I'm always so happy when I see this thread pop up again! I took some new pictures of Theia, my Choa the other day and I'd love the chance to share her with everyone!

I am SO loving seeing all the photos *happy sigh*..........thank you so much everyone for posting them.
I still have such a soft spot for these CH dolls.

And I am one who still loves the old original slender single jointed body female body.

 

Oh wow… the Hyun and Cyn overhauls are disappointing. The Petite Ai look much better. I'll still be interested to see who else they release(any guesses?)

Do any of you have the postcards? I was looking through all of mine just the other day and it made me so happy! I'm thinking of starting a trading thread for them to see if I can find one of my Forest Ai Jun. I also have two tee shirts and the poster, which I adore! Who else had swag?

 

whisperwolf I have lots of postcards, will dig them up and have a look. Which one was Forest Ai Jun? Can you show aq photo of your boy?
Oh gosh and I had a tee shirt, I wore it as a bed shirt until it dropped to bits!
One of the best gifts CH ever sent me was a pair of dressing mitts.

I had the t-shirt too and wore it to pieces. I'll look and see if I have any postcards, but not sure I ever saw one for Forest Ai Jun.

 

I'll see if I can search down a pic of him. I sold him ages ago and still regret it. He had the long leather duster with all the strappy belts and such, steampunkish before it was a thing I'm sad the wayback machine stopped working!

Back in 2015 when I acquired him, the pleather outfit he came with was kaput sadly, but he himself is still going strong and is lovely to this day.

It's nice to know even though shiny, new companies/fads come and go, the classics like Custom House still get love.

 

Oh, man, I still have a bunch of the postcards, too, plus a little "Doll Contest 2003 Autumn" booklet I'd completely forgotten about.

I totally understand loving your old dolls again! First loves are hard to forget.

 

@pianissimo no she was a basic Cebee. I sent her for a custom faceup upon her arrival from CH. It's a very early Angel Toast faceup that she has currently.

@Rabbit-moon they are! My old dolls will always be my favorite. Cebee was one of my first loves upon entering the hobby. Took a few years for me to get her since I also had fallen in love with the CP Delfs as well and had to make difficult decisions about who to get back then! I'm still sad that I missed out on some of the sculpts I had fallen in love with back then.

 

Yes, Malvinas, me too! I still regret not getting a CH Choa when I had the chance. But, I was so focused on the boys in my collection back then.

If you have a picture of your Choa that you would like to share, I'd love to see her!

 

For me Choa feels like a true classic bjd sculpt. It really really brings me back to "the good old days". Wow I feel old saying that! haha.

I'm happy to share my Choa! I haven't taken any new pictures of her in ages and really need to remedy that. Maybe this weekend I'll make a point of giving her some camera time.

Here is a really old picture of her though (it's about 10 years old at this point. She really needs new photos!) This is Theia.

I need to get around to some new doll portraits now that there's actually daylight.

 

I see a Choa and I raise you...Soye! A very cluttered background and just some hastily added clothing, but she's found her hair and eyes...

I know I'm not the OP, but I went back to look and can say with confidence it's a Soom Spinel.

One day soon I'm hoping to add to this thread. I have quite a few CH girls but not a reliable way to photograph them. CustomHouse is my favorite doll company.

 

I was looking at CH too for boys but they seem hard to find ! My sis and a girl and she was super cute. Yes he could a Spinel, thank you .

I only discovered Custom House dolls as the company was folding & fell in love with a couple of girls fs in the mp so I have no experience with CH boys except for those posted here.

Looks like a Miya? That is a fantastic price, but I've never ordered from Y!J before. Hope someone else can give her a good home!

 

Yes I think Miya as well. Specifically the Merchen AI Snow White maybe? I could be totally wrong but that's my current best guess.
