Contest The Great Triathlon Challenge #1: Under Glass

Thank you all very, very, very much for your kind words! I appreciate it so much. Your messages really lifted my spirits this morning!!! And admittedly I was no where near finished at midnight. The triathlon is no joke. I'm already impressed with everyone who made it through that first challenge! What a doozy.

I for one would still love to see what you guys have created if you manage to finish/feel like posting!! For all the comments they both sound awesome!!

So unique @mince!!! It looks like a teaser for a photostory!!

 

Since I couldnt enter, I'll go ahead and say that it eventually became inspired by Final Fantasy XIII-2....the second part of the triathlon would have worked perfectly for that what with the paradoxes and time travel x.x ughhhhh. So... basically crystal + clear plastic + armor + goddess = my entry.

edit: I think I'm going to whip out the sewing machine and see if I can figure it out and try and finish it in the next few days.

 

Ooooh! Now I desperately want you to finish!

edit: the only part I'm not sure about is the helmet design.... and I still wanted to make her a sword too.

 

I do want to finish, so I will be continuing in a few days (other commitments cropped up last minute, so concentrating there right now ) but hopefully I'll have time to squeeze in one of the other events. Mine was pretty much supposed to be a 'gown of the future' lol. All clear plastic and mesh/tulle fabric with a few embellished bits haha

No clue what I'd have done for the clock though nothing comes to mind that would match my girl even now lol. That may just be because the dress itself is completely opposite to her regular character though, so I may be stuck on that

I'll share pics if I get it done though

@The Raven I really want to see yours now too. Armour is something I really want to try myself someday, it must be difficult to come up with. I look forward to seeing it completed (sword and all )

Oh my gosh, picking just four is going to be so hard! I did my first look through just to see everything and read the inspirations. I'll have to go back one or two more times now and start popping entries into new tabs until I can narrow it down (this is more effective than writing them down for me, cause if I have twenty tabs open, I'll have to start eliminating some or I'll make myself nuts! XD)

Thank you very much... but don't get me started! The prompt to use an "old" doll/character with a lot of back story was super helpful!

I wish that I could finish the challenge but that won't be possible since my DH tore open the puffer to harvest his jellybeans and I crushed the many fins that my doll was supposed to wear in a fit of frustration since the things weren't dry after three days. Three days! The humidity I guess. I'm not starting over, haha. Maybe I will move on to another contest... that will get half finished!

I will leave it to @Forever to, finish it!!!

The challenge obviously inspired everyone because, WHOA, those entries are so awesome! It will be difficult to pick only four! Good luck with the time piece everyone!

I'm sad I couldn't find time to complete my entry, but now that entries are up I'll go ahead and tell y'all my idea:
The Emporer's New Clothes. I was going to dress a dollzone jing in royal looking transparent clothes with a crown, and pose several laughing and pointing pukipuki behind him for the style photo.

 

Oh that would've been adorable!

@mince Thank you, I do hope so, too. I'm fine with challenge #2, but I'll have very little time for the third challenge (which will probably the hardest).
