but I feel like going into hibernation instead. And we even got snow today and I love snow! Hoping for real winter weather to stick around instead of turning back into "raining cats and dogs just above freezing point" mode

v What's your doll's favourite weather?

 

^ Cool (not cold, a nice cool) and dry. not too much sun. Or no sun at all depending on who you ask. Sometimes rain.
That also might be my favorite weather....

V What doll do you wish you could be working on/playing with right now? (can be one you actually own, or not)

 

^i want to be working on my Twigling gamine/resinsoul boy, who is going to be a beautiful mothlike boy, complete with gauzy wings that light up and pose. He’s going to be an absolute dream to make, even if half his wardrobe has to be custom made because of how specific his look is, and such. Mostly I just want to be dying his head and building his wings... even though I have literal endless wing projects...

V who is the newest character you want to shell as a doll?

 

^ Well, my plans for shelling right now is my oc Chase! He's a tattoo artist and has a ton of tattoo and piercing mods needed....

< I have gotten myself a very difficult project.

v Do you have any props you want for your dolls?

 

^ Quite a few actually! I'd love to get Solace an ornate oversized scythe, Yuu needs some kind of gothic/ornate sword and RAYNE (my Dollfie Dream) needs a machine gun and a full face gas mask. I've yet to find any, unfortunately

< Been busy making my decora and fairy kei boys their jewelry. It's so much fun

^ Oh yes, where do I begin?? I want some modern/futuristic SD-sized furniture; a smartphone or tablet; and a sci-fi-esque gun of some sort. Not a lot to be found in the way of sci-fi/futuristic accessories for dolls

v Have you re-shelled a character before?

 

^ Nah, I just got a bunch of stuff I can't even get to yet because my job feels like being in a time freeze. So I'll enjoy the sewing machine, wig, shoes, and eyelashes all waiting for me to come home and take them with me to my parents' house where my dolls are. Well, not the sewing machine. It's a bit cumbersome.
